G20 summit concert with World Leaders. Ii want to point out a couple other headlines. Racks rex saying there are no good options in north korea without the help of china. We talked about the importance of sanctions. You need chinas cooperation in those sanctions. China is someone we need to bring on board according to Rex Tillerson. Were seeing that Rex Tillerson is saying that eventually bashar al alassad will not have a future in syria. That was another topic addressed in todays meeting. Stocks are rebounding up 100 points after better than expected jobs report. Investor are feeling a little more confident here that our economy is getting back on track. Take a look at that, everyone. Very good jobs report. Well talk about all this coming up in the next hour. Im trish regan. Welcome to the intelligence report. President trump an Vladmir Putin speaking behind closed doors for over two hours. Where the leaders reached a agreement for ceasefire in southwest syria starting sunday. This is is the first meeting. Already theyre working out a few of their differences. Well see whether it lasts. We are talking to retired fourstar general jack keane about all of it. Violent anticapitalist protests breaking out on streets of germany again today. Guess who plans to join these protests . You will appreciate this one. New yorkers will, new york city mayor bill de blasio. The mayor of new york city is actually skipping an nypd swearingin ceremony, comes days after an officer was assassinated on the job, to go out in protest in hamburg, germany. That is judgment for you, right. I want to go to blake burman in hamburg, germany for the very latest on the president s meeting with Vladmir Putin. Of course i was just explaining to our viewers there, blake, Rex Tillerson is out briefing reporters. Fill us in. Reporter secretary of state Rex Tillerson gave two pretty big pieces of news coming out of this briefing. The secretary of state confirmed that the United States and russia agreed along with georgia in the south western part of syria a ceasefire to begin this weekend according to initial reports. The secretary of state holding this up a way potential potentially the United States and syria can work inside of syria going forward. Number two, what you mentioned as well, with tillerson saying that the president in their meeting with russian president Vladmir Putin, the very first thing President Trump brought up according to till already son was russian meddling in the 2016 election. Here is till already son recounting part of that conversation. The president at this point, he pressed him, felt like at this point, lets talk about how do we go forward. I think that was the right place to spend our time, rather than spending a lot of time having a disagreement that Everybody Knows we have a disagreement. Reporter trish, tillerson said russians denied any wrongdoing, said they wanted proof. However tillerson also described the meeting as very constructive. Said that the two President Trump and Vladmir Putin, struck up a good about it of chemistry between the two. Look at President Trump before the meeting started. Members of media were ushered in, both he and putin were complimentary of each other. President putin and i have been discussing various things. It is going very well. We had very, very good talks. We have a talk now. Obviously that will continue. But we look forward to a lot of positive things happening, for russia, for the United States and for everybody concerned. Reporter trish, the secretary of state is pretty stoic but even had a little bit of a laugh when he was recounting a story from inside of that meeting. He said at about an hour or so into the meeting the first lady, Melania Trump was sent in, trying to break it up, he said, basically that she failed. After at that they talked about another hour. Imagine that imagery. Two leaders sitting there and first lady sent to break it up. Trish buddy, youre on a schedule, right . Youre on a schedule, trying to hail this as these two getting along. North korea also talked about the in meeting according to tillerson, saying them and russians see this differently. Steve mnuchin said north korea was a big topic discussed among World Leaders as well. Trish we want to talk about that more ourselves. Blake burman thank you. For more analysis, we have fox news military analyst general jack keane. Good to be here, trish. Trish good news on the syrian ceasefire. Anything that can reduce the horrific humanitarian catastrophe in syria is a good thing. Weve been working on this, the United States, russia, jordan for some weeks. They have been having classified meetings to this end, hopefully when they had this meeting today they would have some kind of agreement. Secretary tillerson as we noted in the introduction they still have to work out the details of enforcement. Right now looks like some russia participation, some u. S. And some jordanian participation. The concern about enforcement is simply this. We have to make sure russia is going to control Syrian Ground forces. Two, irransians are in the area. Will they agree to get out of there. And three, extremists will likely attack the area just on prince he pill. We have to have forces on the ground to protect people in the area. Trish i want to turn to north korea because that is the big scary one these days. Didnt sound Rex Tillerson was convinced we had a ton of options without cooperation of the chinese. Donald trump recently tweeted hoped china would be more active but clearly we cant count on the chinese so where does this leave us . I think where were at for sure, certainly the administration that china has not done all it can do. So the mooting with president xi he is having as a result of the g20 to see if xi will do anymore. Here what i know for a fact that the Trump Administration