And we reported on the history and rise of isis. In the coming weeks on afterwards, republican congressman will talk about his time as chairman of his committee on oversight and government reform. Karen greenberg, Director Center of National Security at Fordham University will report on steps taken by the department of justice to combat terrorism since september eleventh. Also coming up, eric fair will discuss his time in iraq working as an interrogator for a private military contractor. This weekend, Manhattan Institute sr. Fellow, Heather McdonaldHeather Mcdonald looks at the state of policing in america. What we hear from the black lives Matter Movement is that cops are racist. That they are in minority neighborhoods and oppressing people in those communities. Presumably it would be out of win. There is never any explanation as to why officers would be in those communities. So im simply adopting a phrase that is often handed about black lives matter protesters. I go to these protests and i see the signs that say, racist killer cop, kkk cop. Theyre cop. Theyre suggesting that cops are motivated by racial animosity and the actions they take. Afterwards airs on book tv on 9 00 p. M. Eastern. I have a great reading list for the summer. One of the things im starting with this the constitution. So many of my constituents are reading through the constitution and the sacral declaration. Theyre doing that with their kids this summer. We are going to have some fun with that, do some things working toward constitution day. I think that is exciting. That so many families are going back and looking at the First Principles and founding documents. So thats at the top the list. Some other things too, there is a daniels book i want to read, bringing out the best in people. I think every once in a while, to get out a new perspective on how to lead a team, i always say you lead people and you manage assets. I have always been a big fan of the covey books with the leadership principles. I have read a review or two of this and i think that one is going to be a good one tree. Kind of motivational. So that is on there. Theres an interesting book to and it is. [inaudible] and it looks at the mathematics and sciences behind occurrences so i want to read fluke.
