policies killing a mom and pop restaurant. a small business owner with minimum wage hikes for those cities shooting up to $15 an hour on top of obamacare limb tak limitations. the owners of traditional diners are struggling to stay afloat. vincent apollo joins us now. his restaurant the flagship diner in queens is something that he's struggling to keep going and vincent has told his story. we asked him to come in here and reit tera it it. vincent, thanks for joining us. >> you're welcome. >> when governor cuomo says, i have good news, new yorkers, we're raising minimum wage to $15 an hour, what does the business owner say? >> it's really difficult. with costs going up all the time and food costs, government sticking their hand in your pocket, it's very difficult to make ends meet. very difficult to pay your bills at the end of the month. >> isn't it right for people to work hard, vin september, to have a livable wage.
what do you say to them? >> absolutely. i think everyone should have a livable wage. i don't think the pay scales are fair. i think that dish washers, cooks, whatever, they should get their $15 an hour or more depending if they deserve it. >> merit. >> yeah. but waitresses, for example, they were making $5 an hour, they bumped it up to $7.50 in one shot and when you pay 600, 700 hours a week, that's almost $1,000 a week when you add in all the other taxes. >> your margins aren't great to begin with. you're working 80, 90 hours a week as an owner. it never stops. so what is this going to do to your business? >> it'll possibly put us out of business. the customers will decide because every time there's another increase we have to raise our prices. >> right. >> that gets passed along to the consumer. >> yes. >> they will decide whether we stay open. >> some people are making $15. they're going to say, excuse me, boss, if you're going to give these people $15 and i'm your

let's hear from kevin mccarthy. is this a go see or not? >> good morning to you guys. i saw this nine hours ago. brian, you were the first person i thought about because you love boxing. >> i do. >> "rocky" is one of the greatest movies of all time. for me, there's two types of people in the world. there's "raging bull" fans and "rocky" fans. i love both. boxing films are so fun to watch. this is a story line about a guy i didn't know much about, roberto durand who fought famously with sugar ray leonard. robert deniro plays the trainer. that's why it was so interesting for me to see him on this side. obviously we saw him in "grudge match" with stallone which i didn't care for. he was phenomenal in "raging bull." interesting seeing him back in the ring again and kind of like being there to train roberto
durand. >> plenty of stars. >> the performances are great. the problem is though the pacing, the editing and the direction are nowhere near, nowhere near the level of the great performances. i gave it a three. it's a c. kind of a matinee. not great. it has greatness inside of it. i wish it was better. great story though. >> even the documentary will be compelling let alone the dramatic movie. i'm very curious to see it. i'm still going to give it a shot. >> brian, i'm curious what you think. these two guys, edgar ramirez and usher train with the boxers who are still alive today. that gave it a real feel. very, very interesting to watch the performances. i just wish the movie itself was better, that's all. >> kevin, what about "mechanic resurrection" you saw that one, too, right? >> it's absolutely awful. >> is this about mr. goodwrench.
>> i love arnold. i'm a fan of "commando." there's nothing wrong with a fun mindless action film. it was horribly directed. same thing with "hands of stone." the editing feels off. there's a hit man who has to assassinate three clients to save jessica alba's character. it's a sequel no one even asked for. it's not worth seeing. i gave the film a 1.5 out of 5. the best scene in the whole film is in the trailer when he's hemmi hanging from the pool. watch a good action movie like "command joe" or "t 2." >> you have two huge stars and terrible script. unbelievable. >> i want be to mention it, great movie on demand right now that i just watched this past week called "sane street." watch it.

high speed intercept coming within 300 yards of the "u.s.s. niece." they carried out similar actions on three separate occasions, all of them on international waters. two of the incidents involved a pair of u.s. coastal repair ships. this time three iranian fast boats harassed the ships by crossing the bow and creating a possible collision hazard. the iranians again ignored repeated calls and five blast signals. later that same day the tempest and squirrel were harassed repeatedly by an iranian ship which came within 200 yards. when the iranians yet again ignored radio and visual shots, they responded by firing three warning flares.
they fired three warning shots from a 50 caliber gun which is potentially the last step you can do before fully engaging. that forced them to take off. the pentagon said in all of these steps the u.s. had taken every step to de-escalate the situation. >> trying to, again, warn the iranian craft away and so they felt the need to take an additional step to try to de-escalate the situation and that was, again, fire the warning shots. these steps are taken in order to make sure that our crew and our ship, they're able to protect themselves and to try and prevent this from escalating into a more serious situation. >> we'll likely see more interactions like this though because the iranian defense minister has said it's probable that they will continue to do this to u.s. navy vessels. yesterday the white house called this harassment, it's unsafe and said that it cannot continue to happen. see how this plays out.

