Report. Please join me this weekend for fox news sunday. We have the latest on wrins vote to leave the eu and talk possible trump running mate Newt Gingrich and clinton manager robby. Ceu later. The british is smoking and they want out. They want out from the European Union. The historic vote sending shock waives across the globe. And here in the United States your wallet is feeling it. Democrats trust day for u. S. Stocks. Not just stalks. The brexit vote could impact our 2016 election. The parallels between donald trump and the leave movement obvious. Newt gingrich tweeting. This people were sick and tired of elites in london dictating to them populist insurgency very similar to the u. S. The speaker goes on the record in just minutes. John bolton, Maria Baltimore and baltimore,. I will do everything i can to steer the ship, but i dont think its right for me to be the captain that steers to the next direction. I want to assure everybody britain will continue to be a great european power leading discussions on Foreign Policy and defense and intelligence sharing and all the work that currently goes on to make our world safer. The eu is failing. The eu is dying. I hope we have knocked the first bring out of the wall. I hope this is the First Step Towards a europe of sovereign nation states trading together, neighbors together, friends together, but without frags, anthems or useless old unelected president s. On the record has Live Team Coverage u. K. To the new york stock exchange, we begin with Fox News Foreign Affairs correspondent Benjamin Hall in london. Hi there, greta. Britain woke up a new, independent britain. Also an uncertain britain. This is over 40 years since they vote to do join the eu. And suddenly overnight they voted to leave. What lies ahead is uncharted territory. Global markets crashed as a result and saw biggest one day slide since 2011. Almost 2 trillion lost in value with the dow dropping 400 points in the first minute of trading alone. Yet, the u. K. s biggest challenge still lies ahead that dealing with this messy divorce from europe. To do that they must first trigger article 50. That formally notified their intention to withdraw from the eu and sets a 2year clock running. Vast negotiating teams will be formed to go over every detail of the separation. Early successes for the leave camp in the north of england first signs last night that the government was really in trouble. As the night went on, it became clear that the outcome was going to surprise everyone. The final decision was called just after 7 00 a. M. This morning. And not long after that David Cameron, who had
steaked his leadership on the outcome resigned. The countrys new direction is now away from europe. The leave camp promised the electorate that it would take back control of immigration policies, trade deals and sovereignty. Now it just has to figure out how. Nobody really knows what comes next. This is uncharted territory. But the negative great lakes are going to be long and complicated. Europe doesnt want to show other countries in the group that its okay to leave and terrified that other countries might do so. They also need to trade with the u. K. We are going to see a very messy dance going on over the they try to figure this out. Even here in england 48 of people did not want to leave. Very divided here. Very divided in europe. And that is being felt around the world tonight. So, big moment here for the europeans. Benjamin, thank you. And a market freakout today. The u. S. Markets going off the cliff on the news of the brexit vote. And your wallet probably took a beating. Fox Business Network anchor liz liz claman is at the new york stock exchange. Liz . It was outright stunner. I got a new number for you. They just taled it, the amount of losses on paper only. If you didnt sell anything today you are okay. The losses on paper are now tallying 900 billion on the u. S. Stock market. Just horrifically ugly day it of course started overnight when the leave camp appeared and said we won and they did so the politicians got it wrong. The trashedz got it wrong. Everybody got it wrong and the markets really got it wrong. So as our markets start to do falcon teenage john radiated nearly every sector. The u. S. Dollar, greta, actually spiked because this was the one safe haven along with things like gold and u. S. Treasuries. The u. S. Dollar spiked the most since 1978 in the your your youre revolution. Brexit in the mirror. You start to do see countries come up with their own names because some do
feel that they want to rid themselves of the bureaucracy that is the euro land. What did you see . You saw things like frexit for france. Check out for the czech republican. It leave for italy. Austria to portugal. Number one thing to point out here is that the stay camp failed to understand how people felt in england outside of london. It would sort of be like if we had the same type of vote here and only listened what was going on in new york and washington, d. C. How do the rest of england feel . Well now we know, it is really very much this euro sen centricity. It is felt on our u. S. Stock markets. Our future which give us an indication how the markets might open on monday fell even further than where we closed today. What does that tell you . Still a lot of fear with peoples money. Sit tight. Liz, thank you. Well, a whopping impact from the