All eyes are on this meeting to see if the two can come up with any workable solution to this crisis. Earlier this morning, Democratic Texas representative henry celluar says the president needs to travel and see the crisis for himself. Look, if hes afraid if he goes down to the border and hes going to own the situation, let me tell you, he cant hide from this because he can do this Long Distance the way hes doing it, hes still going to own the situation. And like i said, a leaders going to be defined by how he or she handles a situation, a crisis, and this is certainly a humanitarian crisis that were facing down at the border. We are covering the story as only cnn can from washington all the way to texas. Chief Congressional Correspondent dana bash has more on the show down meeting between president obama and his onetime president ial opponent, Texas Governor rick perry. Reporter oh to be a fly on the wall, president obama will meet with gop Texas Governor rick perry, obamas chief antagonist on the crisis at perrys border. My message to president obama is to secure this border, mr. President. Finally address this issue and secure this border. Reporter what perry really wanted was not a private meeting, but a public trip, together, to the boarder to give the president a firsthand look at the affects of thousands of children flooding to the u. S. Illegally. Obama will be in texas in part for a pair of political fundraisers. Meeting with perry is a compromise of sorts. Following public sparring. Including the president s spokesman mocking the governors message from the white house podium. The truth is its hard to take seriously governor perrys concerns. Reporter perry has been so outspoken against the immigration policies, he even floated conspiracy theories. I have to believe that when you do not respond in any way, that you are either inept or you have some al tier your motive of which you are functioning from. Reporter he never expanded on what that obama al tier your motive would be. With all eyes focussed on his state, perry is seeing the political stars align, taking on the president on an issue, immigration that sources close to perry tell cnn caused him the most political damage during his last run for president. I dont think you have a heart. Reporter defending state funded tuition for illegal imgraduates turned off gop primary voters, and allowed the nominee to take a devastating shot at perry. You say you have the experience, its a bit like saying the College Coach thats lost 40 games in a row has the experience to go to the nfl. Reporter who can forget one of the most memorable gaffes in modern political history . Commerce, and lets see, i cant, the third one, i cant, sorry. Oops. Reporter perry told the lead earlier this year, back surgery and pain medication were to blame. Anyone who watched that campaign knows a very humbling time for me. Reporter this is the new rick perry, openly trying to redeem himself as a smart, capable politician. And panther have i open that hes considering another president ial run in 2016. He realizes a big problem four years ago is that he wasnt prepared on a policy level. Not only does the border crisis and the state allow him to get on the right side of his gop base on immigration, brianna, he also is working hard to bone up on other issues. Sources ive talked to close to perry say that hes multiple believes, you name it trying to be as prepared to take the job of the man who hes going to meet with today and that is the president. He wants to be ready just in case. Its just clear how Many Political forces there are at play here, dana, youre spelling it out there. Stick around, were going to bring in senior White House Correspondent right now. We have, we have so many folks i cant keep up, the camera cant keep up with me. She is along the board in mission, texas. Todd gillman, he is Washington Bureau chief with the dallas morning news. And we have cnn political comment at a timer maria cardona. Jim, you, president obama is asking for 3. 7 billion to handle this crisis, but then, you know, saying that kids who are coming across the border, they cant stay if the money isnt going to really deal with them. Well, some of it is being used. What are the other things we see this funding request, what would it be used for . Well, almost half of that 3. 