As you reported earlier that he was out to rescue some other soldiers and thats when the roadside bomb got him as well on his very First Mission. First time out. But he was a brave boy. We used to always fight and wrestle and he never had much fear for that kind of stuff. He had a good heart and he loved to be there for somebody i know you and your son michael exchanged letters throughout his career. Yes. There was a letter to your exwife in his pocket that she cherishes to this day. Yes. Steve tell us about that. Well, he was carrying that letter in his pocket. And no one knew aboutt til after the fact. After he died. Of course it had his blood on it and everything from the explosion. And was given back to his mother.
