Now we are getting specifics about his Immigration Reform plan, if you can call it that. It seems impossible. He suggests rounding up more than 10 Million People who may be in the u. S. Illegally. That just doesnt work. It cant happen but for his supporters does that matter. Is that what they want to hear . I think donald trump is tapping in to a visceral feelings about immigration and illegal immigration in a certain factor of the republican base. You are right, rounding up 12 million Illegal Immigrants is first of all impossible to do. Some people have have cost his plan at 150 billion and the idea of building a huge wall on the u. S. Mex eco border and getting mexico to pay for it, none of it seems plausible. Thats in essence something that runs throughout the trump candidacy. It is somewhat surreal. None of his policies seem to add up but he has this style. He has tapped in to this antiestablishment, antigovernment feeling. A few months ago, he wasnt even polling, wasnt even announced and now he is within with striking distance of Hillary Clinton in the new poll. Just six Percentage Points behind her in a national headtohead. That is incredible. Does it say more about trumps strengths or Hillary Clintons weaknesses . I think the first. This is obviously a long way ahead of the election in 2016. At this stage, polls often sort of reflect name recognition, Media Coverage when they do a considered judgment by the electorate about who they think will be the next president. You are right. There was a big surprise in that cnn poll this morning. Only 6 behind Hillary Clinton in a theoretical matchup. You have to say that if Hillary Clinton won a general election by 6 that would be with almost considered a landslide but the fact that donald trump is the republican who has the best chance of beating her is a big surprise. Police fired smoke and tear gas at protesters to disperse the crowd. They were demonstrating following the Police Shooting death of an 8yearold africanamerican suspect. Police say the suspect pointed a gun at officers as they arrived with a search warrant. The police chief said the protest near the scene began peacefully. We cleared the intersection, as i said. It was done peacefully. Officers in regular uniform without shields, without sticks went to the area. Made a couple of arrests and peace was restored. Officers left the area and as soon as we left the group came back in the intersection and began to march. It wasnt until later in the evening when they marched through the Central West End along kings highway that they took over the intersection as officers approached that time is when glass bottles and bricks were thrown at the Police Officers so they had to block them with the shields they had. The feds say he paid a 17yearold girl to have sex with him at the plaza hotel and then offered her a finders fee to find her another young girl, stating the younger the girl, the better. The indictment says fogel convinced that girl to send three nude images of herself to his email account. Later paying her to have sex at the ritz in manhattan. Authorities say the girl had also told them she had sex with fogel three times when she was just 16. This is about using wealth, status and secrecy to illegally exploit children. Reporter investigators began to take a closer look at fogel when Russell Taylor the executive director of the foundation was arrested on federal child porn charges. Authorities say that fogel received images from taylor of partially clothed minorsen ging in sexually explicit conduct. Investigating the case was no small task. They have used a lot of the cctv that is around this city center but now they are look beyond that, around the area, other major areas in bangkok and airport cctv and asking every country that help to do so. Security forces continue to investigate. A Fatal Police Shooting in st. Louis has triggered another night of unrest there. While he has been ten months in prison its been difficult to get any sense of whats happened. But we got a rare look inside Oscar Pistorius life in that maximum security prison. Reporter their job is to listen to prisoner concerns. They talk to more than 40 a day. One of their assigned inmates, Oscar Pistorius. Now we can sit down and discuss and laugh. Reporter their manager at the independent judicial inspectorate sees thousands of complaints a day. He complains about a bath. And after a month a bath in the shower because he couldnt shower. He also had a complaint about his bed and they replaced his bed for him. Reporter a worldclass athlete, he complained about gym equipment too. Ale while most prisoners complain about the food its rarely because of fear. Oscar was worried about poison. He would only buy food from the prison store. In this overcrowded prison, 50 inmates squeeze into a single cell sharing one toilet and a basin. Always fighting for food, for bath. And wake up and went to bath. Reporter but pistorius had his own cell for his safety because highprofile prisoners have been attacked here before. If you are highprofile inmate people will take advantage of the situation. They will target you . Thats correct. Reporter taking every precaution to keep south africas disgraced icon safe. The question is did he get or has he gotten preferential treatment