historic brexit vote is rippling across the globe. Long and uncertain road ahead. Ambassador john bolton goes on the record from the u. K. Good evening, sir. Glad to be with you. All right. You are there. Is the vote because they are sick of the red tape and they want to free themselves of the eu or is it much like here in the United States with sort of the sanders and trump sanders and trump campaigns where there is a lot of resentment . Well, i think its about selfgovernment. And i know the tendency is to put everything into the focus of whats happening today in the United States, but this debate has been going on in britain for 43 years. There was great reluctance to get into the European Union. It has never abated. And the debate intensified 25 years ago with the treaty and the decision not to go into the euro. So, this fight has taken a long time to play out. And it reflects deeply held
views in the United Kingdom that actually they like governing themselves. How is that for a radical thought . But what provoked it though . Its been going on 25 years. Why now . David cameron made a huge mistake. He made a huge mistake in the 2015 election by promising a referendum and by saying he would renegotiate a fundamental change in the relationship between the United Kingdom and the eu. He failed to get that in the negotiations and i think that convinced many brits there is no effective way to reform the European Union. Were out. Hymn say one thing about how close the vote was, 52 to 48. Of the 48 who vote to do remain. Thats not a proeu vote. Thats a vote against the uncertainty. Even the remaining people called their position, remain and reform. Reform was not going to happen in the European Union. It takes exactly this kind of Shock Therapy which the brits have administered. All right. So whats the brits role in
the world going to be now. What kind of adjustment . What are we going to see now . I realize its going to take a while to unravel from the eu but whats the difference going to be . Im not so sure its going to take that long. I think its to britains advantage and eu to do this more quickly. We will see. Britain can now rid itself of the sclerotic overregulation of the brussels bureaucrats. Reduce taxes and regulations. Be a much more attractive place for foreign investment. All this doom and gloom that you hear from financial geniuses who simply misunderstood what the british people thought. They made these same arguments 20 plus years ago when britain was considering joining the june. How can london survive as a financial capitol if it doesnt join the euro and they didnt and its still a financial capital. Ohio could so many british politicians completely misread their people to think this couldnt happen . Theology. Inside the European Union it is inconceivable that anybody would not want to be part of the European Union. Thats what you hear from the continental european leaders today. I will tell you one of the real significant impacts of the british vote will not only be in britain, it will ripple across europe. Theyre already talking about research da referda. People are dissatisfied with their politicians who have been pursuing this project and disregarding the people. This, to me, is the most fundamental point. The European Union has never been primarily about business and economics. It has, from its inception, in the treaty of rome in 1957, been a political project to form a united europe as an alternative poll to the United States. And that project is now on the road to failure. Ambassador, thank you very much, sir. Thank you. Okay. Guess where donald trump is. The u. K. In scotland at his golf course. He took a moment to congratulate the british people for retaking control of their country. I really do see a parallel between whats happening in the United States and whats happening here. People want to see borders. They dont necessarily want people pouring into their country that they dont know who they are and where they come from. They have no idea. And i think, you know, not only win but much bigger margin than people thought could happen. Nobody really knows, you will know in five years. You will be able to analyze it and maybe it will take longer than that what is known is that they have taken back their independence. Thats a very, very important thing. Theyre standing in the world. They are standing in europe will certainly be diminished. Influence will be diminished. Will they be the first call for you for the u. S. I dont know first call or second call. They will be a very powerful call. Its going to be a great relationship. They will be great allies. They always have been. I think zero will change on that score. There has never been a better ally. I think nothing will change on that score. You are taking your country back. Youre going to let people that you want into your country and people that you dont want or people that you dont think are going to be appropriate for your country or good for your country, you are not going to have to take. You know, look, europe like the United States has made tremendous mistakes over the last period of time. You look at germany and some of the things that are happening, there have been tremendous mistakes that have been made. So i think its going to end up being a very good thing but it will take time. What do you think it says how Hillary Clinton has maybe misread the world and since she a former secretary of state, what does that say about her. She has always misread everything. She has misread this. I was surprised she was so bold. The only reason she did it is because obama wanted it. If obama wanted it the other way, if he said leave, she would have said leave. She does whatever he wants her to do. Now, you know, but thats okay. We dont have to get into that. But, i was actually very
