Officials are telling everyone in the coast, east of new orleans to get to safety, cnn kaley is in downtown new orleans. Tom, to you, give us the time line of when will it happen and what kind of condition are we talking about . Well have an update. 100 Miles Per Hour still offshore. This is moving at incredible speed right now of good news and bad news. The good news is storms that are moving at 25 Miles Per Hour. These kinds of hurricanes, they cannot intensify, they dont like to move this fast. However, 90 Miles Per Hour sustained winds, we are only of 6 Miles Per Hour away from a category two. Thats going to happen and it looks like it is going to be east of new orleans and thats where most of the damage will be. Well have a possible land fall. The ring bands making their way through new orleans, getting up to baton rouge as well. Notice the bright colors here. The outer band will have a good potential of tornados. Gulf shore had tornado warnings. This band moving into the region, it is a precursor thing to come, most of the rainfalls are on the northern end of the center core. Now, let me show you quickly, a visual image and this is a ghost 16 visual imagery, visual satellite and what you are going to see here and i am going to point out to you, notice the high ridge here, maybe hard to see on this. Here is your tornado threat on the northern band and now we are starting to see a little bit of an eye form. Hard to see on the satellite imagery but it is better to see on radar. What well be watching and the hours ahead is a big surge of water. Underneath the core of that center. As it slides into the region, of course, where the slow slopes of the ocean through the shoreline will create dangerous storm surge. Now, we are talking about the possibility of seven or eight or nine t nine, ten or storm surge. A watch as far as north georgia where irma is moving through. Thats going to be a big concern as well. Wide power outages. When you take sustained winds at 90 Miles Per Hour which will only get stronger and you couple that with its Forward Momentum from the core eastward. That north and North Eastern quad dr quadrant well over 115 Miles Per Hour. Anywhere from the center of the track, flight delays are going to be a big concern all the way up to new york city and to boston area. 7 to 11 foot storm surge, big concern and the storm moving east of new orleans, ana. Because there is some intensification ongoing, we are planning for category three. At this point in time, we are being aided most by just forward speed of the storm and so thats not going to allow a lot of time to drop rain but that increase wind speed is going to increase the storm surge so tom was conta exactly right. This is going to be a storm event and it remains powerful storm that people cannot take too lightly. What should people be doing . Beginning to go to the place where they want to ride the storm out. We got a number of places in Southeast Louisiana under evacuation and orders where there is mandatory or voluntary, they need to get where theyre going to be within the next hour or so because this thing is going to come ashore at 7 00 p. M. It should be out of the storm and should be the mouth of the mississippi river. Because there is a nighttime land fall event, it makes things much harder, people cannot see where the motor is on roads. I dont think it pertains any military action. The president is trying to give off this madman theory. What are the possible consequences for a tweet like this . You know, the United States where hes speaking to his base and toughness that they like. This signals a lack of seriousness on the president in terms of the message hes sending not only to china who theyre trying to get on board to put more pressure but also to north korea. Kim jongun can see this in two ways. He can see this as the president declaring war against north korea on twitter or we get his backup and perhaps get him to start firing missiles or firing on u. S. Allies and maybe another nuclear test, who knows . The opposite is actually dangerous is north korea thinks the president is bluffing. He kept on making these comments and theyre not going anywhere. It comes after we heard a comment earlier this week from bob corker came out and said that it was tillerson and kelly and mattis who are keeping things to order avoiding chaos in his words and find that the president was creating some kind of chaos. Thats right. His spokesperson, Sarah Hucklebee sanders, says it is the president thats keeping the United States away from the cha chaos. The president is in stilling a lot of chaos in the country, in the Foreign Policy. Look, you have secretary mattis and tillerson, general kelly and his chief of staff who were seen as the adults in the room and seen as having a sober and moderate Foreign Policy that tries to find a diplomatic solution. You dont know where he is. Certainly those three are trying to keep the United States on an even kill and the president is not controllable. Something if it was fired on could have exploded. You could see another casualty event had that happen. That was not the case when his car was located. All this Little Details leading investigators and leading authorities to believe that this individual thought he may be able to survive what he was doing in his hotel room and make ittous to his car, ana. I understand you also have new details of the Security Guard went up to the shooters room and interrupted the attack. Why was he actually there, we are learning . Right, his name, hes a hero here, hes jesus campo. Thats something they get an alert through throughout the hotel. He was going up there to check up on that. The shooter saw on his camera that he had set up outside of the hotel room that this Security Officer was arriving, he shot through the door and shooting campos in the leg and what authorities believe based on their time line that the shooter did not actually shoot back out into the crowd after that encounter with compose. If you think about what that means, the chance of this alarm down the hall went off, the chance that campos came up when he did may have saved so many other lives. It was also key for him to be able to pinpoint exactly where this massive hotel behind me he was in that building so authorities were able to respond to so quickly. Stephanie in las vegas.
