>> well, i can tell you, brian, iran is one of the oldest organized terrorists groups in the history of modern warfare. there's no question that they are essentially the extreme islamic military on behalf of the iranian rescream. they have been since the bombing, the marine barracks that killed over 222 service men. i think the threat is credible, i think it's as real of an organization as it comes. i know some of our agencies arrested back in june sleepers both in michigan and new york as well. this is a very real terror group, brian. every threat and colonel needs to be turned over on this group. they've got thousands of rockets, they have thousands of militants who are, you know, willing to strap on bombs and kill u.s. soldiers at the doorstep of the bases. this is the real deal with hezbollah. brian: thank you so much reacting to the breaking news and confirming there is some movement in this area. special thanks to venezuela for bringing it into our hemisphere. plus, after five days, hillary clinton speaking about harvey weinstein. what did she just say about the cash that he gave her. and she loves singing the national anthem and her husband plays in the nfl. jessie james decker joins us. next my experience with usaa has been excellent. they always refer to me as master sergeant. they really appreciate the military family, and it really shows. we've got auto insurance, homeowners insurance. had an accident with a vehicle, i actually called usaa before we called the police. usaa was there hands-on very quick very prompt. i feel like we're being handled as people that actually have a genuine need. we're the webber family and we are usaa members for life. usaa, get your insurance quote today. brian: got a fox news alert now. the massive wildfires in northern california we've been covering the last few days expected to get worse today. steve: look at this. the incredible video showing somebody drive through the fire surrounded by flames and trying to get to safety. oh, my goodness. ainsley: that would be so scary. will carr is live in santa rosa where the entire neighborhood has been destroyed. >> and this neighborhood looks like a bomb went off. everything gone here. you can see half of this garage door is crumbled and charred. and as we walk along, we've seen so many cars that were charred and burned in this inferno. it was so hot, actually, that the bumpers of the cars melted off and are now scrap metal. as you look up on this light pole, i want to show you that's the other part of the garage door, which is now dangling down. at least 23 people have been killed in these fires. hundreds more are still missing. so that number could go up throughout the rest of the day. there's going to be a red flag warning. that's not good for the firefighters on the ground. some of whom have actually lost their own homes while they're trying to protect these communities and for people who are not in the direct fire line, the air quality is terrible. many people throughout this area actually wearing masks like this, if they can find them. many places have sold out. guys. steve: all right. will carr live in santa rosa in las vegas. steve: there must have been an explosion for the light pole. ainsley: she's married to tennessee titans eric decker, and she has performed the star-spangled banner many, many times. ♪ ♪ home of the free and home of the brave. steve: and recording star jessie james decker who has a new album out tomorrow joins us live. good morning to you. >> good morning. steve: you're the perfect person to ask about this because your husband is a wide receiver for the titans, and we're talking about whether or not players should stand for the anthem, which you sing, what's your point of view on this? >> you know, everything i wrote in that instagram post is -- steve: tell us about the instagram post. >> exactly how i feel. i wrote in the instagram post that i really love singing the national anthem. i'm the daughter of a military family. my dad is a general in the air force. family members in the military. my grandpa had a spot in the vietnam war, my uncle fought in world war ii. just, for me, what the anthem means to me may be different than what it means for others. so, for me, i like to stand. that's just what it means to me. brian: do you fundamentally think you have a military background, but it should mean the same thing for everyone if you're an american; right? >> well, i never knew that it meant anything else. so, for me, i just figured the anthem is what it means. so i think, for me, i didn't understand that it meant something else to others. which there's nothing wrong with them feeling that way. but, for me, the anthem is how i've always been raised to feel about it. steve: and when you sing that song, you think of story that you shared with us about your grandfather. share that with the folks at home. >> so i -- my grandfather who has now passed, he fought in the vietnam war, and there were a lot of people asking me how could your father fight in the vietnam war. you're 29. this doesn't make any sense. well, my grandmother was a cougar and married someone else. so, yes, he did fight in the vietnam war. i was, like, let me correct this. my grandmother was a cougar. i feel like she was 17 years old. but anyway, he is one of the most special people to me in my life and always was. and he would come visit us all the time when my parents would go on couples