surprised that president obama would have come over here and he would have been so bold as to tell the people over here what to do. In the United States, the people want their country back. In the United States, people want smart decisions, not dumb decisions. And we have been given dumb decisions for many years and the people are tired of it. And i have a feeling the same thing has happened over here ands that why you had the result that you had. Now, this message of frustration with the establishment parallels both senator Bernie Sanders and Donald Trumps race for the white house. Former speaker of the house Newt Gingrich goes on the record. Good evening, sir. And one of the things you tweeted today about this whole brexit and about donald trump was this. Solid, positive statement by real donald trump, thats his handle on twitter on reaffirming u. S. British ties after the vote. Churchill and thatcher would be proud. What did you mean . Well, historically we have been very, very close to Great Britain. Less close under obama. His intervention was totally
inappropriate. And he sort of threatened the british people. It back fired on him. I think what trump is saying is that first of all, he respects the britishs peoples right to choose. I think he would have been porch whichever way they went. But, in addition, he wanted to reassure them that the unique relationship we have had with Great Britain for a very long time will continue in a trump administration. I think thats something that churchill who worked very hard to foster the relationship and thatcher who was extraordinarily close to ronald reagan, they would both have appreciated an american making that kind of statement. Would they not expect to hear that from other candidates . Would they hear that from secretary clinton . Are you suggesting they would not . I think secretary clinton is so totally favor of bureaucrats that she would automatically be in favor of brussels over london. She is so in favor of large, complex, multinational operations that she would favor the European Union over Great Britain. Just as she favors large, multinational operations
over the United States. The fact is you have clear choice here. Do we move towards reform and towards taking back control of our country or do we continue to allow lawyers and diplomats and bureaucrats to set the path for us . And i think its going to play out here as it has in europe. We just saw by the way two women elected as mayors of rome in a Remarkable National uprising in which a comedian established a brand new anticorruption party. They beat all the regular establishment parties, so the indicates are not just brexit, you are seeing again and again around the world. People are sick of their elites they are sick of the corruption and being sick of being told they have to obey some weird set of ideologies they dont believe in. Let me bring the viewers in for a second. I like to bring them in to vote. Now is your chance to vote or twitter is brexit good for trump tweet yes or no to
greta. We will show the results throughout the show. You said people are sick and tired of the elites in london dictating them. Populist insurgency very similar to the u. S. Tell me. Well, i think its obvious. You had the entire british establishment was opposed to leaving. From the Prime Minister on down. The financial leadership, the intellectual leadership. All of them said dont leave, dont leave, dont leave, and the average voters ran over them. You had the same thing happen in rome and in turen this week. You almost had it in austria. The insurgent barely lost. The traditional parties literally were not in the runoff because people are so sick of them. I think this is a very strong signal that the election this fall could literally be the American People versus the washington bureaucrats. And i think that bodes very, very badly for Hillary Clinton. Is it because in your view both in britain and United States is that the
American People and abercrombie and fitch people are fed one what the politicians are telling them. Fed up with the recession. Fed up with the falling apart and tax system. Is this another way to say enough and we want to move on and we are sick and tired of the socalled politician elites telling us whats good for us . Sean spicer has this great chart that just has the word enough. And the h at the end of it is hillarys h but with a downward arrow. Enough of being told that orlando was not about terrorism. Enough of being told that we have to pretend terrible schools have to be protected because the Teachers Union wants them. Enough of being told that we have to allow in thousands and thousands of additional Syrian Refugees about whom we know nothing and cannot possibly vet. Go down the list of all the things we are told. Look at the washington metro after billions of dollars. Its a disaster. How many things have to fail for the average american to finally decide the bureaucracy and the