has done. North korea is escalated. You Trump Administration will not escalate militarily. What they will do escalate with policy of maximum pressure on north korea. Any country that does business with north korea, seek them to stop doing that. Trish i want to jump in. Were talking sanctions . Sanctions. Trish real sanctions . We havent had much. Stop doing business with them. That is a real sanction. The decision they already made a couple weeks ago, they began to sanction china, two companies there, one bank, one entity that leads to militarization of north korea with a couple of individuals. They will increase this assed intoed rather dramatically. There has never been sanctions on china like this before. They recognize theyre on a collision course with china if theyre unwilling to assist the United States andregion in due nuclearization. It appears as of today likely they are not going to assist with us. Well see what comes out meeting. Trump administration is preparing for maximum pressure. Sanctions have never worked with north korea. We talked about this before. We never talked them to the degree well try this time, particularly with china who provides most of the trade and economic support somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 to 90 . Trish are we hopeful then . I have made this point. As you said sanctions have not previously worked. However we are not doing enough in the way of sanctions. There is much more than can be done. We sanction ad chinese bank last week doing business with north korea. One would think there is more where that came from . We always did more with iran than we did with north korea mysteriously. Iran came to the negotiating table, they wanted their money back they were losing. Trish i remember that. Well see if this has the same kind of impact. Trish fingers crossed, thank you, general keane. Anticapitalist protests breaking out on the streets of hamburg germany. Police and anarchists clashing for the second day. For latest i want to go to fox news correspondent greg palkot there in hamburg, germany greg. Reporter were blocks away from the leaders of the g20 meeting. Protesters and police gathered as well as a water cannon truck which has been doing battle with the protesters. We have seen the water cannon in operation. Pepper spray being shot out by police as activists throw rocks, throw bottles. And there are injuries. The police say that 160 of their officers have been hurt in the last two days of battle. There has been a couple of dozen civilians hurt. We saw one go down. At least a couple dozen arrested. It is Something Like 100,000 protesters out here in the streets of hamburg. At one time or another, just a small group, militants, that are doing the damage. Battling with 20,000 police. The police say they need more help. They need more reinforcements. But they do say that the g20 talks have gone on pretty much undisturbed. First lady medical medical ma trump had to say inside because it was infinance on the street. The word from what we get from those who know what is going on tonight could be as dangerous andky as as what we saw last night. Trish greg, thank you very much. I would remind viewers, you see this a lot at these events. I remember being at the g8 in germany all protesters fathering there. This is only different because the protesters will get more attention because you have Vladmir Putin and donald trump meeting. So that means more cameras. So for them more action. Well talk about this coming up because one of the startling things in all of it, is that the mayor of new york city hopped a plane and went over there to join protest, instead of staying behind here in new york, to honor a Fallen Police officer. Were going to talk about that. Plus other big news of the day. Bangup jobs report. Not bad i would say. 222,000 jobs in june, far more than expected. We got a. Is little rally on our hands as a result. Much more intel after this. Trish all right. We got stocks moving higher, up triple digits upon release of strong june jobs report. What do you know, the u. S. Economy creating 222,000 jobs crushing wall street expectations of 179,000. Unemployment rate ticking up to 4. 2 . I will tell you there is a Little Silver lining in this. That is when people feel confident enough to go back into the workforce to look for a job, often you do see the Unemployment Rate tick higher. That is because people are getting back in. You had 360,000 people entering the workforce in the month of june. I want to go to adam shapiro live in washington with more on all of it. Hey, adam. Reporter trish, you remember the old twin peeks line, this is a dam fein cup of coffee . This is a damn fine jobs report. 222,000 jobs was much greater than expected as you pointed out. The unemployment ticked up because more people entered the workforce. That is one of the empty tricks weve been watching. Participation rate is still low but it has been for years but started to tick back up. The u6 number, talking wonky stuff, overall true Unemployment Rate is down to 8. 6 . A year ago it was 9. 9 . This is a very good jobs report. The only thing might be a pause or a red flag wages although they are growing are not growing at the kind of pace you would expect with this kind of tightening labor market. That is something the Federal Reserve has been paying attention to. They are concerned about the fact that wages are not keeping up with the labor market. So, we did get the monetary report from the labor market. Janet yellen will testify about this next week. The key thing people will Pay Attention to with a lot of other issues they remain accommodative. They said, several participants suggested that a slightly more accommodative path of Monetary Policy than in their previous projections would likely be appropriate citing a apparently slower right of progress toward the 2 inflation objective. In english, that 2 inflation would happen if wages were going up. Wages arent going up. So they stand ready to keep Interest Rate lows. Trish part of the problem were seeing 4. 