Let me see if i can put it in perspective theres been 355 Mass Shootings this year and we are only on calendar day 336. This has really got to stop. All right. Thats all i can say. Anyhow, enough talking about the shootings from this year, lets talk about one from last year. This morning the Chicago Police chief has been fired amid outrage over the videotaped killing of a black teenager by a police officer. Finally something its starting to happen in this tragic shooting. Remember the cop shot yeah, i dont know if we want to clap for it but he shot the teenager Laquan Mcdonald 16 times, multiple times when he was on the ground it was clear in the video i dont know why it took so long to get tired. It took 400 days to release the video after the judge ordered them to do so. 400 days . It took 400 days to release the video. Back when the video was shot the nightly show wasnt on the air. Donald trump wasnt a candidate and people convinced themselves that Meghan Trainor was going to be a thing i dont remember the song. Was it give me the candy butt . Im pretty sure it was give me the candy butt. It was a good song. It took 400 days. What else should we know about this . All this as mayor rahm emanuel is in the middle of the most contentious chicago mayoral race since the 1980s. He wins, eight days later hes there as the City Council Votes without debate to award lak montanas family 5 million. The city pays the Mcdonald Family even before the investigation is complete and though the family had not filed a wrongful together lawsuit. Larry hold and a second. A chicago mayor in a heated election, tape lost and millions of city money being doled out after elections. You know what this sounds like whats the phrase how do you say . Cover up. Cover up. Its not just the police video there was another video recorded at like a burger king that may have captured the whole incident but then this happened. Police came into the restaurant shortly after the shooting, demanded access to the video system and then the next day when the district manager came to look at the footage it was gone.
