And the president said as well in an earlier tweet about the meeting coming up. And even in a News Conference. He said he welcomes the possibility of them talk you beyond them talking beyond this. And now, you say the military would have prepared for this. And as you know, we are in the course of budgetary restraints. And youve talked about this a lot and reported on this. Our readiness. How might that impact us Going Forward to prepare for this kind of threat that we have . You talk about the thaad missiles. We do not have enough budgetary components going into the military, might we lose on the end of not having enough equipment to bolster readiness and make sure we are short of a victory . The possibility, keep in mind that there is only 44 interceptors in the ground. Interceptor missiles between this air force base in alaska and another air force base in southern california. That is 44 missiles. If any of those miss wife there is a north Korean Missile that does come to the nicest, is a fairly limited number to shoot that down just for missile. I agree. That certainly is not enough if you look at the whole game plan. It is the military strategy that you have more than enough so that you have an overwhelming force in order to repel any type of aggression towards the United States. That is correct. Keep in mind, while north korea did successfully test three Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles for the first time in history last year, excuse me, also one this year. It is notable they have not yet mastered the ability of a reit warhead reenter the earths atmosphere. As you know going from space back down into the earth enter the atmosphere there is a lot of pressure. So far the warheads, the test capsules or whatever you want to call have broken up when entering earths atmosphere. While north korea is getting closer by the minute, about a month as hr mcmaster has one, it is not what they have not demonstrated the ability to hit the United States yet. Although the last missile went 2300 miles into space. Keep in mind that is over 10 times higher than the orbit of the International Space station. That is a mild to high. We are on an island so we tried calling 911. Probably three times. To see if they can give us information. All of the lines were busy. One of our friends has a relative on the naval base over here and he said it was not addressed so we were freaking out little more standing outside the balcony trying to see if there was anything in the ocean or the sky. We sat on it for a couple of minutes trying to find news channels and updates. We were finding that twitter was the updates for us. One of the representatives said it was a false alarm. So that was a 30 or 40 minutes. That is so credible to think about what it would be like and to hear what you went through that mustve been so scary. One of the things i have not heard is people calling 911. That makes sense. You call 911 and see where to go, what to do. But then we are hearing that, how long did it take for you to get the second alert that it was a false alarm . We are hearing over 30 minutes. Was that the case . It was 39 or 45 minutes after. And once you saw that, i would imagine you might say, which one do we believe . I do not know if you had the thought of you know one of the things written by initially before we found out it was someone that had a wrong button. Maybe the system had been hacked. What was dorothy or my brain so that second alert that it was a false alarm for. We figured that maybe it is safe. We started driving out. The second alarm kind of calmed it for us. But the people going back to their vacation mode or mode of just going back about their business . We on the north shore right now, there is a lot of children running about, families. Since green bay there is. I mean everything looks fine. As far as someone causing all of this panic, the initial panic in the morning. I thought it was very irresponsible. Especially, hawaii is a huge tourist attraction. It is last thing you want to hear on vacation that something terrible to happen. But everything is fine and that is the main point. Look at this video. This will give you an idea what this was like for many people in hawaii. [video] the us Pacific Command has discovered a missile threat to hawaii. This is not a drill. I mean, incredible this is not a drill. That message was about 40 seconds long. That was the reality in which many people woke up this morning on hawaii and at 8 07 am. We started to get a better idea of the timeline. The Emergency Preparedness agency said he tweeted within 30 minutes that was a false alarm. The problem is that many people did not get the false alarm Emergency Alert on their cell phones until 30 minutes after the initial alert went off. This is from the hawaii Emergency Preparedness. This is the game plan. This is it. It is 20 minutes from launch until impact. If there were to be a Missile Launch in north korea. There will be five minutes for detection and a chance for the defenses the door from the us Pacific Command and to stop the missile in the next five minutes there will be a morning amnesty is learned. In the sirens and emergency notifications will be sent out. That gives people 10 minutes if theyre lucky to take individual action. This was a nightmare and scary for so many people. It is also a reminder of the route that we are facing but also, we do not have a solution. The solution is individual action to hide. To run inside of the building, preferably into a basin. If you are in a car, got on the ground and lay flat. That is the best option. For many people we have seen these accounts on twitter. People were texting their families. They were saying goodbye, crying, hiding. Cars came to a screeching halt not knowing what to do. Look at this. Other mattresses in the bathtub with my wife, baileys and my inlaws. Please lord, let this bomb threat not be real. We know this was a wrong button push. For 38 minutes, and the panic and the nightmare of this, people were sheltering in the basement. People were crying and holding each other. It was scary for a few minutes. Again, 13 minutes after 8 07 am, the alert first came out. The Emergency Management had been able to get onto the twitter account and say century there was a false alarm. It was a very brief statement. And it was not again until another 20 minutes or so that the alert came out. Just a nightmare. But it is chilling to see a video. Watching a soccer match and then the alert comes on. What do you do . That was chilling. You can hear the person saying in a calm voice, this is not a drill. So as not to cause any panic but everyone walking off of the soccer field. Perhaps to find some way of finding safety. An interesting point that you brought up there. Theres nothing hawaii to protect anyone from Nuclear Attack. In israel, they actually have bomb shelters that they created by the people. Someone just emailed me and sent me pictures of what those look like. Perhaps in the future of this newscast, we can share some of those pictures and how they prepare there. Maybe that is the details of this false alarm as the congresswoman talked about as well as our colleague, at the pentagon, that we have to be prepared. And how the military could use interceptors to bring down the missile but we are talking as if that were to happen. But the fortunate thing is that this is a false alarm. We have time to examine ourselves. That is exactly right. Right now there are no bomb shelters for these people to go to. I think that is the anger part of this. Sometimes when youre scared to go through different types of emotions. You are scared and then there is relief. And theres anger that you are just putting this process with your family.
