As you know, when we conduct an investigation the purpose is to determine if there is spirit evidence to prove, the purpose is the purpose is to prove if there is sufficient evidence in court. If you take court and take a piece of evidence and you rely on a witness you have to consider issues that go to creditability of the witness or the credibility of the evidence. You use the term foundational evidence. Im not sure what you have in mind. If for example director mueller relied upon a document that mr. Strozk produced, or a statement he took or call him as a witness, obviously you need to consider that evidence that would be evidence that would tend to impeach his credibility. Been an advocate to make sure reuniting them as fast as possible. One of the challenges we face in the administration that your network covered is that with the most recent District Court case in san diego that says you must keep parents and children together, there is another law that Congress Passed in 2008 that says after 20 days, the children must be released. So if you have to keep them together, and you have to release them, the natural consequence is families will be released in the United States with the expectation of showing up for a court date to be adjudicated in the future. That creates incentive for the additional open borders. So there is a growing crisis on the southern border. We need the help of congress to pass legislation to give the administration the tools to make sure that these families are detained together as they go through the adjudication process. Some of the children by the time they are released, their parents have already been booted from the country. They have been deported. What does the future look like for the thousands of children who need to be reunited just based on what your are capable of doing now as a what you are capable of doing now as a federal government . The federal government has a very successful way of reuniting the families. The challenge we face is the law in 2008 was wellintended. In many cases children were being sexually trafficked across to the United States border and they were victims. So Congress Said lets separate them quickly and put them in the h. H. S. Facilities for their protection. That created an incentive for coyotes and the human traffickers to say hey, lets take your children and push them across the boarder to get them out of your country. Along the way we find in many cases they are sexually and physically abused getting across the across the thousandmile journey to border. This is wellintended but we need to fix the law so if they come across we keep them together many Detention Center through the adjudication process. Right now the law requires you release them in 20 days and the adjudication process is not complete. So they are like go in the American Society and rarely, less than 10 ever get deported. People in south america and mexico know that. Its an incentive to push them across the border. Well, an effort by republicans to recenter the Supreme Court that started under Ronald Reagan that really started 40 years ago and more after the roe v. Wade decision is going to bear fruit this year. They are going to get to the point where the center point on the Supreme Court which once upon a time was Sandra Day Oconnor and today is Anthony Kennedy is likely, quite likely in fact to be john roberts. A justice who would have been seen as very conservative 20 years ago likely now to end up as the midpoint as the deciding vote on so many cases. That tells you how far and how long republicans have worked. And how successful they have been at remaking the Supreme Court. Harris so, you know, chris, we are all covering in the news right now the fear that has been infused in the conversation from one side of the political aisle saying you will lose things like abortion rights. Roe v. Wade may be tinkers with, like a thousand cuts i have heard some people say. What are the realistic areas that you think a more conservative court would look at and want to change . Well, the biggest question is more than anything else, what is the power of the executive branch . Do the regulatory agencies have the authority to come to the courts and say we are speaking the truth, we carry the power of decisionmaking and coming like a prosecutor would in a case. What is going to happen if you have justice more conservative on the court, you have a possibility that the federal government standing, the executive Branch Standing on the Supreme Court is going to be neutralized and they will be just another defendant, or just another litigant in a court. That is a big deal for people who are small government conservatives. I do agree with the democrats who talk about its not going to be overturning roe v. Wade. Its not in one moment that roe v. Wade is overturned. We have already seen by the way in the past decade more and more restrictive rules as it relates to access to elective abortion come in play from states across the country. The court as constituted approved those and i will expect that you will continue to see not one massive overturning of roe v. Wade but a continuing allowance for more restrictions on elective abortions. Harris we look across the country and we how people are voting and an outsider in the white house who expresses himself and people greet with a thank you for coming and being real and raw. Where is the country . If they are center right, what is the fight for democrats . Ma should be the message . If the country is center right, how do you fight that . People hold different opinions. There are strong proponents of the Second Amendment and the same time believe that elective abortion should be available.