7 billion, brianna, would go for caring for those unaccompanied minors. They need a place to stay and the administration at this point cannot say, definitively how long theyll be staying in this country because as you know, brianna, the law is different when you talk about migrants coming from mexico, the law basically says they can be turned around and sent home immediately, but if they come from Central America or noncon tig white house countries, they can be allowed to stay and entered into the refugee system in this country. That takes longer, thats where these kids from honduras and guatemala are in right now. Now, the administration is also talking about devoting resources to its stepped up Border Security, and even some surveillance. They want to fly unmanned drones over the Rio Grande Valley there and across the southwestern border where all these folks are pouring in. So there is a lot of money being thrown at this problem, but quite honestly, and danica talked to this as well, its pretty shocking to see the president unveil this proposal and within hours, republicans up on capitol hill are saying, high profile republicans are saying this is not going to happen. Theyre not going to give a blank check as theyre calling it to this white house to deal with this issue. And so the president is in a very, very big fix beyond just this question of whether or not he should go to the border. All right, and ed, lets talk about this. Right now the president says hes not going to show up at these border facilities. What is the sense there in texas of whether he should . You know, its a good question. I dont, i think people who live down in the border would very much like to see that youve heard several congressman from that region whove expressed that over the last few days. But i think, you know, by and large, people are much more focussed on how does this crisis come to an end now . And if that requires the president , you know, traveling to the border region and going through some of those detention centers, then thats what needs to be done. But i think people are much more focussed and concerned about where we go from here. Maybe theyre not getting hung up on all the is he going to the border, is he not going to the border . Thats where you are, youre along the rio in mission, texas, immigrants risking their lives. Talk about the kids in this situation. The president says they cant stay, but obviously they stay for a while before having a deportation hearing. Whats that pros like of sending an unaccompanied, say fiveyearold back to their country . You know brianna it is a complex pros. And i think thats why everybody is talking about it. Nobody really knows how this process is going to work. How these children are going to be sent back or, you know, if theyre going to be sent back or anything like that. What i can tell you though is that here in the border it is the talk of the town, everybodys talking about the situation, we are seeing a lot of Border Patrol activity here. The presence is very heightened here, were on the river, and weve seen a number of Border Patrol boats and also helicopters pretty much all morning long just going through, looking to see if anybody is trying to cross. And its, its really not nonstop here, brianna. All right, and dana, lets bring you back in here to talk about this. The president wants 3. 7 billion for this problem. Thats what hes proposing to congress, but hes not just having problems with republicans, hes having problems with democrats. Like congressman cellar, heres part of what he said. All right, i guess we dont, i guess we do not have the sound there, but basically it struck me what the congressman said because he was saying the president needs to come down and he needs to lead and come down to the border. We have the sound now, lets go ahead and roll that. Ive been very straightforward on this, i as appropriate rater, i want to review what hes going to give us. We cant trust the president and say were going to give you every penny you want to, but do i want to support him . Yes, of course i want to support the president of the united states, but we have a right as congress to review the proposal that hes given us. Because keep in mind, this didnt happen last night. This is something thats been happening over a year, and therefore, we want to review exactly what hes talking about. So dana, talk about this, you see him there saying he wants to support the president , but even a democrat is having miss givings about the fine print here in the president s proposal. Not just that, brianna, he said we cant just trust the president. This is a democrat saying we cant just trust the democratic president. Boy if they dont sum up whats going on and the things that the president is up against on capitol hill, nothing does. Look, part of the reason why this is so complicated is because the president is asking for this money and both sides are wanting policy changes to go along with that. The republicans want policy changes that are traditional on their kree toe when it comes to immigration. Be more robust on Border Security and so forth. Democrats, many of them are concerned that the policy right now that jim was talking about that allows kids or anybody who come illegally from mexico or canada to go right back, but those who come from Central America to have a hearing, Many Democrats are concerned about that policy changing. They dont want the kids from Central America to be able to, as one told me, just go through a revovling door and sent right back. Thats why you have all of these forces that are contradict ri. You see up there this hearing we were talking about thats beginning right now. Tom coburn who is the ranking republican on this committee who said on cross fire last night that this is so much money if you look at it the, its 