joining me now robert gray at the fox business network and robert, what are investors say? >> investors are perplexed, trying to decide whether or not the tax cuts are going to be extended and rates for capital gains and dividend taxes and people with large gains are more opt to pay higher taxes next year and trying to play a little game as we head towards year end and in the meantime you're looking at the expenses here and broken it down and friends at george mason university did, talk about the cost, 700 billion to extend the tax cuts and not in one year, it's over a decade. and 3 trillion for the so-called middle class and geographically and you schumer acknowledges that, and not necessarily, the upper class in certain parts of the u.s., and you look at the spending, 42 trillion dollars in spending, and 4 1/2 trillion were spending just on the interest, over the next ten years and 700 billion to extend the tax situation here for both and 115 billion for the benefits as well for unemployment, so, it sounds like a lot, but when you compare it to the spending elsewhere and it's not really that much and during the time we're trying to see the economy coming back and with most of the economists, both, small business owners in particular looking to possibly do hiring really are saying that you know, if their taxes are going up, it's going to be a lot more difficult. >> and it's tough, the investors really got slammed with a lot of economic data that came out and now we all have to process it as congress is trying to figure out what to do with the tax cuts that expire. what, i guess is the plan for the week ahead, seems every week there's something big. >> so much last week with the jobsless jobs report depending where you stand there, on friday, we're looking whether the senate rally will continue because friday we did see a snap back by the end of the day there and really focusing on retail because this is the time where the retailers make or break their year. >> sure. >> and so much of it is consumer driven because our economy, 70% by the kaurms and we're keeping a close eye on that and listening for more clues from manufacturers and watch the transportation companies we've had a lot of positive news from the truckers out there and shipping the merchandise and they don't ship if there's not demand. >> julie: that's the good news then. europe debt problems are a concerned and fox business is conducting an interview as part of a special. >> connell mcshane going back to the old side as it were, back to the homeland and back to ireland and the focal point of the past two weeks after we had greece with the situations and bailout loans from the european central bank, and there are some articles out this weekend. whether ireland will leave the euro or not to go back maybe to the irish-- a connell will sit down with the prime minister and interviews out of ireland, we'll have ground zero from ireland with what's going on with their economy currently. >> julie: all right. >> what's going to happen going forward here and go into the banks and the situation, a lot of trouble there, why do we compare?
