Respond accordingly to the rogue nations next move. Will this be more sanctions . Will this be Something Else . Were going to ask Lieutenant Colonel ralph peters. News today that Loretta Lynch used an alias to send top secret emails when she was attorney general including one about the now infamous tarmac meeting between her and former president bill clinton. Not unusual for federal officials to use email aliases for security reasons but you have got to wonder here, was there something in those emails that she was trying to hide from reporters . We are on it for you. First i want to go to blake burman. He is in washington with the very latest on the north korea situation. Fill us in, blake. Reporter hi, there, trish. This is a potential gamechanger from reporting at the Washington Post. We report solely from the Washington Post which reports that the Defense Intelligence agency concluded last month that the north korea is able to produce a minute a miniaturized Nuclear Weapon to fit inside of it is miss. They believe north korea has up to five dozen Nuclear Weapons. This comes as tensions continue to rise with the United States and north korea. North korea blames the u. S. For that u. N. Vote over the weekend to impose additional sanctions on north korea. Its state media saying the following, i quote, no bigger mistake than the United States is believing its land is safe across the ocean, end quote. The u. N. Ambassador to the u. N. Is nikki haley. She appeared on fox friends this morning and had this barning for north korea. This had to happen. We had to go after his heart currency. We had to stop him. How he responds, he will now have to think whats the endgame . Is he really coming after the United States knowing what the United States can do back . He has to make that calculation. He you now has to decide that. Reporter now the sanctions announced a billion dollars against north korea. Earlier today President Trump tweeted the following. This is something clearly that is on his radar. He said quote, after many years of failure, countries are coming together to finally address danks posed by north korea. We must be tough and decisive, end quote. Trish, by the way i should mention at this point so far no official reaction from the United States government, the Intelligence Community about this report from the Washington Post. Trish blake burman, well be watching for that for sure. Thank you very much for getting us up to speed. Im joined by fox news strategic analyst Lieutenant Colonel ralph peters for his thoughts on all of that. I guess i will start what is it that we can do right now if this is, it is getting pretty serious. Were running out of choices and running out of chances. The moment of truth is approaching. It is not quite there but it is dangerously close. Trish, something we all should worry about, i think our Intelligence Community which is actually very, very good was so burned by the 2003 weapons of mass destruction issue that they have been overly cautious. Weve seen north korea develop more capabilities more rapidly than any intelligence agencies anywhere thought. It all comes down to two things. One were idiots for relying on china to help us. China wont help us unless we were to inflict really severe economic pain on china. China, north korea, i said it again and again, north korea is chinas most valuable ally. China sees us as the enemy. They will not he help the an my and dump the ally. Trish let me stop you there, that you say we are idiots if we rely on china to help us here. Given what weve seen with these sanctions, were putting some pressure and some emphasis on china order to help us deal with this situation, right . That is what the billion dollars worth of sanctions is about, you think china will not bother enforcing sanctions, Lieutenant Colonel . Look, the sanctions are about making people feel good. In order to get that vote, the 150 vote in the Security Council we had to water down the sanctions at chinas behest. On top of which, chinas agreed to many sanctions before and they violate them again and again. For strategic reasons, economic reasons, primarily strategic reasons. So the bottom line on all of this, trish, is the crisis is coming. China has not been helping. There is one last chance to get china to help but they will have to feel if they dont help they will suffer severe economic pain. That is our last chance before we start pulling triggers. Trish can i ask you, walk us through what this actual means. When you read a headline like the current one in Washington Post, north korea making missileready Nuclear Weapons, what is the chance here that this can hit us . Not yet is the answer because one, you need act a missiles. Their missiles are not yet accurate enough. They have reentry problems where, when the missiles are coming in on the target they just burn up, break up. Miniaturized warheads have to be reliable. Finally in order to pose a viable threat you cant just have one of these. They really would want to have dozens. Before there is a threat of them attacking our main land with a barrage of missiles or attacking hawaii, guam or alaska, we probably worst case will be yearandahalf, two years, maybe a little longer. Trish that is not a lot of time, colonel. It is not. In washington things crawl along. I dont want this to be a war. I dont want it. Nobody in their right mind want it, but we cant have north korea have array of missiles, nucleartipped missiles to hit the United States. If it comes to that i would hit them first, hit them hard knowing it will be bloody and ugly if we do so. Trish you say if it comes to that. Yes. Trish youre giving us a very short time horizon here, year, yearandahalf. You point out washington is slow. You point you out china he will not help us the way we need china for their selfinterest reasons, does that suggest, colonel peters, were heading to actual war with north korea . Trish i hate the thought but, we have been so foolish for so long. Which let this drag on so long. We never really called china out. We believed every promise, every lie beijing told us. As a result of which were facing what is rapidly becoming a real and present danger to the continental United States as well as our territories. How much more explicit, how much more plain can it be . I stress again and again, this is not a matter of wanting war. This is about the selfdefense of our nation. Among my many worries on this is that we have talked ourselves out of what war really means, what really has to be done. Im really afraid if we ever do go after their nukes militarily well be, we have this phobe you yaw, we dont want to hurt anybody, we just want to break stuff. The worse thing we can do, if we decide we must hit north korea militarily, the worse thing we could do, do a halfbaked effort. Youre either allin or dont bother. Trish no, i think everyone would agree with you on that, absolutely. We learned our lesson on halfbaked efforts. I hope. Trish colonel peters, thank you very much. Good to have you you here and your perspective. Let me get to our other big story were following today. With just learned former attorney general Loretta Lynch used an alias, Elizabeth Carlisle, to send her government emails. Im smiling. I like the name. My daughters name is elizabeth. So Elizabeth