0,000 a kid, he said we could spend money on first class tickets to fly them all back to their homes and it would cost half as much. Not even half as much. That gives you a sense of where some of the republicans are with regard to just the actual money. Can you fact check that for me real quick, thats a lot of money, but, when you look at that, some of it has to do with, you know, tampaing down the miss information that smugglers are giving people, deterring smugglers, cracking down on them, its not fair to say its 60,000 a kid, right . Thats right. I mean, like jim was saying, the money is going towards some of it, is going towards dealing with the refugee crisis and dealing with the children who are already in this country illegally, but a lot of it is is aimed at going for Border Security at going for bringing them back to their countries, helping to get them ree mercied in their countries and so forth. Youre exactly right, but the reason why i brought that up is because it really illustrates and speaks to the very, very deep divide over, not just the policy, but also the money that the president wants. Yeah, no doubt, it is a lot of money when youre asking for almost 4 billion. Hang tight guys, were going to continue this conversation. Right now as we speak, the Senate Homeland Security Committee wants answers on the border crisis testifying at the hearing will be the heads of federal emergency, fema, the federal Emergency Management agency, Border Patrol, several very ranking members, high ranking members of the Homeland Security and health and Human Services departments. We will be monitoring this hearing all morning, and well be back in adjust moment with some of it. Nineteen years ago, we thought, wow, how is there no way to tell the good from the bad . During the cadillac summers best event, lease this 2014 ats for around 299 a month and make this the summer of style. All right this is what we are monitoring right now, happening on capitol hill. This is the Senate Hearing on the border crisis. We are just beginning to watch the opening testimony here. Were monitoring this, and we will bring you what should be a fiery, certainly very interesting hearing. Well bring you some of that. Now i want to get back to our discussion on the border crisis. Lets bring in todd gillman, hes the Washington Bureau chief from the dallas morning news. Todd, you are pretty familiar with this topic because of the outlet that you work for. This is not an overnight crisis. Do you think the government should have seen this coming . Well, they absolutely have seen much of this coming. And the white house has been trying to spin this for the past week or so since it really erupted as we did see this coming and thats why weve been pushing reform and thats why in their version of the finger pointing, theyve been pointing at the republicans and trying to shift some of the heat on to the republicans for having blocked comprehensive reform. You havent played the clip just now, but josherness said a josh earnest said a few times if rick perry would pick up the phone and put some pressure on Texas Republicans in the house who have helped block comprehensive reform. Now you know theres finger pointing in both ways, this specific crisis was not really anticipated, but if we had more resources on the border, maybe some of this could have been mitigated earlier. Theres an argument made that we are nabbing all of these people coming across the border, doesnt that mean the that the Border Security itself is in place. Maybe theres a more cyst termic problem going on in Central America and we havent been doing now diplomatically or in terps of Economic Development down there. And maria, one of the things that president obama is dealing with today is, and its clear the white house realizes they have a problem with the visuals. Hes in texas, hes not going to the border, what, there is a calculation being made here. What does he have to lose by going to the border . Well, i think the focus right now for the white house, brianna, is on actually trying to solve the problem at hand to try to take politics out of it which is nearly almost impossible to do, but also to make sure that the resources that are being put at the border to focus on this problem continue to focus on this problem. Brianna, you know better than anybody what it takes when the president travels. The president goes to the border right now, its going to be incredibly disruptive, theres going to be resources that are going to be pulled from the problem at hand to make sure that this trip will be able to happen. Thats not what the white house wants right now, they want to focus on the solutions. I think hit does need to go, i think he will go, but right now, he wants to focus on the solutions at hand, and republicans need to work with him to make sure that the, the 3. 