this is a daughter. you are on television with me. i'm doing an interview and i have to hang up. sweetheart, i will call you back and i adore you. do you hear me? by. i have daughters. >> guest: five daughters, one son. >> guest: this one is one of twins. she's at vassar and the other one is at harvard. they are 20. they will be 20 next week. >> host: are those your youngest? >> guest: those are my youngest. my oldest is 68. >> host: and you are 90 to? how is your health? >> guest: 92. my health is pretty good. >> host: people for the american life. how did that come about? >> guest: i was watching the beginning of, there was an influx of television ministries has good jerry falwell? >> guest: jerry falwell, pat robertson, jimmy swaggart, ted baker etc. and the mixture of politics and religion, i thought not my america. that's exactly what i did as a psa of public service announcement. i did put a camera on a working guy who said he and his family, his wife and kids talk about politics at dinner all the time. they disagree about a lot of things. now come these ministers that agree with him and say that he is a better christian than his wife because he thinks politically the way they think. and he says there has to be something wrong when anybody tells you you are a good or bad christian depending on your political point of view. father hesburgh fell in love with allen. i showed it to him and he sent me to a number of other church leaders and in somebody's office, somebody said -- people from the american way came about as a result of the public service announcement? >> host: is still in existence today? >> guest: i wake up many mornings and read a newspaper it and not thing got it there. young elected officials. there are now something over a thousand young elected officials who are holding offices as mayors or aldermen are councilmen. three of them are in that congress of the united states now. it's doing very well. .. >> the. >>