in the prison . As a high profile prisoner he could be at risk in the general population and prisoners of that nature have been attacked before. But when we asked them whether his complaints were seen to more quickly an other prisoners the answer was an emphatic, yes. David mckenzie with insight into the prison life of Oscar Pistorius. Its a site that makes no secret about what youre signing up for. Looking for someone other than the wife other than the wife and that is one of their commercials. The websites slogan is life is short, have an affair. Millions of cheaters have been exposed. Databases of names, emails and sexual preferences are making their way to main stream websites. Reporter Ashley Madison is site devoted to the wandering eye. Everyone who is thinking about having an affair can go on the site, sign up and find someone else who is interested. At the end of the day it has millions of users. So a lot of people are interested. About a month ago hackers threatened to release a lot of personal information. They said they were able to breach the servers and get sensitive user data and said if you dont shut down the site were going to post all of this data. Hackers made good on the promise and decided to the a huge data dump, 10 gigabytes on the dark web. So when were sorting through the data we saw 15,000 dot gov email addresses. What they cant make up was also released which is Payment Information that reveals your home address, your phone number. They were also able to get internal data from the company. We are look at Bank Account Information and internal memos. Hackers essentially owned the server. They did a ton of damage. Who is behind this . We dont know a lot about the group claiming to take credit. Its called the impact group. They said these people are immoral and Ashley Madison promises to keep their data safe and they are not doing that. They said find yourself in here, learn your lesson and make amends. So whats next for Ashley Madison right now the company is doing damage control and trying to find the people behind this hack. They havent been able to do that. Representatives have said whether or not you believe in what we do and what we stand for, hacking is a criminal act and this is personal information that has been put out there on the web ripe for identity left and there might be some people to see if their significant other is on this site. We look at the site, they claim to have 40 million users. We dont know if that is necessarily true. That is a lot of people using a site devoted to infidelity. There is a lot of heart break happening as people wonder is my partner or spouse on there . And some are finding the truth. Its a shame. Its very unfortunate. Extraordinary, really. And the advertisement. Its sick, isnt it . Moving on here, the Subway Restaurant chain has stores in 110 nations. Many of you may know their former pitchman, jared fogle who got famous after losing weight after eating their sandwiches now he faces prison time on child pornography charges. Reporter for 15 years, jared fogle was one of americas biggest pitchman. But the cameras were not welcome after the father of the two pleaded guilty to having child pornography. According to court documents, fogle traveled from indiana to new york at least twice to have sex with minors. In 2012 at the plaza hotel in new york, fogle had sex with a 17yearold prostitute and asked him to introduce her to more girls. Fogle told her he would accept a 16yearold, the younger the girl, the better. I cannot think of anything more more repugnant than sexually victimizing a child. Fogle must pay 100,000 to each of the 14 victims who were secretly pho secretly photographed or paid for sex. And spend between five and 15 years in prison. It is believed that his estimated worth is 15 million. But in this case you can see how some of this was laid out. His wife says she is going to leave him after all these allegations are coming out. Within the hour a number of european officials will meet to take action. French, british, and German Government ministers first will head to the channel tunnel in calais and later they will discuss the fight against human smuggling. For more on this, we turn now to ian lee. He is live in london. Ian, what are some of the lucians that might come out of these meetings, do you think . Reporter what were hearing from officials is that theyre going to have this joint command and control center to help with security on the french side of the crossing over into the uk. Theres going to be extra police. Theres going to be extra fencing. One thing, though that theyre going to go after are smugglers. They are trying to dismantle the networks that are bringing the migrants and refugees to that area in france, calais and try to prevent them getting there initially but they are going to beef up the security around the entrance of the tunnel that leads to the uk. Things being mentioned are, again, extra fences, extra Police Officers. Theyre going to have flood lights, infrared cameras, all to stop people from trying to cross over into the uk. Extra policing as well. Theyre going to be going over to the area that is called the jungle where about 3,000 migrants are being camping out right now. And every night we see them try to make this very dangerous