7 billion in resources that hes asking for is given in its totality, or at least close to its totality and you know republicans cant have it both ways. They cant scream about the house being on fire, and then cut off the water supply to try to put that fire out. So they need to work with this president to make sure that solutions are happening. Yeah, washington certainly does need to get something done, but i will say the outlook is not good here. Todd gillman, maria, thank you so much to both of you. Still to come, a hearing set for today for a u. S. Marine held since march in a mexican jail. Sergeant andrew ty more si spoke about the hearing and what he says was the thanks led to his arrest. Family members of of a marine jailed in mexico for over three months are hopeful that he will be released soon. A hearing is set for today for Sergeant Andrew tahmooressi, arrested in march for crossing the board we are firearms in his vehicle. He has a permit for the three guns, which are legal in the u. S. And says that he crossed into mexico by accident. He spoke yesterday with cnns jake tapper. Basically whats going to happen is im going to give my statement to the judge and then two of the Border Patrol officers that were supposedly there that night with me are going to give their statement as well. And hopefully the judge will see that my story is probably, you know, maybe like 99 accurate or 100 accurate and thoir stories are like 15 or 20 accurate. Cnns nick parker joining me from tijuana with more on the story, will the court show leniency and release this man . Reporter well brianna, what we understand from his defense team who spoke to you last night, this is just a very preliminary evidentiary hearing, and at this stable, they do not expect him to be released today. The proceedings are expected to begin in about four hours from now in the federal courthouse just behind me. Were expecting Andrew Tahmooressi to be brought in from his prison. In a prison van wra where hell enter, then be transferred to the courthouse. Now this is his first real opportunity to the actually present his side of the story about what happened on that night of march 31st. And his defense team says that his initial address will begin the hearings. His defense team is asking him a question or two, and the prosecution is also allowed to cross examine here, the defense team expects him to plead mexicos version of the fifth amendment. And not incriminate himself. Certainly his defense team are going to be focussing on that night, and theyre going to be on the one hand mounting a traditional defense in that he did not intend top bring through these three guns and ammunition. There was a lack of intent in the act, but also be looking at the issue of a possible botched arrest and refocussing very specifically on the time he spent with customs agents at the border. This is what he said. How will you justify keeping somebody there for seven plus hours for what purpose . If he was under arrest, he should have been delivered to the federal Prosecutors Office immediately under article 16 of the mexican constitution. Reporter now mexican authorities do maintain that they had very clear warnings and that he was not allowed to bring in guns into mexico. And that ignorance of the law does not excuse responsibility. Brianna. All right, nick parker in tijuana, thank you for that. Still to come, the battle to reform the nations immigration laws. Its bringing together people of faith from all backgrounds. Ill talk with one of them about why this issue has resinated across religious lines. When sales rep Steve Hatfield books at laquinta. Helping this big country move ahead as one Norfolk Southern hows that function . Good morning, im Brianna Keilar in for carroll. Thanks for joining me. In a bid to find a solution to the immigration crisis, president obama will sit down in texas today not only with elected officials, but also with faith leaders who have become north carolinaingly involved in the increasingly involved. Good morning to you, reverend, thanks for being with us to talk about this issue that is stretched from the halls of congress all the way to the town of california where protesters forced bus loads of detained imgraduates to reroute to san diego. And also in a piece for time magazine, reverend, you said quote, the church cannot be silent as angry groups of people stoking flames of fear scream at buses filled with children and women. Intelligent and well meaning people can disagree on the best way forward to this humanitarian and immigration crisis. All will agree that screaming at children caught in an inescapable web of international relations, construction, human traffickers, and stagnation on Immigration Reform isnt the way forward. When you see this, what are your thoughts. Well my thoughts are, brianna, first, thanks for covering this, is that we can do better. We can do better as a nation. The evangelical community, we have a scripture to welcome the widow, orphaned, and stranger. These are both or fans sometimes, and the stranger. So i think that our policies should reflect our noblist and jealous and highest ideals which is a humanitarian and due process for these children as the plieks are worked out of Immigration Reform. Its interesting when you look at religious scriptures, reverend, there