being encouraged. so they stepped forward and hopefully that process will continue as we continue to publish and we can see the cascade of information. hopefully also coming out about our republican campaign, and then americans and others can be better informed about who's new policy is going to be u.s. policy. >> you said the republican campaign. do you have information about donald trump? >> we do have some information about the republican campaign. i mean, it's from a point of view investigative organization like wikileaks. the problem with the trump campaign it's hard for us to publish much -- well, controversial material than what comes out of donald trump's mouth every second day. that's -- i mean, that's a very strange reality for most of the media to be in. >> well, i had reince priebus on
the radio yesterday and he said this. i'm not happy about whatever happened to the dnc and the groups, it's not right. obviously i'm not cheering for folks stealing private information from american entities. i'm not on board with that. whatever it means. so he watched his counterpart get fired and chaos ensue. he is saying it's wrong. why do you feel as though you have to insert yourself in the american process? >> well, look, wikileaks is a global media organization. we are funded by the public. we aren't funded by dodgy organizations or by advertisers. we are funded by the public, mostly the american public. we are tax deductible in the united states. you can hit the donate button and we can publish more and we can publish faster. so -- >> but why? >> but there are others who believe the public have a right to know.
one of them owns your tv station, rupert murdoch. >> does wikileaks have a policy about publishing personal health records? is there a possibility? we have heard a lot about various candidates' health this campaign. is there a possibility -- i know you're being cagey about what you're going to tell us you're going to release, but do you have a policy against releasing somebody's personal medical information? >> that's an interesting question in relation to a presidential candidate. i mean, we wouldn't bother in other circumstances, where someone who is a -- there can be other cases. so, you know, criminal case for example where someone has been shot, maybe that is part of it. that someone has died and there's a dispute over the will for example. and there's question of whether someone has been murdered, those can be part of it. but yes, if we receive medical information about the presidential candidate, i think that would be of genuine
interest to -- >> well, julian, let's be direct. have you received information about hillary clinton's medical condition? whatever it is. >> i know you guys would love it if we scooped ourselves on "fox & friends." but we're not going to. we have already published 32,000 -- more than that now hillary clinton e-mails. you can search them. a lot of stories have come out about that. there are passing references to hillary clinton's head injury. she calls it i have a cracked head, to decision fatigue. to her looking up -- and
[ indiscernible ] and taking an alertness drug. not to say she has some necessarily serious disorder. anyone in a high stress job like military pilots like to take this. so i think it's perfectly acceptable to reveal serious information about a candidate. in fact, they should disclose it themselves, the information that might affect their ability to do the job. >> julian, what is the most shocking thing that you have found about hillary clinton? >> well, i think the most interesting and serious relate to upcoming publications we have. a variety of different types. so a lot of information that we have already published. i mean, it may not be that apparent to most people who are not sort of specializing in politics and national security, but major failure by the trump campaign and the bernie sanders
campaign, hillary clinton tried to run on her having judgment and experience in the state department. later on those campaigns -- too late in the process in my view started picking up the experience was mostly a bad experience. so for example in libya. we published 1,700 e-mails about her involvement in libya. and benghazi is a small part of that. but she was the leading architect, the leading political force driving to destroy the libyan -- and the pentagon was -- senior generals, generals in the pentagon, not all of them but a number, were pushing strongly the libyan state should not be destroyed because radical jihadi groups would move in and take it over which they did. it's now a failed state of isis, et cetera. >> right. >> she was the leading cause of this. we've published some things from
her e-mail called the libya tick tock. that's her internal brag sheet of how she was the person behind the libyan catastrophe. it was produced in late 20011. before isis had moved in. >> we have about 90 seconds. i want to come back -- we have some viewer questions for you, julian. thank you for joining us this morning, however i do notice one thing. you don't say anything bad about the russians. they gave you your own tv show. have they intimidated you? >> it's just false. false information. a lot of -- there's now a campaign under way. because hillary clinton, her camp and those who support her for good reasons and bad know that we have serious upcoming publications. so since the dnc leaks there's been a campaign against wikileaks because they're worried about any publication. we have a perfect record over a

the top, obviously. i mean, no surprise to say that. no, what's happening is a form of elite immunity. now, hillary clinton, her administration with obama, has prosecuted more journalists and journalist sources including us and our alleged sources than all under the espionage act, than all previous presidents combined. in fact, more than three times as many as all previous presidents combined. they have gone after reporters from fox, from a.p., as well as a wide variety of other sources and smaller outfits. so when you see that hillary clinton has not been prosecuted for more than a hundred classified messages that she had exchanged, including one