crossing into the uk, rosemary. And ian, what about trying to get to the core of the problem, why so many of these people are trying to get through and across into the tunnel . Reporter well, that ultimately, it would be the goal. But it is incredibly difficult. These people are coming from all over the world. You have them coming from iran, sudan, ethiopia, eritrea, syria. They are coming from wartorn countries looking for a better life. We are hearing Horror Stories of escaping bombs and conflict and so these people for them to stop coming to really stem this tide of migrants you have to get to the root cause of the problem and that is these conflicts and problems in their countries of origin which is a very difficult task. So right now these ministers are going to be meeting trying to confront this initial problem. Obviously this is resolving the conflicts back home are something that diplomats would love to do but it is going to take time. It is certainly a challenging situation. Ian lee reporting live from london. Many thanks to you. Hundreds more migrants are arriving in greece coming from the island of kos. Almost 21,000 migrants arrived in greece just last week alone. Cnn International Correspondent arwa damon went to the Turkish Coast and here is her report on their often dangerous trip. Reporter a rubber dinghy packed with migrants takes on the Turkish Coast guard. Ignoring the coast guards horn, glaring spotlight and orders to return to shore, then lost from view. Just before dawn we are on the same waters. [ speaking Foreign Language ] thats the boat that we were filming. The turkish ghost card asks our captain for help towing the migrants to shore. They are syrian shouting they dont have a motor any more and want to return to dry land. Help us, help us, the men cry out as our captain tosses a rope. The coast guard had chased them for two hours and finally, the migrants say, threatened to sink their boat if they did not drop their motor. Then the coast guard towed the dinghy as close to shore as their ship would allow. 60 migrants crammed together clutching their life vests and inner tubes their faces telling of tragedy and dejection but also the relief of still being alive when so many have perished. On shore, most disappear into waiting taxis. One young man bitterly says if death wasnt chasing us, we would not be trying this. All night they had been aiming for the twinkling lights of the greek island of kso in the distance, their gateway to europe. Now a dream left for another day. Arwa damon, cnn, turkey. A spokesman for thailand says the deadly bangkok bombing is unlikely to be linked to International Terrorism. Thats after the tie police chief announced at least ten people were involved in mondays attack and it had been planned for at least a month. I asked cnns saima mohsin how police came to the new number. Reporter to be honest im not really sure how they know it. The information coming from the police is sketchy. A lot of updates wednesday late evening, so last night for us here, coming from the police directly to myself and the team here. But we dont know beyond that how they believe that there are more than ten people involved. I guess theyre trying to figure out how someone could plan some this kind of sophisticated bomb and made it and decided where to put it. And thats why theyre deciding its more than one person. They believe that the man in the yellow tshirt was not operating alone. He has two accomplices at least inside the shrine at the time. If we show you around there, and there is a barrier there, thats where the bomb went off. Now that man in the yellow tshirt planted the bomb there. And in front of him, rosemary, clearly on cctv footage there are two men who stand up right in front of him. One wearing a red tshirt and one wearing a white tshirt. The Police Spokesman told me himself he believes they are two accomplices who were there with him deciding where to plant it and hiding him while he was planting that bomb. Saima mohsin there. And the Thai Government is offering almost 14,000 to the families of those killed in the bombing. 20 people were killed and 120 wounded. Want to turn to egypt where a powerful car bomb rocked a northern suburb of cairo. Witnesses in several neighborhoods say they heard that explosion. Some were jolted awake by it. The blast happened near a National Security building and a courthouse. The Egyptian Interior Ministry Officials Say the driver parked the car in front of the building and was picked up by someone on a motorcycle and fled the scene. The Nations Health Ministry Says 29 people were wounded in that blast. There is a beefed up Police Presence in st. Louis, missouri after a Fatal Police Shooting triggered renewed unrest. Police fired smoke and tear gas at protesters to disperse them. Nine people were arrested. Demonstrators were gathered where police shot and killed an africanamerican suspect earlier. Police say the 18yearold pointed a gun at officers when day arrived with a search warrant. An investigation is underway. The police chief says the demonstrations began peacefully. We cleared the interaction. And that was done peacefully. Officers in regular uniform without shields and sticks went into the area. We made a couple of arrests at that point and peace