This change, louisiana change, would violate rule on timing. Any violation of our rules could result in penalty that would include a state losing at least half of delegates. Theyve had the calendar out and you can see Bernie Sanders from the clip didnt sound too happy about that and sounds like they will take it up with the dnc. So, you know, all of this is evolving and changing and so its possible theyll revisit that. Jon the state is saying that many of the poll workers are elderly and they are susceptible to the virus and why not take steps to keep them safe and perhaps preserve lives . Right, youre exactly right. The states are looking at this and saying they need to delay, they need to do what in the best interest of their citizens and what would be best for election day. I think more states will come up and have issues as well and so theyll probably be a conversation about that. Jon we know that georgia now has now decide today postpone primary. Lets take a look at the four coming up on the 17th, arizona with 67 delegates at stake, four of the big prize with 219. Illinois 155 and ohio 136. Is there anything in this collection of states that you can see that perhaps changes the dynamic here of joe biden running away with this nomination . Well, no. Hes expected to do very well in all of those four states and so there are a lot of people saying this could sort of solidify things. If he does well, there are people, of course, looking at this debate that you mentioned coming up and saying, hey, this is the time that joe biden has to really step up and do well otherwise Bernie Sanders is going to stay, look, hes still not the guy for this party and so i think that, you know, people will be looking at that before the four states on tuesday. Jon right now if you look at delegate, joe biden has 868. Bernie sanders well behind him with 700. Thats 168 votes delegate count difference but thats almost insurmountable the way the Democratic Party is structured, right, anita . Youre right and thats why youre saying joe biden is likely nominee and the state that is you mentioned, florida with the highdelegate counts, people are really saying, if he racks up those, this will probably be it. So, you know, theres still a couple of days and, of course, we would have to see the turnout on tuesday as well. A lot of people are concerned about going out if they havent already voted early. Jon also we have to see not only on democrats primary process but the election overall on this coronavirus situation. We know that the president has been tested after he was asked by reporters at the white house about coronavirus testing. Theres the familys first Coronavirus Response act which has passed the house. It contains a number of elements to try to make things easier for those who are diagnosed access to free testing, 2 weeks sick paid leave, better Unemployment Insurance, food Safety Initiatives and more medicaid funding to states. Again, it has to pass the senate, but is that likely to to stem the criticism that has been directed at the white house over federal response here .