establishment cant deliver. Lets try something new. Dont get me started on the d. C. Metro system. Anyway, mr. Speaker, thank you, sir. Good to be with you. Well, the eu shakeup is rattling international relations. With the london out of the eu. Somehow germany responding . Fox Business Network correspondent adam shapiro is live in berlin. Adam . Yes, greta. Angela merkel, the chancellor here in germany actually held a press conference at about 12 30 this afternoon and issued a statement where she said only together will the eu be able to assert its interests in the world. She then told everybody to remain calm because you had different eu leaders lashing out against the u. K. And the decision to leave the eu. But those leaders, a few of them are coming here to berlin on monday. For instance, the president of france hollande, he will be here. The Prime Minister of italy will be here. They will be discussing how they go forward. And thats before the big meeting on tuesday in brussels. You also have dissension within the eu and they are afraid they wont be able to contain it. You have the politician in holland, mr. Wilders, who has already said that conservative politician that the dutch need to have their own brexit referendum and decide whether they want to stay in the eu or not. You have marie lapin in france also saying its time for the french to consider whether they want to stay in the eu or not. The seeds of dissension are already there. What were seeing, you know, multiply in the u. K. Is taking root in other parts of europe. Greta . Adam, thank you. Adam shapiro in germany. Thank you. And it was britain first. But which country could be next . Donald trump is there right now. Thats next. Also, should president obama have intervened in the
brexit debate . You will hear what donald trump thinks coming up. Our highest level of calcium plus d. [ boss ] it is a very smart plan. So were all on board . [ paul ] no. This is a stupid plan. Hate drama . Go to cars. Com. Research. Price. Find. Only cars. Com helps you get the right car without all the drama. Only cars. Com and ask your doctor how you can get farxiga for free. Is scotland next . There are words scotland may try again good evening, sir. Good evening. Sir, you wanted the u. K. To remain in the eu. Why do you think that some people vote to do leave . Will, it was a very lively debate. A lot of people participated. All the issues got raised. A huge turnout. 33 Million People voted in the end. The majority majority voted for leave. We just have to take that result and now move forward and implement it. How was this provoked . How did this remp dumb get put before the people . The last time we had a referendum on the european yiewrch was more than 40 years ago. Changed immeasurably since then. Now its the European Union and the level of participation has increased dramatically. Right moment to ask the british people where they were still happy to be part of this organization. How were the british people what advantage did they have being in the eu and what did you sees a disadvantage by being out of the eu . This was the subject matter of the debate that just happened. Free access for our goods and our services. Alongside that goes regulation, the principle of Free Movement of people as well as the Free Movement of goods and services. And some would say too much regulation. That was the sort of debate thats just taken place. Who replaced this Prime Minister cammeron . Well, the process is that the conservative party will now get some candidates who will first of all, be chosen, two of them will be chosen by the members of parliament and those two candidates will go forward to conservative party in the country, which will make a decision between the two of them. This process will take maybe, i dont know, 10 weeks or so. So the expectation is that there will be a new Prime Minister before the conservative party conference, which is at the beginning of october. Do you see any sort of parallel between the discontent among the voters in the u. K. Wanting to get out of the eu and the discontent among Many American voters because we have a very passionate
political season as im sure you have noticed in the United States, to put it lightly. I certainly noticed your political season. Look, i would have to say far too early for me to give you any kind of analysis of why people voted in the way they did in our referendum. The votes, the polls closed 10 00 u. K. Time last night. Just digesting the results. I have not seen any detail on why people voted the way they did. You could say that there appear to be popular movements against the establishment in both countries. And actually elsewhere in europe as well. Beyond that very general point, i would not like to give any indepth analysis at this stage. Thank you for joining us. Its a pleasure. British celebrities taking to twitter after the brexit voted. Comedian and late night host james cordon saying i cant get my head around whats happening. Im so sorry to the youth of britain. I fear have you been let down today. Harry potter author j. K. Rowling said i dont think i have ever wanted magic more. Hurlly wanted her brexit support. Birds still singing still glued to the tv though. President obama warned britain dont exit. And he was met with an unwelcomed response. And now donald trump reigniting that criticism. Youll hear from donald trump straight ahead. Using preparation h. For any sort of discomfort in yours. Preparation h. Get comfortable with it. Youve wished upon it all year, and now its finally here. The mercedesbenz summer event is back, with incredible offers on the mercedesbenz youve always longed for. But hurry, these shooting stars fly by fast. Lease the gle350 for 579 a month at your local mercedesbenz dealer. Mercedesbenz. The best or nothing. Britain is out and the
