I can give you my heart. I think it was that which made Great Britain grade. She literally was a role model to Heads Of State All Around The World. Disagree from time to time, but we must always remain. Queen elizabeth ii for the longest reigning in british history. We come together so that freedom works. They go the queen being widely remembered as the nations grandmother. Its not a part of our past. It defines our present and our future. Piers Thousands Lining The Streets Of London to say a final goodbye. My mother gave an example of lifelong love and of Selfless Service. We have not seen scenes like this on a scale in britain since Winston Churchill. I thank you all and many others at home and overseas for your touching messages of great kindness. Martha good morning, everyone and welcome to our coverage of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth ii. United kingdoms longest reigning on the throne and end of an arrow from the world from world war ii to the coronation of a young princess. She was guided by Winston Churchill, then gave counsel herself to younger Prime Ministers. The world watched her transform from stunning bride to working mother to grandmother of the nation from country woman to regal bearing, she was a constant here and Around The World. Unchanging and yet moving forward through good times and bad. She embodied the Steadfastness Of The Greatest Generation and the optimism and hope he did get through the pandemic when she assured her kingdom, we will be together again. Good morning, again, everybody. Im so glad to be joined by this Terrific Team of piers morgan and Ainsley Earhardt as we set the stage at the funeral of the likes the world has not seen and will likely not see again. It is great to be with with both of you and it seemed shut dont make such a short time ago. We were in bright colors but now today in dark colors for this solemn but really important, historical occasion. It is Great To Be With You both. Here are your thoughts as we get started . Piers incredibly moved already by what is happening behind us because the scene three months ago, the other side over there one of euphoria and celebration of this amazing grade. And just now real silence. And people want to pay respects. I think there will be a celebration that Today Is The Day Great Britain says goodbye and not just to our greatest monarch, but i would argue the greatest monarch of any country. Certainly, we have never seen the world what is going to happen the day before, even Winston Churchills funeral two months before i was born 57 years ago. 1965. Even that will not be on the scale of what we see today. This is the greatest gathering of world figures the planet has probably ever seen. Quite rightly, in my opinion, because this woman was the greatest of all the mon monarchs. Ainsley you know, i was watching one of the stations last night as i was trying to fall asleep. They continuously showed video of her and sound bites throughout the years in Classical Music. Of all of the images. I thought about you, piers, you said youd shed a few tears when you learn she died september 8th. My eyes started to get teary because i think even though shes not my monarch, i love what she represents. I love she has sought to make such a constant. Her god meant everything to her, a duty of country and left her children months at a time. No mother wants to do that but she went to serve her country like military, like an individual in the military would do. Even when her children got into some trouble and her husband a little mischievous, she was constant and state and just stayed and plowed through and never let it bother her in the open. She was so dignified and so full of grace and classy. Martha, you have been following her so long. What is going through your mind . You have been here 12 days and the 12 days of covering it. Martha i think this morning has a weight to with that is very profound, because you are sating. We are watching people file into Westminster Abbey. Westminster abbey will be the first place that we really watch this Funeral Service play out this morning. Im struck by also what piers was saying, last night 250 Heads Of State from all around the globe. I think it is just worth everyone letting that sink in that this is probably the largest gathering of Heads Of State that any of us will ever see, the largest Head Of State and times. Why is that . Why does this passing draw people from All Around The World . Because they admired her. As we said in that piece, want to emulate her as a leadership role model. Martha dome xp when longevity, she was 26 years old but think about that. I have a son two years older, three years older and i think i cant imagine what it must have been like. She was propelled into this position out of nowhere when her father, he died in early 50s. They have this young princess who with her uncles and the king would never imagine in a million years within a short period of time that she would be the monarch. The next 70 years, she reigned without a foot long. How many can go a week without a foot wrong . This woman went 70 years. That is why there has been this global outpouring of respect whether you believe in the idea of monarchy or not, everybody respected this woman for what she stood for and the values you mentioned. Which i talked about this last week stoicism, just get on with that humility. And putting the people before herself. The country before herself, service, duty, these are the great values that made Great Britain a great country. The great passing, the country has had a moment to stop and reflect on what she means and what her values are. I think when you saw the queue, i think i can use that phrase now and spent many years trying to explain, we now know even in america, the cues which has been the greatest q and i think the world has ever seen. And it was 4 miles and miles and miles through london, hundreds of thousands of people. What were they doing . They were queuing nine, ten, 15, 16 hours in pretty cold conditions overnight to spend a few seconds in front of her majesty Queen Elizabeth ii which is to nod and show respects. I cant give anybody in modern times who has ever had that response. This is a moment in history. We had 13 months ago, to celebrate the longest reign. Today we have the goodbye. I have to say when the procession comes past here in a few hours time after the funeral, it will be an incredibly moving moment because that will be the last time i and all of these people here will ever see a great queen. Martha it is stunning. A few short months ago, we were all together and watched her come out on the balcony at the very beginning of the celebration and at the end. It is so good given the outpouring we have seen that she got to see that devotion that it was all spilling out as it is now and at that time as well. She got to witness the outpouring and all the fun, the concert, her face across different generations. She saw that absolutely. Piers and how grateful the nation was for what she did. Im so glad she managed to hang on because people were worried. She made the Jubilee Celebrations and she did. She made everything. Even two days before she died, she was there to submit the new Prime Minister coming in. Martha she worked until the very last minute of her life. Piers she put duty first. Martha she said my whole life, she meant it because she literally worked on tuesday and passed on thursday. Ainsley she said that in her 20s, 63 years, seven months two days for Queen Victoria at 18 years old, Queen Elizabeth 70 years, 214 days. The longestserving monarch that britain has ever seen. And there is youve heard the saying, i want to be a proverbs 31 woman. I think this is why people in america say they are spending 12 days to bury her. She gave us 70 years, we can give her 12 days. But in america, if you are watching and you dont understand why it take so long and why all the pomp and circumstance, if you are here you understand. If you studied her life, she was a proverbs 31 woman, All Around The World people strive to be. She was righteous. She always did the right thing, even when situations might have looked bad, she held it together and she was just always constant into the right thing and was a righteous person. Piers she was. I remember the pandemic, for example, early on gripped in fear from this unknown Virus Killing Thousands and thousands of people every day. They were all worried. We were on lock down and nobody knew what was going on. And she on National Television and she only spoke for a few minutes, four or 5 minutes. But it was poetry. And in those four or 5 minutes, she managed to calm everybody down. We have been through worse, world war ii. She was a young girl who came through that. I know we are separated from each other from friends and family but We Will Meet Again. And saying We Will Meet Again. The queen said those words very deliberate taking us back to world war ii. We will survive and come through. The nation was confident. When American Friends supported the monarchy, i would point to that and say that right there is the primary function, Head Of State, celebrating when we want to, but also really desperate times to say we will be fine. And ive always taken great comfort from that. The queen was an amazing woman and managing to calm everything down. And make you think that its all going to be okay. And now we have lost her. It will be a huge loss to the country. Martha you think back to world war ii and an existential threat to the United Kingdom. And she and her family, Buckingham Palace behind us was bombed. Her mother went outside with her father, King George Vi and walked in the rubble and basically told everyone, we will persevere and go one. The United Kingdom will survive world war ii. To wrap around that message We Will Meet Again a famous song and world war ii to remind that the soldiers would come home and have that parallels was really beautiful. Ainsley the queen mother was trying to get an eyelash out of the kings i when they were in the bathroom where the bedroom where ever they were and came through a bomb almost hit them. And the children at Windsor Castle were separated from their parents through the war because the parents wanted to stay here as a sign we are staying with the people and we are one with the people. They did so with the children out. They were taught by different tutors. Piers institutional that they stayed with the king. By doing that, again, showed the depths of duty and service. Three times the palace was bombed and they never left. They wanted to stay in london and they wanted to stay here and be a part of what was going on despite great risk to their allies. We remember what they did. We remember what the queen did for many centuries to come. Piers it is something the people in the United States do as well Great Respect for world war ii veterans and Great Respect for the special alliance between the United Kingdom and england, fdr, Winston Churchill. Those are lines that run deep between both countries. I think people admire the queen so much and her family for the strength they showed in that time. I want to go out to jonathan hunt, who is with us throughout the course of this week. It has been great to have him with us. He is giving us a look what we can expect when the funeral gets underway this morning. Hi, jonathan. Martha, Great To Be With You. And throughout the 12 days that unite. And i want to pick up first what you and ainsley were talking about the queen brought to this nation. She spent 70 years, obviously, unifying the kingdom, the United Kingdom and the commonwealth. And it struck me over the last few days as we talked to so many people waiting so long in these lines to pay their last respects to file through Westminster Hall. How many of those people have no idea who they were standing next to for the first few minutes of their up to 24 hours in line . But within minutes, they were talking, making friendships and so many lifelong friendships have been made as a people lined up over four days to say a final goodbye to the queen. I think it is extraordinary to note the queen unified this country in life, and now, she is unifying so many people in death. We are back an hour and 20 minutes now from the ceremonies getting underway. We will begin with the queens coffin being placed onto a gun carriage. It will then be taken from Westminster Hall, where she has been lying in state to the west door of Westminster Abbey. This will be an extraordinary site, martha. The gun carriage will be polled using a rope system. It is 123yearold gun carriage. If the ropes operated by 98 sailors of the royal navy. That is a traditional, by the way, dates back to the funeral of Queen Victoria. Of course, walking behind will be king charles and other members of the royal family, including the princes of william and harry. So we are about to see a quite remarkable State Funeral unfold here. A remarkable tribute to a remarkable woman who did so much for this country over seven decades. It will be very interesting. This is obviously a day of celebrating the life of Queen Elizabeth ii. But if its also one to begin asking questions about what sort of king charles will be . He has a lot of challenges ahead of him. And everybody has been deeply respectful with good reason over the last 12 days or so, i dont think it will be long before you start hearing the questions about scotland for instance. Will it be another Independence Referendum . What is australia going to do . Its membership of the commonwealth . Other nations as well will begin to question things. Quite frankly, king charles does not have the power, obviously the personality that the queen had. So we had a very interesting future, but to date obviously come all about saying goodbye to Queen Elizabeth ii, martha. Martha jonathan thank you very much. The funeral for Queen Elizabeth ii will begin 6 00 a. M. Eastern, 11 00 a. M. Here in the u. K. And we will bring you live special coverage all morning long. Piers up next, buried with her majesty and a special value each propel for her. Martha plus, with the queens passing end the royal riff for Prince William and Harry Reuniting in in the in mo . I would like to ask you all whatever your religion may be to pray for me on that day, to pray that god may give me wisdom and strength to carry out the promises that i shall be making. And that i may faithfully serve him and you all the days of my life. Millions have made the switch from the big three to xfinity mobile. Queen elizabeth ii was born into the Windsor Family on apri. At birth is the oldest daughter of the duke and duchess of york and niece to the king, no one expected little Elizabeth Alexandra would be the longestserving and one of the most respected rulers of Great Britain. But a love story would transform her quiet country childhood into an altogether different testimony and elizabeths uncle Prince Edward abdicated asking to marry the american divorce elizabeth simpson. Elizabeths father reluctantly took the throne in 1936 making his oldest and then 10yearold daughter elizabeth his error to the throne. At age 14, at the homeschool princess began to take on some royal duties. Her family was an outward expression of strength and resilience as england was battered by the blitz in world war ii. In 1945 at age 18, the young princess trained as a driver and mechanic and felt the womans auxiliary surface she entered margaret and later joined those celebrating on The Streets Of London like thousands of others, she also had a sweetheart in the armed forces. Her third cousin, Prince Philip, of greece. They were engaged to be married shortly after the 21st birthday. The royal family held November 1947 in londons Westminster Abbey brightened the gloom of those postwar years. The following year, the couples first child charles the Prince Of Wales was born and followed by princess anna 1950, andrew in 1959, and edward in 1963. But in 1952, while in kenya with Prince Philip, Elizabeth Learned the tragic news that her beloved father, the king, had died. In an instant, the 25yearold became the queen of england. At my coronation, i shall bid to take myself anew to your service. Martha elizabeth was to rule in a new era. Her coronation and all of its splendor was the first to be broadcast on television has millions around the globe watched the transformation as it happened. In 1957, Queen Elizabeth met president eisenhower. She would go on to meet every u. S. President during her reign except lyndon johnson. She often spoke of the strong and vital bond between america and the u. K. With the 1980s came Turbulent Times for the royal family has the marriages of three of the queens children fell apart, all under the scrutiny of relentless coverage and tabloid headlines. In 1997, diana, princess of wales and mother to the Princes William and harry was killed in a car crash in france as she was hounded by the paparazzi. At the time, the queen was criticized for her reserved response and persuaded to make an unprecedented live broadcast. What i say to you now as your queen and as a grandmother, i say from my heart. First, i want to pay tribute to diana myself. She was an exceptional and gifted human being. Martha over time, the Monarchies Reputation rebounded. In april 2011, the queen attend Prince Williams wedding to Kate Middleton as 2 billion people Around The World watched the ceremony. She also made a historic visit to the ireland, the first british monarch to do so in almost a century, a step toward healing a long and painful divide. The following year at the country turned out in force to celebrate Queen Elizabeths 60 year reign. A Diamond Jubilee celebration spanning four days. Thousands lined the banks of the post led by the queen and made its way down the river. The worst of british weather tried but failed to dampen the mood and 86yearold queen and 90yearold Prince Philip stood sidebyside for the four our ceremony. Queen elizabeth end of the celebration by thanking the nation for honoring her. I will continue to treasure and draw inspiration from the kindness shown to meet in this country and throughout the commonwealth. Thank you all. Martha in 2013, at the queen welcomed her third greatgrandchild the much anticipated Prince George son of William And Kate. All these years later, another george is