>> like i said earlier with defund the police and now, we have chaos throughout the country -- >> it doesn't matter if you say we want to reallocate funds or we want to build up community programs. you're still taking money away from the boots on the ground who are, you know, in charge of maintaining law and order. i fear more my grandchildren. violence in schools, it's everywhere. >> so it rising crime terrorize cities across the krnghts you would think this could be a slam dunk for candidates. look we all have to take the l sometimes just admit progressive fail and help your constituents it is that simple but apparently that's just too much to ask even when you might be the democrat who finally flips new york red. anyone who commits crime under laws especially with change they made to bail has consequences i don't know why that's so important to you. all i know is that we can do more. joining me now elizabeth gomes recently attacked by homeless man in a subway station. elizabeth thank you so much for taking some time to talk to us. you may lose eyesight in you know of your eyes. you weren in public. qhases your reaction to what's happening not just in new york but all across the country. >> i mean, honestly what's happening right now in all over is pretty disgusting because you know, it is not right for people to wake up every day to have to be fearful of going to work or even go i think to the store even sitting down with their families. you know, or like for me for instance, i'm actually on the verge of losing my eyesight. they say i wongt see through my right eye again and get the cosmetic surgery going and hopefully swelling goes down soon but we shouldn't have to be going through stuff like this. it should be safer and people should wake up happy to be going to wherever it is they're going not fearful of walk with a weapon because that's what it will resolve into to find a way to protect ourself if -- these people aren't going to do it for us. >> this is same guy that attacked you that beat his grandmother to death and then you have -- our governor of new york saying she doesn't understand why the republican is making such a big deal about the crime issues. when you hear governor talking like that do you have any hope this issue will be resolved any time soon in? >> no of course not because we already see what they -- what they're no it is not going to get in the way we see what they're fighting for basically fighting to get richer and all of these kind of things because her talk was about how much she made for her -- for her presidential run all of these things so no you can tell that woact get nowhere. look how long it's been and nothing has been done yet so -- how long much more do we have to wait? you can tell nothing will get done. >> elizabeth if you have the opportunity to sit down with our leaders, i mean, they know your stories, obviously, but if you have opportunity to talk with them. what would you tell them? >> i would tell them it's a shame what's going on and way how you guys try to speak out that you're for the people and you're for all of us -- and yet you don't listen to the people because none came to see if i was okay even though they saw violent crime and never took that into consideration and they say that is not so serious and we're making a deal out of nothing. i can't see through my eyes i can't see no more. you know, and that's recklessness of what's going on in the political parties right now. that people innocent people like me have to go through things you know how hard it is to cope with every day i have glares in my eyes you know look i can't see. ing an this is what we have to keep going no we have to do what the people do like when we have jobs and if you're not doing the job right they get you out of there and that's what we need to see they're not doing their job right and change have to start with us. we're the boss in this and we have to get straight to it and see where it is going and votes other way because one way is not going you have to go thes other way. >> we view those were passionate words i hope new york isen willing to you. thank you so much. now let's bring in psychologist doctor lauren miller a friend of mine. doc thank you so much for joining me now one of the reasons i want toed to bring you on not just respect you as a doctor because you tell it like it is but you're also attorney as well. you see the criminal justice system an you also understand the science behind mental health. we've been hearing a lot about these people that are doing these violent acts they say it is a mental health crisis. so -- i ask you frankly is it mental health or is it just people just -- topght commit crimes more on cause harm. i can assure you anybody out committing offenses are not psychologically well and well adjusted and likely most if not all could be diagnosed with -- at least one diagnosis. but on that flipside of that, there are certainly plenty of mentally ill people who aren't violent who don't commit crimes. and we actually have plenty of statistics to suggest that people with severe mental illness more likely to be victim of violent crime than perpetrators. obviously there are cases such as apparently the man who attacked ms. gomes with a significant mental health history as well as criminal record. that