trips. but anyway, he was so passionate about being in the military, especially the national anthem. he would make me go to the other room, and he would ask me to turn around, and he would ask me to sing the national anthem every time he saw me, and i would sing the whole song, and he would just weep. he would cry like just babbling crying. and as soon as he was done, he would wipe his tears and pat my back and said good job, baby. that's it. he just wanted those emotions. brian: your husband eric and jessie, brand-new season. here's a clip. >> we've been anticipating for days upon days wondering where we're going to go. we know the teams that are interested. >> i just feel, you know, kind of weighing all decisions and factors that will go into it for us like -- i think tennessee, we go with them. just i feel the most comfortable, and i think it's the right decision. brian: so, no, longer a jet. he joins the titans. brand-new season. how has it been? >> it's been really good. the positive about it all is we live in nashville. that's our home base, so it was kind of crazy to get the call that we were able to stay home. i will admit that we really dialogue enjoy our time with the jets. we have really good, fond memories. we were treated so unbelievably well. like, just such a warm welcoming community, so we'll always have really warm, fuzzy feelings about that. ainsley: well, y'all took a break. this is season three. when can we see it? >> so it's on every wednesday night at 10:00, 9:00 central. i believe we just aired our fifth episode last night. so we've got a few more to go. but, you know, it's fun. steve: all right. speaking of fun, it's fun promoting new albums. you've got one that comes up tomorrow. it's called southern girl city lights. is this biographical? >> i guess you could say. i am a southern girl, but i get to travel all over the world and go to major cities. but there's some things that's just -- i don't know. brian: what's your favorite song in the album? >> there's a song on the album called hungry that i really love, and it's just about remembering your humble roots and never forgetting that. ainsley: it has nothing to do with being pregnant; right? because we get hungriment. >> i am hungry. i went to an amazing restaurant in new york, and they had this big chocolate cake, and it was so good, i took a majority of it home with me. i was, like, i'm going to be eating this chocolate cake. ainsley: you have to follow her on social media. because tells her daughter she's going to be a big sister, and it is so sweet. steve: congratulations. ainsley: congratulations. steve: for the album and the tv show. >> thank you, all, appreciate it. brian: 29 minutes before the top of the hour, this is the story. the vacation is over. why former president obama is heading back to the campaign trail. going to virginia. steve: plus, president trump vowing to help small business owners in his new tax plan. sbh, small business administrator linda mcmahon is here to explain how it all works coming up live from new york city worrying about your big... about the client dinner. you gonna wear? >> well, it's not immediately clear. but since president trump announced last month, a new strategy for south asia and pakistan, one of the key components is new pressure on the pakistan government to deny the taliban and network a safe haven in pakistan, and it's worth noting, steve, there are two other american hostages believed to be captive by the network. brian: so we're not sure who did the rescue. would you say it's clear that the americans didn't do the rescue? or is that still up in the air? >> well, brian, i'm told that u.s. special operations forces did not play a role, certainly the u.s. intelligence agencies did. they did provide a tip about the location about where the family was located, and then the pakistan military rolled it. all right. jillian has more headlines for us this morning. to you at home as well. let's begin with a fox news alert. brand-new audio surfacing this morning of a mandalay bay employee warning hotel staff someone was shooting. >> call the police. someone is firing a gun up here. someone is firing a rifle on the 32nd floor down the hallway. >> meanwhile, steven paddock's brain showed nothing normal. but he may have been on antianxiety medication known to cause aggressive behavior. now to the harvey weinstein scandal. harvey boarded a private jet overnight heading to a sex rehab in arizona. he was originally supposed to head out of the country, but the plan changed. this coming just ahours after tmz also reported weinstein's daughter called 9-1-1 claiming her dad was quote suicidal and depressed. as for hillary clinton, it's been six days, and she has finally said what she will give hillary clinton's campaign donation to. >> would you give the money back? >> well, there's no one to give the money back to. my colleagues said i will donate it to charity. and of course i will do that. i give 10% of my income to charity every year. this will be part of that. there's no doubt about it. >> weinstein and his family have given more than 1.4 million in political contributions to the democratic party. for the first time since leaving the white house, former president barack obama is going back on the campaign trail. obama will stump for lieutenant governor, the democratic hopeful in virginia's governor's race. he said to appear at a rally in richmond next week. president