[laughter] >> brian: we begin with a fox news alert. the american citizens detained in iran you are looking at them before a controversial $6 billion prison swap have now landed in the u.s. you are looking at video with us together for the first time. showing them walking off a plane in fairfax county, virginia. and reuniting with their families. >> lawrence: that's right. president joe biden set to address the united nations general assembly just hours from now and the president of iran will deliver remarks this afternoon. >> jacqui heinrich joins us live from the u.n. with the very latest. yack question? >> good morning to you guys. you know, while today's story is about who is here at the u.n. general assembly including iranian president ricey after yesterday's prisoner swap anat r of the five members. permanent members of the u.n. security council, the only one showing up is the host. president biden. while russian president volodymyr zelenskyy will not attend because of an international arrest warrant, chinese president xi jinping also snubbed the summit is he not even sending foreign minister. expected meeting with biden this november. france's emmanuel macron says his heavy schedule would not allow it. he didn't want to reschedule an already postponed meeting with king charles and u.k. prime minister rishi sunak is absent. that's note being because this is his first summit since he assumed his position. both of those leaders just attended the g-20 in india and prime minister modey of india who biden is trying to pull out of china's orbit is also not showing up to the u.n. general assembly this week. not exactly ideal attendance what is expected to be a big push from biden to shore up support for ukraine. it comes at a time when getting congress to sign off on more u.s. support poses a significant hurdle. >> can you give us the themes of what he is going to outline? >> i think you are going to see broad sweeping speech here by the president. you will see him talking a full throated way about the need to continue to support ukraine as they defend their country and sovereignty and the fact that the united states is going to continue to lead world efforts to do that. >> so far the biggest headline of the sum mid has not been about the summit ought all return of five. american passport holders not to travel to iran. in a sense a nod to criticism that this deal could encourage more hostage-taking trying to work against that, biden said we are sanctioning former president mahmoud ahmadinejad and iranian minister of intelligence for their involvement in wrongful detentions and we will continue to impose costs on iran for their provocative actions. biden's address this morning is at 10:00 a.m. iranian president won't speak until this afternoon. those are the two big headline speeches expected at the summit. >> brian: do you think it's related that the saudis have now broken off talks with israel about normalizing relations that seems like the more isolated iran was, the more apt they were to move forward with the abraham accords. this deal is done and saudi arabia says, you know what? i'm done talking. do you think they are related? >> well, we should say i talked to john kirby about this and several senior administration. they deny that is the case. they say these talks are ongoing, that normalization efforts are continuing; however, you are right to acknowledge the iran prisoner swap and this transfer and, also, iran's continued efforts to get a nuclear weapon that are going unchecked really here at the u.n. the iaea director warning that people have to ramp up their efforts because saudi arabia does not want to see that happen. saudi arabia wants enrichment for ostensibly nuclear power plant that could on a hair trigger be converted to a nuclear program if iran were to be able to get a weapon. so it looks like, perhaps, mbs is trying to see what concessions he could get out of the u.s. asked if the u.s. would entertain the idea of allowing enrichment and then maybe bringing that to a discussion later on. but we're told that those talks, israel and saudi arabia are still on course headed towards something. >> steve: yeah. hey, jacqui, real quick, you said that big headline out of this so far has been the americans coming back. the timing is very convenient touched down dulles outside of washington just about an hour ago four hours before the president of the united states is set to take the stage at the united nations general assembly. was there coordination and is that the reason we paid 5 or $6 billion in defrosting that cash to make sure that we had that image before he showed up here in midtown? >> yeah, i asked that very question yesterday to john kirby, the spokesman, because it certainly looks like the time cooking have been coordinated. the announcement came obviously on the anniversary of 9/11. no one really acknowledged how sensitive that was and to have the u.n. general assembly convening as the headline is iran looking like they got a better deal in a lot of ways than the u.s. did. of those are two headlines that don't exactly work for american interest. but john kirby told me this is really a coincidence. these efforts to get these prisoners home have been ongoing for months and months. there have been at least eight series of talks between the iran ons and the u.s. officials in doha with basically shuttle diplomacy, someone literally going between hotels to try to work this out over the course of several meetings. the dates, we're told, was just a coincidence, guys. >> ainsley: you know, jacqui, i was listening to another network and i heard a reporter being asked does this ever happen, a prisoner swap, exact exchange five for five and then the public never finds out about unfreezing of assets? how did we find out about that? were they -- was that full disclosure