certainly played into whatever motive he may have had for attacking her that day. but i think that mental health issue alone doesn't answer the question of why we're seeing an increase in these behaviors and to dove tale on some important point that ms. gomes brought up herself. this is more of a systemic issue. that because of movements like defunding the police, and very lax prosecutorial policies right now that that has allowed driem just explode and good citizens who were just trying to go to work and go about their lives are living in a state of fear and terror. >> it is just not right and we want people to get the health that they need but you can't go around terrorizing people doc thank you so much for being reasonable and giving us the science behind it all. so another major debate that happened this week was the pennsylvania race for senate between john fetterman and dr. oz debate may be difficult to watch at times but ultimately my thoughts aren't important but what matters is what the people of pennsylvania took away from it so i went down to county pennsylvania and i spoke those over the political spectrum so see what they thought about it. watch. >> i've been a live long democrat but i'm flipping to republican. i can no longer follow this parties. >> wow. absolutely not. >> welling you know i'm going kick it off with you what is number one issue for you and your family this election cycle? [laughter] >> i don't to go there. but i will just say this, donald trump was a good president. he did so much for this country. people did not vote on policy. they were looking at a person. and what he did for our military, our borders, bringing jobs back to america. we have the lowest inflation rate among everybody across the board. high employment rates, stock market through the ceiling. then joe biden comes in and basically tears it all down. >> we're meeting in the library in pennsylvania there's a great sign outside that says employers are looking for people that know how to do research not just google searches. what i feel like just heard was bunch of google searches. that are all bias based upon type of news that you like to listen to. >> immigration is -- is isn't a national security issue and there's washington or leaders in washington are doing things to address it. the previous president he did make a lot of strides to increase border security. hire more i.c.e. agents but this administration has done nothing for it and devise presidents are missing in action from the border. lawrence: number one issue facing you and your family and how diewrng the president is doing? >> the economy is the number one issue because where i live, our town is poverty since '9 9 when told to vote with china and we have a lot of factories in pottstown and they're going now. >> number one issue is absolutely the economy. i would like week to week. i would have a surplus leftover out of my paycheck but i would put aside -- for different things to play get tore i have two less balls, sweet. bought a gibson sg, sweet now looking at selling them because -- i'm living pay dhoak paycheck because the i'm a type two diabetic, and i have a very restrictive diet like i'll eat ramen noodles for a week wrangt do that anymore. i have to, you know, incorporate vegetables i have to incorporating things that are now like protein and meat and it is all very expensive. and part is price of gas and fuel. >> social number one issue. social justice not only a combination of the abortion but you know rights for all people. and basically i would like stay away from the labeling it is interesting i said i was a democrat and introduced ourselves as a party but reality is i think we should be voting for people who have the values that we subscribe to. >> so many things whether you're looking at economy, inflation, which is -- totally blame for -- belayed at the feet of our president. >> some of the issues you've talked a whole list of them, crime, inflation, but before i get deep into those issues we've got to talk about the debate. between oz and fetterman because that's a big deal. jill you're a republican. what did you think about the performance on the debate? >> well, obviously, oz won debate. but i think that fetterman should not have been forced into that position. i think he should be in a rehab that's helping a whole lot more. >> i think fetterman has been suggested -- had deplorable performance, i mean, it was -- i really question his ability to fulfill the role of the senator. >> kathleen. what do you think about the debate? >> oh, boy -- i actually feel sorry for him. the people in his inner circle people around him should never let that man even get next to a debate stage let alone run for the senate. i don't think he's physically fit. he wants to put up safe sites for heroin injection injectable sites and for relesioning the prisoners out of jail. i mean we need law and eared order in this country things are going so far off the rail i have so much sitting here it makes me so upset because this country is gone haywire. >> thousands of votes already cast and some people wish they had at the candidate on the ball lots. as a democrat that could take on oz -- do you believe they should have been transparent with where he was at that moment? >> would i want another candidate maybe and i