trump has endorsed his rival republican. and our very own janice dean stepping up in a big way to help texas in the wake of hurricane harvey. get this. she is donating all proceeds from her latest book freddie the frog caster to a group of military vets providing relief. her dedication isn't going unnoticed in washington. >> last week, janice of fox news in a district i represent told a story about how team is helping with debris removal in texas. >> janice joins the team in relief efforts last week in texas. and, janice, as i texted you the other day. >> a news story. that's unbelievable. fox news alert. that has never happened before. brian: you've been working this janice dean story for how long? >> forever. i've been trying to get an exclusive, and she wouldn't let it happen. >> i will now. ainsley: you made the house floor, and they honored you. it's wonderful. >> a wonderful group of people that integrate our veterans after service. they get out and help in disaster areas, and it was my privilege to cover them. i mean, my heart was just lighter that day seeing. steve: well, you're so selfless in donating all of your proceeds. so not only are you a news story, but you are couple of months ago when you retired from the dog story. >> i mean, this year on fox and friends has been really -- i don't know how i'm going to outtop this year. ainsley: if people want to buy your book since you're donating all of the proceeds, where can they buy it? >> they can buy it wherever books are sold. and thank you, congressman as well. what an honor it is on the house floor. brian: how did you find out? >> he told me. >> yeah, he did. and he's a big fan of fox and friends. so wave good morning. thank you for honoring. brian: why did he say that on c-span, not on fox news? it's unbelievable. >> thanks, guys. steve: coming up, president trump vowing to help small business owners with his new tax plan. >> we're going to protect small business owners and their families so they can continue to run their companies with dedication and with love. steve: the small business administrator for the united states linda mcmahon here with what it means for you and your y patrick woke up with back pain. but he has work to do. so he took aleve. if he'd taken tylenol, he'd be stopping for more pills right now. only aleve has the strength to stop tough pain for up to 12 hours with just one pill. aleve. all day strong. there's nothing more important than your health. so if you're on medicare or will be soon, you may want more than parts a and b here's why. medicare only covers about 80% of your part b medical expenses. the rest is up to you. you might want to consider an aarp medicare supplement insurance plan, insured by unitedhealthcare insurance company. like any medicare supplement insurance plan, these help pick up some of what medicare doesn't pay. and, these plans let you choose any doctor or hospital that accepts medicare patients. you could stay with the doctor or specialist you trust... or go with someone new. you're not stuck in a network... because there aren't any. so don't wait. call now to request your free decision guide and find the aarp medicare supplement plan that works for you. there's a range to choose from, depending on your needs and your budget. rates are competitive. and they're the only plans of their kind endorsed by aarp. like any of these types of plans, they let you apply whenever you want. there's no enrollment window... no wso call now.ply. remember, medicare supplement plans help cover some of what medicare doesn't pay. you'll be able to choose any doctor or hospital that accepts medicare patients. whether you're on medicare now or turning 65 soon, it's a good time to get your ducks in a row. duck: quack! call to request your free decision guide now. because the time to think about tomorrow is today. steve: president trump vowing to make the american dream possible once again. trump: we're going to protect small business owners and their families so they can continue to run their companies with dedication and with love. and we will make taxes simple and easy and fair for all americans. ainsley: so how will his tax plan help small businesses? we're going to ask small business administrator linda mcmahon. good morning to you, linda. >> good morning. ainsley: so you're out there. you talk to the small businesses and the people who own these companies. what are they telling you that they really need? >> well, i can tell you, ainsley, i've met with many small businesses around the country and without fail, i hear from them, look, cut my taxes. i will reinvest that money in my business, i will hire more workers, i will grow my business and this economy. and that's what they're concerned with. they need to know what their tax rate is. they're not talking about reform. what i hear is tax rate. let me have that money to reinvest in the company. steve: and i think was holding up a piece of paper saying i'm going to simplify to hold it up on one sheet of paper. the second line is two fold. the president said that the average middle class american family would save $4,000 every year, and he made this pitch in front of truck drivers each and every one of those truck drivers, many of them were actually small business people as well, so they would benefit from the president's plan. >> absolutely. goods are being delivers, raw materials are being brought to companies. our food is