that. give me this change! let's change as black people! when is this going to stop? when? neil: i think that's in the top ten youtube videos not too shabby for a guy the country was literally introduced to a little more than two months ago. that was then, this is now. he called protesters out then. he's calling reverend sharpton out. welcome back. >> thank you, neil. >> you are powerful remind me not to get on the other side of an argument with you. you were calling into question the idea of feeding the beast or the beastly reaction on the part of anyone at a time a riot and you held al sharpton accountable, what did you mean by that? >> i held him accountable as far as the leadership of where we are in this country when it comes to race relations. you have the power to bring unity or division. you understand what i'm saying? and especially being a minister, you have to understand what's not yours, i said that before. you understand it is by his will we live and move and have our being. you sir, have divided the country, and now we have a city that's still trying to rebuild to this day. and it will be disrespectful for me not to mention those who are out there trying to rebuild, the business owners that are picking up the pieces. it will be disrespectful not to mention that. neil: i guess what i'm wondering is shouldn't al sharpton be there for them right now? >> that's my point. you understand the man takes the weakness of african-american communities and use it for his personal gain. you understand? because six months later when we all need to come together now, not back then but now, now is the time now is the time that we have a whole entire city that looks like a ghost town that needs to be rebuilt. where are they? you understand? we have a movement talking about black lives matter causing confusion. help me understand that. you understand this? this city. these business owners that have nothing that are digging in their own pockets, okay? trying to build themselves back up where they used to be but yet we have a movement that he created talking about black lives matter. black lives matter in ferguson where they need you right now. you understand what i'm saying? that's why i don't support it. i'll get more in detail why i don't support black lives matter, all lives matter. neil: we touched on this before how is it he seems to be the default go-to guy of the african-american community or the media made him that. and guys like you have a different point of view. in the name of terrance ballard but everybody. guys like you articulate a gritty view of life that is not heard generally in the media. >> for one, and it's unfortunate, not just in the african-american community a lot of people can't think for themselves. i'm a man who relies on god's dependence, the holy spirit for dependence. so we have to rely on him each and every day. this man is causing more division than i've seen anyone than i've ever seen in my life. have you to understand, this is why i say all lives matter and this is why i say humanity and represent humanity across the board. the young man in north carolina looking for a tie, he went to target looking for a clippon tie, those who want to take out of context and make race an issue, those whole target employees were not black. this young man was looking for a job, he was going to a job interview. these people helped him. let's go to james robertson in detroit. this young man created a fund that donated over $260,000 to a man who walked 26 miles each and every day to work. it is a humanity thing. i don't understand why it's only a black life matter issue when it comes to a whole humanity, when it comes to us helping each other. because we could see that we could do that. you understand what i'm saying? that's why i don't support the black lives matter. don't talk about segregation when you are only segregating yourself. neil: what do you think of the entertainers, we just saw the grammy awards the hands up don't shoot thing. how do you feel about that? >> that was, to me again like a lot of the artists are, i respect their craft but have you to understand that first off hands up don't shoot didn't occur in ferguson. that did not happen. you are exploiting something that never occurred. you understand? i'm sick of the victimizing. black people are victimized. i'm sick of it! because we're living in a country now where we give a helping hand to everyone of all race you understand? that's what bothers me about a lot of the artists, you want to use the propaganda for foolishness and have you millions that you can't help the black community if you need to! you give a thousand dollars to a stripper but roll up the window when you see a homeless man. let me understand the logic. we're living in an age when we need to give a helping hand. that's what we are, it doesn't matter about race. that's why i have beef with al sharpton and his posse. you keep making things a race issue when it is not a race issue. ferguson was not a race issue. you and your posse came in there and made it a race issue. now the hurt, broke busted and can't be trusted, but you still are disappeared somewhere in the woodworks where they need you right now, but yet you're not going to come around because that's not what you're about. you used it for personal gain for yourself. these business owners and i pray for them, i do, a lot of the business owners picked up the pieces. i saw the segment with the gentleman that had his own exercise boot camp. he said i went into my own personal savings, and he asked, where are those who six months ago? he said i don't see any of them now. neil: wow. >> i did this on my own. because my community wanted me to keep these doors open. people like him should be acknowledged. people like him should be recognized. you understand? and a lot of others in that community. my hearts go out to all of them for those pick up the pieces. but for those who still want to make it a race issue when it is not, whoa unto you, we're calling good evil and evil good, putting dark for lightness and light for darkness. calling bitter sweet and sweet bitter. we're living in isaiah 5:20. we are coming to terms that god is our pinnacle. we have to look at him for the resources of