>> it wouldn't be friday night without controversy. the president and his doctors say he is ready for the debate but the debate is not happening. is going to go back on the campaign trail, tomorrow at the white house and back to the maga rallies monday in florida. >> i am free, i feel perfect, i'm not taking anything. i'm off any regimen they gave me. >> reporter: he called rush limbaugh's radiation selling millions of listeners this was his return to the political battlefield. >> this is a maga rally. >> you are a fantastic man, keeps us all in the game. >> donald trump all the white house event saturday giving remarks to a group of, quote, peaceful protesters for law and order. monday's rally will be at an airport in orlando were all attendees will be given a temperature check and masks. joe biden has his own thoughts about saturday's event. >> i wouldn't show up unless you have a mask. >> reporter: biden will an event in pennsylvania. both men will have their own tv event thursday rather than the debate that was played in miami. >> i have done well with debates. i won every single pole. i won the polls on this one with him but i had to be rude because he was lying. >> nancy pelosi proposed legislation creating a commission on presidential competency to adjudicate issues related to the 20 fifth amendment. >> this is not about donald trump. people face the judgment of the voters but he shows the need for us to create a process for future precedent. >> it appears nearly impossible for her proposal to become law under a trump administration but there is a slightly more optimism about an economics to package today, the white house raise their offered to $1.8 trillion, still less than the democrats ask, 1 million of $2 trillion. shannon: you are right so thank you so much. the c-span host to was supposed to moderate the second presidential debate which is not happening next week says his twitter account was hacked. the trump campaign and a lot of other folks expressing skepticism today. richardson has been doing into the tweet controversy but raised more questions about impartiality. >> reporter: and now congress is digging into this tweet. the top republican on the house oversight committee, congressman james comeer has rented twitter that, quote, it is critical twitter set the record straight to help the public better understand whether twitter was yet again hacked or if steve scully did send a message, please provide an emergency briefing to the republican committee staff no later than monday, october 12th, 2020, last late c-span sees the twitter account, asked a major trump critic for some advice. in a message to white house communications director and curzon presidential antagonist anthony scaramucci, should i respond to trump? scully was scheduled to moderate the now canceled second presidential debate. the commission in presidential debate says steve scully notified of his twitter account was hacked, cpd reported the hack to the fbi and twitter and we understand federal authorities and twitter are looking into the issue, twitter declined to comment, us officials of war and foreign governments with sophisticated hacking operations are trying to interfere in this year's election. this is the third time scully has claimed his twitter account was hacked, there was a tweet from may of 2012 were scully says his account was hacked and another the following march. the president and his allies are using this to paint the debates as unfair. others say scully is impartial. former white house press secretary sean spicer says he spoken to scully and says the c-span host is only interacted with anthony scaramucci during interviews in 2018 and 2019, quote, you did not send the tweet. steve is a good man and will make an excellent debate moderator. the president disagreed tonight in a tweet saying never trumper next debate moderator got called out, the old i've been asked debate by. 's bosses are furious with him if he's lost all credibility. after going off-line scully's twitter is back up. he tweeted well wishes to the final presidential debate moderator and added debates are a vital part of america's democracy. shannon: thank you. the former gop senator bob dole speaking out against the republicans on the debate commission. in a tweet he writes the commission on presidential debates is supposedly bipartisan with equal number of ours and thes. i know all the republicans and most are friends of mine. i'm concerned none of them support donald trump. a biased debate commission is unfair. the president's team says he's healthy and ready to go and there's no medical basis for next week's planned debate to be canceled as it has been. doctor mark siegel conducting the first on camera interview since his covid-19 diagnosis. he saw some of it earlier on tucker carlson. here's more that exclusive. >> the first question is the chief complaint which briefly how are you feeling now >> i feel really good, very strong. i know a lot of people that had the china virus as i call it because it came from china but i feel really strong and a lot of people don't feel that way sometimes for a while afterwards but very good. >> what about symptoms that you had? last friday when you went into walter reed what were the most prominent symptoms that you had? >> didn't feel strong, didn't feel strong, didn't have a problem with breathing which a lot of people seem to have. i had none of that but i didn't feel very strong, didn't feel very vital, didn't feel like the president of the us should feel. i knew there was something a little bit off and the doctors at walter reed were incredible, they came from johns hopkins and everywhere. it's good to be president i guess but they were really great people but i would say more weakness than anything else. >> have you been retested? >> i have been retested and i haven't found out numbers or anything yet but i've been retested and i know i'm at the bottom of the scale are free. >> do you know what the cat scan shows? >> pretty good. ultimately it was good. i think they were a little concerned at the beginning but ultimately it was good. it cleaned out largely cleaned out when i left, it was in good shape. >> i myself have noted you have millions of well-wishers out there. i thought everybody was going to wish you will. how do you feel that not everybody did, some of the nastiness came out, how does it make you feel as a patient? >> we are getting