probably would think so. but -- i'm -- i've met fetterman several times and he's a smart guy. he really truly is. and he does want to do good for the state so that's -- i would still vote for him. >> shawn. crime what's going wrong? >> the loopholes. loopholes -- lack of law and order in this country is just abysmal. >> kathleen what's going on? >> crime, wow -- like the wild, wild west in new york city. [laughter] you know my son works in mact and i fear what he goes in there he's video production he goes to the high end stores and stuff he does a lot of cosmetic companies and i fear when he tells me he has to go into the city. look what's happening in california. what a beautiful state -- i've been there many times my brother lived there when i go to california now like a third world country. >> it's not a crime issue it's a morality issue. it's a issue of hopelessness and morality you give people hope they won't commit crime basically a right is -- any action or inaction that does not harm another being. that is what's right. and if we all lived by that, if we did no harm to any other being -- including ourselves -- the problem is our government has done a lot of harm to towns around the krnghts. politics an jobs. we sending jobs to china, mexico, our town we have so much crime an we have so many people just walking homeless -- again because the factories are gone. >> more of the panel later joining me now former biden surrogate kevin and radio host tony katz gentlemen thank you all for joining ming to me toniu heard number one issue the economy. although for people that was on the left of the panel you heard social justice. reproductive justice is the top issues for them. >> well, that's what they say but that isn't what happens in the poll that's not what's happening on the ground. we have talked here on this show for the past two months about these crime issues and kevin will tell you about all of the money that democratic party has put into police and put into law enforcement and yet it still the top issue because nobody feels it. because it is not the story the lax policies of proximate results, the inability to actually go after criminals. unwillingness to go after criminals. avoiding the subject altogether same thing is true with inflation. the president of the united states, joe biden tells you that the economy is strong as hell his words not mine. but everybody lives in a different reality that detachment of the progressive party of the democratic party is why you are seeing this unbelievable swing towards the republicans in states all across the country. lawrence: so i have to go to you kevin because there is some sort of swing. does the point that tony make does that resonate with you or do you think the swing is happening for different reason? >> yeah. i think lawrence the point that tony made about the economy -- i yo a piece at fox news digital this past twheek in thes need to focus on inflation and the economy, and speak to the concerns that voters have every day when they go to the -- food store when they fill up their tanks and talk about good things they're dong to address those concerns. putting more money in the hands of american when is it comes to energy bills. when it comes to prescription drug cost because this election will be decided on this state of the economy, on the state of the job market and state of inflation but we've got to listen to vote you've been having great panels i hope every elect ands candidate slning to them although the panel last week in mil was milwaukee because if candidates aren't listening to voters we'll be short trm be republicans or democrats. lawrence: about time they listen to american people. tony -- tony -- you know i brought up fetterman deangt you know, we all saw what took place there but i can't go past the concealment of his condition -- before the primary was over, and now we see what it is, it is not fair to democratic voters they don't have a strong candidate. they're upset. >> to the democratic party if the democratic hear the hates the voter how am i supposed to fix this problem or you and any of us and we should be clear that it is hate. senator bob casey said that at the fetterman will be a great senator and joe biden said he's pennsylvania. but americans look at this and it seems to me that pennsylvania is looking at when you speak to people like radio host of philadelphia and others that the feather man family doesn't like him and democratic party doesn't like him and they certainly don't give a give a bhoally damn about his ht it is obscene with that debate with dr. oz it is obscene allowing man not okay which is fine by the way, you don't have to be okay after a stroke it is unbelievable they're running hem and want to talk about the fact that he's okay. he's not okay. say soars a lie. >> isn't that true, though. they're xmghting this man to be superman. i mean, it is just not going happen and it is very clear, i mean, it is one thing to disagree with the man's policies which a lot of voters do and some people support it. but he didn't even have a proper chance to defend himself because he can't communicate to american people yets. >> well listen lawrence we're watching lawrence governor recover from a stroke in the public eye that's a difficult thing but listen i heard kathy's voice