them, and he's going the opposite direction from what he would want to do if he wins in november. >> why do you think he's losing ground? >> there are a number of reasons. he's had a lot of trouble winning over white college educated voters. what he's doing lately with his outreach efforts to soften his rhetoric on immigration is largely trying to reach those voters. but it doesn't seem to be working that well. >> so is the thinking -- the core voters are going to vote for him anyway, so let's go for the independents who might be thinking -- you know, the 8 or 10% of undecides at this point who are kind of shopping around? >> i think he should be looking at those voting for third party candidates. there's interesting stuff going on there. >> tell you what, we'll put up the poll for you. in a four way race this is nationwide, hillary clinton 42, donald trump about 38.
you've got your johnson at almost 9 and jill stein at about 4. who are they drawing voters from? trump or clinton? >> it might surprise you, it's kind of complicated. here's why. first, look at gary johnson's supporters. so johnson's supporters are closet republicans but they're never trump voters. so in a one-on-one match-up with clinton and trump, they say they're voting for clinton. however, if it was a different republican in the race besides trump they would ordinarily be republican voters. so as you can see, clinton and trump both have a lot to gain by trying to compete for those voters. >> interesting. you talked about the battleground states. let's look at north carolina first. you can see right here, north carolina, clinton is up by two over trump. >> yes. so -- >> and gary johnson's got seven. >> something that's important to keep in mind here, we want to take seven polls conducted over the course a week, maybe two weeks to really establish a trend. what we're seeing in north carolina is not much movement at
all. hillary clinton continues to lead trump and it's not really changing. this is actually a big problem for trump because romney won the state of north carolina. it should not be as tight as it is. now, trump is gaining in the state of arizona. that we do see movement. but again, romney won the state of arizona by nine points in 2012. >> let's look at the great state of florida which which will a rainy weekend i believe with the tropical storm down there. this is from florida atlantic university. i have seen a couple of polls in the last couple of days where he's slightly ahead of her, but within the margin of errors. >> if you put the aggregate of polls together, hillary clinton is leading in florida but her post convention bounce is fading a bit. florida is winnable for trump so he needs to be spending time in florida and ohio and not so much time in mississippi and texas. >> all right. interesting stuff. emily, thank you so much for joining us.