are many pails of migration and also, i guess sort of Human Dignity in these stories. How does the issue of immigration impact people who follow scriptures very closely . Well immigration is one of the major topics in scriptture scripture. Even the people of israel and the kpo dus, jesus himself was a migrant when he was fleeing persecution. Hebrews tells us to remember hospitality and remember the stranger, and jesus himself said the way we treat the stranger is the way we treat him. So we have to have a policy thats humane and that is a comprehensive way forward that deals with the sending countries, stainability, Economic Development, and when the children arrive here, treat them as humanitarianly and compassionately as we can. Screaming at children is not a best reflection of it who we are as a nation. When you look at the messages that folks on different sides of this debate are putting out there, do you see much of faith coming, do you see that sort of in the narrative here . Or not really . Well, i think we can do better, but i am thankful for groups like the evangelical immigration table thats been working for over three years, groups like world vision and world relief, were not talking about fixing the crisis, were also helping these countries in honduras, el salvador to provide security, education, and relief. What we dont want is using children as a political pingpong for inaction, the blame game doesnt help anybody. We want real leadership, humanitarian leadership and real policies that addresses the route crosses of violence, gang violence, and economic stainability nb these countries. If you were in this meeting taetd with president obama, what would you say to him . Well, i would say what i said to him a few weeks ago when i was with him in the white house. And Vice President biden, is that we need to have a comprehensive approach that partners with descending countries to make sure the children are protected, and while theyre here, treat them humanitarianly. The truth is that if we just treating the symptoms and not the root causes, were going to have this. You can increase Border Patrol, but you need to address the due processes and treat these children. They are created in the image of god and need to be treated humanitarianly. Thank you so much, reverend gabriel, really appreciate your perspective. Thank you, brianna. Whistle blowers throughout the department of Veterans Affairs say they are the targets of retaliation. The department is now investigating more than five dozen claims of retaliation that came out at a house hearing on tuesday night. This comes at a bad time from the agency, its trying to recover of inadequate care and department miss mismanagement. I have disclosed the wrong doings that i found promptly to the chief of staff, and to the chief of mental health, with the expectation that they would address it and what i found is that nothing has really changed. As late as june, just two weeks ago, the response to my finding about these evaluations that were not done properly was to just detail my elsewhere. So this seems to be an ongoing practice. Retaliation exists because as a culture, this culture of retaliation, thats cancer to the veteran administration. Im not afraid to be taken out. I do hope if i am taken out, someone will take care of my family, but i think people need to speak up. And we shouldnt be isolated, os tra sized, and the level of defamation, notice that every time theres a whistle blower, usually an email that follows, well this persons not getting a bonus so theyre upset. This person didnt get the raise they wanted, so, you know, they can be suspect. This person didnt do this. They always defame. They defame, they isolate, usually they transfer you to another position. Why . Because theyre slowly building a case if they dont have one already to say that youre crazy. Independent agency says more than two dozen of those retaliation complaints came since the beginning of june. And still to come, who wants to take on germany after they just demolished brazil . We have a preview of todays big match that will determine that, hey laura. Hey brianna, yeah, we have all the details on the argentinanetherlands match coming up later today. Do not expect todays world cup semifinal teams to have the same offensive fire power as germany showed against brazil. The germans, i mean they ran through the brazilian defenders like they were a high school jv team. Maybe even frosh i would say. They won bay 71 score. It was brazils first loss at heem in almost 40 years. Now germany advances to sundays final against the winner of todays match. We have more on that, i feel bad even talking about it. It was so bad. It just feels like youre rubbing salt in the wound almost. Youre right, brianna, it was so painful to watch. If you ask brazil what could make the loss even worse, they would probably say is that their arch rival argentina has a shot at playing for the world cup. Theyll have to get past the netherlands first. This is an opportunity for the star to cement his legacy. Argentina is looking