>> he did find some footprints. he would have radioed in to his nearest backup and let them know as we now know the person responded with the agents. >> us so viewers are clear agent martinez was by himself. >> the problem with that being as dark as it was that night they would have the advantage on him because they know where he is but he doesn't know where they are. they would have come up to one of these tunnels and cross under. >> how often does that happen? administration. back in june the president signed into law the va accountability protection act and what this bill did is made it substantially easier to fire bad employees and those found guilty of misconduct. previously it could take up to 700 days if not longer to fire va employees who were found guilty of misconduct including engaging in actions that led to the deaths of veterans. now you can get them off the payroll in as little as 21 days and that is a huge improvement, firings of bad employees have gone up since this law was signed and it could serve as a model for civil service performed across the whole government so that makes this law a bigger accomplishment in our minds. >> this is just the beginning, much more does need to be done. something else, the g.i. bill, he strengthened the g.i. bill as well. >> signed into law the forever g.i. bill which was reforms crafted by a group called veterans for america, a great group and this bill strengthens the g.i. bill and ensures veterans in future generations have access to these benefits, closing loopholes and most importantly did it in a fiscally responsible manner, found ways to do it which is unusual concept in washington dc, usually they just add to the deficit but a lot of groups came to the table, put together a good package and donald trump signed it into law last summer. jillian: i want to mention the order, helping veterans get mental health care, very significant, we have done a lot of segments on it, 20 veterans a day died from suicide. >> yes and that is very unfortunate and many of those veterans don't coming to contact with the va or other forms of mental health care in the community and this law ensures veterans a year after they leave the service have access to some type of mental health care. they still need to flesh out details that we think it is important that the va and other government agencies engage community nonprofit providers because the va alone can't do this, they