now second in line to the british throne. His younger sister Princess Charlotte is third. She was born in 2015, and later that year, Queen Elizabeth became the longest reigning monarch overtaking her greatgreatgrandmother victoria. In 2016, the queen celebrated her 90th birthday a four day event honoring the involvement with the armed forces and giving the nation a chance to celebrate her life. 2018, the queen watched on as prince Harry Married the american actress Meghan Markle. In a ceremony that brought glamour and hollywood royalty to the house of windsor and let them firmly into the 21st century. But about a year later, harry and meghan would famously decide to leave the royal family, moved to america, and give a tellall interview to Oprah Winfrey which cause deep divisions within the family. In 2021, the queens beloved husband Prince Philip died at the age of 99. The nation warned the queen but covid restrictions kept the funeral small. The image of the queen sitting mast and alone became the image of a country both in the morning and in the lockdown. But as she has so many times before, the queen persevered. And the very next morning, she became the first british monarch to celebrate a platinum jubilee, marking her 70 years of service. Her family and her people together for one final celebration for a One Of A Kind king. From an early age, Queen Elizabeth was one of the most recognized royals and recognize Women In The World and nearly a third of the planet lived in the commonwealth that she ruled. She managed to combine the truly regal of the country womans Simple Pleasures and invited old Fashion Values and virtue, faith, selfrestraint. Honoring to the end the pledge she made when she was just 21. I declare before you all, to my life whether long or short shall be devoted to your service into the service of our Great Imperial family to which we all belong. Martha so we look back at the life of Queen Elizabeth ii and as we get ready for the funeral now come a little less than an hour and a half away, all of the dignitaries finding their way to Westminster Abbey, but it seems like some are getting stuck in traffic. Piers i said it was a unprecedented historic event. The beast, the cadillac is apparently stuck in traffic is what we are hearing. And so before he went to the surface, the beast is finally actually meant of london traffic. And hoping to be free in time for the surface. Martha this is when he wishes he had taken the bus. Piers it will be worked out. By all of the Viewing Areas around the entire place now are closed. So, that means there are a lot of people here. In the segway coming if you are in the u. K. Martha everybody moving into the abbey. You have this massive lockdown because you have all of these foreign leaders trying to move into this building. The biggest security undertaken in british history. Ainsley yes, it is and i will give at those numbers. 10,000 local Police Officers, National Police officers around the u. K. Have come here to make sure they are helping the local Police Officers and 500 dignitaries to protect here. They did a rough run through yesterday. Than some final runthroughs and they said they are taking a whole range of different scenarios from terrorism, unfortunately, we are hoping that does not happen. And crime to make sure the queens coffin is safe in the royal family is safe. 2 Million People expected in london. Piers the elite British Military in plainclothes Milling Around with the public. And obviously a huge event with a lot of important people. And i have to say and i dont know but for a while now, the logistics of this from start to finish have been absolutely extraordinary. It has gone off literally like clockwork morning, noon, and night for decades. Martha we were walking over here to the event from the hotel, i had a water bottle andi was going to throw it away and there were no trash cans and they said because they have taken the trash cans away because they are worried about moms. To the apple because of this event . Piers and the boston marathon, obviously. People Milling Around can put anything anywhere. So what you dont want is any kind of trash can, even if it is a protected one where you can put something in. So they were taking no chances. But in addition to the police, there are 10,000 military, 6,000 physically involved in the procession alone. So there was a lot of military here. Remember all of the military that you see, these are highly trained military. Martha they are not for decoration. Piers they are not for decoration. If anyone is stupid enough, you are dealing with the absolute delete British Armed forces, to other regiments. These are the finest of the finest. And you have all of the police and the sas. Which i would imagine is the greatest security exercise, never mind anything else, the country has ever seen. Martha lets bring in Ingrid Seward who is joining us as we continue coverage this morning. She has been with us throughout the course of this week. Of course, the queens coffin we have seen lying in state. The imperial crown on top of it, or an sector have been very much on camera throughout the course of this. The crown jewels are one of the things that people love to see when they come to Great Britain. Majesty editor and biographer Ingrid Seward, great to have you with us. One of the things that caught our attention was that the queen would be buried and she will be buried alongside her husband, Prince Philip. That she would be wearing only her wedding band, her engagement band, which are made of welch gold. Very simple Pearl Earrings with a diamond on them that she really has worn throughout much of her life. She will not have any other jewels buried with her. What do you think about that . Well, she is not a pharaoh. The queen, her faith is a very simple faith. She wouldnt want to go to her grave adorned in jewelry. And also, she is very practical being, having scottish blood and being brought up by scottish daddy. So she hates waist and obviously the queen will wear her wedding band, which is made of welch gold but that is in a historic item. I would be surprised if she would wear any other jewelry at all. Perhaps simple Pearl Earrings given to her by her father. But she would consider really sort of not a great thing to do with her simple Christian Faith. She really feels shes quite happy to be lying there just as herself in a simple dress. Martha we know that she has already given some of her jewels to the new princess of wales. I think we have some images of kate the other day wearing a brooch at Westminster Hall that was given to her by Queen Elizabeth. We can take a look at that in a moment. Also, her very famous there it is on the top right of your screen also her famous double strand of pearls that the queen or very often. We also saw the princess of wales and those the other day as well at one of the receptions. Obviously, like the mother, and mother, motherinlaw, she wants to pass these things along to her family. Yes, those pearls were given to her by her father. And she has the most amazing collection as you just said, of personal jewelry. In her wishes to pass it on to her children, her daughter, her greatgrandchildren. So it will stay within the family. Of course, there are the crown jewels which are quite different. But her personal collection is huge because over 70 years, she has also been gifted so many brooches rings, necklaces as well as the Original Will Collection which was huge. Martha Ingrid Seward, thank you very much. Glad to help you with us this morning. We will check back in in a little while. Ainsley after two year hiatus, the royal family reunited as they are all mourning the death of Queen Elizabeth ii, but will this truth out this the queens funeral as macon and here he prepared to release that tell all men more that reports they will cover the moments leading up to their decision to take a step back from the royal duties . Joining us now to discuss this is former royal editor of the sun and author of prince harry, the inside story, duncan lark home. Good morning to you. Ainsley think you for coming on but do you think this will prepare the relationship and what about the children having the titles of prince or princess . Will that happen . They are waiting until the morning period to discuss that. Yes, that is one of the undercurrents of what you are seeing here because this week, but as you say, two years, more than two years, the unhappiness for the duke and duchess of sussex has laid bare. And even a few days before meghan and harry do to come to britain to make a first visit here is a couple, overtaken from the death and very rapid deterioration of the queen. Even then, there was a sense before she came here, meghan had reunited with her series of podcasts, Serena Williams and mariah carey where it seems criticisms to the royal family and the bitterness was still there. We dont know if it is the truth, but we do know it is king Charles First Speech. What did he do . He made a point of mentioning only a few people but he mentioned meghan and harry by name and he talked about his love for them. I was really the only event we have seen of them all back together but a long way of feeling like the old days. There are really serious issues Behind The Scenes with those members of the royal family. We just have to hope that now the queen has died and the family has come together that some of those conversations have been had. That there is a healing. But we simply dont know. Harrys book is coming out and meghan has her podcasts. Who knows what they will do next. The ball is in their court now. Piers yeah, duncan, we will be following this but not for drama. You have been quite keen too but the bottom line is it is hard to ignore them. You have a renegade royal Family Living in america, trying to be like a second version of the royal family without performing any public duties to go with that job, but making themselves rich in the process is bad. Wanting their royal cake and eat it is a problem and why the popularity of this country is falling so low. There have been some moments of the past week where you could, i think, argue and have sympathy with prince harry because of the different way he has been treated to his disgraced uncle Prince Andrew. There were two examples of this. One, andrew was going to be allowed to wear his uniform. I thought that was wrong. And then eventually they decided harry could wear the final vigil around his grandmothers coffin. But also the fact when he was wearing his uniform, he didnt have the e. R. A. Insignia on his shifts shoulder which was of course the queen. But andrew was to wear his. But i didnt have sympathy for both and appeared to be treated in a less favorable way then his uncle andrew, who in my opinion, has done more damage actually to the reputation of the royal family with the settlement of that also. Yes, that is right, piers. Absolutely spot on really. People were slightly confused why Prince Andrew seemingly given better treatment then harry went harrys decision, look, i dont want to be a part of the fulltime Working Royals anymore. Yes, hes gone off and effectively sold the family for millions of pounds, but lets not forget, piers, we will both remember and im sure the viewers will remember that after the queen. Before harry met meghan, he was the most popular of her majesty. And now, he has slipped right down in the polls. But people still want to love prince harry. So i think he will go away from this. He hasnt been treated brilliantly. Fair play to and meghan so far, they really have acted and done everything asked of them. I think we need to give them a little bit of credit. The question is, what will they do when they go back to california . Piers that is the big concern. I know this from senior sources at the palace that they were extremely concerned about what may be of this book, which is a tellall book and harry to set the record straight. It is one thing to do and apparently to criticize his father and his fathers wife camilla, the queen consort. In the previous capacity of the Prince Of Wales and his wife, but this book criticizes the new monarch and his queen consort, then i think it will be hugely, hugely damaging. That is what the big issue will be for the royal family here. How can we trust them . I dont think there has been in a conversation for any of them. They have done their duty in public. But im told it is pretty icy Behind The Scenes. The reason is the royal family do not know what is going to be in this book. It could be absolutely expl explosive. I think one more thing on that, which you are actually right, meghan and harry has been treated this week. But lets be honest, if you have all the royals in the time of grief, real raw emotion. The last thing is they want a couple in the rump that make go on the Oprah Winfrey show in a months time and explain what Prince Charles said. Once that trust is gone, it is gone here its a a Big Challenge for the royals to bring them back, even if they wanted to. Piers duncan, i hope harry in particular, meghan wants to be a celebrity rich and famous. But for harry, having been back here in the bosom of his country and his family, that something wakes up inside of him and he realizes that this is a huge thing here. The country remains hugely important to him. I hope he sees them and i hope he publishes the book. Because my father is now king, it will be inappropriate. Im not sure that will happen will happen. Martha they are delaying the book according to the telegraph. Duncan, they say they will delay it until next year. Well. [overlapping voices] even by harry and meghans standards, they should have the courtesy to wait until after the coronation, which is likely to be next summer according to what we know now. Look, harry and meghan have started their own popularity and if those two are here now and under the illusion that they can out popular the royals, they cant. So what do they do next . I think they have to now eat that all the branch and show through their actions and their words that actually they do have respect for those people Queen Elizabeth has left behind who have now got to take this institution onward through the century. Piers duncan, thank you very much. A poem that came out this week and it showed massive new popularity with charles up and sing with camilla, but right at the top by a long way is Prince William. Now, of course, Prince Of Wales and that a significant shift. You see all the royals getting more popular. Martha just the other day standing outside of Westminster Hall, and the car start coming by and they entourage coming by, massive tears up and down. People are lined up ten, 12 deep either side any time they go anywhere. Im thinking to myself is there any equivalent to this anywhere . Where a family gets this kind of response . Speed when i was with my 10yearold daughter and her friend yesterday and they were all excited because to see William And Kate. And actually, that connection with young people is across the future of the monarchy. That is why william is so important. Martha coming up todays funeral the leaders from All Over The World. Piers a few unsavory world readers have not been invited, including Vladimir Putin and leaders and i think iran as well . Yes. Several tyrants and dictators have not been invited to todays date funeral. I think that since the right message. Vladimir putin should not be here after his barbaric invasion of ukraine. And of course, the invitation to the chinese regime has been strong criticism from conservatives. And issued to china. There were some control here but the vast majority on the ground and luncheon today. About 200 i think, are from countries that represent the free world. After all, the queen was really in many respects the leader of the free world after seven decades. Just a magnificent leader. She was somebody who exemplified the spirit of british leadership on The World Stage through self dedication service. She was greatly admired across the border. We have seen that reflective in this immense event right here in london. Ainsley it was announced overnight the children george and charlotte will be attending the grandmothers funeral, ages nine and seven. Do you know anything more about this . Will we see them walking on the street behind the casket or just in Westminster Abbey . That is a very good question. I think we will see them actually walking in the street, as far as im aware. It is very significant development. It sends a message really about the longterm strength of the monarchy here. And i think the monarchy is a very robust, strong shape. The monarchy for many more decades and centuries to come. So the fact that george and charlotte are taking part in this surface, actually is very, very significant. I think it sends a clear signal about the longterm strength, durability of the British Monarchy. That is a very good thing. Ainsley not just grandmother but greatgrandmother. Martha it is interesting. It does come as you say, niles, shows the stability of the monarchy because now george and charlotte are second and third in line to the throne. They have all moved up a notch, so to speak. They are close proximity to the throne. It seems like the right thing to do. They attended phillips Service Later on. And you know, it it speaks to William And Kate, the prince and princess of wales dedication to sort of starting to train them at a young age, right . Yes. I think so exactly. And sort of looking forward to the next generation of oil leaders here. And so usually important in that respect. I think also important to note the British Monarchy is incredibly popular in the United Kingdom and also popular in the United States and across the world. The british people will be looking towards the future generations. I expect the British Monarchy to be here in the next entry in this country to follow and the sentries to follow because this represents in essence the british nation and what its al. The monarchy is fundamentally important to the unity of the british people and fundamentally important to the United Kingdom. And usually important of the british leadership in the future generation of royal Leadership Peer that is wonderful, a wonderful think and the queen would have been extremely proud. Piers yeah, she would appear and what you think will happen do you think with the commonwealth and in particular with australia, new zealand . Yesterday, inevitable in her lifetime that new zealand would want to become australia has been flirting with this in the u. K. You may see for example scotland wanting to though independent. There are lots of things fumbling around, that they will have to deal with. It is a great question. I think controls will face some challenges on The World Stage. 