world unsure what consequences will good or bad will come from brexit. The european will have to figure out how to settle its divorce with and how to move forward. Kevin, i imagine brussels is a bit rattled tonight. Oh, absolutely. And the bottom line from brussels, greta, and really the main message from senior politicians here is out means out. They say they will give the u. K. No incentive to stay. In fact, the senior eu leaders, including the president of the European Commission and European Parliament are saying the u. K. Has to begin official exit negotiations asap. They dont like at all Prime MinisterDavid Camerons plan to wait a few months until a new pm is named and then have the next Prime Minister begin those official negotiations. The president of the European Parliament soltis
has said this continent cannot be held hostage for months while there is a domestic fight a political fight in the u. K. Greta, next week on monday and tuesday, there will be an eu summit. Leaders from all of the 28 eu countries will be there. Including Prime MinisterDavid Cameron. But, at that summit, a special sideline meeting has been called for. And an invite to that has not been extended to the Prime Minister. So, greta, consider that a sign that brussels is ready to do business without the u. K. Kevin, thank you. And earlier this year, president obama stepped into british politics and warned britain not to leave the eu. If one of our best friends is in an organization that enhances their influence and enhances their power and enhances their economy, then i want them to stay in it or at least i want to be able to
tell them, you know, i think this makes you guys bigger players. Not everyone in britain was happy with that speech. And now donald trump is saying the president should not have intervened. He didnt stop at the waters edge. He made statements about this incredible part of the world. And that this particular country and, frankly, a large group of countries should do i mean, is he constantly dictating to the world what they should do. The world doesnt listen to him, obviously you can see that by the vote. But is he constantly dictating to other countries. So, you know, it doesnt stop at the waters edge with him. You know, very importantly, got it totally wrong. Is he embarrassed. He is embarrassed by the Supreme Court decision yesterday which is a real rebuke and is he very embarrassed by he got involved. I dont know if that was through a friendship with David Cameron and it could have been and i understand friendship and i understand why he did it. I can understand that. But i think its something he shouldnt have done. Its not his country. Its not his part of the
world. He shouldnt have done it. I actually think that his recommendation perhaps caused it to fail. Cohost of fox Friends WeekendTucker Carlson goes on the record. Nice to see you. Hi, greta. He said is he partially responsible for. This probably gave him too much credit. I dont think the president s comments were helpful or pivotal either. Structural problems there and here is the difference. Most people believe in countries and most leaders dont. Th are globalists. They think no border. Cap lists of the world. Vested reasons for believing. This the average person kind of likes this country and culture and history and organizations at the eu undermine those things. Sort of the failure of the politicians. I mean, they dont have much credibility because things arent going well for a lot of people around the world. Not going well for many places in the United States and u. K. Sort of hard when they tell you no we should do this, its sort of hard at some
point to believe them. Think you are being bamboozled. Or they have their own reasons for saying that certainly globalization has helped a lot of people. Me included. I have been a beneficiary. How . Most people higher economy. Wage gains went to the top 1 . Im not complaining. Its helped everyone in my neighborhood. Its a fact. Whats annoying is when they deny it and pretend that free trade and immigration help everybody. The benefits are evenly distributed. Thats just not true. By lying about it you set peoples expectations really high and then they are crushed. If you think you are getting a pony for christmas and you get a bag of hair you are mat about it. All these things were sold to the population oh good you are going to get rich under nafta. Immigration is great for you. Thats not true. Its good for people at the high end of the income scale, period. Whats going to happen with britain . Whats sort of your expectation . Probably the british economy will contract a little bit. Good for the finance sector