to make the World Cup Final for the first time in two decades, but theyll need him to be at his best for that to happen. He has four of their eight goals so far, and hes considered one of the top two players in the world, but winning this world cup would be kind of that missing puzzle piece to his name. Now the dutch are looking for redemption after reaching the World Cup Final at the last world cup in 2010 and getting denied. They have a great deal to play for, but theyre going to need their captain to carry them. How he has throughout this tournament. Hes the flying dutchman who scored one of the best goals of this world cup early on with that spectacular header nap never gets hold. Now van percy is dealing with a stomach bug. Most reports say he will play today. The question that im wondering is will he be 100 . Its going to be a big game. And thats argentina against holland this afternoon, brianna, but van percy will have to be 100 for the nether tloonds have that edge over argentina. Brazil might want argentina to have a shot against germany in a way to sort of see how they fare. Its a good team. Thank you so much. Thank you. Still to come, some might say only in berkeley. That was the decision of berkeley, californias city council, heres dan simon with more. Reporter berkeley long ago submitted its reputation for being one of the most liberal cities in america. Today its certainly living up to that image by giving away free marijuana to the poor. What appears to be the first of its kind ordnance nationwide, berkeley will require that its medical marijuana dispensaries provide free cannabis to low income residents which would also include the homeless. Is it a good ideaed to give free idea to give free cannabis to the homeless . When it say it that twa sounds peculiar. This is medicine. It is used to relieve pain for glaucoma and heart problems and things of that nature. I think it is a good idea. Reporter Darrell Moore and the entire city Council Voted in favor of the measure, part of a 20 page ordnance to amend the code. 2 of the dispensaries marijuana should be given to the people who must have a medical marijuana id card or refefrl from a doctor, but even near berkeley where we placed an open mike. Some worried the new ordnance will lead to abuse. Terrible homeless problem. Its going to attract more Homeless People to the area. I volunteer here at the local rehab clinic. I think its going to increase the number of drug problems that we see on a regular basis. Reporter low income here is defined as making less than 32,000 a year for an individual, andless than 46,000 for a family of four. That will open a doorway for people to just get marijuana and sell it. And as opposed to using it for medicinal purposes. Reporter but advocates say this measure is about compassion by providing medicine to those who cant easily afford it. And dan, bringing dan simon in, i have to say than an interesting touch with the open mike as a cal alum, i thought that was right on. You talked to some people, you think mixed on this, right . Reporter well first of all, i can tell you that this passed through the city council with flying colors. It was a unanimous vote. Now you might think that a business, brianna, would be opposed to give away products for free . Well in berkeley, with their medical marijuana dispensaries that is not the case. They are all on board with this. I should tell you that this medicine can get expensive. It can cost hundreds if not thousands of dollars each month, and so they felt like they wanted to do something that would be compassionate for people of lesser means, brianna. Well have to see if maybe some other municipalities follow suit, thank you. Still to come, maybe you heard about joan rivers walking off the set in the middle of a cnn interview this weekend. Well on the late show last night, David Letterman gave the selfdescribed diva a taste of her own medicine. We are looking at that stunt, and were talking to the cnn anchors that rivers stormed out on. You want to save money on Car Insurance . No problem. You want to save money on rv insurance . No problem. You want to save money on motorcycle insurance . No problem. You want to find a place to park all these things . Fuggedaboud it. This is new york. Com sends sales rep Steve Hatfield the ready for you alert, the second his room is ready. You know what he brings . Any questions . Can i get an a, steve . Yes three as he brings his agame the ready for you alert, only at laquinta. Com joan rivers made headlines this weekend when she walked out of an interview with fredricka whitfield, but on the late show last night, David Letterman turned the tables on the selfdescribed diva. I was watched the cnn thing, and you felt that she was being. Reporter very judgmental. Very nasty, very opinionated. Negative, it was like my wedding night. Congratulations. Fredricka, this stunt, lettermans stunt, it was a parody of her storming off the cnn set just a few days earlier. Fredricka, your interview with joan rivers, it started off pleasant enough, then she became irritated