like many don't want his help. maybe it's because biden is out of touch with voter concerns. check out the new poll showing 63 percent of voters do not think the president is being attention to the most important issues. or perhaps it's because they were worried about what he may say. yesterday joe biden made a rare appearance on the campaign trail in pennsylvania with john federman who is fighting for a close race with dr. oz. while there, the president seem to forget who he was supporting. then we're going to be a great lady in the assessment. >> it is of course john federman's life, not the senate nominee for democrat party. but at least nine democrats in tight spaces have either said they want they do not want the president's help where they dodge the question altogether. he was asked about that twice and he clearly didn't appreciate the question. >> there haven't been that many candidates campaigning with you. >> it not true, there are 15. figure they're going to be a few more? >> jim ryan doesn't want you they are. warnock wouldn't say, do you think they are making a mistake? >> 16 have already gone. and another 20 or so. >> i've got about 16 or 18 request all over the country so i don't know who is going where. >> it's like a girl they keep saying she's with a guy and he keeps saying i'm not that into you, but without toth pressed her test too much. i want to take you back to the hour of the the president had it was on the economy number one issue we know markman shows 31 percent. >> specifically inflation for the first time for him. we have a clip from that he came up with the maga phrase, but now he's got new one, mega maga trickle down. >> it's not a referendum, it's choice. look at what i have inherited and what i've done. and look at what they are offering. it is mega maga trickle-down. mega maga trickle-down. the kind of policies that are filled before and they will fail again. it would mean higher inflation for the middle class. that is the choice we are facing. that's what i think we're going to do just fine. >> he's already done most of that, i have higher inflation for the middle class to the point where it is a attacks of epic proportions on them. charles payne shared with me last hour it's not needed to miss you would have to work a year and a half to get back to the pay that it takes to pay for the food in the gas and everything that you need in 2022. that means we will be behind the eight ball as a nation starting the first of the year even more than we are right now. we will be so far behind in wages. inflation and its ability to be diminished as brought on by lower deficit has been debunked. it doesn't even approach touching inflation by lowering the deficit until 2031. that mirrors also what whorton has said. they'd say they don't coincide all that much but if there were any flattening of any lines it might happen in 2031. do you know where this economy will be if we see where we are spending at the rate we are right now? those words because of the student loan and all the giveaways from the cbo. i thought that congressional budget office was something that administrations listen too. at least they used to. he is not. he says that up until the midterms, we have been back and forth. actually they had momentum in june after they overturn roe versus wade. they lost four points last month. they lost their mojo. he says the polls are over or over the place. another not. gop nationally is five points ahead of a generic democrat anywhere in the country right now as of today. he says oh, one more shift to our side, and that will happen before election day. we can't predict the future, but i can tell you he will be in rehobeth, he will be in delaware during crunch time the next few days and the kingmaker in the party, barack obama will be upstaging him. i don't know who he thinks is going to turn things around, but if it happens, it won't be him. again i think that's what we call wishful thinking. >> i call it delusions. >> i call it flat out lying. >> you look at the economic indicators, inflation a.to percent, it was 1.4 percent when he took office. gas prices, national average 385. putting all the facts here, there is one inescapable fan, this cnn pulling say the economy is full, poor, and i believe it's 20 to percent to say it's good. regardless of what facts he wants to use, this is how people feel. >> the economy is not doing well right now, i think the democratic party knows that. that's why you see not just joe biden, but pete buttigieg and brock obama and other people making sink this is a choice and we passed a bill that lowered drug prices for americans. that is just one that the economy isn't good right now, but republicans want to roll back some of that relief we have given to you. let's not forget millions of americans have already voted so we watch these polls go up and down every week. we see who has the momentum and who doesn't. i think over 5 million americans in places including like georgia. record numbers on track to outpace the 2020 midterms. but we don't know how they're voting. we don't want to gloss it over. it's irresponsible and just unfathomable that somebody would say elections aren't a referendum. they can be. of course are going to say that because they don't want to get graded on their economy they want to make it about the economy that you might prefer. i like the one that is winning, i like the one that has cheaper gas. but it is a choice. there are two people on the ballot. >> if you understand them wanting him to be a choice. also just with prescription drugs, different argument, the point is, every poll put this out, every single one, new york times every single one. shift a republican, shift to republican. we know the generic ballot always underestimates republican. >> 53 under. and they were pulling hired earth and joe biden was at this point come as you can imagine what it will be like in the house for it in the senate, that clear politics projection is 47 democrat momentum clearly in the republican paper. it is the messaging i think that bothers so many americans. when you hear the president just before last hour he tripled down on insisting that the economy is strong as well. he also said that gas prices are down sharply. what was that he said, nearly four