and thats a massive part of the british economy in london that is the economy. The cost of business will rise for the banks for sure and some of them are already saying they are going to lay people off. Long term . Look, britain was independent from a thousand years from the norman invasion up until the 1970s. They did fine, they ran the world, actually. There is reason to believe they are capable of recovering from this. Overstating the doomsday scenario. They have an economy and to some degree we do too thats built in some Way International finance. Thats fine and that may suffer. Any impact for us . The eu is going away. There is absolutely no way. You dont think that Angela Merkel is going to try to hold this one again. Of course she is. Germany runs. Britain was the Court Balance to that britain, france, germany, netherlands, not that many huge economies in europe now germany is preeminent. So if im spain or portugal or france for that matter and looking at germany and saying really i want to be part of an organization that you dominate completely . No. The support for leaving in these other countries neither lands and france also is really high. Trumpism, which another word for nationalism is a global trend. Tell me how it evenings us here. Well, probably it will cause our economy to contract to some degree. Again, the finance sector. The one of the main points of globalization is that it allows capital to flow freely with less friction across borders. That is really good for finance. There is some trickle down effect. What do you mean by finance. I mean banking, basically. Not everybody is a banker. Of course they arent. People arent each that dependent on bankers for their maybe if they are trying to get loans. There is some trickle down effect. That is completely real. On the other hand, i dont know, there are other factors that people take into consideration when they think about what they want and one of them is sovereignty. They want to be part of a country. This is the massive divide between the leadership and the people in most of the world. We will wait to see what
happens with wales, scotland, and northern ireland. Anyway, tucker, always nice to see you. You are the best. Thank you, greta. Donald trump and secretary Hillary Clinton battling it out over brexit. You will hear what theyre both saying next. Sir, this alien life form is growing at an alarming rate. Growing fast, you say . We cant contain it any long. Trump tweeted this just arrived in scotland. Place is going wild over the vote. They will take their country back like we will take our country back. No games. Hours after the brexit vote donald trump was in the u. K. Talking about he personally would benefit. And senator sanders, believe it or not, tweeting a more measured response, im worried about Global Cooperation breaking down but its also a sign that many were being left out. The on the record Political Panel is here for the wall street journal jason riley and real clear
politics. Whats the impact of brexit on the 2016 election here . Well, i think we should start by saying donald trump was speaking from scotland which vote to do remain, just so we have a clarification. Although they are now saying tonight they want another vote. They want a doover apparently. I think there is a lesson here for america. More than half of the British Parliament vote to do remain. More than half of the British Public to leave. There is a disconnect there. The elites, political elites in britain spending too much time talking among themselves and not talking to the people they claim to represent. I think trump has tapped into that same sentiment here in the u. S. And that is why it is relevant to whats going on in 2016. This idea that the elites are out of touch, that there is disconnect between whats going on in washington and whats going on in the rest of the country. Caitlin . I agree. I think the parallels are striking. Especially what you just mentioned. And when you get down to the issues. Issues of immigration,
Foreign Policy decisions that effect immigration. This kind of globalization of the economy. Not many in the u. S. We have seen in polls and covering this campaign are resisting. I would say, however, that the electorates are very different, of course. The american electorate is much more diverse. The british electorate or the u. K. Electorate obviously much more white. So, these are ways that democrats hope to capitalize. I wouldnt be surprised if you saw, you know, more from we saw from sanders. Elizabeth warren is going to be campaigning with Hillary Clinton this week. Democrats would be wise to understand and take heed of the sentiment and raise questions about the candidate who is representing those sentiments. You know, jason, you say he is out of touch. Another way to say they are not listening to their voters. How you can be so dumb or so arrogant not to listen to the voters . Is it that they just think they know best why arent they listening to the voters . Im talking here domestically. You are talking domestically . Yes. It could be that they are tied up in agendas, that theyre only listening to certain voters. They are only interested in listening to the lobbyists and not campaigning at home and the town halls and so forth. They could be listening to the wrong people or not enough of the right people i should say. I should also add though that this is not going to be automatic smooth sailing for britain Going Forward here. There will be a transition phase and the number of your previous guests have noted this. Trade deals and so this huge european market. And we saw that reflects in the markets today not only with the dow going down but also the nikkei. The pound sterling trading mid level since the 1980s. Midterm ramifications but in the longterm in the biggest economy in the world it will be okay. The eu needed britain more than the britain needed eu. Interesting parallel is that Prime Minister cammeron, who is conservative, was the right wing of his party that was giving much like here in the United States who got the