when asked about criticism of her fur collection. Lets listen. You know this whole interview is becoming a defensive interview. No. Are you wearing leather shoes . Yes, then shut up. I make people laugh for 50 years, i am put on toert make people laugh. My book is funny. I wear fur killed 15 years ago, i work for Animal Rights, stop it with, you do this and youre mean and youre that. You are not the one to interview a person who does human. Sorry. Are we serious . Okay fredricka, fact check because she called you judgmental and nasty, i can say, both of these things are very untrue. You are my lovely colleague. Youre sweet. But im wondering, did you anticipate anything like this drama . Oh gosh, no. I thought i was going to get the kind of biting humor that i saw on letterman last night. Thats what shes known for. And i expected that thats what she would be doing when shes talking about her book, which is loaded with that kind of, you know, humor. That only joan rivers can deliver. And so i helped, i thought i was going to help provoke that by reading passages from her book, but instead, you know, she wasnt happy with that. And that was the outcome. And then the latest current event happened to be some Animal Rights activists who disrupted her book signing. And she, she welcomed that with humor as well, and i thought the same thing would happen when i asked her about it and she would just deliver an encore, but, you know, it went quite the opposite and instead she was irritated. Certainly i wasnt going into this interview looking to provoke or agitate. So i was surprised, but i was thrilled when i was told that she was available, i jumped at the chance, i look forward to talking with her. I mean who doesnt admire her longevity in this business of comedy for 50 years . So, you know, i was surprised. Believe me, i thought she was joking when we were in the body of, you know, the interview, and she was now saying she was about to walk off. And i thought she was joking, and so i was going along with her, this was funny, then i continued to sit and i thought shed document back come back, and she didnt. Did she anything to you off camera after the interview by chance . Or was that it . A lot was said off camera, her mike was on. I think she knows, shes been in the business a long time. She wanted know hear everything she said off camera. It was more than biting, it was, you know, there were tough words, a lot of four letter words that were direct, directly aimed at me. But ive got thick skin. Not to our fred whitfield, no. Its okay. I dont know what set her off. I didnt know at the time, yes, the question about the activist, it seemed as though that was the moment that, that she wanted to get off the set. But last night on letterman, to me, she really got to the matter of it which was she thought that when she asked me about my age and i told her my age, the last thing im trying to doed is tell everyone im 49, now its out thereto, here we go. She asked me my age then launched into the whole botox, and i was being honest, i havent, and i hadnt had work, and last night on letterman, thats what she said ticked her off because she thought that i looked very pulled and i looked like i hadnt had procedures and she thought i was being dishonest. She said that on letterman last night. So you know what, its the best compliment i could ever get, thats okay coming from you, joan rivers to hear that, i appreciate it, thank you. And you know, thanks to mom and dad because i got nothing to do with whether i look pulled or not. Ive met your dad, you have great genes. It is impressive, and certainly, i would be jealous. Im jealous, i assume that joan rivers might be a little jealous too. Well it was, it was an interesting experience, i expected fireworks this holiday weekend, but i didnt know it was going to come in that form. No, exactly. All right. Well it was interesting, thanks for talking, fred, appreciate it. Thanks brianna. Have you ever seen anyone roll in coal . Hopefully it was from a squan. Yep, they are blowing smoke here, literally. Heres geneny moss. Reporter holy smoke, actually theres nothing holy about it. Do you smoke . Yeah. Stand by. Reporter especially if youre the one covered in it, though some volunteered. In the words of the website, rolling coal is pollution porn for dudes with pickup trucks. There are videos posted on youtube blowing smoke on a ferrari. And even a police car. This cant be legal, you cant just blow smoke on people, can you . The Environmental Protection agency says tampaering with vehicle pollution controls is against the law. Police agencies we talked to in virginia were totally unaffair of rolling coal, though virginia law prohibits installing anything that emits smoke. Prius owners like this woman tend to already be fed up with idling trucks. Whats the matter with you . You have to make that much pollution . Reporter slooed really blow her stack if her prius were smoke bombed. Though some think its a chick magnet. Just passed some fine honeys. See if we cant pick them up. Want at ride . Get on in here.
