magic continues at santa's wonderland in bass pro shops. where kids can enjoy arcades, a slotar track make a craft and even get their picture with santa, all for free. time passes. hold on to christmas. boss . > boston college up 8-9 here. we've seen the return of their best playing, rakim sanders. getting into the flow of the flex offense, such good size. he's able to get inside and he's done a nice job of attacking the rim. that's going to be the jump shot. is he a prototypical al skinner type player. we might remind everybody he's from rhode island. he might be motivated. >> just a little. i believe he touched it. it will be awarded to boston college. i think a number of rhode island rams thought, perhaps, biko paris may have touched the ball. he did not. >> and i think rhode island is the last time to touch. he might have deflected. i don't like that long backcourt pass. he's just insigciting disaster. >> trapani, the type of player, can really open up the low post when effective. he starts hitting that midrange jumper, even the outside jumper, then life inside can become much easier for bc. >> i think delroy james is tough cover for him. long, athletic, can stay on him in the perimeter and match him down low. >> raji not there. martell clears it into the hands of delroy james. those long gaits we're talking about. boston college sets their defense, though, forces rhode island to go into the halfcourt situation. >> it's kind of a mini rush. they forced rhode island to get into the backcourt. >> very rare you would see an al skinner team undisciplined on getting back on defense. boston college gets it after the third rhode island turnover. >> that was not a great angle for ulmer to get the ball into the low post. one dribble down to the baseline. he could have thrown a bounce pass because martell had an angle. >> jones has been replaced by steve mejia, sophomore out of lawrence academy. players from hometowns playing against each other, high school. another turnover. this time the press. very rarely have they been able to set it up. >> the inbound pass they'll cramp immediately on that first pass. they get a lot of deflections on this defense. and then the long home run pass. raji unable to come up with it. even though they turn it over on the end, on the other side it was a dead ball turnover on the end line which allowed rhode island to get into their press. >> mejia is only 5'9". you can usually find a few cracks in penetration in the halfcourt set. pick and roll at the outset. there's a strong move. oh, what a move by delroy james. a little brooklyn in that reversal. his first bucket. >> and that's a tough cover because josh southern was faced up against him out on the perimeter. and james recognized that and did a beautiful move with the pump fake. >> another steal. the pressure now coming to the forefront. mejia gets the easy tip-in. >> reggie jackson trying to feed it off the dribble. i'm talking about the pressure. that's not always the best way to go. >> reaching in, keith cothran picks up the foul. his first, the senior from nearby new haven, connecticut. the look again. just trying to do things, as we talked about, the long limbs they have. cothran doing a nice job of getting the steal. you know, we talked about bc dictating pace in the first four minutes. these last four it's been rhode island. >> ulmer off the steal. he's fouled by trapani. >> you could see the body language change for the rams already, al skinner watching things on the sidelines. you've got to avoid throwing it into the corner like that. that's just -- that's the death zone of a trap. >> we've certainly seen rhode island's best. jen has more on that pressure. >> jen: talking to the players today, it was very clear this pressure defense is what this team hangs its team on. it's where everything starts for them. keith cothran told me, he said the biggest thing he was worried about was matching bc's toughness and intensity. it definitely start with these guys right there on defense. >> the thing is what rhode island has to do, since they don't take a lot of threes, they have to take more possessions and they do that with turnovers. that part is paying off for them in this stretch of the game. >> rhode island leads by two. harris being doinged by mejia. >> the other point is once you keep that pressure, if you show poise, teams are shooting 47% against rhode island. so the offense is there if you can get past the first wave. southern rejected. nice play by ulmer, senior, notre dame prep out of new haven. >> a good slip of the screen right here. southern just a little slow in getting the ball up. he had a tough night against harvard. >> mike: rogers down in the low post hasn't gotten a touch in this game. >> tim\: he >> he tried to pick it up. ryan outerbridge slapped that one away. >> mike: we talked about the blocks and raji going in with his left hand, unable to get the ball up. in an effort to retrieve it, stepped on the baseline. >> tim: outerbridge, sophomore from boston area, new hampton school. looking for a high pick. he gets it from outerbridge. another great spin move. the iron unkind and pulled down by raji. gets it into the hands of biko paris. trapa trapani, floater, not there. raji with the answer. >> mike: raji is so good on the glass, averaging eight per. 58% shooting. they never want to play for him. >> tim: well, that sweet soft shot of delroy james. he's got five. and the uri lead is three. >> mike: only a 22% shooter coming in from three. big difference between home and road. >> tim: it's stripped away by the bik