you asked him this question. >> we asked him what he found to be the most shocking thing that he has uncovered thus far about hillary clinton because they say that they are going to release a whole bunch of stuff in october or maybe september surprise. >> significant information they have. that they're going to release before the election. this is what he said, the most shocking stuff he found. >> major failure by the trump campaign and the bernie sanders campaign, hillary clinton tried to run on her having judgment and experience in the state department. later on, those campaigns -- too late in the process from my view started picking up that the experience was mostly a bad experience. so for example in libya, we published 1,700 e-mails about o to -- about the involvement in libya and benghazi is a small part of that. but she was the leading architect -- the leading political force driving to
destroy the libyan state. a failed state -- isis, et cetera. and she was the leading cause of this. we published something from her e-mail called the libya tick tock. that's her internal brag sheet of how she was the person behind the libyan catastrophe. it was produced in late 2011 before it was -- that isis had moved in. >> remember julian assange created the controversy that the democrats couldn't control. hillary clinton seems to be able to -- and bill clinton always seem to survive. they stay afloat despite the controversy, they wear you out. when he published his stuff -- i'm not for this hacking and disclosing. fundamentally against it. bottom line it's out there, people examine it and five people lost their jobs. debbie wasserman schultz, that whole thing rocked the whole democratic convention and he said this is even bigger. >> well, he said -- he has had threats against his life because
of it. he can't come back to the united states so it's affecting him. but he feels it's worthwhile. >> he feels obligated to do it, because he said there's stuff going on behind the scenes we don't know about. his method of doing it is by releasing these things that, you know, somebody is probably breaking the law if they're hacking in to get this stuff. but in many cases it's somebody at the organization, we don't know exactly who the dnc came from, but that's more stuff coming. he also said, not only hillary, but he's got stuff on trump too. >> but he said that trump says such controversial things on his own that he probably wouldn't even rock his campaign to have this exposed. >> right. whatever is on his mind he just says. >> right. yesterday, there was some other big news and trey gowdy was on "special report" last night. he had a chance to -- he's as outraged as i have seen him. he did the benghazi special select committee. he says he found out that the clinton camp was able to wipe out that -- wipe out their server with a sophisticated
software that makes it almost unretrievable. >> what's the name of it? bleach bed. >> listen to this. >> if she considered them to be personal, then we move into the facet where she and her lawyers had those e-mails deleted. and they didn't just push the delete button. they had them deleted where even god can't read them. >> wow. >> what does that show you? >> there's the software to prevent recovery. she bleached out everything so you and i and the rest of the world couldn't see anything. >> i don't get why she doesn't want recovery of yoga notes and e-mails about the wedding for chelsea. who by the way, it was revealed yesterday, you know the clinton people said if she's elected president the clinton people will step away from it. and it turns out they'll step away from it, but chelsea will stay as a leadership position there.
and they'll continue to take money from corporations and foreign governments. >> insincere. that's how i would headline what we're saying. hillary clinton is playing dumb, no idea it's personal stuff. they read every e-mail. i want's boring. these lawyers by the way were looking at these without top security clearance, that's a problem. keep in mind, the e-mails had been wiped out already, this is what she said. >> did you wipe the server? >> like with a cloth or something? >> i don't know. you know how it works digitally. >> i don't know how it works digitally at all. >> making jokes about it. four men died in benghazi. she according to some of the e-mails knew about it. tried to cover it up. it's not a laughing matter. >> she made a joke about it to make it seem like she didn't understand it. when push came to shove and they needed to completely erase any digital footprints, they went to the super secret stuff called bleach bit to just nuke it. >> right. >> doesn't sound so innocent.
>> is it plausible she didn't even know about it? >> yeah. >> really? she looked really confused. what happened after that? almost everything she said after this from that presser to the u.n. presser has turned out to be incorrect. and it's not over yet because some september 13th we'll see the other e-mails she did not turn over voluntarily. >> that's right. if you're paying attention to the race you know in the last 24 hours hillary clinton has called donald trump a racist. he's called her a big odd. -- bigot. in the last couple of hours he's released a new instagram that takes a look at mrs. clinton's record. >> clinton camp hits obama, attacks painful for black voters. doesn't want to change the tone. they're defending this and this therefore is their strategy. >> this shows a quick reaction team that trump never had before. two weeks ago i don't think he would have been able to do. this don't you believe for hillary clinton to change topics
and make that speech about him being a white supremacist sympathizer and a horrible person and a radical, to me it shows that trump is making inroads much more disciplined than you could imagine and she had to try to slay him again. but she chose a thursday afternoon at 3:00 in august to get her best stuff forward? that to me shows the desperation. >> yesterday, he was sitting down. he had the roundtable discussion with leaders of the african-american community to say what do you need, what can i do for your community to make our country better? i also had a chance to sit down with his son, with eric and his wife. we'll show you a little bit of that interview later with his wife. but we'll show you right now me asking eric trump about the african-american voters and what he thinks his dad can do to get the votes. your dad is being called a bigot. your dad called hillary clinton a bigot. what makes him think she is? >> she hasn't done anything. she has been in government for 30 years. what what -- what have they
accomplished to held the min tips? they turn a blind eye to them. she doesn't speak to them, she holds a fund-raiser every singled night for $36,000 a plate. she's not talking to the people but she certainly wants their vote even though she doesn't think of them in the long run. >> what has your dad done for the african-american community? >> we hire so many african-americans and latinos and hispanics. he's signed the front of the check, not the back of the check. you see that's different from the politicians they lived off the government. >> got to be tough for the family because they're a business family until the last year. >> i can't believe how far we are in the race. hillary clinton is not a bigot, and neither is trump.

we are back with a few quick headlines for you. a nearly naked man rams a truck into the southwest plane at eppley airfield in omaha, nebraska. police say that the man was screaming that someone was trying to kill him. he scaled the airport fence, stripped down to his boxers and

preview. john, thnk you. >> what's your approach tonight? >> you say a lot of the voters on the fence, i think a lot of voters don't like either trump or clinton. look, you have two ex-governors who served two terms in republican and democratic states. good jobs. they offer a reasonable alternative. we ask people what do you think of them, most people don't know who you are. >> i know you're a libertarian personally, but i mean, you would like to see johnson win. if you look at his numbers you know a lot of states he's in double digits. who does that affect? >> he pulls equally from hillary and trump so far in the polls but he can't get into the debates -- the debate commission says unless he gets 15%. this debate commission is not some long time arbiter. it's a private company, they don't want competition. >> we had $19 trillion in debt, even though the unemployment rate is low, the labor

little kids out in the street. which is kind of a problem. when she got home, she got arrested. she posted a $500 bond and people are saying, was it appropriate that this family while on vacation -- she went to the nearby restaurant -- >> five miles. >> she went out to get some food, she was gone for more than half an hour. what do you think? is it right that they would arrest her? >> what do you think, 8 and 9-year-old -- >> reed said this, wow, 45 minutes? when i was 8 years old i wouldn't have noticed my mom was gone for that long. >> mary says 8 and 9, overnight would not be gone. i don't think 45 minutes is a problem. nosey neighbor issue. >> i think the neighbor was concerned that the kids were in the street. >> i would never have called the cops. >> i would have said, kids, get out of the street, where's your mom? >> ed says my 9-year-old helps me mow the lawn. am i breaking child labor laws?