in your panel in redding, pennsylvania she said i met the lieutenant governor many times i know what he stands for and i know he's an intelligent man he's on the road to recovery. he is will be back to near 100% by time the new senate is sworn in in january. and -- voters will be the determining factor whether he goes to washington. but they know this lieutenant govan they don't know dr. oz from adam just from his tv show that he was on. >> i think this is important for audience to know she also followed it up by saying shoos going to be upset if this is the reason because she -- she believes she should have known about his health and if this is the reason that he does not win -- she's going to be upset they lied to the vote -- i think they should have more respect for the voters -- it is important that we have strong candidate and both political party in the fact that the party once again -- concealed that from the american people i think it is awful. anyway i'm out of time gentlemen i'll have y'all back next week. see y'all. we'll be in atlanta next week sending us e-mail at fox.com we would love to have you back. congress plans to properly investigate hunter biden corrupt business deal and if the gop takes control -- after the midterm -- that's next on cross country. don't go anywhere. we help americans invest for their future. and help communities thrive. welcome back to cross country do you want to know how you can tell things are looking bad for hunter bide and people like joe stewart are calling out hunter for shady back room deals. watch. hunter biden being on the board of burisma. burisma. that's right burisma. to me that's corruption straight up off the bat. >> corruption. now republicans have promised a full investigation into hunter crooked business dealings and any corruption going on in biden world if they take control of the house or the senate after the midterms. joining me now to outline what those investigations may look like ranking member of the representative james comeyer thank you so much for joining the program now i heard a lot of promises from republicans over years. outline what that looks like. >> well, we're going to one week after the election we're coming back to washington for the lake duck session house oversight committee will be transparent with american people on the work we've done thus far and we're going outline exactly what we've uncovered thus far, pertaining hunter biden business dealings and suspicious activity on behalf of the president brothers we're also going to reshow to the american people that outside of the conservative media they've seen text messages e-mails that show that hunter said to numerous people that he kept his father up. he was sick and tired of having to pay for lives expensions of his father which kind of would leave one to believe that joe biden has benefited directly from hunter shady business dealings. >> does hunter testify before thes oversight committee that's biden brother testify, i mean, what we're seeing a lot of investigations right now where january 6th all of this so who comes to capitol hill and talks to the american people? >> we're going to ask for hunter biden to come and probably receive a subpoena we're going ask the president brothers to come but at the very beginning we know that we're going to have several depositions. we're going to have several transcribe interviews and we want to talk to bankers that issue suspicious activity report to the bank violation to hunter biden we have former associate of hunter bide about volunteer to do transcribe intufs with us so we're going start there. s we plan on having first hearing some time in mid-january. we need to do a little more background information. remember i've requested these bank violations for several months. the last time treasury department janet yellen sent me a letter saying that what she couldn't give to us because we weren't in the majority well a letters on november 9th saying you haven't heard republicans will be in majority in i can so now we expect those bank violations once we have those bank violations and i have two -- of the 150 right now i can tell you they're really bad lawrence. we don't have to prove the hunter biden is a shady business character i think american people thongs. they're going tore more people like jon stewart come forward and throwing hunter under bus after the disastrous midterms that democrats will have. we're investigate hunter biden because we believe he's compromised joe biden and try to determine whether or not joe biden benefited directly from hunter biden shady business dealings and from hunter biden influence pengtd pending and there are on the left that say that joe biden was very involved in his business dealings and he had to pay for every day living expenses of joe biden so this is a very serious concern. >> i tell you what this audience is aware of what's been taking place. we know the case against hunter biden and joe biden. what they want to see and this is something that we're going follow-up with you after the midterms, if the republicans are going to take use of that power and actually do something about it. unfortunately i'm short on time sir thank you so much for coming on tonight. now let's go to baltimore former marine is heading to court in the case that is sparking