i haven't seen any with gop, donald trump or ron desantis at the border. >> yeah, i think of all the democrats i talked to over past two days, the border is back in the forefront with this new video. their argument, it is not president biden's fault, it is congress' fault and republicans in congress they say are not working with them to pass comprehensive immigration re form. if congress is the answer, nothing happens fast in congress, no answer any time soon. >> steve: hillary, over the last couple months, finally the democratic mayor in new york is calling on the administration to reimburse the city, it is costing billions. you are in the district of columbia, they have had a terrible migrant problem over the last couple years. they have a democratic mayor there, is she making the same pitch? >> yeah, i've talked to democrats recently this week about the new york city mayor saying that it is going to destroy the city there, they are out of resources and they say the federal government needs to give them more money to deal with the problem. >> steve: no problem. hillary in the basement of the capitol, in the tunnel. >> ainsley: mayors are saying they need money to handle the migrants, but yet democrats are saying republicans shouldn't talk about it. >> steve: we were talking about the problem in new york and the problem in d.c., let's talk about chicago. they have just signed close to a 30 million dollar contract with a corporation to build tentses. keep in mind, how would you like to be a migrant, homeless migrant in chicago, in the winter in a tent? this is their master plan to solve the problem in chicago. >> ainsley: almost 30 million for these tentses, 12 cots per tent plus restroom. three meals per day and questions remain about heating capabilities. >> lawrence: brian, the same democrats that said this would be a sanctuary city and welcomed migrants, they said, come. >> brian: trump tried to sue them to make it illegal and they sued back. >> lawrence: that is right, we've litigated this and democrats said, come. migrants started to come, they were coming to the state of texas. governor abbott said, i will start sending buses with them there. texas is overburdened, food pantries and shelters are shut down there. you will share the burden. they come there and these cities are ill prepared and finally they said, they need the money, not to secure the border, but to provide for illegal immigrants they said they wanted to come in the first place. >> brian: things had to get terrible before getting better. one key to previous administration success and they were getting 400,000 per year and they thought they were drilling in the right direction. go to central and southern american states, they come through central and south america with mexico. when you threaten tariff and looked them eye to eye, how do we work this out, you put 20,000 on your border. tell them you will not get any aid until they see progress and it took a while, they started to realize, they wanted their people home, they wanted aid, too. they were using security to control the border along with security and building of a wall. it is not any one thing. you can't get to visa reform or anything until you secure the border and they see this as historic opportunity, not republican or democrat, they see a guy that has been to the border once in 50 years and never -- no individual has broken anything like broken this in the rearview. >> ainsley: that video is eagle pass, they are overwhelmed there. they don't even have shelters that are big enough to house them. they have one shelter overflowing, these migrants are under the bridge, it looks similar to what he woo saw two years ago when the hatian migrants were under the bridge in del rio. in tucson and san diego, they have run out of room and are releasing the migrants into the community. inun mr. plaintiff #2: 144,000 come across, july, 180's,000 and for some reason, they are coming in august in droves, estimate 230,000. >> steve: this is the month they never come, they are coming by the thousands everyday. so we take these pictures to show you what is going on everyday. these are images from yesterday, then they scatter across the country. chicago is going to do their best to handle the migrant crisis, which is not nearly the situation it is here in new york city or washington or philly. so what they're planning to do and what we've shown in the past, the last couple weeks, we've been showing how migrants are in police stations. you walk in, the plan is to build tent cities to have the tents replace the police stagszs with base camps essentially. there is a silver lining. that is the fact they will hire chicagoans to work in shelters and take care of the migrants. they have unemployment problem there, migrants are coming to chicago and chicagoans are going to get paid to take care of them. >> lawrence: what about the homeless people in chicago. they have a huge problem. >> brian: they don't get a tent. >> lawrence: how do they police this, the crime is overwhelming the community in chicago. they are going to the south or west side, doesn't make sense. >> brian: you are the mayor of eagle pass, these are not nice gays. senator roger marshall said we have 18,000 chinese. why are chinese coming to our border now, 2000 in 2022, 250 in 2021, why are chinese coming to our border? there is visa opportunities, why are they going there and showing up with pocket protectors and making their way through, i'm a refugee. i work at space x. >> lawrence: are you seeing this video? it is not a lot of families, it is a lot of adult men. >> brian: no refugees. >> lawrence: are you going to fight for your country? there are issues in venezuela and latin american countries, but the men should be fighting the government, fighting for law and order in those towns, instead, they are coming to eshg m. >> ainsley: they know they can. >> lawrence: just women and children, that has been bedebunked rights there. >> ainsley: we know where trump stands on immigration. he is doing well in fox business polls. start with iowa, this is iowa gop caucus goers, in july, 46%, still 46%. then ron desantis was getting 16 and now dropped one point to 15. nikki haley has gone up, she was 5%, now 11. and tim scott was 11% and vivek ramaswamy went up, as well. >> steve: go to south carolina and see how folks feel about that. donald trump has lost a little altitude, he is down two. nikki haley is up four. ron desantis is down three. and you can see there. donald trump so far ahead of everybody else, the fight really is to be number two. we were talking with a panel of voters in the caucus state of iowa in the primary state of south carolina just about half an hour ago and these are some issues and their reaction to the latest fox business poll. present them now, debate in a week. watch. >> i think it is really important to reform how the criminal justice system is to make sure the people who are doing the crimes are actually getting prosecuted for them. >> president trump has experience with farmers, he did a lot for trade with other countries like china. >> i think any candidate that wants my vote on either side of the aisle needs to address the abortion issue head on. i'm in the camp maybe it is time for more entrepreneurs and business people in the office as opposed to politicians. things in men and women sports, those things are having an impact on -- use the term nuclear family, although i think it is a buzzword right now, getting away from values of what we started years ago. >> brian: the reason we are going over the polls that just came out, when asked what are issues propelling candidates forward, number one issue among people polled, 49% say economy number one, 15% say immigration, foreign policy would be third and then you have different issues and socialist issues. see where that goes. i think president trump has been smart to get to ohio first and joe biden will help those people of palestine. now quick way to say, east palestine and now number two, he is going out with workers in detroit and will supreme court. cornel west will speak this week. where is blue collar joe, mia. >> lawrence: such a good point, more and more we talk to voters on a day-to-day basis and i think i'll be in montana tomorrow doing a diner, they want kitchen table issues. motion and identity politics not going to work. american people are struggling. if you have relatives, i can't tell you family members that are struggling because of the price of stuff when they go to the store. everyone is struggling right now. when you look at the border, every state has become a border state and being shipped to every state. number two, fentanyl coming across the border is a major issue. every candidate will have to speak to the issues. the reason donald trump is at the top, he has a proven record, people remember it. most recent thing and governors who have done great things in their own right, their states know them, but american people know donald trump. the bombastic, that is a problem. people are saying, what have you done for me lately, joe biden?