very good poll numbers in the real polls and they think we are going to win and they are not happy about it. we have the interests of the country at heart and if it weren't for this administration we wouldn't have these medicines. we have tremendous medicines coming out, tremendous vaccines coming out. the vaccines are going to be very soon, politically it would be sooner than election day but politically a lot of people would prefer that we wait a little longer but lives are at stake. i don't want to do that but we have tremendous vaccines from johnson & johnson, modern, pfizer and these are therapeutics i guess you call them, when you think of what i was just discussing with you but i consider it your because i got better so i don't know how that is a therapeutic as opposed to a cure but i got better and i got better very rapidly. to me i consider or important right now than the vaccine because you go to the hospital where you have people that are sick and you give them a transfusion and i really envision them being able to leave over the next day or 2 or 3 or something depending on the amount of problem they have. >> governors are debating immunity cards. what you think of that? should people produce antibodies, sounds very futuristic in a strange way. how do you feel about immunity cards? >> i don't know much about it but what is going to happen is as you get this when you get better they say you don't catch it. i don't know for what period. i've heard a lifetime i've heard four months, i've heard a year. i'm not sure they know yet. but as you get better you supposedly just don't catch it anymore, you are immune. i don't know about a card. i've not heard the concept of a card but you know, sounds like maybe i've heard of worse ideas but bottom line is you get better from this they say you are immune. only thing i don't think they know yet, you could ask maybe i will ask you, i don't know about the length of time that your immune. is it a lifetime or less? >> we don't know yet but it looks from early signs at least several months and that would put you in this category. >> doctor siegel joins us with his conversation with the president. was can you tell us of anything we know or when we could learn more about some kind of immunity, we are learning so much so quickly about this virus. >> studies out of the university of washington show that it is three months you have those antibodies and over the next several months they diminish but you have your t cell antibodies which is why i said several months at least. that is the whole array of antibodies. we are looking at neutralizing antibodies, clearly for several months. then we talk about the immunity card issue and that is controversial because of you have antibodies they say you can go back to work but isn't that an invasion of patient privacy and very futuristic? i was thinking of blade runner where they look at your written the. we have to consider how much government supervision there is. shannon: a lot of people have willingly given up a lot of freedom in the name of trying to be helpful and getting this under control, listening to the government. that may be something that is pushed too far. >> really good point. everybody agrees with the need for social distancing, masking, disinfecting. i was glad to hear even the rallies that are restarting will be giving out masks. that is important but it is different to go from there to identifying who have antibodies and separating people out, not the same thing. shannon: not sure folks in the usa will go for that. great interview, thanks for giving us more insight. >> he seemed very well to me and recovering and gave us a lot of information about the disease and he said he was afraid at some point, he was actually afraid, looked very coherent and recovery. shannon: folks to get the diagnosis are afraid but all of us as americans should be happy he's doing much better. thanks. with full clearance expected tomorrow from the white house benefiting the president is scheduled to deliver an address on law and order, socially distant on the self one of the white house. also looking forward to starting of trademark campaign rallies again, pushing for the debate and debate person but that is canceled. let's discuss the latest with jenna ellis, welcome back. >> great to join you. of course the president is anxious to get back out there, these rallies feed him as much as energize his campaign but michael quinn with the biden campaign says donald trump seems to be living in an alternate reality where he isn't sick and contagious, this decision is stunningly reckless. and irresponsible and only the latest evidence that trump has waved the white flag of defeat against the virus even if it kills thousands of americans each week and that is our economy, this is something that shouldn't be happening tomorrow. >> democrats didn't have double standards they wouldn't have any standards at all, this is the party they keep saying follow the signs, talk to your doctors, follow their advice, that is what donald trump is in every step of the way and if you know the president like i do you know he wanted to get back out as soon as possible, he didn't want to go to the hospital but he did so at his doctor's recommendation. he has been following the recommendations, following his doctor's every step of the way, the biden campaign to second-guess medical doctors for their own political purposes. >> what about the debate commission. they announced yesterday for the health and safety of everyone involved but couldn't do this thing in person, it would be virtually, the candidates made other plans so there won't be a debate but they said there wasn't a way to do it safely, staffing and the people they would need to feel comfortable. shannon: the commission acted unilaterally every step of the way, to first move this online as a virtual event without talking to either campaign and unilaterally cancel it just shows what we put out that there is no reason two campaigns can't get together and decide to hold a debate ourselves, we don't need the commissions so if joe biden is ready, willing and able donald trump asks for, the american people deserve 3 debates. we can do this in a safe and healthy way. shannon: we know there is ongoing conversation whether a third may be added on the back end. let's talk about the 20 fifth amendment, something obviously gives the vice president and majority of