nationwide outrage. vrches arrested over a firearm technicality after he successfully disarmed a would be attacker. watch. honorably served as a accomplish marine now a self-defense instructor who gives back to his community through hi church and if justice system were to have his way he may soon be over possession of a firearm for which he has a conceal carry permit from home state of virginia as he was pick up female from a fourth of july party he saw another shove and pistol whip him in the heads before threatening to kill everyone inside. training took over he charged would be attacker and took him down with an ankle sweep before he could hurt anyone else. but when the police arrived on the scene they're arrested lloyd charge him with a weapon violation even though his gun was never used in the altercation. now facing a maximum penalty of one year in prison, and a thousand dollar fine, i intoak lloyd about what happened that night. >> i immediately upon interacting and engaging with the plfer i told them that i had my firearm concealed on my hip. and that i couldn't have a concealed virginia carry permit and at that time they asked me okay where's it, i told them again it was on my hip, and then he asked me to move my jacket and take it off at that time if i've never mentioned pistol i would have been a free man. watching footage first responders were defending you cops, paramedics they didn't want you to go to jail they were like why are we arresting him such as dialogue there -- that leaves me now you're being charged right now -- >> yes, sir. >> going through the process why not take the plea deal? >> no, sir. no, sir i serve a mightsy god and whether he convicts me rather be judged business jury of 12 than 6. plea deal -- it is not acceptable it is unconstitutional i think as well. >> day-to-day are the citizens of baltimore safe? >> no, sir. >> anyone coming to the city they can see where the crime is they can see where the problem is it is visible it is not hissen it is not hidden it is invisible. they're putting crams up and systems into place and they're trying their best but it's oven you're not putting them in the right places police officers do a great job, you know, they really do and it is a hard task but it is not a community relationship. >> if you can do it all over again and you realize these consequences will take place would you do it again? >> absolutely lawrence i would in a heart beat i'm petrified of being isolated in a jail cell but i'll do that one year honorably one year because i know that god i serve has really truly put me in that place for a reason. >> so just so we're clear, if he doesn't stop this guy, people potentially die in that club. and they want to ace him and throw him behind bars lloyd scheduled to appear in the circuit court and keep an eye on this story. up next we started talking about abortion. things got real heated in our pennsylvania focus group. you don't want to miss it after the break. this isn't just freight. these aren't just shipments. they're promises. big promises. small promises. cuddly shaped promises. each with a time and a place they've been promised to be. and the people of old dominion never turn away a promise. or over promise. or make an empty promise. we keep them. a promise is everything to old dominion, because it means everything to you. lawrence: welcome back to cross country so focus group in pennsylvania wungts only fired up or crime. other issues like abortion, became a hot topic. watch. i'm pro-life, and i'm proud to say that, you know, i believe in certain kirks a woman is raped and incest in a family then you have to converse with your doctor and find out what's going to happen down the road that's a personal thing right then and there those decisions could impact a person's life. that's different but to just go out get pregnant discard a baby. no thank you. >> i don't think it is a discarding a baby. and when you stop to think about an abortion pill, is like 150 to 200 bucks medical procedure to have abortion can cost several thousand dollars cost to have a child is $13,000. you put someone who was living below poverty level which by the way 47% of the people who have had abortions in the last few years live below poverty level. you put somebody who is living at that level requiring bill of 13,000 low poverty before much further below pofert. >> what do you say to kids like me because my mom pregnant at 16 and a lot peopled her financial decisions but you know -- >> what would i say to her -- >> her name? >> i would say it's your choice. >> i'm youngest person on national tv so we my dad married her but she had people there -- family to support her as well. so if that was your -- >> i understand about choice and i understand but something rings when i hear a financial decision of someone like me not being tiebl exist. >> i cannot say have an abortion based on a financial decision i said the decision is the woman's. that is the woman's -- i'm talking about the economic impact to america if, in fact, abortion is banned. >> i guess my question are babies more than just dollar signs? >> of course they are. >> people that normally make financial decisions are black mothers. and which is why the leading cause of death for black children is abortion -- and it's typically my race that