56 countries, 2. 5 billion people. My sense is the commonwealth will remain intact and also in terms of australia and new zealand, for example, we are going to see the king remain as Head Of State to these countries. I think the Monarch Movement certainly is weak in these countries. So i think that we are going to see the continuation of the commonwealth and also at the king remaining Head Of State. Scotland, they demonstrate tremendous admiration for the queen. In edinburg to pay respects to the queen and the last few days. I do think scotland will remain a part of the United Kingdom and nationalism is on the way. It is vitally important, of course King Charles Iii lead strongly at the helm of the monarchy. He has such an Important Role here. But i do think the commonwealth will remain a powerful force of The World Stage in the decades to come. I do not think that we will see large countries like australia, canada, for example breaking ties with the monarchy. If anything, quite the opposite and strengthening of ties between the countries and the british crowd. Martha we are looking and you can see some of the leaders of State Walking in now. Emmanuel macron and his wife just in view for us just an hour to go. And you can understand why people want to get in here and find their places. Before we let you go, we have 30 seconds and just a quick thought on Margaret Thatcher in the queens relationship. Well, Margaret Thatcher in the queen together where the two most powerful Women Leaders in the world in the united nations. The partnership was strong, powerful and robust. There was a deep divide but that was simply not the case. Margaret thatcher had a immense respect for the queen. The queen greatly respected lady thatcher. So these two powerful leaders then put Great Britain on The World Stage. A wonderful, wonderful leaders. Martha an amazing time in history as the way she talks and behaves, interesting to see how she does. Talk about the baptism of fire, became the Prime Minister 10 days ago. And the queens funeral today. War in europe, financial crisis, the pandemic, coming out of that. This all going on, as well, tough time for liz truss, the new Prime Minister. We saw that picture with the new Prime Minister and two days later, the queen was gone. She was slowing down over the last year and well get into that later. It was amazing, she looked so beautiful in front of the fireplace on tuesday and took her final breath on thursday. On tuesday, one of the horse trainers talked toer had, clive cox, and she was sharp as a tack piers i interviewed one of her jockeys and he was talking about the queens love of horses, there was argument she loved horses more than people. She was devoted and of loed buying horses, watching them race and her dogs, the corgies, who went to live with andrew, reported her favorite son. She was distraught, she had lost her dorgie, candy, her dog for 18 years, she had the dog buried at Windsor Castle. Piers she was a huge animal lover, i am sure a lot of people from the Horsing Community will be in the abbey today. It is remarkable she worked right up until the end, she had dinner with margarets daughter a few nights before. We are watching a remarkable gathering of people. Not a lot of leaders of state are at home at state today, everybody is in the united airlinesed kingdom. Piers imagine working out what sits where. Emmanuel macron will want to be near the front. Joe biden is not like that, obviously he will be, he is United States president and some people dont care at all. All these egos, have to be considered and you have the leader of israel, some of the leaders of the arab states, can they be near each other . A lot of complex diplomatic things to go through to sit people down. Billions will be watching the scenes. Werent you saying one guy studies lines for his whole life. Man who organized the queue, a Queue Scientist and he did, i think masterfully, did it for seven and a half hours all along the tims, it was harm ownuous, wonderful experience that ended with walking into Westminster Hall. Piers any tips . Just make sure along the way, listen to people coaching you, you have a long way to go, youre still in it, you are almost there. Remarkable. Everyone says go ahead. I want to mention about the dignitariess, last night at Buckingham Palace, they had an extraordinary reception, they were not separated, it was an open, they were worry body people running into each other, the king and queen of spain do not speak to the father, who is close to the roial family and now lives in the middle east in dubai, they are hoping the son and daughterinlaw wont cross paths. You think harry and william are bad, exactly piers the other thing on the queue, the last person is really great story, a woman called Chrissy Hearing was the last to see the queen lying in state and visited the queen twice. On sunday going through 1 15 a. M. , she rejoined the queue at the back at 2 30 a. M. And last person is this the lady . Thats her. Member of the royal air force, not sure in what capacity. She gave a moving interview. She did it twice. I was watching sky news last night in the middle of the two anchors talking the guy said i found at 10 44, they were closing the queue. They wanted to make sure people were not told, sorry, were moving the coffin. One lady waited two hours and was told you are too late. There is the beast, the cadillac, the Armored Cadillac our president is traveling in. C17 brought the beast over, there were many discussions about can we bring our armored vehicle, we dont feel safe on the bus with all the other dignitaries. Sources say they did agree in london, anyone part of the g7, we cant tell you to take the bus. Here comes President Biden as we speak, they brought marine one. Piers i interviewed President Trump when he came for his state visit. When you see the machinery of the american presidency all in one place, it is quite staggering. Air force one, the backup plane, marine one issue the backup helicopter, secret service, extraordinary show of power and that comes wherever the president goes. It is quite something. Lets watch as is we see getting close now, 54 minutes from the beginning and i promise everything will work on clockwork timing, it has been that way since the beginning of the London Bridge operation. Here comes President Biden and first lady jill biden, who arrived yesterday and spent time at Westminster Hall with jane hartley, u. S. Ambassador and here comes the president as he makes his way to the entrance of the historic Westminster Abbey, where weve watched churchills funeral, it is a truly extraordinary place. Westminster abbey opened to guests at 3 a. M. Your time at home, eastern time and 8 a. M. In london and dignitariess traveling from Royal Hospital to Westminster Abbey in the bus, the tenor bell at Westminster Abbey supposed to ring once every minute for 96 minutes and next will happen the Royal Procession, palace of westminister, the coffin will leave that area and head to Westminster Abbey. Piers that final procession will be quite something, youll have Big Ben Going Off, The Gun Salute going off repeatedly, a lot of noise and these are historic noises for our country, The Gun Salute and the procession will come past us here at Buckingham Palace and go to Ellington Arch issue which was built for the defeat of napoleon by wellington and from the arch, the queens coffin will be taken not down the main motor way, but actually on side roads, not as big as motor way, i think there will be extraordinary scenes on the final journey and could take up to two hours and you will see a lot of British Public wanting to come to the street and pay final fare well, guilty of what we saw when princess diane. The queen did not want a dull fun ral, she wanted a funeral full of glory and celebration of her faith and celebration of england at its very best. I think we are about to witness a beautifully choreographed service in praise of her service. The bells of Westminster Abbey, when they ring, will be fully muffled, as is done at the funeral of a sovereign. Piers The Man Standing Pushing the man, he won the Victorian Cross for his heroic work for the british army in afghanistan and hes i think pushing another Victorian Cross member there, only 23, i think, surviving members who won the victory george cross for gallantry and you see him there issue not sure who he is ush approximating, that will be probably another Victorian Cross, you cant get a higher medal in the british army. He is one of the bravest person you will ever meet, several times risked his life to save his fellow soldiers in afghanistan and i think 17 of the 23 Surviving Vcgc Medal Winners will be there, which i think is biggest gathering weve seen of them. Ainsley just saw President Biden walking through Westminster Abbey. This is first time the public has watched the monarchy Funeral Service inside, King George Vi did have his funeral, you were able to watch the procession, but cameras were excluded for the service and the queen at Westminster Abbey watched her fathers coronation and was married there, had her coronation there and then Prince Philips funeral, that is last time she was inside the abbey and now we have her funeral. The casket is english oak, it was made 30 years ago, lined with lead, to allow the body to decompose slower and eight pallbearers are needed to carry it. You had to be a certain height to be a pallbearer. Piers at least sixfoot tall, those are the queens guards. These are not ceremonial soldiers, these are elite of the british army and they are varying degrees of guards issue the ones carrying her coffin at the top of the british army. These are very special soldiers to the queen and to the country. Martha maccallum go back to the formation of the United Kingdom and through world war i and world war ii, they are very significant. They are very much active duty. There is a story about Queen Victorias funeral that the casket was being carried and it kind of went off the wheels a bit, being drawn by horses and members of the royal navy jumped in to pull it with ropes the rest of the way and that is why you see it pulled by 90something members of the British Royal navy will be, they are sailors, pulling the rope, which is a Beautiful Image of them. Piers i think like 140 of them, Something Like that, huge number and they are all royal navy. All around the carriage will be other parts of the British Armed forces. You are seeing the army, the air force, the navy, you will see they are there, the arches, the yomens, the guards, all sorts of regimens represented here today. This was of course, their commanderinchief and somebody they gave service to. Martha last royal monarch funeral was 1760, the choice for elizabeth to have her funeral here was deliberate and it is a place she celebrated her own wedding to philip and also her coronation in 1953 and she wanted to have her funeral here, as well. It is very significant. Burial place of monarchs from ancient history of the United Kingdom. Many of you may have visited here on trips, it is stunningly place. Many tudors are buried in Westminster Abbey and in more recent time king georges chapel at windsor. Ainsley this is planned down to a science and down to a minute. It will be 10 35 our time in london, 5 35 back home, the coffin will be placed on the carriage and be taken, the Royal Procession will take place, take the coffin from the palace of Westminster Abbey, the Parliament Building and sent to Westminster Abbey, you will have the state Run Carriage Carrying that coffin used by five different monarchs, including her father, churchill and baton and see musicians from the royal maen radios and well see this shortly around 5 44 your time. The funeral starts 11 a. M. Your time, 6 00 a. M. Back home and the coffin will arrive at Westminster Abbey and enter the west doors at 11 a. M. And carried past the grave the unknown warrior and the coffin transported to the heart of the abbey, you will see the royal family sit alongside the coffin and behind the family, leaders of the Heads Of State and leaders of the commonwealth and highest levels of shivelry. Piers we saw the queen sitting to mourn all alone philip and she was not able to attend the services during the jubilee. That was one of the most Haunting Images to see her mourn this great rock of her life on her own, that is the last time the queen, i believe, was at the abbey. She the arch bishop after the funeral, when you are grieving someone you deeply love, it is not easy to do it in public. And now all the members of her family are grieving in public. Weve seen lovely statements from so many members of the family. The one from beatrice and eugenia talking about their granny and how she guided them and had her hand on their back throughout their lives and they spent the week laughing and crying and somehow they shaut she would never leave them, she would go on and on and i think the entire country felt this. Piers we all felt she was an indestructible figure, to most she was monarchy the entire time we were alive. Where i was born, she was the queen and had been. You are on every bank notice, every stamp, every public building, everywhere you go, the queen, the queen, the queen issue the queen. It will gradually shift to the queen, it wont be overnight, next two or three years, bank notes will move to King Charles Iii, you will see pictures and places, it is case of the queen is dead, long live the king. We are seeing that with the National Anthem. Piers you wont hear it queen in my lifetime, the next two in line are male. She was 96 years old, she did slow down and decide to make Windsor Castle her home instead of Buckingham Palace. In april, she didnt go to sunday services and in may, opening of parliament, Prince Charles went in her place and read her speech, first time the queen since 1963 did not deliver that speech. In may, she did not attend the garden parties. They had been held since the 1860s. She pulled out of the derby Boris Johnson. Piers this is Boris Johnson and his wife carey, he made a moving address, tribute to the queen in parliament. You will see the former british Prime Ministers there. Are you surprised he got an invitation, they said former leaders would not be invited. Except from the u. K. I would imagine all the living Prime Ministers are there there, tony blair, cam ron, teressa may. Cameron is behind. Gordon brown, i imagine he would be there, the asession was remarkable, all of the living Prime Ministers were in the front row, major, brown, cameron, johnson, and may, am i forgetting anyone . They were in the front row there and there is piers first minister of scotland, the leader of scotland, they will be there, the politicians and parties are there. A lot of Privy Council will be there, they were playing integral part in the paperwork to acknowledge the new king. Yeah, you have extraordinary of the great. Jonathan hunt is with us now. Jonathan, you and i over the years have of coerred a lot of events, ive never seen anything quite like this, have you . Jonathan it is quite extraordinary and clearly designed to be a celebration of 70 years on the throne. I think what we will witness and will be part of the scelebrator tone, the initial procession we will see in 15 minutes when the queens coffin is loaded on the gun carriage and brought to Westminster Abbey in the presence of the royal navy sailors, who will be using the old Rope Ceremony to you have moo the gun carriage and then and as the procession leaves Westminster Abbey, basically does the reverse route it did from Buckingham Palace. It will go a long way past the senate Past 10 Downing Street and along the beautiful avenue that is the malia toward Buckingham Palace. I wonder whether they might make a final stop outside Buckingham Palace and just pause for a moment before they continue up Constitution Hill to wEllington Arch and move the coffin to the hearse. It will be an incredible moment outside the gates of Buckingham Palace. It is an event that you and i have never seen anything quite like it before, i dont think the world has seen anything like it before and may never see again in our lifetime. I think that is completely right, i cant think of any other public figure i forgot tony blair, sorry. I think gordon brown behind him. Biggest event before this in this country was the State Funeral in january of 1965, sir general churchill. Never seen anything like this in my lifetime and the chance to have any monarchy, charles will not reign, it is not likely for 20 or so years, william i guess could reign for quite a long time. You have seen checkered parts of the monarchy, Queen Victoria, huge reign, of course. You have several other monarchs with long reigns from start of the 20th search, quite a few monarchs including abdication. What you are seeing here is probably not only unprecedented, unlikely we will celebrate a monarch for 70 years. He knew her when she was a young girl and said she was a remarkable young toddler sglchl two years old, she had presence and authority unusual in a young child, he recognized she was gifted when she was a toddler and their families knew each other. When she became queen, he heralded the second elizabethan reign. Three great, two great queens of modern history, Queen Victoria and queen eshg elizabeth ii. Piers it is a lot easier to reign than when every single every moment of your life on public display, never the case for Victoria Elizabeth i. This is current Prime Minister liz truss for own two weeks. She is expected to be reading today, she was speaking with the last ceremony taking place here to celebrate elizabeths life. I love hearing about her, at her fathers coronation, she said, we woke up, my sister and i and my father encouraged us to write down what we remember about that day. She wrote down that they didnt eat a lot, they were curled in the window watching outside and watching to see