what we need today. it is him. it is him. this country is so divided and it makes me sick, because if you go to the middle east, you see what's happening. here we are still arguing about race. and it's sickening. we have a president that can't even acknowledge an organization that's cutting off children's heads and women's bodies burning them up! you have to understand where we are, as a nation, and what god wants. we have a president that can't even acknowledge isis for who they really are. neil: there is a debate on there. certainly is a debate on that minister. that's a separate conversation for us. but it's always good having you, and especially now with the rebuilding going on in ferguson. take care of yourself, and thank you for offering another point of view. it's out there. and you speak it well. mr. jonathan gentry. this woman in boston digs herself out. global warming alarmaists insist this is climate change weird considering one year ago the "new york times" screamed this in the headline the end of snow. google says snow is a thing of the past. well, apparently the headlines across the northeast proclaiming record snow has not jibed with that. energy expert chris warner columnist jimmy melt zer says columnists have their heads in the cloud. what do you think what's going on, jillian, whether the "new york times" jumped the gun or what? >> i think it's pretty clear they jumped the gun on this. i don't know how they expected it to pan out differently. i mean we're talking about new york city here a couple weeks ago, de blasio shut down the subway, it was just terrible. we couldn't accurately predict that. weather and climate are two difficult things to predict as the "new york times" article is demonstrating. neil: those who argue a year ago, chris, the way we look at things will be different and the way we see snow will be different, but did clearly spell out snow as we know it just won't be around or as much of it. so they got that one wrong right? >> they're not alone, remember it's been at least 15 years since the media have been writing for example in the year 2000 our children won't know what snow is. you cannot reconcile that with this is what we meant all along. they wouldn't know what they were digging out of so often. neil: it wasn't that long ago when i was a much younger man, when i can remember worried about the big freeze in the late 70s and leonard nimoy documentaries talking about the world covered in ice. is that the consensus, you of the scientific community and now the opposite of the scientific community. be careful glomming onto something that is 100%? >> it was a cooling panic, now a warming panic we had mild winters and they said god is angry, and it will make it worse and make it stop. if you search the term first casualty of global warming, you will see several hundred, but the most prominent is winter and winter weather when. winter returned they said this is what we meant. and then last year and this year so you'll see it's not reconcilable. what i'm calling it now is extreme so we can claim it's your fault again. neil: we're living in the moment. a horrific couple of weeks of snow, double, triple the averages particularly the northeast. we glom onto that that this is the new bona fide natural state of things. it could change that's why they call it climate change. >> it could certainly change. what's interesting is they're using it to drive agenda that attacks traditional energy sources. in winters like this that's when we need it. natural gas, the explosion of that in the united states has dropped utility bills by $1200 a month, critical and benefitting the environment by cutting carbon emissions. this is one place where policy is mismatch kth reality and where we're basing our policy not on good science. neil: thank you, this snow is getting long in the tooth for some people. that depends how you define the recovery. it certainly has been real but it could be running out of steam. maybe in the 2016 election. who knows? former obama economic adviser austen goolsbee watching this closely. austen, what do you think that recoveries by their very nature don't run ad nauseum, but this one could lose steam by 2016. what do you think? >> yeah, i hope that doesn't happen, but it is true that the average recovery lasts about four years and 11 months. the nbr keeps track of those things. that already passed. we're in a nice long recovery, coming out of a not nice deep recession, and there's a lot of scary things in the world slowing down in china. europe is dancing around meltdown. i think by 2016 at the least you could say there's a decent chance that it's not going to be the booming fountain of opportunity. neil: you and i have gotten into, this austen given the severe recession we were coming out of and the subpar nature that's recovered, compared to other recoveries. that it could drag on. that is the recovery longer than we think. do you think that has a good possibility? >> i think, look, we have gone on longer than average. now the subpar nature of the recovery after financial crisis, that's largely over. this last year is a pretty solid boom year compared with previous boom years. neil: so if you had to crunch you would say to expect this to continue for another couple of years would be a little extreme? >> i would say if i had to bet, i'd say it would continue but at a modest pace, you know the recovery, it will feel somewhat like recovery but it won't be as booming as what -- neil: if you are hillary clinton, if hillary or whoever the democratic nominee is would they be fearing that all good things or better things or off the map things come to an end? >> they should be fearing it. like you say, the thing is a cycle, and it can't it will not go on forever. now, i think there's a second piece here that a lot of people are looking and saying, even if the economy does well, what about middle class incomes? and so you see in a lot of the policy attention on that. let's not forget, it may not be booming the way everyone wants it to. let's not forget the first part of that. neil: austen, always good seeing you, even remotely. colder than it is here, in chicago. thank you, my friend. >> thanks. >> that whole isis thing is so overblown. really?
