Two Aerial Search planes spotted debris from who officials believe may be an airliner that went missing with 54 people on board. The plans to send two ground teams to the location in the province of papua now suspended due to weather. Lets turn to cnns kathy novak now for the latest. Reporter christine, the teams tell us they are 95 sure the debris is from the plane that went missing yesterday, but they cannot get to it. The ground teams are stuck on a mountain 11,000 feet high. It is foggy and rainy and past 6 00 p. M. In the indonesian province of papua. It is too dark to do anything else. The search has been suspended until morning. Two planes spotted this debris. They are still looking for big pieces of debris. They were told by villagers that the villagers saw the plane crash into the mountain and they saw the wreckage. The problem is just getting to it. It is very rugged terrain. To give you an idea of how rugged, planes have gone down in the area in the past and the wreckage has never been found. Devastating for the loved ones of the 54 people on board, including five children. They are waiting another night to get any news. They were being told there is still a chance someone may have survived, but the likelihood is very slim given the situations they are facing. A heart breaking situation. So much waiting. An army sky diver has died from injuries he suffered when a stunt at the chicago air and water show went wrong. 32yearold specialist corey hood collided in mid air with another performer.