dollars now. they are down sharply from an all-time high, it's purposely misleading. he also blames what he inherited when he came into office the economy was on an upswing coming out of covid. he also claims the gop wants to send jobs overseas. this is incredible. and then who is poll testing in the white house these days? mega mega triple down? that's how effective they were, that's the point. it's just silly talk when you talk like that. mega maga trickle down. >> if you would just keep quit saying it's getting better, gas prices are falling, inflation is deadly, if you just said i feel your pain, this is a tough time i feel you and i hear you. >> as opposed to eating ice cream and seen the economy is strong as and people look around and say the sky, clearly he's going to spin things in his favor, but that is a next level. >> those kinds of nicknames never work because the republicans embrace them and make t-shirts and it never sticks. by contrast, president biden always says he wants to not build the economy from the top down and the bottom up, but then how do you explain something like student loan debt relief which helps the wealthiest among us, the college educated, increases inflation and therefore affects the poorest among us in a negative way. i think one of the reasons why there are a lot of democrats not calling for him to campaign for them is not because of the stumbles and the bumbles, but because there hasn't been some unforced errors. he said that poll, 63 percent of people say i wish she'd focus more on the things that matter to me, one of those things i think as an unforced error are gas prices where there are more people in this country that are worried about gas prices than are of the climate conscious ego folks. if you made a speech and said listen, we're going to go to the green as much as we possibly can, but right now were in a crisis and we're going to deregulate when it comes to oil and gas. you would see his poll numbers go back up. mega maga trickle down. say it three times fast. a man convicted of a 2012 mop murder was exonerated and let out a prison last year. now that man is wanted in connection with another murder. and that da, he is facing possible impeachment. that is next. it's the subway series menu! 12 irresistible subs... like #11 subway club. piled with turkey, ham and roast beef. this sub isn't slowing down any time soon. i'll give it a run for its money. my money's on the sub. it's subway's biggest refresh yet. we can't wait any longer. climate change is here. already threatening san francisco's wastewater treatment plant at ocean beach. risking overflow sewage to dump right into the ocean. there's a solid climate plan in place, but changes to the great highway required by prop i would cost san francisco taxpayers $80 million to draft a new climate plan and put the entire west side and ocean beach at risk of contamination. protect our beach, ocean and essential infrastructure. reject prop i before it's too late. >> philadelphia soft on crime policies are proving to be more of them problematic politically. they are quite dangerous for every citizen there. a man wanted in connection with the murder of a 50 -year-old man was let out of prison last year by the city's liberal district attorney. prosecutors say security footage put 30 two-year-old harris at the scene of a deadly shooting that took place last month. harris was originally convicted for murder in 2012 and served eight years in prison. philly district attorney, that's a name you know because they wanted to recall him and do all sorts of things. anyway, his office conducted an investigation and exonerated him. now efforts are underway to impeach them as critics claim the policies for those cities spiraling crime crisis. krasner responded today with his own reasons for the crime wave. none of which have anything to do with him. >> right now, in a superheated election cycle, where part of the republican playbook is to point a figure at large diverse cities and state large diverse cities are lawless. what we see here is the same old playbook which is about coded and racist messaging. it's about blaming the biggest cd in pennsylvania with the biggest population for having the same national struggle we have with gun violence everywhere. and evening increases that are less than the committees counties. >> heat use that word racism not recidivism because the recurring crime by the same chris will criminals are his responsibility. he is having contempt in about an by the body, now he faces impeachment. you can't help but think of him. it is tied to senate can candidates like federman who supported this da and seeking a endorsement of a group by reclaim philadelphia. they said the police money in philadelphia was stolen from communities, this as federman said he was tough on crime and he was excited for the policies that await him. because of the crime and because of the past with words like mercy, for the criminals. >> absolutely. i think that there is a shift happening when it comes to crime when he comes to what is going on in oregon as well where there could be a republican governor or even in new york, john federman to your point, you feel like you can be a victim at any moment, that's when you know there needs to be a shift and is not just the inner cities, it's affecting the suburbs as well. he is known in the prison population as uncle larry because he is considered soft on crime. he gave this fan boy nickname. when you're the district attorney and your job is to defend the population and citizens and keep them safe and prosecute prisoners, that is a big problem. >> what do you make of democrats, you mentioned the governor the governor's, we will see how that shakes out. but some of them are running pretty far ahead. when you look at crime, how do you think the democrats have dealt with owning some of what they have signed on to. not all of them signed on to defund the police, but many of them have. to get most of them didn't. joe biden very notably did not. >> he did, but he's also past more funding for police across the country so we should give him credit for that. you talking about the organ race. it has a little further ahead, but when it comes to philadelphia and the requester, there are some politics at work here. he