what it looked like. They did not eat because they were so nervous and excited and she was sitting in the Church Service with her grandmother, they were singing God Save The King, for her father and she was flipping through the program with her granny and looking to see when the service was going to end and you were talking about this, she doesnt like a long Church Service. Piers she didnt want a long boring service, she wanted it to be short and vibrant. It will be an hour long, great, moving one. Recognition, were not just here to mourning issue but celebrate one of the alltime great lives. She had a great faith, i dont mean that disrespectfully. Bring in royal expert who joins us now, jonathan has been here with us quite a bit this week, good to have you back. Your thoughts as we look at this soaring camera shot of Westminster Abbey, jonathan, this morning. Jonathan Westminster Abbey looking fantastic this morning and so it should be for the funeral of her late majesty Queen Elizabeth ii. The great and good from Around The World drives home how important of a figure she has been in the u. K. And on The World Stage, very few people command this level of respect and this number of dignitaries from Around The World. This is mourning for the family, her nation and the entire world. Martha we are seeing buses and its been an effort to bring in 250 members of Heads Of State from around the globe and spouses joining them. Your thoughts on the historic nature and the unprecedented nature of this gathering that none of us are likely to ever see again. Jonathan thats right. They said like 100 state visits all in one go and a normal state visit might take weeks or months in preparation, they didnt have that time, this is put together by visiting world leader and dignitaries in matter of days. There is unusual piers buses are right behind us. Jonathan that is right. Piers to show the buses are behind us at Buckingham Palace. We should look at this. These are the world leader buses that have come from the Royal Hospital of chelsea, home to about 300 veterans. You have more powerful people in the three buses were looking at then ever amassed in the center of london. Quite extraordinary. President biden allowed to use their own way of getting here, but those buses are carrying a sea of martha jonathan, what are you hearing about security . I understand 10,000 local Police Officer and military on duty . Jonathan Massive Police operation and massive security operation. Again, this is something theyve prepared on paper for many years, but seeing it all take place is extraordinary to watch. There are police from around entire United Kingdom. I was joking it is a good day if you are a criminal outside of london. Putting that aside, with this number of highprofile people here, this is something that could be a target for terrorists, any number of criminal activities could take place, very much on the watch and looking out for safety of the royal family and dignitaries here and the people. There are millions of people watching Around The World and many thousands on The Streets Of London who are wanting to pay respects and they need protecting by the police. Piers trudea, interesting that the queen asked all members of the Royal Canadian mounted police to be at the head of the procession, which i was surprised about. I thought she would go for british representation, she wanted the canadian bounty. Martha she once said she felt at home, it was important to keep canada, australia, ireland inside the United Kingdom and well see a lot of Kings And Queens here, and most of them nobody can name. She strengthened the royalty and kept it going and that is not easy in the modern world. Keep that in mind about the heavy lifting she did to keep this monarchy as strong and powerful as it is. Well take a quick break as we watch the Queen Elizabeth iis funeral. Well pause for the Fox Affiliate to join us, you are watching special coverage of Queen Elizabeth ii funeral live from outside Buckingham Palace, im Martha Maccallum with piers morgan and ainsley. The other stations are joining on the fox network. Piers australian Prime Minister of only a few months. Austria has been flirting with republicanism. Seeing king charles, really big players of the ceremony beginning to turn up. Interesting to see the australian Prime Minister, what will happen with austria and new zealand, will they want to part country with the monarchy and move to the republic . At the moment, i dont Think Australia is ready for that, it cant be ruled out to happen in charles tenure. We are watching for Prince Charles. King charles. Piers soft power of the royal family and monarchy, the sea of flags and the king in what i expect is a rolls royce. Ainsley he is grieving the loss of his mother, he said she pledged to sever with her whole life and delivered and that is why we are all here, that is in june. Now were here back again in september to celebrate her life and legacy, her constant devotion, her grace, duty to family and her love of family, children and god. Piers and the cheers are striking, this is a funeral martha back of this car, i want to point out, Prince Of Wales in the horse guard area and getting enorapplause. Piers the applause is amazing, take a moment to hear this. Think of the trooping of the c color. She was on top of a horse in her uniform, not her son and grand solicit son issue the heirs to the throne passed through that area of her life. Piers heading toward parliament, past downing street, home of the british Prime Minister. The crowd is packed, no one can get in now, completely full. I find the cheers so moving, i wasnt sure how the public would react, very quiet, silent and respectful, seeing the new king, they want to show what he means to them. Ainsley we were worried about not getting to get through, we work up early and came to the site extremely early. People were camped out with tents, a lot of people in sleeping bags, bottles of Energy Drinks or booze people had inside their cup holders in the folding football tailgating chairs. Thousands of people camping out, they wanted to see the procession. Martha, did you want to point out something . Martha i want to watch Queen Charles get out with queen consult camilla. These are final members to arrive at the church before this gets started. Piers this is westminister hall, i think they will walk with the to the abbey, which is close by, it is all very close. I think in 10 minutes. You have martha Peter Phillips on the right. Piers and harry not in uniform, interesting. Ainsley do you think it is hard for her or he doesnt care because it was his decision . P there has to be pain when you quit the royal family and royal duty, he becomes like, to be clear, every veteran in britain. No one wears a uniform. You only wear it if you are a everybody issing member of the armed forces or if you are a Working Royal who gets an honorary title, that is criteria, that is why he is not wearing one. He has to accept that is part of what he lost. Will he like it . No, im sure it is very upsetting. People will think he served two tours of afghanistan, to clarify, no veteran of afghanistan not still serving will be able to wear a uniform in public. It was his choice, he chose to step away and with that change came changes in his life. He said to oprah, my father is trapped and my brother is trapped, imagine how painful piers what a moment for the two kids, both very Young Children and now part of this extraordinary procession. You will have Meghan Markle, duchess of sussex. At 10 35, the coffin will be placed on the carriage and they will bring it out for the Royal Procession, which is not very long from the palace of westminster, it is very close. Piers this is beatrice, edwardo and her sister. They are part of the royal family, mourning the queen, this is their grandmother, they love very dearly and were very close to and having to grieve in public, we remember the scenes of william and harry after diana died in public in front of the worlds eyes and it is the same for the members here, i couldnt imagine having to do this in public. It is worth reminding ourselves, this is a real family, not some soap opera drama, these are real people. They lost a grandmother, mother. Piers she was love to them all. Uhhuh. Martha in this group would be Household Staff to the queen at Buckingham Palace and windsor and balmoral castle, all the places visited by various members of piers the gun carriage will make its way from Westminster Abbey to the abbey, something to watch. Royal navy all around the carriage itself. Martha state gun carriage will carry the coffin and royal marine, one of the greatest Military Bands Will Be Playing Song and then you will have the Grenadire Guard and king charles and queen consort, Prince William and kate, Little George and charlotte, they are to go to their great grandmothers funeral. Piers the gun carriage, this is the fifth monarch it has been used for funerals and it was used for sir Winston Churchill. It has been the time to be used on huge occasion. Ainsley the coffin is not supposed to come out for a few minutes. Piers look at precision of everything, we have running order minute by minute and every minute, what is supposed to happen is happening, like a military operation. It is run by the military. Martha they have been practicing with a metronome to make sure it is in beat. This is princess of wales and her children, george and charlotte, nine and seven years old. They attended philips funeral and there were obviously consideration taken whether they should attend with the family. We have seen them slowly making public appearances here and there as they prepare for royal life. Charlotte is third in line, the law changed when charlotte was born, she is in succession to the throne, regardless of her sex. Piers everybody else moves down and they have children issue the list drops again, that is natural order of succession issue the heir and their heirs and their heirs how the system works. Saw queen consult there, camilla, who will be such an important figures. They have been married 17 years, they were together for a lot longer than that, hugely controversial Surround T Thebreakup Of Charles and diana, but she is incredibly important to him. It will be vital. Ainsley you heard him when he spoke first when his mother passed away, he said my darling wife of 17 years and if you ask people now according to a poll, they ink rathe most popular royals and the queen got 75 in popularity, kate 68 and william 66 , charles 42 , but on the queue, people waiting in line, one lady said ive changed my mind about camilla in the last 510 years and just saying were for her and support her now. We dont like what happened to diaana, but we want them to be happy. Piers people have come to respect camilla. This is the queens coffin being taken to the gun carriage. [bagpipes] [bagpipes] [bagpipes] [bagpipes] [bagpipes] [bagpipes] [bell] [bagpipes] are. [bell tolls] [bagpipes] [commands] [commands] [commands] [bell toll] [commands] family coming through. Here, where Queen Elizabeth was married and crowned, we gather from across the nation from the commonwealth and from the nations of the world. To mourn our loss, to remember her long life of Selfless Service and ensure confidence to commit her to the mercy of god, our maker and redeemer. With gratitude, we remember her unswerving commitment to a high calling over some years as queen and head of the commonwealth, with admiration, we recall her lifelong sense of duty and dedication to her people. With thanksgiving, we praise god for her constant example of Christian Faith and devotion. With affection, we recall her love for her family and her commitment to the the calling e held dear. Now in our sue lens now in our hearts and minds recall the many reasons for thanksgiving. Pray for all members of her family and commend Queen Elizabeth to the care and keeping of almighty god. O merciful god, the father of our lord jesus christ, who is the refresh your recollection. Whosoever believeth in him shall not die internally. Who has taught us by his apostle paul not to be sorry as men without hope for them that sleep in him. We meekly beseech thee o father to raise us from the death of sin unto the life of righteousness that when we shall depart this life, we may rest in him as our hope is, this our sister. And then at the general resurrection in the last day we may be found acceptable in thy sight and receive that blessing that thou beloved son shall pronounce to all love and fear thee saying come, you blessed children of my father, receive the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world. Grant this, we beseech thee o merciful father through jesus christ, our mediator and redeemer. Amen. [organ music] we thank thee that thigh church, unsleeping while earth rolls onward into light, through all the world her watch is keeping and rests not now by day or night. As oer each continent and island the dawn leads on another day. The voice of prayer is never silent, nor dies the strain of praise away. The sun that bids us rest is waking our brethren beneath the western sky, and hour by hour fresh lips are making th thy wondrous doing heard on high. So be it, lord; thy throne shall never, like earths proud empires, pass away; thy Kingdom Stands and grows for ever, till all thy creatures own thy sway now is christ risen from the dead and become the first fruits of them that sleep. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in adam all die, even so, in christ, shall all be made alive. As First Order Christ the first forward afterward they that are christ at his coming then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to god, even when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power for he must raise until he have put all enemies under his feet, the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death for this corruptible must put on incorruption and this morality must put on immortality so, this corruptible shall have put on corruption and this morality shall have put on immorality then shall be brought to past the thing that is written. Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting . O grave, where is thy victory . The sting of death incense and the strength is the lord. But thanks be to god which g giveth us the victory through our lord jesus christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the lord for as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the lord. Thanks be to god. Let not your heart be troubled. Ye believe in god, believe also in me. In my Fathers House are many mansions. If it were not so, i would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if i go and prepare a place for you, i will come again and receive you unto myself that where i am there ye may be, also. And wirth i go ye know and the way ye know. Thomas saith unto him, we no not wither thou goest and how can we know the way . Jesus saith unto him i am the way, the truth, and the life no man cometh unto the father but by me. If ye had known me, you should have known my father, also. And from henceforth, ye know him and have seen him. Philip saith unto him lord, show us the father and it suffices us. Jesus saith unto him, have i been so long time with you and yet has thou not known me, philip . He that hath seen me hath seen the father. Thanks be the god. Come, holy spirit, and fill our hearts with the bond of your healing love, amen. The pa pat pattern for many leas is to be exalted in life and foregotten after death. The pattern for all who serve god famous or obscure respected or ignored is the door to glory. Her late majesty famously declared on her 21st birthday broadcast that her whole life would be dedicated to serving the nation and commonwealth rarely has such a promise been so wellkept, few leaders receive the outpouring of love that we have seen. Jesus, who in our reading, does not tell his disciples how to follow but who to follow said i am the way, the truth, and the life. Her late majestys example was not set through her position or her ambition, but through whom she followed. I know his majesty shares the same faith and hope in jesus christ as his mother. The same sense of service and duty. In 1953, the queen began per coronation with silent prayer, just there, at the high altar. Her allegiance to god was given before any person gave allegiance to her. Her service to so many people in this nation, the commonwealth and the world, has its foundation in her following christ, god himself. Who said that he came not to be served but to serve. And to give his life as a ransom for many. People of Loving Service are rare in any walk of life. Leaders of Loving Service are still rarer. But, in all cases, those who serve will be loved and remembered when those who cling to power and privileges are long forgotten. The grief of this day felt not only by the late queens family but all around the nation, the commonwealth, and the world, arises from her abundant life and Loving Service. Now gone from us. She was joyful, present to so many, touching a multitude of lives. And we pray today especially for all her Family Grieving as every family at a funeral, including some families Around The World who have themselves lost someone recently. But, in this familys case, doing so in the brightest spotlight, may god heal their sorrow. Mate gap left in their lives be marked with memories of joy and life. Her late majestys broadcast during covid lockdown ended with We Will Meet Again. Words of hope from a song of vera lynn. Vision hope means certain expectation of something not yet seen. Christ rose from the dead and offers life to all. Abundant life now and life with god in eternity. As the Chris Christmas carol sat him christ enters in. We will all face the merciful judgment of god we can only share the queens hope which in life and death, inspired her servant leadership. Service in life hope in death. All who followed the queens example and inspiration in trust in god can with her say We Will Meet Again. Soul, there is a country far beyond the stars where stands winged sentry all skillful in the wars there above noise and danger sweet peace sits crowned with smiles, and one born in a manger commands the beauteous files. He is thy gracious friend, and o my soul, awake did in pure love descend, to die