let's begin with the brutal mob attack on three off duty u.s. marines in california. i always say a marine is really never off duty. orange county sheriff's department charged nine minors, five are facing felony assault with deadly weapon. began late friday near san c clamanty pier. they asked them to stop launching fireworks. look at what happened. if you have little ones in the room, video can be disturbing. u.s. marines left with no choice but to curl up into the fetal position. angry mob didn't let up. fortunately bystanders were able to jump in and break up the mob. orange county sheriff's department marines declined medical transportation to a nearby hospital. investigation ongoing. interesting. when you see camera angles like that and know there are people around. i don't know. always brings warmth to my heart people are willing to get involved. i can see if they wouldn't. >> this is awful to watch on memorial day when we are supposed to honor soldiers. this is a military town. what bothers me most these are juveniles. there was a mob of 40 allegedly involved, 40 on these marines. where are the parents of these kids. we have to take a pause for a second and start to talk about how we treat our veterans in this country. my wife and i no one is perfect. every time we see a police officer or a military or soldier, we make our boys walk up to them by themselves, shake their hand and say thank you. that is it. can we start building a culture of thanks for our veterans in this country?
