>> he is saving his energy it's rather humble of him to say people don't need to hear from me all the time and if he is preserving his energy to do what he can. we will most likely hear from pope francis as has been mentioned a blessing to the city and to the world. also speaking about what is going on in the world. usually talking about the areas of great suffering talk about the war in ukraine. so we will most likely hear from pope francis but instead to give some direction. >> he seems to be in very good spirits as he greets the cardinals he is smiling and shaking hands and happy to be there you can tell. >> yes he must be invigorated to see the crowd. after all this is what the ministry is all about to bring the gospel to the people of god. he understands he is a very physical and important point of unity for the catholic church and christianity around the world and many say we may have disagreements about theological issues but we see. >> as we take a look at these incredible pictures coming out of the vatican today, how important is the faithful to see crowds at almost pre- pandemic levels? >> yes. there is a lot of people there. i believe st. peter's square to hold 100,000 people without chairs. so i think it has been said there is about 50000 today or this morning there is a lot of people there i can tell you that and up by the barrier they are hoping pope francis will get into the pope mobile to drive right in between those two barriers and the vatican photographers are amazing if you even get close to the holy father then you can go over to the vatican the very next day and look for an image that may have been photographed or taken with you close to the holy father as he drives by. that's what the people are hoping for. >> there are people from almost every country in the world so living there nine years. there is a pope they did not show him getting up i thank you have some good communication directors because it is very difficult and you can see the pain he is in but he does have to get up. the pope has gotten into the pope and he will go right through the crowd before being addressed. >> what a moment that will be. of course we will not break away when it comes but the concerns he may not be able to be here today so it must really lift the spirits of the thousands of people there to see the pope healthy enough not only to preside over today's mass but as we see here, in the pope mobile waving and smiling so those people can get the pictures. >> i said skepticism goes out the window in moments like this i experiences and i was there with my family and it came right over to understand took our son the six -month-old baby at this time and lifted him up, our son enter into the pope mobile in the pope took him and kissed him i think i yelled out in joy. i think everybody is hoping for something like that. >> what is the overall message of easter? it is the resurrection of christ but what else? >> and easter, if there was a resurrection and in christian theology it is the very foundation of our belief, then god is bigger than everything including death itself. it seemed so final. final for our time on the earth but if god can rise from the dead and the person of jesus christ also i will give you new the and the opportunity and to rise again into each are no life but it is hard to put one against the other. [laughter] but yes st. paul in the testament talked about if there is no resurrection then our faith is for nothing. it is no good at all. if jesus who dies and does not rise from the tomb then our faith is absolutely useless. so yes easter is the most important day of the christian calendar. >> what happens now?