right wing within the Republican Party biting at its heels. You have the paul ryans or John Boehners of the world trying to, you know, he suggested that this happen. Suggested the vote. And you have seen this disweckets disconnect between Party Leadership and the members of the party. We saw that throughout, of course, the course of this primary. So, trump is certainly going to capitalize on this. And i think clinton and democrats to the extent that they can are really going to focus on the economic implications. Clinton has been talking about kind of staying the course, maintaining some kind of stability. Well see if that resonates. Well sees a i always say its never dull. Certainly not tonight. And even if you dont own stocks, your wallet could take a hit. Every day americans will feel the impact. Fox Business NetworkGlobal Markets editor and hosts with mornings with maria maria barometer bartiromo goes on the record. What a shocker to the
market. It was a really sharp reaction and real negative reaction right out of the gate. It just opens up a whole can of worms of uncertainty, that was what was behind this major selloff. Meaning what . That tomorrow will be good. No, not necessarily. Dont know where its going to shake out. We may see a couple more days of mull pay hundred point moves lower because people are trying to figure out what this means for them and their portfolios. At the end of the day you want to invest around growth and at the end of the day this is going to come up with buying opportunity. Monday, tuesday, i dont know when. At some point this is going to be a great buying opportunity. I think for a lot of people stocks are a luxury. They dont have the money for it but a lot of people do have mortgages. Is this going to have any sort of longterm impact on every day american mortgages on any way. Not longterm but there is a impact to mortgages 401 k plan to Financial Services in general. The truth is there is a Regulatory Framework that is the eu. The eu has certain rules for
the banks and for all Financial Services companies and now with britain exiting the eu, they are not going to be under that umbrella of Financial Regulation. They have to come up with their own Regulatory Framework. That may change who your mortgage issuer is that may change the way that bank approaches what you have in place right now. So you could see some tweaks and some changes in terms of your own personal portfolio and your mortgage. Im not worried about that either though, frankly. Because the u. K. Will figure it out. They will likely come up with rules that are equal to the rules that we see in the eu. Well, if everything will ultimately work out, it is sort of freakish the way everyone goes in full scale panic and the markets get so volatile. Everyone went completely nuts. I even looked up and thought, wow, you know, should i be looking at my Retirement Fund . Its freakish and the markets are so volatile. The uncertainty. Investors dont like uncertainty. Why . They know it will work out but dont know how. Consider the free trade going on throughout the eu. Now the u. K. Is going to have to do new trade deals. We dont know what they will look like. Maybe increase tariffs on certain products. Maybe things will become more expensive for certain markets. Until we get real clarity on that that trade looks like and Financial Regulation looks like people say okay im selling now and think later. Okay. U. K. Is far away from my hometown of appleton, wisconsin. Far away. Why do they care what the trade deals are between whether the u. K. Is part of some trade deal or not in the eu . This is one the largest trading partners of the u. S. We need to make sure that we have that trade. Youre talking about 575 billion annual trade between. Like how though . Give me an example. Okay. So the u. K. Is a big producer of pharmaceuticals. The u. K. Is a big producer of arms. Armament. There is obviously a big producer of Financial Services. All of that is unknown right now in terms of what the new
deals look like. You know the unknown just scarce scares people. Thank you very much. Great to see you, greta. Coming up, floods drowning parts of the nation. Growing more dangerous. A house caught on video floating down a creek. Rick reichmuth is tracking it all. Rick . Greta, a really rough 24 hours yesterday. Most of the rain happening thursday. And you can see just this line of storms one after the next cutting right through especially central areas of West Virginia and then this southwestern area. Southeastern area is where we saw the bulk of it. Rainfall totals there probably somewhere between 8 and 10 inches total. If that were to verify, what we are seeing from the radar estimates here around
9 inches up to 10 inches, this would be a 1 in 1,000 year event hang here. Its a very hilly mountainous range. That water very quickly rises because it funnels down in throughout the low lying areas and in throughout the ravines and such and floods quickly.