are black and brown that are ones that are aborted and strictly based on financial decision so i wonder as a democrat does that concern you? >> as a human being, it concerns me that anyone thinks that they have the right to tell a woman whether she can or cannot have an abortion. so what i am personally affronted by is the fact that we're projecting what one group of people thinks is right and projecting it on to others. judgment not just religion our law states someone murders pretty woman it is a double homicide. two people are murdered. >> two. it is not just religion it is the law. >> in which case republicans should be against capital punishment and i heard haven't anything along those lines you can't have it both ways. >> i don't my taxpayer going and john fetterman be a 51st vote which joe biden historyically was for until recently. >> jim. basic question is it a human being or not? and i think the religion really attack out of the equation if it is a person it is entitled to protection of the law under our constitution and laws, and to say that it is just a blob of tissue or treated leak a blob of tissue is just totally wrong it is morally wrong. it is wrong under our law. you don't kill you have no right to kill somebody else another personal for your own benefit. it's just -- i think that begs the question of is it a child. is it a person or not a person? lawrence: spirited conversation next week atlanta dangerous drugs coming to continue to flow across the southern border. warning about what to look out for -- that's next. e. fail. no one crossinged border. telling parents to be on alert after the drug was found hidden in candy wrearps joining me latest with the drug war at the u.s.-mexico border. fox news contributor sarah carter and friend of mine so sarah tell me what's happening here. i mean should parents be concerned? >> well i think parents need to be aware and they need to be concerned. just because of the fact that the drug cartels are moving so much fentanyl into our country and trying to disguise it in candy whether it's in whoppers pacts or skittles packets or for example, using disney characters on the front of bags like recently in california, with this seizure of pect fentanyl with toy story on front of the bags attractive to children and even if the children are not the intended target which i do believe they are and as far as like addiction rates, they could take them. accidentally if they find them they're at someone's house a neighbor's house we just don't know. the one thing i think lawrence we have to be concerned about here is that the dea literally ceased 36 million individual doses of fentanyl tablets between may and september of this year alone. 40% of those tablets i want you to think about this -- have enough fentanyl in each individual tablet to literally kill a grown man. so if you're a child or anyone in your family gets ahold of one of these pills and takes them there's a good chance they will die like playing russian roulette to make matters worse the chinese government is well aware that they are sending precursor chemicals to mexico. that allowing the drug cartels to use these precursors to manufacture fentanyl to manufacture methamphetamine, i call it and i talked to people dark horse podcast about this u.s. intelligence as well as law enforcement, irregular warfare against the united states because here we have an adversary taking advantage of our open border -- a crazy chaotic border that our law enforcement officials can't gain ahold of because bideen administration refuse to do its job refuses to do its job and protect american people. so yes an answer to your question long story short parents be aware everyone needs to be aware, do not take a pill. any pill even if you think it is a percocet an oxy cotsen, adderall do not take it if doctor did not prescribe it to you you could literally be taking your own life. >> other side, they're winning. i mean, cartel is winning listen maybe it has because my parents come from old school stop being friends with your kids go rip up the bedroom diewpght your kids to live you have to figure out what's going on there. just because they tell you one thing doesn't mean it is true. you can save their life. >> absolutely lawrence you have a great point and amazing panel earlier i was listening to your story your mom had you when she was 16. i came from, you know, a poor family, i mean, a lot of us do. but our families, our families parents are not supposed to be our friends but protect us and we need to start protecting our children right now. these are our most precious treasures, our babies, and we need to get out there, we need to protect them and tell governments enough is enough we're not going to put up with it anymore we're going target you and be offensive not defensive anymore and i hope everyone has a happy halloween. just remember, just look at what your kids have in their candy make sure to teach them not to take anything from somebody they don't know or taking pills and that goes for adults too. we're all to blame as well. you know, for this situation so -- yeah we really need to just pay attention and really be on the offensive i believe that and we can save our nation if we do that. glans sarah was talking about this story before covering the border for a long