Carlyle has a ring to it. She was naming Elizabeth Carlisle unher former tarmac meeting with president clinton. President trump tweeting, amazon, Washington Post, failing New York Times were reluctant to cover the clintonlynch secret meeting in plane. It is not uncommon for government officials to use an alias. Doing so for security reasons. This is not illegal. This was still a government address under a different name. You have got to wonder whether there was something in the tarmac emails Loretta Lynch didnt want others to see . Joining me right now, former defense attorney and fox news anchor gregg jarrett. Good to see you. Why would you use the different name, first of all . Is this youre afraid reporters will ask for these documents . You know, i dont know, but the Senate Judiciary which is investigating lynch, needs to sit her down under oath and ask her that question, what were you doing . If she was trying to conceal a government you document under 18 usc 21 that is a crime. Maybe that wasnt their purpose. Maybe there is a legitimate explanation. Trish because again if youre using elizabeth, i like that name, Elizabeth Carlisle. That was an actress by the way. There is a famous Elizabeth Carlisle who was an actress. There is. Connell trish if youre using that name, basically if you have reporters trying to gather information after the fact, they put in a foia request, freedom of information act request, they say we want all of Loretta Lynchs emails guess what . You will not get them. Trish you will get all of Loretta Lynchs emails. You will not get Elizabeth Carlisles. One way to keep some of this stuff, gregg out of the public eye . Depends on her intent, really. Only she can answer the question what her intent was. It is very suspicious a year ago, in a foia request, an organization asked for all documents pertaining to that meeting between bill clinton and Loretta Lynch. James comey under penalty of perjury signed a document that said there are none. Lo and behold we found out over the course of the last several days that there were 420 pages of documents pertaining to that meeting including prepared talking points which we know is spin from the department of justice and the fbi. All kinds of communications with reporters as well. So why would james comey say there are no documents when in fact there were . Did 420 documents get lost and suddenly magically reappear . Trish do you think he you knew there were documents and was deliberately trying that is one of the explanations. Either he lied or, he didnt understand the request, but it is hard to believe that because it was standard boilerplate lawyer language, all documents pertaining to. Or you know, they were lost and they have now been found but those are the only three explanations that are possible. Trish bizarre. Quickly, while you have you here. Yes. Trish another big story in the news, google fired this engineer, james dow moore. He was behind the controversial memo aamore. Suggesting men are better suited for engineering jobs, tech jobs, before he was fired he submit ad charge to the National LaborRelations Board accusing google upper management trying to shame him into silence. So does he have any case here . I mean, you have an engineer publishing a memo like that. That is insulting to so many women that work there. Of course it is. Trish you know, seems to me, freedom of speech only goes so far once youre working for a company that want to respect boundaries. Freedom of speech is not all encompassing or pervasive. You dont have freedom of speech in the work place. Look at the First Amendment. It is government attempt to he restrict freedom of speech. It is not a private company. They can suspend, reprimand or fire you for a reason or no reason at all. If you issue a internal memo and argue that incredibly stupid. Trish stupid, yes. You dont have First Amendment protection. I went to the nlrb so im being retaliated against. You cant go to the Labor Relations board to seeking is for something not roteched and claim retaliation. If he files a lawsuit, good luck, pal. Trish really, really dumb memo i was saying yesterday. You have a right to be stupid in america. A company has a right to fire stupid employees. Trish google doesnt have to keep you there. Gregg jarrett, always a pleasure, sir. Republican party donor in virginia filed suit against the Republican Party accusing them of fraud and racketeering, get this, raising millions of dollars in donations knowing they would not be able to repeal obamacare. Yes, that is how fed up this one particular republican is. He is so angry, that he is filing a lawsuit over the republican parts inability to repeal obamacare. He is saying, wait a second, we raise the all this money for you twice. We sent you there to do something, you didnt do the job. So now im suing you. Are there more like him out there . Were on it. Everyone, you heard news that north korea is making missileready Nuclear Weapons. This is according to a report that came you out earlier, moments ago in the Washington Post. They have allegedly gotten to the point where they are considering becoming or in fact are on a path to becoming i should say a fullfledged nuclear power. So a lot of questions how exactly we deal with that. We heard of course nikki haley making media rounds really threatening them, do not mess with us. We heard from dr. Gorka, Sebastian Gorka yesterday on this program saying dont mess with us. We heard from colonel peters moments ago saying we need to take this very seriously. We need to be willing to act first in this case. So you can see you how this rhetoric is just really is just opening up. Here to you discuss it more, i have political commentator harlan hill, Advisory Board member for Trump Campaign and democratic strategist michael hopkins. Well get into the stuff with Loretta Lynch in a moment, guys. First of all this breaking news north korea is really and truly a nuclear threat, something we realized all along, harlan hill, but is now coming into fruition here with colonel peters saying we got a year, yearandahalf basically weve were facing a threat where they can strike us. This is probably one of the Biggest NationalSecurity Problems that President Donald Trump is going to face and its a problem not resolved by the Previous Administration and goss back to even the bill clinton years. So he has an unprecedented threat to the American Homeland because at this point, this unhinged dictator in north korea has the capability to deliver a Nuclear Weapon to the United States. And he is fastworking on solution to deliver it to the continental United States, including places like chicago, major american cities, and what i dont like about this guy he is unpredictable. Kim jongun we can not forecast you how far he is willing to go. That makes him dangerous. Trish michael, that is a challenge. When youre dealing with world leaders, typically there is a sense, they dont want to see themselves or their countries he destroyed. You at least are working in a political realism space. But the problem here is, and we see this with many in the sort of islamic type dictatorships, as well, where there is, you know, with syria, and isis, youre dealing with a religious component that makes it very challenging to work with them as a rational player