said i will testify in an open impeachment hearing publicly. the republicans trying to impeach him say we are going to do that privately. they knew the new suspect was exonerated because the criminal justice system gave him an unfair trial. there is not one reason this crime is happening which is awful. >> i wonder if we don't pick the -isms as a society that benefit the person trying to make that argument the most. i think you would have to, then how did he end up killing somebody? you know what i mean? he was already in the system. he had all this but in that one time that racism may have played a role. >> i think those issues are all over the problems we continue to have in this country and i think a lot of the language that is used on this issue is incredibly coded. i think the criminal justice system, if we have a system or not everyone goes to jail forever, where it not everyone gets the death penalty, how do you get to a place where people can be released from prison at the end of their sentences and not go on to recommit. that is a bigger question. >> it is a bigger question and i wish some of the liberal das were asking that question in answering it honestly. >> is speaking of questions. next week is a debate in pennsylvania at the one debate could get october 25th, we've been waiting. to get this will decide this race because you are going to see john federman on the stage having to answer for all of this. this is what i would ask, you said you support d8 larry krasner's policies you said he is progressive champion of the criminal justice reform in 2021 there were more homicides in philadelphia than any year in the history of this city. in 2022 it's only getting worse. do you still support larry krasner. i think that's a fair question and let's see how he answers. >> will they ask it? piggy the phone might be. >> we will move on. up next, elon musk poised to take over twitter by the end of next week and it seems he has big plans to shake it up. new document show he plans to strip the company down to the studs. he is going to cut that workforce i read by 75 percent. but at the end of the day, you know you have a team behind you that can help medicare you are covered for hospital stays and doctor office visits but you have to meet a deductible for each, and then you're still responsible for 20% of the cost. next, let's look at a medicare supplement plan. as you can see, they cover the same things as original medicare, and they also cover your medicare deductibles and coinsurance. but they often have higher monthly premiums and no prescription drug coverage. now, let's take a look at humana's medicare advantage plans. with a humana medicare advantage plan, hospitals stays, doctor office visits and your original medicare deductibles are covered. and, of course, most humana medicare advantage plans include prescription drug coverage. with no copays or deductibles on tier 1 prescriptions, and zero dollars for routine vaccines, including shingles, at in-network retail pharmacies. in fact, in 2021, humana medicare advantage prescription drug plan members saved an estimated $9,600 on average on their prescription costs. most humana medicare advantage plans have coverage for vision and hearing. and dental coverage that includes 's aleve - who do you take it for? >> is sometimes you just need to tear things down to build them back up, that seems to be the case with twitter. new documents obtained by the washington post reveal he plans. >> the social media giants workforce, musk, who previously put low performing workers on notice he told him he would get rid of nearly 75 percent of the twitter workforce, that would whittle it down from 7,500 to a skeleton staff of just over 2,000. the deal is scheduled to close by the end of next week. marika met twitter executives deny this is happening. he has made comments about bloat at twitter. we don't know where this stands, we do know at 2,000 skeleton staff, perhaps there would be things they do need to be censored. >> i think we talked a lot on the show about how i don't have a twitter account anymore, but have followed this closely because exactly to your point, i am concerned that if he cuts down on staff, twitter is already overrun with like you said, child pornography, hate, racism, violent threats, i'm sure all of us have received them on twitter, i'm concerned there won't be enough people to do that. i'm sure if i worked at twitter today i would be sending my resume out. >> there is that issue which of course child horribly run company. you look at facebook and google and social media platforms and their stocks have gone through the roof over the years and twitter has always petered along and that's because the revenues aren't there. but the fact that they are basically as super pack for the democratic party in 2020 if this doesn't get enough play, we became pyongyang. here is a legitimate story from the you have to change the culture and that means an overhaul of a lot of the employees that were behind this. >> i have total and complete confidence in elon musk. i think there is a line, but it's very clear that twitter is coming down on one side of that line. >> no doubt, and a lot of twitter employees said they would quit if elon musk but the company. it reminds me when people said they would move to canada if trump one, but people have built so i'm sure a lot of those employees are deleting that tweet. a lot of this if it does happen isn't just about releasing the replacing the old guard with the new. twitter spent 1.$5 billion last year on personnel. he does need employees that fact that as well or else someone is going to go rogue and you never know what's going to happen. he needs to trust people who work for him. elon musk owns tesla, space x, he is literally sending people to space and i think twitter is going to be the biggest headache for him out of all of his companies. forget you might have an internal investigation. there was some reporting from i believe bloomberg that one of the elements the biden administration may be looking at is twitter and see if he is, but basically foreign investors that our part of this deal and they may be scrutinizing this twitter deal. i personally don't have great confidence in the biden administration. >> i think these are
