They are part of the 1. 2 Million People living there in the path of this monster storm right now and we know over the weekend the commander of the air base sent out an alarm. Its the strongest to hit the island in 15 years. Anything not tied down could turn into a deadly projective. 70,000 people are without power on okinawa right now. 14,000 passengers have been grounded because of canceled flights at three different airports. The worst isnt over. After this moves beyond the okinawa area, the next destination is mainland japan.