getting everywhere it needs to get. so truckers are part of the basics of our small businesses, and they mostly are small businesses. so when they see that extra money coming through, it's a big boom to that particular industry. ainsley: when you listen to the president, all the tax brackets, everyone's taxes go down. everyone is in a lower rate. getting a lower rate. but when you hear chuck schumer say the people who are the wealthiest, they're going to pay less and the people who are the poorest, they're going to pay more. is there truth to that? >> i think you're always going to hear that from the opposition. but, really, when you look at what the president is doing when all of the marginal rates are coming down. going from seven brackets to three brackets. a top rate on our small business that have passed through income is going to be au throw in, you know, city and state taxes, they're paying as much as 42%. so to have it capped at 25, this is really a big boom to small businesses. and, you know, middle income families, i think the president has indicated that probably have an additional $4,000 every year of income that they can either save or spend. those are big things to our middle class americans. steve: yeah, we like to keep more of our money. just saying it. i was down in naples, florida for the past weekend for a lovely wedding, and i noticed a lot of damage down in florida, a lot of small businesses impacted. how has the sba stepped up to help the folks not only in florida but other hurricane states? >> well, i've been to puerto rico with president trump. i went to houston with him, and then just came back from houston yesterday. i was with governor scott a little over a week ago as we looked at small businesses. what sba does is go right behind fema, and we get coming in to sba for loans for businesses, as well as homes. this is the only time that sba actually loans money. typically, we guarantee loans. so up to $200,000, whether it's a business loan, a home loan, a mortgage, renters who have lost property, capital or inventory losses. so there's a cap of 200,000. but that could go across the board. ainsley: yeah, that could help people rebuild. steve: a lot. >> so, for instance, in houston, we have now approved over 12,000 loans for about $1.1 billion. so that's very meaningful in that market to get people back up and running. and then we in puerto rico, a little bit slower in puerto rico, simply because they don't have their power grids up, their communication channels are still down, but we are on the ground all over the island delivering paper applications and helping people fill those out and getting them back into the systems. ainsley: giving those families a little bit of hope after they've lost everything. thank you so much for doing what you're doing and thank you for being with us. >> you bet. steve: next up on our thursday morning run down. rob and jillian go head-to-head in the kitchen with a fox and friends bake-off. ainsley: but first, let's check in with bill to find out what's coming up at the top of the hour. >> good morning, guys. more on these americans coming home. what a story this is developing to be. coming up on that. also, opening bid on tax reform. what can pass congress? we'll debate that. top of the hour. ten minutes away ainsley: you know them as the new cohost of fox and friends first. today they are here for our first ever cooking and friends backoff. steve: let's start with you, rob. this recipe is from your mother. >> this is the one american thing that i think she knows how to make. ainsley: have you ever cooked before? >> i cook very basic stuff at home. ainsley: what are you cooking today? >> this is going to be apple pie. this is me. about a month ago, actually. it was a good trip. ainsley: and you took her to italy? >> yeah. she had never been. so i was, like, you know what? steve: have you ever done this before? >> you take this pillsbury dough, and i'm not going to do this whole thing. i mean, it's not going to be pretty. brian: do you want to just eat lettuce? >> you've got some flower, you've got some sugar. >> how long has your mom been baking? ainsley: wait a minute. can we zoom in on this? i mean -- hold on. >> guys, i've got no time here. >> got to put that in there. you take some apples. >> if you're doing a cooking show at 5:00 a.m. jillian, what are you making? >> i'm making a waffle cake. for those of you saying what the heck, it's from the netherlands. my family and i go to aruba every year and when we were there in april, we had this desert, which was amazing, and i was, like, i'm determined when i get home to figure out how to make this. so i search recipes. they were all in dutch. so i'm on googols translate trying to figure out how to make this thing. i bake. i don't cook anything. i bake. so far, i don't know what's going on here. >> exactly. you put some lemon juice, some sugar. i think hers is going to win just because of looking at it. but we've got to try. >> for show. ainsley: y'all like working together? >> yeah. we love it. >> i like making him love. >> but we're only four days in. >> it could all go wrong. >> janice. >> i'll be chasing it right now. >> yeah. just get in there and go for it. there you go. brian: it looks like chaos. >> but when mom makes it, it looks really good. >> let's try the cake waffles first. >> get one of the cookies. >> like a waffle cone. >> does anyone want to try?
