Heres the reason to do it. What happens when somebody gets a drivers license . Theyre far more likely to get insurance on the vehicle theyre going drive. Where are they going to get the money from . Neil youre making the assumption with the license theyre insureed . Not insured with the license. We have the data. California went through this for years, if they take the trouble to get a license and have a car, theyre far more likely to have insurance. Neil i love you to death. And i think thats what economic bubbles and the crises. Neil how close are we to that limit . I agree with you, 18 trillion in debt, we would have passed that limit already. If we knew where it was, we could make a lot of money. Were closer than anyone suspects. There is no learning coming from the administration, that what the fed is doing, and even the mania in the stock market today, to me, looks like 2008 and looks like were making the same mistake and blaming the wrong factors and inputs and not fixing the fact we have a spending problem. Were monetizing congress bad behavior through the fed. Neil im looking at argentina. I dont seem to see this being a reenactment of the late 70s and early 80s. I see us whistling past the graveyard to your point, and i dont know what the Tipping Point would be, to your point, wed all be rich if we did. I did see a cavalierly continuing our business as usual, and eventually, eventually, the world losing faith in us and it will be reflected in our having to pay a lot higher Interest Rates to keep them investing in us . The dollar is no longer the world standard, and its because weve abused the value of the dollar. And whats so insidious about it is the almost reverse robin hood transfer of wealth from some players in wall street that know how to game the system away from people with fixed assets, away from seniors that just have dollars in their wallet.