here for thy sake. If thou canst get but thither there grows the flower of peace, the rose that cannot Wither Thy Fortress and thy ease leave then thy foolish ranges, for none can thee secure but one who never changes, but one who never changes but one who never changes thy god, one one who never changes for none can be thee secure but one who never changes thy god, thy life, thy cure in confidence and trust, let us pray to the father. Let us give thanks to god for Queen Elizabeths long life and reign. Recalling with gratitude her gifts of wisdom, diligence, and service. O god, from whom Comest Evecometh uprightand true. Accept o thanks the gifts of heart and mind that thou bestow upon daughter elizabeth and which she should forth among us in her words and deeds. And r. And grant that we may have grace in our lives in accordance with thy will to seek the good of others and to remain faithful servants unto our lives end. Through jesus christ our lord, amen. Confident in gods love and compassion. Let us pray for all those whose hearts are heavy with grief and sorrow. Almighty god, father of all mercies and giver of all comfort, deal graciously, we pray thee, with those who mourn. Thats casting every care on thee. They may know the consolation of thy love through jesus christ our lord, amen. Let us pray for his majesty the king and all the royal family that they may know the sustaining power of gods love and the prayerful fellowship of gods people. Almighty god, the fountain of all goodness, we humbly beseason thee to bless camilla the queen consort, william, Prince Of Wales and all the royal family endure them with thy holy spirit, enrich them with thy heavenly grace. Prosper them with all happiness and bring them to thy everlasting kingdom through jesus christ, our lord. Amen. In recognition of Queen Elizabeths service to this United Kingdom, let us rejoice in her unstenting devotion to duty, her compassion for her subjects, and her counsel to her ministers, and we pray for the continued health and prosperity of this nation. Almighty god, whose will it is that all thy children should serve thee in serving one another, look with love, we pray thee on this nation. Grant to its citizens grace to Work Together with honest and faithful hearts, each caring for the good of all. That seeking first thy kingdom and its righteousness they may possess all things needful for their daily sustenance and The Common Good. Through jesus christ, our lord, amen. Let us give thanks for Queen Elizabeths commitment to the commonwealth throughout her reign for her service and dedication to its people and for the rich bonds of unity and mutual support she sustained. O, almighty and everlasting god, hear our prayer for the commonwealth and grant it to the guidance of thy wisdom. Inspire those in authority that they may promote justice and The Common Good give to all its citizens the spirit of mutual honor and respect and grant to us all grace to strive for the establishment of righteousness and peace for the honor of thy name, amen. We give thanks to god for Queen Elizabeths loyalty to the faith she inherited through her baptism and confirmation and affirmed at her coronation. For her unswerving devotion to the gospel and for her Steadfast Service as supreme governor of the church of england. Lord, we beseech thee to keep thy household, the church, in continual godliness. That through thy protection she may be free of all adversities and devoutly given to serve thee in all good works to the glory of thy name through jesus christ our lord. Amen. Let us pray that we may be given grace to live as those who believe in the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, and the resurrection to eternal life. Bring us, o lord, god, at our last awakening, into the house and gate of heaven to enter into that gate and dwell in that house where there shall be no darkness nor dazzling but one light. No noise, nor silence but one music. No fears, nor hopes but one equal possession. No ends nor beginnings, but one equal eternity. In the habitation of thy glory and dominion, World Without end. Amen. In confidence and hope, let us pray to the father in the words our savior taught us. Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us our day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom, the power, and glory forever and ever, amen. [organ] let us commend to the mercy of god our maker and redeemer, the soul of elizabeth, our late queen. Heavenly father, king of kings, lord and giver of life, who of thy grace and creation did for mankind in thine own image and in thy great love offerrest us life eternal in christ jesus. Claiming the promises of thy most blessed son, we entrust the soul of elizabeth, our sister here departed, to thy merciful keeping, ensure and sow certain hope of the resurrection to eternal life when christ shall be in all who died and rose again to save us and now liveth and reigneth with thee and the holy spirit in glory forever, amen. Go forth, o christian soul from this world in the name of god the father almighty who created thee, in the name of jesus christ, son of the living god, who suffered for thee, in the name of the holy spirit who was poured out upon thee and anointed thee in communion with all the blessed saints and aided by the angels and arc angels and the heavenlies house. May thy portion this day be in peace and thy dwelling in the heavenly jerusalem, amen. God grant to the living grace, to the departed rest. To the church the king, the commonwealth, and all people peace and comfort and to us sinners last everlasting. And a blessing of god almighty, the father, the son, and the holy spirit be among you and remain with you always. Amen. The gun carriage will make its way to Buckingham Palace and then through to wEllington Arch where it will be transferred to a hears. Lets take a moment and talk about what we saw in this beautiful, moving, stunning tribute, religious service in every way to Queen Elizabeth ii which ended with bagpipes lone piper in the balcony of westminster abby playing sleep dearie sleep scottish pipe song absolutely Beautiful Service in so many ways and i want to get thanks from piers and ainsley. Do you want to start us off. Piers piper was so poignant as so many poignant moments every morning at balmoral 9 00 a. M. He would wake everybody up under the queens wind coby piping. And then he piped his famous lament sleep dearie sleep. I thought that was incredibly poignant as was the twominute silence as was, i thought, the whole tone of the service. It was so beautifully done. Everything chosen, i believe, by the queen. So this is how she wanted her funeral to be. And like everything the queen ever did showed immaculate taste. I watched it unbearablably sad but also a Great British pomp and pageantry at its finest. This whole day has been painstakingly and hearing behind us the guns going off now every minute. Big ben is ringing out continuously now. You have this extraordinary procession of all these different parts of the queens life, our great commanderinchief as well as monarch and come past here right where we are in a few minutes. Its just an extraordinary spectacle and completely fitting with the magnitude of this womans life and her reign. Martha there was one quote from a reporter after her coronation that i just wanted to read and remember the coronation was right after world war ii. And he wrote the trumpets and ancientness were proof of our survival. The kings young daughter would rule the peace, our decency, tradition, duty and contradiction to the gaslightness of naziism written right after her coronation. Here we see her family, her daughter, Princess Anne and now her sons king charles and andrew enter grandsons walking right behind her, ainsley, as we watch all of this play out what stands out for me her deep faith and see a Church Service honoring her life and her legacy, how important the church was to her. How important not only with god but with jesus christ was. How bold she was. She talked about it when she felt it was necessary. She said after her fathers death it was a beautiful if you really think about her words and like you said earlier, piers, her words are poetry. She said after her fathers death we are all just visitors, this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to learn, to grow, to love, and then we return home. I was watching an interview with the archbishop of canterbury, i believe this morning on bbc or sky news and he said that she is at peace. She is finally in heaven with her mother and her sister and her father and her loved ones. Piers, did you want to Say Something . These are the Canadian Mounted Police and that was the queens personal choice that they should lead this final procession. A great tribute to canada obviously one of the commonwealth countries. Legendary police Around The World the mounties. Wonderful honor for them, obviously. Ainsley the queen had a 53 lo affair with the mounties. Red the red it uneconomics and set sons, she loved her horses. She had 30 corgis or dorgie datsun combined with a correspondingy. Andrew gave her two. Those were the two that were remaining when she died on september 8th. So he will take care of those. He and along with fergusony. Piers i have been getting a lot of texts from people, tweets from people following. This there were some that real made me stop and think this one here lisa moyer, my son is part of the gun carriage crew. Is he directly behind the coffin senate on the right. We are unbelievably proud parents. Imagine all the families of all the people taking part here. The young men who are carrying the coffin earlier. What an honor, what a privilege. What a stress to get it right. To do your country and queen proud. That young man would be one of the 142, i think it is royal naval ranking, junior ranking members of the navy. All hugely proud and all have large families watching this. Imagine if that was your son or daughter in this parade. Ainsley i was thinking about that with the children singing in the westminster choir young boys with beautiful voices. They sang a beautiful song likes a the hart based on the psalm a hart adult deer. Red deer seen in the Northern Highlands of scotland. A lot of references scotland that music was written specifically for the queen, for the funeral today. Just so many woven pieces of her life that came into this. And, of course, you couldnt help but watch all the members of the family as they took this in and certainly beautiful to see young george and charlotte looking at all of this. I couldnt help but think that some day when george is coronated probably george the seventh i would imagine, we will reroll this video of him as a young boy attending Queen Elizabeth iis funeral, a dynasty that has gone back a thousand years since william the conqueror and just steeped in history, every one of these rituals that we watched play out. There was a card on top of the queens coffin which we now know is King Charles Iii to his mother and wrote loving and devoted memory charles r. Which was very powerfully poignant. One tribute to a monarch to his mother the previous monarch. And there is the succession right there. I thought the other part of the service which caught my eye which i think might get a lot of attention Going Forward the archbishop of canterbury making a very pointed moment in his speech those who serve will be forever remembered. Those who cling to power and privileges will long are forgotten. Ainsley was that a dig . Piers certain people Boris Johnson sitting there listening to that may think that the archbishop was making a point or maybe he was making a wider point to other world leaders. Ainsley maybe meghan and harry. Piers maybe if you live your live to serve others you are remembered extremely well. If you live your life clinging to power and privilege and forget about duty and supervisors, then less. So and i think that was a very marked thing that he said, you know, bordering on political but i applaud him for saying it. Reminding him what the queen stands for. Ainsley maybe just being a bishop. Leader in the church reminding us we need to have lives of service and not to serve ourselves. Also on top you can see there in front of the flowers you have the imperial state crown. You have the orb and the scepter, and theyre resting on top of the coffin. They will be removed before the final hymn and placed on the altar, i guess they were and put back on the coffin. They will not be buried. Inside the coffin she is wearing her gold wedding band and pearl eagers and Engagement Ring belonged to philips mother which will likely be given according to sources to Princess Anne. March mart orb the symbol of the church. The scepter the symbol of the power. They will be used at charles coronation. The discussion about when that will be will start to kick in im sure in the days that follow. Piers i dont think it will be as long as the queen had to wait. I think it will be sooner. Again, i was talking before this is a real family really grieving. One person that we saw in the procession before they got to the abby was Prince Andrew who of course has been jailed because of the scandal that he was caught up in. And there was a picture of him looking absolutely crushed. I mean, weeping and looking crushed and you realize he has probably lost the biggest supporter in his life. Someone who stood by him when many other people were running for the hills. Someone who supported him through his huge scandal and difficulties. And you can see it all over his face there the what the loss of his mother means to him. Ainsley now the loss of his father and mother. And we have all had friends that have lost both mother and father and they say now i feel like ann anan or orphan. Ainsley there was mischief going on in his life or maybe he was just having a little fun or going out a little bit with his buddies but then 10 years later they had two more children and one much of them was andrew. She said he has quite simply been my strength and stay all of these years. If i am asked today what i think about family and life after years of marriage, i can answer with simplicity and conviction i am for it. And then after he died, she said that mischievous inquiring twin twinkle was as bright as the end. It was said she never had eyes for anyone else. She fell in love with him. Met him at 8 years old at a family meeting. 15 he was basically babysitting her at the Naval College in dartmouth. She fell in love with him. Years later 21 years old announced their engagement and married. Martha her cousin said after that when she was 13, she never had eyes for anyone else. Her mother wanted her to marry a member of british air to come crazy, philip was a prince of greece and denmark and brought those families together, brings in the mo mount batten side of e family. Struggle with philip for years how to be in that role in 1952 a time when women were not positions of power modern age talked about it yesterday about how unique it was to be a woman of power and attending events with all men surrounding her. She always could command the room and she had that authority that Winston Churchill talked about her having when she was just a little kid he had the last State Funeral before her. Interwoven. Who were the greatest brit tops of the modern age always the queen Winston Churchill and the fact that they are the recipients of the two last State Funerals i think says it all. Interesting fact about the flowers on the queens coffin. They were cut from the gardens of Buckingham Palace clarence house, high growth house of the kings rest. Merkel plot 1947 wedding bouquet. The king asked for the nest of moss as sustainable alternative of floral foam. A little moment there from her own wedding bouquet came from the same sprig that was laid down from that, so that shows you again in a way as we are regenerating the monarchy here. Those flowers represent that. Ainsley you mentioned churchill when 2 years old met her and called her a character with the air of authority. Astonishing in an infant he said. Later, when she became the between at 26 years old, he said but she is but a child. He didnt think, i guesses, to your point, martha, she was a woman. They had never experienced that before. There had never been a woman in power at this point. Pier pier i heard the new zealand Prime Minister saying she had spoken to the queen and how did you get on with things when you had children . You were the queen . She said you just get on with it. Dont you. They reminded me of the great churchill quote. Kbo. Keep buggering on. The two had stoic resilience which represents the very best in british qualities. Like when you are in trouble, keep pounding, keep getting on with it. And just get on with things. Martha is that where carry on came from not to chirp on meghan and harry. Piers she wasnt even martha the whole idea it the queen told her how do you balance family and work and she said you just get on with it and clearly there was not effort to get on with it and put your side aget on with it. Piers sussex duty but only to themselves. This site here, look at this, this is absolutely spectacular again to remind viewers, we have never seen anything like this in our lifetime. This is a remarkable. Event. It sounded like the children were going to be walking behind the casket but it looks like the decision was made and a source close to them said that it would be sort of a decision that would be made after the service and maybe they were a little tired. Anyway, they are riding in the car with their mother and with camilla the queen consort. Interesting to note that clearly part of this procession as the second and third in line to the throne. Ainsley not easy to walk in dress shoes and high heels, camilla was saying she was in a lot of pain because she stubbed her toe and she broke one of her toes. Standing in nonstab for literally the last 12 days. Piers with a broken toe. That is the attitude of the real royals understand connection with the public. Can you have all the palaces and the servants and pomp and pageantry in your life. Buff the tea deal is you give backselfless duty and service. Thats what being a member of the royal family is about and should be about. Charles now we are learning more about who King Charles Iii is. He became heir apparent 3 years