or was it because someone dug deep? >> it was full disclosure. you'll recall that there was a scoop that came out with rumblings of this several weeks before the announcement was actually made. but the administration did tell us when it happened. you know, you could be a skeptic and wonder if that scoop came out if we would ever know. obviously it came from somewhere. and, you know, something of this stakes involving a country like iran. it would be really inconceivable to think that the u.s. could allow a work around this level of sanctions without the public ever finding out about it. certainly congress would raise some alarm bells on that one. >> ainsley: look at that we saw the video of the loved ones running into them. how long were they detained? do we know, exactly? >> ainsley: varying stages of time for a number of them and also the two family members who had not been allowed to leave the country, but we're welcoming them home today. obviously good news for the u.s. good news for those families. you want to see americans who are wrongfully detained being brought home. that's something the president has been trying to show off as achievement now about a dozen hostages he said in his statement yesterday he has facilitated the return of of course the cost in that, in particular this cost the $6 billion cost has come with a lot of criticism. >> brian: all right, jacqui, thanks so much. i'm glad for you there is no rain. a third of the nuclear inspectors have been kicked out of iran already. they are gone. all bets are off. and maybe iran's greatest threat would be hey, saudi arabia, go ahead. why don't you go make a nuclear weapon. you want to continue? they are going to do it and they hate, you too. >> lawrence: the president is at the u.n. projecting this message. i'm not sure that's a message of strength. and he definitely does not have the strength at the border as well. this new video shows about 2200 migrants illegally crossing the border near eagle pass. and now there is this new housing development, and my home state of texas that has become a hub for illegals to buy cheap property without any proof of credit or proof of income. bill melugin, has been showing us the video of these folks coming across. >> brian: nobody else has this. >> lawrence: it's insane to me. >> ainsley: one of the largest crossings ever in eagle pass yesterday. started at midnight bill melugin tweeted it out after our show? >> steve: yeah, i think about 10:00 yesterday morning. >> ainsley: in the course of those hours 2200 people. >> steve: as is the case, you know, yesterday, we showed you the guy dressed in camo going over the wall with ropes and stuff like that. and then vanishing into the desert. these people made the crossing right next to the port of entry because it is important for them to sign the guest book, even though they have crossed into the country illegally so they can be processed and then they are going to be given a court date to show up at an ice office some time in the future. but, lawrence, you know, after they leave there, you wonder where they go and that's why you had a great guest talking about this. great big area near houston. >> lawrence: right outside of houston. >> steve: it's about the size of washington, d.c. and it has been suggested it is one of the largest illegal alien in texas. developer says that's not drew. brian babin said the word is cartels are playing a role in the area. and law enforcement says that cartels invested in property early in that location, to set up safe houses for human and drug smuggling operations, which is extraordinary. >> ainsley: look at that aerial view. so the reporter from the daily wire flew over the wood lands, which is a very popular area, really nice homes, really pretty homes. right outlines of houston. they flew over the wood lands and right past the wood lands they saw this development, the clone ridge, that is population 50 to 75,000. 60 square miles. listen to this. poor living conditions according to the reporter. they are flying flags of foreign countries, many houses display their addresses on spry painted pieces of plywood some not hooked up to running water. some under construction. tents strand stray dogs and under developed streets. >> brian: illegal aliens know what many americans have figured out the years ago the biden administration is all propaganda what they say not real unless you believe unicorns is real. nothing has changed and that's a fact. no democrat wants to talk about it. believe me, this is what roe v. wade was in 2022, this will be what the democrats have to deal with in reality in 2024. there's no excuse. so you talk to todd bensman earlier, here's what he said. >> there are, according to local law enforcement officials, four different mexican cartels that operate in that area. ice will not touch it. law enforcement, state law enforcement is very thin there. local law enforcement is very thin there. and i have been down on the ground interview the people that buy there illegal immigrants that i have interviewed that have bought property there. they say that's one of the greatest appeals of it is that law enforcement isn't there to sweat them. >> lawrence: i'm sorry, ainsley. >> ainsley: you go ahead. >> lawrence: i want to be all over this area i want to understand how this is happening in texas. it's not a sanctuary state. this guy, developer according to the daily wire report he has given $1.4 million in donations, luttrell the congressman, american hero, obviously, he has given money to briscoe state representative. he has also given money to our governor, greg abbott. these republicans say they had no idea about this but i want them to come on the program and explain to me how this is able to happen in the state of texas. and there is no law enforcement in the area. it should be shu?