the cabinet the ability to vote together and transfer power to love vp if they think the president - nancy pelosi brought up this legislation that would allow congress to get involved in that. newt gingrich warning her policy is talking about 20 fifth amendment replacing incapacitated president, his warning to biden, with harris next spring, she could have a san francisco radical president as governor newsom targeting biden, not trump. he says listen, mister vice president, she is actually thinking about you. what do you make of this? >> very curious, nancy pelosi three weeks before the election focusing on this instead of a stimulus package that should give the american people outside the beltway, her priorities are off. the 20 fifth amendment, notice the sleight-of-hand, they are talking about fitness. that's not what the 20 fifth amendment says. it uses two terms to describe the president if he is unable or the inability of the president to discharge his powers and duties so they are trying to manipulate this into just their own subjective call with an unelected bureaucratic inside about way commission at the pleasure of the democrats in the house and god for bid if they take control of the senate in november. this is why it is so important we actually understand the purpose and intent of the constitution and not allow the democrats to manipulate this and change the rules when it doesn't serve their purposes. they couldn't use the impeachment clause to manipulate it to their advantage and now they are trying to use the 20 fifth amendment. what will be there next step? this is why the original intent of the constitution matters and so important to elect donald trump for the next week for years to continue to put originalists on the bench because the judicial branch needs to be the check and balance on the usurpation of the sites of powers. >> we will talk a lot about the judicial branch and supreme court confirmation hearings about to take off later in the show. thanks. secretary of state mike pompeo is working as fast as he can to release emails from hillary clinton regarding a private server, donald trump has been critical over mike pompeo is what he sees as a delay. >> classified information on a private server never should have been there, hillary clinton should never have done that. it was not acceptable behavior and there will be more to see before the election. >> the president criticized william barr for announcing their won't be prosecutions related to the ongoing investigation into the origins of the 2016 probe, trump had ties to russia, those won't be coming before election day if at all. we have to wait and see. just days from the start of supreme court nominee judge amaud arbery's confirmation hearing democrats say they can't be held safely and faith groups come out against her. a colleague of hers joins us live next. ♪ i knew that i would, now ♪ i feel good ♪ get a dozen double crunch shrimp for one dollar with any steak entrée. only at applebee's. ibut nothing makes me feel like pnew always discreet boutique. outside, it's soft like underwear. inside, it turns liquid to gel. for incredible protection, that feels like nothing but my underwear. new always discreet boutique. we were paying an arm and a leg for postage. i remember setting up shipstation. one or two clicks and everything was up and running. i was printing out labels and saving money. shipstation saves us so much time. it makes it really easy and seamless. pick an order, print everything you need, slap the label onto the box, and it's ready to go. our costs for shipping were cut in half. just like that. shipstation. the #1 choice of online sellers. go to shipstation.com/tv and get 2 months free. .. if you have risk factors like heart disease, diabetes and raised triglycerides,... ...vascepa can give you something to celebrate. ♪ vascepa, when added to your statin,... ...is clinically proven to provide 25% lower risk from heart attack and stroke. vascepa is clearly different. first and only fda approved. celebrate less risk. even for those with family history. ♪ don't take vascepa if you are... ...or become allergic to icosapent ethyl or any inactive ingredient in vascepa. serious side effects may occur like heart rhythm problems and bleeding. heart rhythm problems may occur in more people... ...with persistent cardiovascular risk or who have had them in the past. tell your doctor if you experience an irregular heartbeat or other heart rhythm problems. possible side effects include muscle and joint pain. celebrate less risk. added cardio protection. talk to your doctor about adding protection with vascepa. >> shannon: democratic senate minority leader chuck schumer demanding lizzie graham take a shannon: chuck schumer demanding judiciary chairman of the gravedigger covid-19 test before any confirmation hearing, chairman claimed present a doctors note meeting -- as needed test. democrats are looking to change the hearing. let's get some information on judge barrett. it will be a busy week for you. what it means to be human. we don't decide on timing for these things. welcome back. the senators say this. democrats on the committee sent this letter to graham saying we understand you plan to proceed with these hearings on october 12th despite the serious risk they present, no possible public health or scientific rationale justifies proceeding with the senate judiciary hearings next week, we should not proceed in such a reckless and blind fashion. >> sounds pretty desperate to me. so that they are grasping at straws when confronted with a nominee who is a brilliant jurist of impeccable integrity. the senators enormous latitude to structure these hearings in a way that will safeguard the health and safety of everyone. mitch mcconnell was talking about how he takes strenuously of health and safety in contrast to the white house so there's no way they have to be delayed. that's grasping at straws. shannon: you know she has been regularly questioned about her religious faith and commitment as a catholic, practicing catholic. i thought it was interesting, got something from the interfaith alliance, they say this is the first time a group has ever officially opposed the federal bench nominee, her judicial philosophy endangers decades of progress toward the abiding promise that every american is equal under the law. they don't like her record on religious freedom. what is your reaction?