old. Unlike his mother he knew his whole life he would become king. He was the longest heir apparent. Mom became between at 26 and died at 96. Longest in line to become the king for 70 years. Piers as you were talking, ainsley, its now arrived. The procession is right behind us. Can you see the Royal Canadian mounted police at the front there, four of them leading parole procession toward Buckingham Palace huge number not only of the household guards but also the members of the palace staff who have all lined up, i think, to say one last farewell to their boss, the queen go around here to see if they stop in front of the palace one last time incredibly moving. Ainsley to say hello for those who worked for the family. Martha all lined up in front of the gate where anyone who comes here to see the changing of the guard stands right out front here and its really, you are going to see it when the shot comes around you will see them all standing. When you see and hear the procession you get the majesty of how it looks and the sound and in the background Big Ben Going Off Royal Artillery guns going off. Thrilling spectacle for what is a sad and celebratory event. The British Public not only mourning this queen but also today saying you were fantastic, thank you, and we are so grateful. Ainsley piers, to watch her walk out on this porch a few month ago. Piers three month ago,. Ainsley how do you feel as a brit . Piers with the anthem playing earlier i felt choked up. Suddenly you realize this is it. This for me right now literally is the last time i will ever see Queen Elizabeth ii and as a british person who has lived 57 years, thats a really strange and surreal moment to know that our queen is gone. And this is the last time i will ever see her in any capacity. And i think everybody lining the route feels the same way. Im told all the roads down to windsor are now packed with people because people understand this is their last chance to say thank you and goodbye. Its a very poignant moment. Its a very sad moment. Ainsley piers, she has a message for you because when her mother and sister died within about a month of each other in 2002, she was grieving and she said, goat, there is no magical formula transform sorry row into happiness i rely on my own faith to guide me through the good and the bad, there is no magic formula. You just have to face it, right . And if you have faith as i do and i know do you and the archbishop of canterbury said he cited that vote We Will Meet Again. That was the last line of his address. That was what the queen said to us in the pandemic on National Television to reassure us. I think people who have faith, of course, as the queen did, can now rely on that faith to know that We Will Meet Again and that in itself is an inspiring and hopeful part of this. I cant deny that i think for a lot of british people think hard britain journalists who said to mine who said to me or tweeted they are much sadder about this than they realized much more emotional watching the funeral than they thought they would be i know exactly how they feel final curtain, final moment of this queens extraordinary reign, 70 years and then this is it. Ainsley how about the double rainbow over Buckingham Palace. Martha its almost as if the queen arranged every detail of this herself. It has been the most glorious weather for the last 12 days. I dont ever remember a stretch in my civi visits of such beautl perfect weather. Enabled people to come out, to line up, to stand here and to enjoy this moment in a way that they might not have been able to if the weather had been terrible on the day of her death september the 8th. Two beautiful ark rainbows over the palace. I thought it was from another day. I thought it was impossible that that could be happening on bucking pam palace that afternoon. Again last night a huge beautiful rainbow right over the abby. It is just stunningly beautiful. Britain at its absolute finest. I think that the sadness that you talk about piers. Its the passing of an era and the feeling aspirin says ann said that some of it had been taken for granted, that her presence was something that people thought would always be there and of course never ever is in life lasting forever and now you see some of the Household Staff. Some of the staff have been d for the between 40 and 50 years. These were incredibly close they never gave interviews never discussed their time. Kelly who dressed her the last 20 years or so of her life incredibly close to the queen. Saying goodbye to their boss somebody they knew better than we did. You think of the balcony scene we had in june for the jubilee and then the scenes for every event one moment, the biggest moment would be when the queen came out and waved. Thats all she had to do and the place went crazy. I always said she was the biggest star in the world. What you have seen in this week, particularly today, is the world recognizing that that statement was true. You can have all the celebrities you want. But actually the biggest star in the world, the most famous, the most respected was her majesty Queen Elizabeth ii. Ainsley such a great lesson for people to learn. Lots of children look up to sports figures. Lots of girls can look up to her. Anyone can look up to her because she was the queen that was not supposed to be. The underdog coming in at 26 years old. Even churchill saying she is just a child. She proved everybody wrong. The longest serving monarch in british history and someone who just stayed true to her convictions was very righteous. Did always the right thing and someone people Around The World can look up to. Her uncle abdicated the throne, her father becomes king and she becomes the queen. Look at the showing. Millions of people. Piers amazing. Ainsley how many are supposed to watch on television . Piers i read up to potentially 4 billion people. Think about that. Martha astonishing. Think of challenge you to think of anyone more famous in the entire world. Not a place on the planet you would say Queen Elizabeth ii and people wouldnt know how are talking about. Not another person sort and a half realm. We were talking about famous past funerals the only one close besides churchill that you mentioned is poppy john paul ii in terms of global. Piers i would say nelson mandela, the poppy, president kennedy because of the circumstances of his death. Princess dianas obviously. I think in terms of overall global attention and the respect that it has attracted Around The World, i think this is beyond anything that i have ever witnessed. This has better the monarchy goes back thousands of years. So these are i think, this is what we are seeing here is the combination of all that crystallized around this one woman greatest monarch, i think the greatest monarch in the history of this planet and this is the world saying goodbye but also britain showing how we do these things at our very best. Im incredibly proud of everyone thats been involved in this because its been completely flawless. Martha i read in one of the biographies saying how in the winter season of herman narky hy she brought vigor. On day like this its easy to forget of all of the downs times. The 60s and 70s, challenges to the monarchy, holding up signs saying they didnt want money. Not one more dollar to go to this institution. And one of the things that has struck me in talking to people in the streets throughout the week is incredible diversity of people who you could ask and they would say young, old, from all different parts of the world, say why are you here . Because we love her. Just outpouring of love that i honestly have never seen for another individual. She had such a great gut instinct for the people. And i remember probably her most difficult period ever was when diana died and, in fact, shes treats around the palace were getting quite rebellious because the royal family balmoral, she was there. She said to take care of her grandchildren understandably. The longer she left to come down to london. They didnt put the flag at half mast because only for the monarch. Rebelling and tone in the air. For the first time you could say potentially the queen misjudged it. She came down and lowered the flag. Breaking all protocol. She understood thats what the people wanted. And then she went up into one of those windows up interest, to one upthere and one of the wd gave a live address. Wasnt recorded, three and a half moments from the heart speak talking as your queen but also as grandmother. It was probably the most important three minutes of her reign was that moment when she turned all the British Public around from slightly feeling antithe royal family for the first time in her lifetime to suddenly completely behind her again. And that just showed that even when she had slightly misjudged something, her ability to get it right quickly. Martha turn it around. One of her staff said at that time it was only time in her reign that they were actually concerned when she got out of the car people might sneer and boo at her. In the end they came around and cheered. Ainsley it was a fairy tale wedding. Turned tragedy. Piers 10 minutes and still coming. This is the greatest procession this country has ever had for anything and rightly as i say. Because its to commemorate this extraordinary seven decade reign. It keeps coming. These are the finest of the British Military. Ainsley you brought up diana and interesting first time spoke after mom died darling wife of 17 years. And they got married and do you know the queen didnt even go to their ceremony. It was a civil ceremony at guilds hall in windsor. The queen did not attend. But then they had 800 Guest Service of prayer at st. Georges chapel after. And the queen did host a reception at Windsor Castle. Just over time the. Piers camilla won the queen around by putting in the hours. Ainsley the queen helped with that you would see images of them talking sitting next to each other giving her jewelry. Piers she took her in and recognized that camilla believes the same thing as the queen about never complaining. Never explain, rarely be heard speaking in public. Do your duty put the country before yourself. She recognized that camilla understood all those things. Thats why she will be a great queen consort. Ainsley we have seen the queen evolve over the years . Do you think she regretted not allowing her son to marry camilla in the first place. Piers no. She was the head of the church she took that seriously. She had to think about those things. Ainsley camilla got married while charles was away in the military. Ainsley maybe because she knew she wouldnt marry the love of her life. Piers many times when she put the country and duties as monarch ahead of her personal wishes. It may well have been she wanted to do things differently personally. She did what she felt was right in the country and consistent with the monarch. Sometimes that were at odds with what her own family wanted her to do. That shows thats what she was so great at doing it was alwaysselfless. Never selfish. Ainsley can you imagine waiting in the queue , 10, 15 hours . Did you that, martha. Thats a drive from new york to it North Carolina martha, you were one of those. Martha it was a great experience. I was really glad we did it. It was a window that we got, that we took advantage of. And it was well worth it. It was a memorable, memorable experience. And to just be in the abby and to even be on the queue. All those hours talking to people and hearing their thoughts about all of it. Everybody kept each other in good spirit. We all made friends with people. Took turns, you know, i will go get you a coffee. You go get me a coffee. Ainsley was the coffin small . Martha i was struck by that Westminster Hall the coffin in that hall is so enormous that it looked tiny and the crown looked tiny on top of it. And she was not a tall woman and i heard her talk about wearing the crown the other day and she said when its on your head, if you are giving a speech, you cant bend over to read your speech. You have to hold your head up and bring the speech up to you so it doesnt fall off. Ainsley no bobby pins for her . Martha definitely not. Martha probably not a bobby pin that would hold that. Ainsley thick. Petitioner pierce seeing all the senior members of the family there still walking. Quite a long walk from the abby up to wEllington Arch, wEllington Arch one of the great monuments in britain built in honor of the great duke of wellington defeated napoleon battle of waterloo built him an arch. Anyone who has traveled to london will know hyde park corner. Thats where the queen coffin taken off the gun carriage and into the a hears and travel through large crowds of people. Going on regular roads not the main motorway. It will be packed with people wanting to have their final chance to pay respects to the queen. Martha ingrid is here. A thought on the funeral and what we are watching now . Well, i totally agree with piers, as a brit. A part of us sort of died with the queen because we have all known her all our lives. Never known another monarch most of us. And it just feels as if we are with her there. And i think the pipe major paul burns paying that scottish lament was incredibly moving and now seeing the family and the soldiers and the queens body guard and their plumed helmets. Its lovely that Prince George was at the funeral because the queen, although she wasnt at her grandfathers funeral, she was at her fathers coronation. And she was 10 years old a year older than Prince William is now. They were just exemplary those children. They know that they have a life of ceremony in front of them. So i thought. Piers looking at a statue there of im just saying were looking at the statue of the queen mother which the procession will pass at some stage. Queen mother and other great, great woman in the pantheon of great royals. Never forgotten by the british people the way she and her husband king george the sixth stayed in the capital city even when nazis bombed Buckingham Palace preetedly and beloved ever since for that i very much thought that she helped Queen Elizabeth become the queen she was. And they were while the queen mother was alive very much a team. Martha ingrid, you mentioned a coronation of her father Queen Elizabeth being there to watch that she was 25 years old when her father died in if he has been 1952. In april she turned 26. She served for 16 months until she was 27 years old, june 1953 was her coronation. How long do you think we will have to wait for them to get things in place before we see King Charles Iii coronated . Well, i dont think we will have to, as piers said earlier. I dont think we will have to wait as long as that nobody expected him to die so young at age 56. Although things were in place, they werent set in tablets of stone. And im quite certain that King Charles Iiis coronation is already well on the way to being finally organized. So i would think we will see it be, perhaps, the early summer. But i dont think much later than that. Martha it seems because of his age and his preparation, there isnt really any need to wait as you say. She was so young. And because we this funeral has been in the works for decades. I would imagine as you say, ingrid, that the coronation is also well underway in the planning. Well, it certainly will be and i think charles has inton it unnated he doesnt want it to be as flamboyant as his mothers. We are in different times. Vast economic crisis. And i think that he feels he doesnt want to press the british people too much for the funding of these great events. It will still be magnificent but i dont think it will be as big as the queens coronation. It keeps coming, its been quite remarkable. To witness this. I have never seen anything quite like it. Its very moving because unlike other processions we have had for things like royal weddings where there is such a mod of celebration and jubilee. This is really a sad feeling as much as anything, i think. This is the queens final journey that were witnessing here. This is it, the end. And very soon she will be put into the he the hearse, the prie burl ceremony this evening and that will be the very last time that we ever, ever see this queen. And then, of course, the mervyns the royal family will have a week of mourning where we wont see them. They have a longer mourning period than that. But, also, their household will be allowed some time off and they will just be in their own private places. And i was delighted to see actually fergie. Piers sorry. I was just going to ask you. I saw fergusony. I was pleased she was there i was going to ask you somebody like me that has grown up with this monarch, this queen, have you been surprised by how emotional you felt in the last few days . Yes, i have. I think partly its the ceremony and the grandeur of this all which, of course, you and i im older than you, piers, we have never seen the like of this. And i think its very, very moving and the other thing, of course, which we have all talked about is the friendliness of the crowds and the gentleness. I mean, hardly any dogs barking. Hardly any babies crying. Its just been so quiet and respectful. That is really something that perhaps we only saw a little bit of at dianas death. Piers i was at kensington yesterday Walking Around and a few people who ran cafes restaurants. Huge number of tourists came in this week. And particularly a huge number of americans that. Are a lot of americans who made the journey. Many of them apparently telling these people who run the restaurants and so on that they have come specifically for all the pageantry this week leading up to the funeral. They just wanted to be part of it. I think that says a lot about what is often called the special relationship between britain and america. But i think the royals have been a huge bridge in that special relationship. And i think Many Americans find all the pageantry compelling as in britain which i find very touching. Martha one of the things i would say about that most of us grew up as young girls, our mothers wake us up to get up at 4 00 in the morning to watch Princess Diana and charles wedding my mother talking about when margaret and elizabeth were little girls roughly the same age as her and they felt a lot of parallels. I do think it really goes back to world war ii and the bond between