4 unemployment. This is not the 4. 4 unemployment of years ago. Partly because, adam, president obama encourage ad parttime kind ever employment atmosphere, right . Because of obamacare. So many people were reduced to hours, became parttime workers. Sure theyre counted as employed but they may not be really totally employed. U6 is important to you watch. I like the fact that thing is coming down adam shapiro thanks so much. Joining me with more, wall street journal Senior Reporter shelby holiday, nicole petallides, and box bow advisors managing partner ted oakley. Nicole, what is reaction on the floor . How much by the way what is happening oversees also affecting what were seeing on the street . I would say this morning more really right off the bat what we saw here at home with the jobs report. Keen eye what is happening overseas. We got a little spooked yesterday with the north korea comments from President Trump but today there was a clear picture, trish, in the futures. The minute the jobs report came in and saw stronger than expected growth in the number of jobs added, then we saw the surge. In fact weve had strength all day long. Weve seen the dow turn positive for the week. Now were still hovering around the session highs. So that is some good news ultimately. Trish indeed. All right, i like this, you heard what i was saying there, shell by, about 4. 4 , right . In the old days 4. 4 would be really, really good. Thank you, president obama, we had influx of so many parttime workers i think it is more important to look the 8. 6 u6 rate overall as more accurate read because the wage inflation, it aint there yet. It is not there yet. Another number good to look at is the Labor Force Participation rate which is still hovering at fourdecade low. That is not great. Suggests there might be more slack in the labor market than we previously expected. It means more peoplearent working, particularly ablebodied americans. Our population is getting older. Trish i mean, people people still need to enter the workforce generally. It is tightening labor market. Not everyone working. Not just people retiring and getting older, ablebodied americans not in the workforce. Analysts say the market could be higher except you do have the wage, weak wage growth and also this not so great u6 number. Trish i wonder why there are not more ablebodied americans in the workforce right now, mr. Oakley . Is that because were so generous with things like disability benefits, in some ways we disincentivize good oldfashioned hard work . I think so, trish. I think you switched over from unemployment. Longer term unemployment. If you look at disability the last five years, it is really grown a lot. And the problem with employment reports today is that, youre not going wages. They dont make any money. You got 60,000dollar average paycheck for a family, what is that, 125 bucks a month. And you cant make that push into an economy and push that economy forward. That is where the fed really misses the point here is they dont really see what it is on main street. Trish okay. Walk me through this. What is it that they need to do to start expecting main street . Ted, they have been trying, they have been trying for a while. We have Interest Rates again still at historic lows for historic amount of time. What more can they do . Trish, a lot of people today that try to the affect the economy were growing up in 25 or 30 years ago in a different type of atmosphere than were in today. Numb about one, were debt overload in everything. You have had structural type of unemployment. You have people today, leaving jobs. I talked to a manufacturer yesterday. He said, hey, i could hire somebody for 75 grand but i can bring in a robot for 10000. Never pay overtime. What are you you doing with this one . He said im going to hire the robot. The other side we have develop a workforce out of the old style work mentality. We have to develop industries of workforce we can tell overseas and other places. It is a change obviously. President trump was right on point. He talked a lot of our companies they dont necessarily have all the qualifications theyre looking for. Really telling americans, up to you. Go get Skills Companies are looking for. The ones who really want might, we hope but that is part of it as well. Looking for qualified workers. Trish shelby, structural changes are not fun. Theyre not fun. There is evidence that productivity is not very strong right now. So that is also a fear for people who are watching the market. Trish all about the fed though. Well see what they do next. So good to see you all. Thank you, shelby. Thank you, ted. Our first time seeing you on the show here. Good to have you here. And nicole, thank you as well. We got protests in germany turning violent as new york city mayor de blasio heads to join the protesters, yeah, join them. For some reason the mayor of new york city is better off joining protesterss in germ any, protesters battling Police Officers instead of staying in new york city to attend a Police Officer swearingin ceremony. Would you think that is high priority for him . Apparently not. More after this. Trish violent anticapitalists protests breaking out on streets of hamburg, germany. This is happening a second day these are the pictures coming in to us. The anarchists are refusing to remove masks and protest peacefully. We learned guess who wants to join all of this . New york city mayor bill de blasio. He is going to be joining the protests tomorrow. Kind of amazing, right . He did skip a police swearingin ceremony to be in germany to join th
