I really think what we started with is russia interference in the election and that is still sean that is what they called it, right . Supposed to be at least well, no. They said the collusion was one thread of an investigation into russias involvement in the election. Im pretty convinced that mueller is not pursuing a Collusion Case now sean its obstruction case. Against President Trump. I think it is an obstruction case. As far as manafort goes, i dont think that mueller thinks manafort has anything with respect to Trump Campaign collusion with russia that mueller couldnt already get from gates who is manaforts partner who has been cooperating for six months. I think his interest in
manafort has to do with exactly manaforts connections to russia. Not necessarily the Trump Campaign. Until i see something different, that is what i have concluded. Sean you know the Southern District of new york. It has the reputation of probably being in terms of the federal prosecution the toughest one in the country. You worked there 20 years. Over two decades of your life. Rudy giuliani worked there, interestingly. Very smart, aggressive, tough attorneys that work there. He hired me. Sean rudy hired you . I didnt know. The heart of what they are saying is. Yes. Sean so i have all the examples where Michael Cohen said the president didnt know he did it on his own. And that he didnt do it with any expecting payback. Cohen today said at the direction of the president. Why do i think this is the special sauce that the prosecution wanted . This was served up for them by
cohen to get the deal he got . Otherwise he was facing 65 years. This is a straightup guilty plea. Not negotiation. And i dont think they regard him as a witness. He has made statements all over the map. They said that when they gave allocution at the guilty plea but you if they regarded him as valuable witness or cooperator youd see a different plea agreement. Sean i agree with that, too. David, you have seen a lot of the cases over the years and we talked about at length. Look, we have, there are russians issues here. Hillary paid for a phony russian dossier with funneled money through a law firm to an op Research Group that hired a foreign national, which i thought was bad for the elections. The answer what i is purely a political one. I think the American People are entitled to hold the United States attorney to his word when he said the message from the cohen case, the rule of law should be applied equally and evenly across the board. We havent seen it yet. Mr. Mccarthy is right, the mandate started out with the case of russian interference. The case today manafort illustrates how wrong they went in the breadth of the
mandate given that judge ellis examined and found it was within that breadth. But it has so much to do with the president certainly. But the charges nothing to do with russia. And, of course, the original question, how did it get in the Southern District . We know for a example an a member of the mueller team comes out of the unit that prosecuted mr. Cohen, mr. Goldstein. Lets hold the Southern District from the word and get past something to the president and get on with the business you reported day after day. Misconduct before the fisa court is outrageous. The American People cannot withstand that treachery before that kind of secret court in an ex parte proceeding. We have to have the answers. Full disclosure. Doesnt it happen every day that people that commit fraud on their taxes and people that commit Campaign Finance violations, obama 2 million

There is also the possibility that manafort would be pardoned by the president who declared again that the Mueller Probe is a witch hunt. He was frustrated with that but he said nothing about the cohen case to leave it to his attorney Rudy Giuliani to provide a written Statement Today saying, there is no allegation of any wrongdoing against the president in the government charge against mr. Cohen. Its clear as the prosecutor noted mr. Cohens actions

Cohen will get prison time 43 to 63 months in charges of bank fraud, tax evasion and Campaign Finance charges that involve payments to two women who alleged affairs with the president he denied. Plea bargain between a prosecutor and criminal. A criminal who doesnt want to spend the rest of his life in prison. That is not precedent. That applies only to that specific case. Nobody cites Plea Bargains for precedent. That is number one. Number two, just because a Prosecutor Says that somebody violated a campaign law doesnt make it so. He is not the judge. A Campaign Expenditure under our federal Campaign Laws is an Expenditure Sewly for campaign sew loy for campaign activity. A candidate who spends his own
money or even corporate money for an event that occurred not as a result of the campaign, its not a Campaign Expenditure. Let me give a few examples to help people understand that, especially the American People. I wrote these down. Say a candidate had said we owe vendors a lot of money. We have had disputes with them. But i want you to go ahead and pay them. Im a candidate, i dont want the negative publicity. So he says to the private lawyer, you pay them, ill reimburse you, get it done. Is that illegal . Its perfectly legal. But according to the prosecution of the Southern District of new york its paid at the direction of the candidate to influence the election. Yes, mr. Prosecutor, how stupid is your point . Its not a crime. More, lets say that the candidate settles a lawsuit that was initiated before he becomes a candidate. And he says to his personal lawyer, i want you to pay, settle that lawsuit. You can use my corporate funds, my private funds, whatever it is. That is perfectly legal, too. The prosecutor would say but that influenced the election. So what . There are certain things you do that influence an election that are legal and certain things you do to influence an election that are illegal. Say a candidate gets a nondisclosure from the disgruntled employee and wants to quiet the employee. And pays the funds through the corporation. Perfectly legal. Nothing was paid from the campaign or done with the campaign or to the campaign. This is exactly what the federal law is. And mr. Lanny davis had his client plead guilty to two offenses that are not offenses that the prosecutor insisted were offenses. That is why he is no good. That is Michael Cohen against donald trump. Donald trump is in the clear. Lets say donald trump even directed Michael Cohen to make payments in nondisclosure
agreements. So what . He is allowed to do that. Has the Southern District of new york ever paid money in a nondisclosure agreement with any of the employees . How about any u. S. Attorney office in the United States . How about the depart of justice . How department of justice or any business or union . How about the d. N. C. Or member of congress . Its done all the time. Call it hush money. All of this hush money, oh, they cant pay hush money. Well, it is hush money. Its legal. Its a contract. Its done all the time. Now, what does mr. Mueller has left . He is chasing the Manhattan Madam. Who is the Manhattan Madam . I dont know. He is dragging her in front of the grand jury. prosecutor is preparing his impeachment report. Which is an unconstitutional activity. Mr. Mueller is supposed to be nonpolitical. He is not supposed to prepare impeachment report. You and Rod Rosenstein figured it out and now you are trying to figure out what to do with the subpoena.