the two countries and the meaningful engagement of the royal family during that period. Piers goes back to the 1st century when kicked out king George Ainsley there is that. We are about to see right behind us, actually, the queens coffin and the family members coming through. You know, one of the things that strikes me about the participation of charlotte and george in this procession is that william and harry walked behind dianas coffin as we all remember. And harry has said it was a traumatic experience for him. But it seems clear that william wanted his children to be part of this. That, perhaps, its his own way of saying that this is something you should be proud to do. And we remember that philip, Prince Philip said to the boys, if you walk, ill walk. I do think its very meaningful that you are seeing the two of them, there are no other Great Grandchildren and its due to their piers it is obviously different circumstances. Priscillas diana was killed when she was 36 and a car crash pier that was incredibly shocking and traumatic for everybody. I wouldnt categorize the death of this queen of 96 as traumatic or shocking. What has been is just a sad moment in time. And i think as young kids, this is a greatgrandmother who they would have loved as young kids. But i dont think it is the same experience. Martha it is more of a celebration. I agree with you. It is 96 years old and a celebration of her life. Where she is now and they believe she is in heaven with jesus christ, or god, her family, her parents in a teaching moment to not be afraid of death if you have faith. This is what happens and this is where your greatgreatgrandmother is today. I wanted to ask you, you have been covering the royal family for a long time. Did you ever see any signs where she was talking Behind The Scenes of just needing to slow down because we saw her with a new Prime Minister on tuesday. Two days later, she was taking her last breath which was shocking to all of us. We she did pull back and she didnt go to the derby or the platinum jubilee. She didnt go to the sunday services at easter which is rare for her. She pulled back from the parties and events she has gone to for years. But Behind The Scenes, was she saying, i am really tired and ready to go on to the next life . No, i dont think she was. I think she was determined to see through the platinum jubilee. But it was her feet that were giving her such problems. Some days, she literally could not walk at all. Some days she could walk forward and other days, she could walk down, but she always said in it is o 11 of those oldfashioned expressions. If i stop, eye drop. So she felt she had to go on because it was her duty and what she did. Piers i think that is the key. The last few days of her life to determine as the Prime Minister, saying goodbye to the Prime Minister and literally the last couple of days of her life determined to go through with her duty like many others who would have not done that. She did it because she felt it was a huge constitutional part of her job, which it was. Martha look at the righthand side of your screen, the military which we have watched the beginning of this procession are now gathering your wEllington Arch, which is not something you see every day. So really, beautiful, stunning scene and this is where the transfer will take place of the coffin from the gun carriage into the hearse. This is astonishing the number of people who are involved in this and the precision that has been worked on for so long. This is going to be a moving handoff. Piers a, d is scene of the monument to the greatest ever bt heroes of wellington. But also london, the capital city. You now have thousands of thousands of the most elite members of armed forces gathering to greet her majesty at the arch before she is put in the hearse and taken to windsor with another long procession and committal of burial. The only thing we wont see is the private actual burial ceremony later. She will be buried along with recently departed husband ph philip. And they will raise philips coffin up and lower down into the vault together. Martha back together again. Piers a very pointed moment. Ainsley this is made up of several groups and accompanied by a surface man on the nhs, the National Health Service Members of the Royal Canadian police, which the queen had a love affair with the mounties. The detachment from the armed forces, the commonwealth. The guns are fired every minute and you will hear those periodically throughout the coverage. The kings truth royal force artillery. Then we are told every minute of the procession makes its way through the streets. 1 00 p. M. London time, which is 8 00 a. M. Your time, the coffin arrives at wEllington Arch in london like you just saw. It will be transferred from the gun carriage to the hearse. Martha we can out we are just coming into view of the queens coffin coming into Buckingham Palace. Just the other day we watched Buckingham Palace and now the return of the staff is lined up at the gate, waiting for Queen Elizabeth coffin to pass by. It is just a beautiful, poignant site. Ainsley gosh come everybody has their cell phones out to remember this moment including the staff behind the cameras. Piers this is a real moment in history, everybody there with their camera out. This is the last time they will see the queen. And it will become i would say almost every case, the queen, they never know. The british people it is a world event and All Over The World here but to the british people it carries a particular appointment sadness at this moment. As im feeling, actually it is not just the end of an era but of the greatest era of monarchy that weve ever had in this country. And that is quite a thing to digest to think about. We have become so used to having her there, and now she is gone. This is the last few moments we will ever see the queen. Martha think of all the times we saw her on that balcony before us. William and kates wedding, which was just a jubilee, beautiful april day. She was always guiding everybody. It is time to step out, and now it is very moving to see her last journey through this area in her coffin pulled by the gun carriage that has polled seven monarchs over the course of time. Piers if you remember, the other side of the jubilee back in early june. We remember the moment the queen came out on the balcony and the place erupted. That was the last time that we saw her really before she went up to balmoral and effectively, the last time in public we saw her appear that moment was a jubilee celebration. Martha and the big concert that happens the same weekend. And i was fortunate to be able to go to that and see some big artist stars that really loved her. She had the Paddington Bear video that was so darling where she pulled the marmalade sandwich out. Piers this moment year, ainsley, that was the final time, which is a real moment in history here. This was of course a london resident for the entire rain. And this will be the last time the queen ever passes. Speed to folks at home can see the staff lined up on the gate on the other side of the guardsl standing at attention. It must be very emotional for them, as you say, many have worked for decades and some a very long time. This is probably marking the end of the career of service. Piers many will move on to other positions of jobs and some will lose their jobs because they dont have this going to work for. So it will be a very, very sad moment. Martha sir edmund young was the queens private secretary announced the news of her passing. He will be coordinated roll which charles the third by the secretary for the time being as they sort of merge some of their duties. Piers i wonder if they will stop outside of the palace. Ainsley i can imagine how what they must feel if worked for her for decades. She is about to pass by you in the coffin for the last time. Piers, do you know anyone that has worked for her question marks me when i know quite a bit of the Buckingham Palace staff. They are people from all ranks there of the palace. Some of them i can see recognized a few of them, 40, 50 years. This is the monarch of the queen that passed. That is the queen that passes the palace for the last time. It is very, very special moment. Martha lets pause and watch for a moment. Ainsley you are watching the queens casket as it passes by Buckingham Palace for the last time in london. It is a very important moment, obviously for all the individuals who do work or did work inside the palace. Piers im struck by the fact all of these crews from the network Around The World has rushed forward to witness the moment. How many times do you ever see that . We have many moments. Martha it is historic and we will tell our grandchildren someday. Ainsley you will see behind the coffin here is the cardcarrying princess of wales and her children and queen camilla, the consort, and just behind them, edwards wife who is a prominent member of the family. She and her husband edward to become the duke and duchess of edinburg, Prince Philips title. So this is the core of the family that you see passing through Buckingham Palace. Piers the household coverage there absolutely magnificent. This procession, i dont know how long this has been running now, but lets bring back duncan larcombe. Duncan, these are quite extraordinary scenes, arent they . Ive never seen anything quite like this. That seems to me entirely appropriate given weve never seen anyone quite like this. It will be a harris on the back of your neck moment. It has pretty much since something had gone bad with her health. In the new she died, but where they are right now and it reminded me, piers, that is an area of ground where the young princess elizabeth and her sister, Princess Margaret escape the balcony and ran out to celebrate victory in europe day end of the second world war. It is a balcony where Prince Charles and diana cast. It is a balcony in a palace where William And Kate work, but most significantly im reminded of the jubilee. That is a palace where the plane didnt take part of the jubilee because of her health but when she emerged on the balcony and looking down on what we see now, she felt the love of the nation and perhaps the love of the world that we are seeing now with respect of a queen who died knowing that the country that she had led 70 years adored her. Im so glad the jubilee was able to happen. If you like, what has happened now followed because as they go through Buckingham Palace, that is what i think. The reaction on the queens face when the nation showed her. Piers you see some of the other royal pluralists in the cars following the procession getting a round of applause. So probably nearing the end of the procession now is the queens gun carriage has gone on towards wEllington Arch. Sorry. Martha duncan, im holding a copy of the sun and we got the newspapers and one is a picture of the royal family released yesterday as the nation prepared to say goodbye to the State Funeral. Would you describe the picture . Most everyone has seen it and i dont know if you can cut away from it because obviously we want to see this. But can you chose though might tell us why you chose this picture and tell us more about it . Yes, i have to be honest. It used to be a distinguished editor of the mirror but i havent worked there for some time. Ainsley oh, it says the sun on the teleprompter, im sorry. Hold that one up. I used to run the daily mirror and i write columns for the sun now and will capture the moment. This is a new picture taken with the queen back in may with a lovely brooch released on the eve of her funeral. I think that is how the royal family actually wanted her to be remembered most. This smiling, wonderful lady who changed so many lives and come into this country and help to celebrate when things were bad. Just remarkable and i think the papers today in a way, ashley, but in a way it was still photograph all of these events. I get the papers each day and really remarkable. You could do something on a printed page sometimes, which gnome amount of footage could show that tiny moment. I think the papers have been really outstanding in this country. Martha i would say more people Pay Attention to the newspapers here then back to the u. S. We have stacks of amazing ive had them every morning from the jubilee and from this that i have received over the years because the photography is amazing and the way the papers captured and people actually buy the physical paper and read it, right . The National Newspapers. We have 13 National Newspaper and we do have city and town newspapers. But we have this huge volume of National Papers because we are a pretty small country. You can fit us into texas. So think about how they reflect the country and they dont have to focus on the state or whatever it may be. That is what gives them a particular residence of the country. And certainly, events like this the papers have been outstanding. Duncan, we have come with the stories over the years and enormous stories of the different types. But i do think in terms how this has been laid out over the last ten days since the queen died, i dont think ive been involved in anything bigger than this. No, i dont think in our living memory at least there has been anything like this. As you said, in 2005, but i mean, we have seen the queen in the service so far. We have seen herds ahead of the military. We have seen her in the service as the head of the church. We have seen her as the head of the family and also head of lots of different organizations that benefited from over the years. What i think we are about to see is the queen the peoples queen. Now at this time, 28 miles to windsor from here and she will be on the house. I think we will have aerial shots and we are about to be blown away. Because so far, this is about the pomp and ceremony and for significance, but it is the peoples queen, i think. Piers i think you are spot on. Your family have gone down to the road, which is a mile or so the journey from arch down to windsor and it is already packed down there. Because they are taking the b roads and off the main motorway, we will have a huge number of people, particularly when they realize this is the last chance to say goodbye. And actually, you see all the people inside of the home where she was lyinginstate, not just goodbye but thank you. A number of people mouthing the words thank you was touching. I think you will see that now rightfully down to windsor. Windsor is packed as well. Martha that is great point. I go back to the paddington video, which was so adorable. I rewatched at the other day. The moment he looks into her eyes and says thank you, maam. And Charles First Speech to the nation. He said he wanted to thank her for her service to the country. You know, duncan, it is that gratitude that we are seeing play out across the nation. I dont think there is not a person universally loved as we have seen in this queen. It is like nothing. You hear from the end of the procession, an outbreak of applause from the crowd who have been very respectful until that point. I think the end of the procession. Ainsley duncan, thank you so much. We wont get it wrong next time. I know you are no longer with the sun and the mirror had a better picture so thank you for that. So sorry for your loss yes, go ahead. [laughter] piers next time, next time. Martha speaking of Sharon Osbourne standing by as well and sharon joined us at the jubilee. It was so wonderful to have her with us. Sharon, im sure this is an emotional day for you. Tell us what your thoughts are as you watch the end of the procession this afternoon . One of great sadness, but then to witness something i think piers use the word magnificent. That is what this has been, the most magnificent her reign of respect, the military. I mean, the navy. They have been so precise the choreography and the way it is organized. I think 10,000 people involved in this. And it is absolutely magnificent. We have all witnessed history. You know, our grandchildren will be learning about this at school. It will go on and on and we have all been a part of history. It is saying goodbye, but it is also celebrating her life, celebrating what she has done, not just for this country but for the world. She has been an amazing example of dignity and strength. Martha you know, sharon, it is a new start for this country with King Charles Iii as the new monarch. I know you have said publicly and we covered it on fox friends you and ozzie were going to move to england. He wanted to be in the u. K. And you wanted to be home. Hopefully it is a long time from now but because he said this is where he wants to take his last breath. What are your emotions and what are his emotions and where are you right now . I am in london. I just wanted to watch it in my own space very quietly and be able to take it all in. And its just been stunning, magnificent, sad, and yet again, a celebration of incredible, wonderful woman. Piers sharon. Sorry, piers. Piers no, i was going to ask you you and i talk about the queen a lot over the years. When you try to explain to people that are not from this country why she is so important to britain, what do you say . You see, people dont understand our history and what she means and dedicating ones life to the country and the commonwealth. And people dont get it, the things this woman has given at such an early age. She was just a young woman when she took on this role. Her entire life has been vindicated to being a queen of this country and the commonwealth and being never put a foot wrong ever. Sorry. Martha i just wanted to ask as you look ahead because you have a lot of admiration for the monarchy, what are your thoughts about King Charles Iii . We watched him in action throughout the course of the week both morning and also establishing himself as the new monarch. I think he is going to do an incredible job. I think he will be outspoken. I think he has a lot of strengths. He, too, will dedicate his life to being a great king. Piers sharon, there is something about charles, i think, the longest apprentice of any job ever. Ever. I mean, 75 years of preparing to be king, knowing that entire time he was going to be king. And i think that gives him a huge advantage. I think hes been able to sit there the seat of the monarch, the queen. Exactly. Piers how it is to be a monarch in this country. I mean, can you imagine what he has learned with his mother and his father . Just incredible. And he will be a great king. He is so brilliant with the general public. He is so generous in his time and heartwarming. And hes a really, good person. Piers yeah, he is. Hes got camilla with him there. Who has been an absolute rock to him the way philip was to the queen. I think that is so important. It could be a lonely job at the top. It doesnt get more to the top then the king of this country. But i think having camilla by his side will be an enormous help to him. She is great down to earth, very private woman. You wont hear her complaining about anything. She is an oldfashioned royal. I think that is what we need. Charles, the one thing i would take issue with, im not sure he will be outspoken. He was as Prince Of Wales, but ive seen him recently and he was very strong to say, i completely understand the difference between the Prince Of Wales and the king. He knows the number one reason why his mother so beloved by so many people because she never took sides. She never took sides on politics or issues. She always stayed out of all of that stuff. I think he understands, he, too, will have dues stay out of that to not take any side. I still think sorry, i still think that he will be very, very verbal about certain causes. Recently, talking about global warming, and he was asked what did he think came out of it. He said absolutely nothing, just talk. Piers yeah, yeah, he made, but i would be surprised though. I think he understands the key to longevity as a popular key as opposed to a prince or you have far more license to talk about stuff is actually to say very little. To be there in moments where you can unify the country and bring a country together rather than say things where half of the country might go, i dont like that. It is a perilous road for any monarch to go down. Martha we will take a moment, stand by if you can and watch this transfer from the final stop at wEllington Arch as moved from the gun carriage to the gun hearse. [whistleblowing] martha with that, Queen Elizabeths coffin is back in the hearse that we so arrive in all of those nights at the beginning of this process from scotland. We saw it weave its way through the beautiful highlands of scotland. Now, it will begin another journey from Buckingham Palace home for so many years to the central headquarters for all of her work as queen. Now she makes her way to beloved hometown of windsor where she will rest in eternity with Prince Philip, with her sister, Princess Margaret, her dad, reunited in the chapel. This is going to be a very poetic journey as all of this has been. In many ways, it was fitting that she passed away in balmoral because it began in scotland and her other beloved place where she like to come at times. Piers this journey is going to be extraordinary because i think several Million People will come out and look at the crowd. Martha piers, how do they make up this time because this is 21 minutes behind and it was supposed to happen 1 00 this time a. M. Piers the public are now saying goodbye. I think you see some flowers being thrown. This is reminiscent when Princess Diana died and taken back to her family home he rode a lot of people, you can hear people cheering really loudly. And throwing flowers. It is a moving moment because this is like i keep saying the last chance really for the british people to say thank you. Martha roses tossed into the road and it is im in the scent of that moment with diana. Im thinking Queen Elizabeth called her grandfather, george the fifth, grandpa england. And i think it would be fitting for a lot of her own children and grandchildren and all of the people of this kingdom, grandmother england. Indeed, she is. Piers look at this, i have never seen anything like this in any event. You have big crowds, but never lining the streets so deep. These are normal lenten streets heading down to south kens kensington, balmoral road, and all of these great buildings. But the crowd, may be 20, 30 deep the entire way. This is just the start of it. It is a 20mile journey now to Windsor Castle. It is all going to be like this, i dont know how many millions of people. You can see how many flowers have been thrown. Just a moment for the guy driving the hearse, this is not easy when you are trying to drive the queens body in a coffin with all of the respect that that commands. People are throwing stuff at you all the time. It is very difficult. Martha especially with the beautiful jewelry and ornaments on top of the casket. And you mention margaret and her greatgrandfather, he was the king. People were scared of him. He had a tough personality, strong, and she had a great relationship with them. The archbishop of canterbury noticed who she was dragging around the house by his beard. She was only one able to do that when she was a little girl. The archbishop said, it is like watching the little girl dragged him around like she was a show pony. He had a parrot that would walk around on the dining room table. He allowed the parrot to walk around on the dining room table and elizabeth as a little girl would give the parents a sugar cubes. Piers ainsley, you know more about the royal family. You are a royal expert. Ainsley as famous and as royal and as wealthy as they are, they do things like we do. Martha exactly. Piers you have some soldiers there head bowed in respect. Martha as we watch this journey on the way to st. Georges chapel, the queen makes her final trip from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle, something she did every week and recently, she had recently moved to Windsor Castle for most of the end of her life. We will continue coverage on fox news channel. Please stay tuned for continuing coverage here and throughout the course of the afternoon of Queen Elizabeth iis funeral Martha Maccallum, Ainsley Earhardt and piers morgan. And we are back with live coverage of the funeral of Queen Elizabeth ii. It has been in the extraordinary day as we have watched the funeral Westminster Abbey and the magnificent procession down balmoral. It is joy is. Piers to me, this is the most moving moment. Martha why is that because its not just Buckingham Palace . Piers people that didnt get the vip tickets to the funeral are not part of the procession were part of the military. These are ordinary members of the public lining their final journey in fast numbers. I cant begin to tell you just by judging the first mile they have taken, this crowd he is 20, 30, 40 deep many throwing flowers at the hearse as it goes by. All the cheering and clapping. People wanting to pay respect and gratitude. You will pass some of the other royal which will be quite symbolic as well. But actually, this is really the queen and absolute communion with her people for the last time. It is incredibly moving. You are watching, Sharon Osbourne, are you feeling the way i am about this . Yeah, i mean, at certain times, you cant help but cry. It is just unbelievable how it has united our country. I can remember people telling me when i was younger that during the war, everybody was so united and people do things and take care of each other. And when i was in line this week waiting with people, just waiting to go and pay respects to the queen, it was amazing the feeling of so united, so much love with each other. The people from All Over The World from south america, australia, new ze aland that had flown in for this occasion. You know, to pay their respects to this, you know, amazing monarch. It is just unbelievable. Piers just passing the royal jump in, sharon, just passing the royal hall where the queen attended. So many nights there, so many nights of royal ball. Piers obviously named after king albert, but albert, the king region. The albert hall is kind of the epicenter of royal concerts in this country. And music. Piers all the greatest musicians have played. Ainsley oh, the music. Inside, it has never been touched. It is magnificent inside. Everything is red velvet, gold, and it is the most amazing place to listen to music. You know, so many times and the first thing you look at the royal box, is there anybody from the royal family . Piers and it is a beautiful place. It is very keeping with all things royal. But the queen, she loved to go to her favorite musicians, classic, otherwise. In the prompts. Piers it is interesting, sharon there she counseled supposed to be the friday and saturday immediately after her death and they cancel. I think that is a great shame because the last time at the albert hall, a great festival of the kind of music. That she loved. Piers that the queen loved. In the last time was a two or three day Classical Music with huge crowds coming and they sing anthems, the National Anthem and a great classical performances. And they canceled out of respect for the queen. A lot of people that canceled out of respect for the queen. I wonder who they were respecting because i couldnt think of a better way, actually to respect the queen then belting out land of glory so i think it was a misstep on the organizers. It would have been a neat way to say goodbye. Martha sharon, do something you do at the end. So i just wanted you to clarify. Not only the high school prom. Be when it has nothing to do with it. [overlapping voices] ainsley sharon, you just lived in california. I know you are in london and i dont know if youve moved yet but we want to get your election about harry and meghan and the tellall book speaking with oprah in california. What are your thoughts about this . You know, i get very sad. Part of this, my sadness is looking at harry looking so sad and really being where he belongs with the rest of the royal family. And he sort of made himself the black sheep. And for me, it is heartbreaking because he belongs, you know, he belongs beside his brother and the country adored him. And they did meghan, too. And i just dont know how you give up your country for celebrity. He said he wanted an ordinary life, but you know, he has become a celebrity. And you know, mixes with all of the things celebrities. Would do such a different life. And i dont really understand it. And he talks about the royal family. If you wanted to leave, why did you keep still talking about the royal family and disrespectfully . I dont understand it. I really dont. If i was him, i would give back the money that ive got for the work spirit because i think he had to give up four books. Just forget it because it will only cause more heartache for the royal family. Im sure the book isnt, you know, im sure its not got a few laughs in it and its lighthearted because you wouldnt get that sort of money unless it was somewhat scandalous. Piers yeah, and im told, sharon, an attack on camilla, of course, his fathers wife, who harry points for the breakup of his parents marriage. You and i know it is a lot more complicated than that. A lot more complicated. Piers it was not as straightforward as it seems or one side was perfect and the other side the devil. And i think harry was too young to understand all that. I still feel like he wants to score for his mother. I dont think his mother would want him to do this. His mother never attacked the monarchy, she never did. Never. Piers she did certain parts of her life but not the institution. I think the problem for prince harry is the more he attacks the monarchy, the more estranged he will become from the royal family. Of course, because you know, the more they continue to protect their families, both of them, the list interesting they become. Hey, get over it. Move on, move on piers all you do is invade your own privacy on national tv. I mean, it is like what are you doing . And what else have you got to talk about other than your family . Because a couple of podcasts and they did the show with oprah on mental health. And so, is that what you are going to talk about . No, they will talk about the royal family. Martha that is clearly the currency that is attracted the deals to them. It is the only card that they hold. So now, he faces this difficult question as you put it, sharon, whether or not he will cancel this book. And i think sort of that potentially short of an actual apology of saying, they came out very publicly and said all the things they felt were dis services to them and they left supposedly. They keep coming back and coming back. If they really want some sort of reconciliation, it seems there has to be some kind of apology, because of the things they said about them were so deeply offensive, essentially calling them racist. Speak with a racist thing. Martha offensive to william and the rest of the family. Of course, the whole racist thing was atrocious. And it is like, if you were going to talk about it, say who said it and what they did say, but the thing is you cant believe anything after that interview because of the 17 lives that were told. So if there were 17 lives that we found out about, his personal, you know, conversations he was repeating, how do we know they are true . Piers you know, all of those powerful interjections by the Prince Of Wales, Prince William came with the aftermath when he was asked, sir, are you part of a racist family . And he just snapped and turned to the report are unlikely and said i can assure we are up most not a racist family. Of course they are not a racist family. And Meghan Markle endorsed by harry and the entire royal family and i find it quite hard to forgive that given she did that right after Prince Philip was taken to the hospital, knowing none of them were able to respond. They never respond to this kind of thing. The last few years of the queens life were having to deal with these two being very public, attacking the royal family and the monarchy. The institution, which she had it and affords them the ability to make all this money. So i find it when i say particularly Meghan Markle, i see all of these events this week, a lot of british people find it hard to stomach because they think, well, you made the queens life so difficult the last two years of her life. At a time when she should have had peace, peace, just to be with her family. And it is heartbreaking. And i dont think any of us will forget that picture of her at her husbands funeral on their own. Ainsley what happens next . What happens next . How does this play out . Will they Stay Together . Goodness only knows. I mean, i have no idea. But i just hope that the books dont come out. I really, really hope that they complain it to give the money back and forgive the whole thin. And move on with their lives and have a happy life because half of the time they dont look happy. So have a happy life. We wish you well. And just move on from talking about your family. Piers they were saying earlier, sharon. It is boring. Piers i was saying before you came on eric today, america has not had a great track record of the royal family to for to come up margaret and if it wasnt for wallis simpson, we wouldnt have Queen Elizabeth. So thank you, america. Martha we had one Queen Elizabeth. Lets take a look at the passage as it weaves its way on the final journey past Windsor Castle. We have seen an angle of Windsor Castle where the guards are standing and waiting for the final arrival of Queen Elizabeth. I believe niall is with us. If you can hear me do we have niall . Not yet. So alex hogan is at windsor. She is reporting there this afternoon and has been onsite all morning. Alex, over to you at Windsor Castle. Good morning. As we know, there are millions of people watching All Over The World and right now the final procession is underway bringing the queens body to her final resting point. You know looking at the map, she will be leaving. She passed hyde park through west london through chelsea and then hammersmith, she is until she will pass to come to windsor palace. What will take place later on today in about two hours time, if the queens coffin will be brought through the nave of st. Georges chapel and the royal coffin will be placed on a platform above the entrance to a bolt. At the end of the day, it will be lowered and she will be joined by the 24 members of the royal family who are buried including late sister, late husband, and her parents as well. This is a moment that will be watched again by millions of people, but it will take place and much more intimate than what we saw this morning. About 2,000 people at Westminster Abbey for the funeral. Right now 800 people will be allowed inside. These are not only members of the royal family but also the staff that worked alongside the queen. They will be able to be here for the final moments. Once again, it is the royal family that will have these last moments 7 30 local time tonight to pay their respects before her body is lowered into the vault. I have to tell you when windsor, the town is full of people who have come All Over The World. They will not be allowed inside, but there are fields where people are waiting, watching, these watch parties. The streets behind us are packed as people wait to not only see the queens body, but also, the king and the royal family. Their final goodbyes. It is amazing to see the tributes in the town with images of the queen throughout the streets, restaurants, stores showing just how loved she is and just how many memories she has made here. Back to you. Martha alex, thank you very much. Alex hogan at windsor. I would like to bring the 22nd canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper who attended the funeral today inside Westminster Abbey. Very good to have you with us today, sir. Tell us about your experience and what was it like . You know, i could say it was moving, but i describe it moving in a different way than emotional then sad. I think it was just overw overwhelming. You know, you are there and you see and appreciate the longevity and the grandeur of the institutions that the queen represented. And it is really imposing. Obviously, someone who knew the queen personally, it is a sad moment. But at the same time, what you are also seeing3 it was a Beautiful Life well lived with much meaning and accomplishment. Can i ask you one thing with canada . The queen chose four mounted officers from the Royal Canadian mounted police to reed the procession, which was indicative of her great abiding affection