was restored. Officers left the area. As soon as we left the group came back into the intersection and began to march. They marched along kings highway and took over the intersection. Thats when glass bottles and bricks were being thrown at the officers and they had to block them with the shields. The police chief says a car was set on fire and businesses were broken into. All right, to south africa where the Justice Minister has ordered a review of the pending parole of Oscar Pistorius. He now most likely wont be released into house arrest on friday. Pistorius has served ten months for culpable homicide in the killing of his model girlfriend reeva steenkamp. And for the latest we turn to David Mckenzie. There has been a lot of support of the minister delaying this parole because many people, including womens groups felt for someone to get ten months in prison for killing their girlfriend is certainly too little of a time. That also, of course, includes reeva steenkamps parents who complained back in june. But there are others, including legal experts who say what the parole board did is within the law in south africa and they see this political interference by a cabinetlevel minister. Nice to be here. Just before we came to you of course we heard what donald trump thinks of Hillary Clinton. He thinks she is in big trouble. Do you agree with him . Could it signal the end of her this email saga . She has two problems. One is whatever the potential legal problem would be and the former attorney general of the United States and a federal judge has written in the wall street journal about this in a legal sense which are certainly of a concern. Secondly shes got the political problem. I have a column tomorrow in the American Spectator it recalls a column in january of 1996 in which the New York Times columnist called Hillary Clinton a quote, unquote, congenital liar. He went through chapter and verse on. This my point to you on this is she has this persona. Every candidate has this persona. Hers has evolved that she has trouble telling the truth on different issues. And unfortunately this plays right into that sort of persona. So i think shes got a potential legal problem here if i listen to the legal experts correctly and a serious political problem. Lets go back to donald trump and his views on the issue of immigration. The most controversial suggestion he has made is that babies born in the u. S. Will not become citizens automatically if he becomes president. We want to take a quick listen to what he had to say. You have people on the border and in one day they walk over have a baby and all of a sudden were supposed to the citizenship for those babies you would revoke it now and retroactively . The 14th amendment is questionable as to whether that baby is a citizen. The court has said it reads that this is a minority legal opinion you are talking about. There are many people that totally feel that they want it that way. Amending is too big a deal. It would be two terms. I would be on my eighth year assuming everything went smoothly. To amend the constitution. Takes a long time. But i believe you can win it legally. So, sir, what do you say to this . Will it be possible to make a change like this snrz if . Yes, it will, there is disagreement on the 14th amendment. There is a clause in there about jurisdiction which constitutional experts say could in fact make what mr. Trump is suggesting possible. Its very interesting that the 14th amendment did not give citizenship to native americans or indians as we say in america. That was not done until an act of congress in 1923. And of course, if congress can make you a citizen, congress can also unmake you a citizen. So this is an argument that that is going to proceed. But already what donald trump has been saying has been getting support from constitutional experts here in this country. Jeffrey lord thank you for joining us. Thanks, rosemary. Officials have been able to take out 100,000 cubic meters of trash out of this particular river. Well put the maps in motion. A massive area of High Pressure has been in place over the region. That means very dry conditions have persisted. The drought situation is very costly and akin to whats happening in california as far as the amount of losses that were seeing. In march 2015, the droughts in the severe to moderate scale. In may it picks up in intensity. Severe to extreme. July, extreme to exceptional. And large scale exceptional drought in place for august of 2016. So this is becoming a major issue for crop output in much of germany. Farmers have harvested 30 less wheat than in 2014. And serious concerns over feed for the cattle and livestock. And in the western u. S. This is from july the year 2000 where you see the water levels and this is lake mead. Look around the edges of lake mead. I fast forward to july 2015. A significant reduction in the water level. This is a bigtime concern. We are seeing it in a longterm pattern when it comes to drought in the southwestern u. S. And twin typhoons to tell you about. Goni and atsani which is a supertyphoon which means category 4 equivalent or stronger. The concerns are around taiwan. Ten days ago, a typhoon took out about 4 Million People from power supply across taiwan. One of the largest large scale blackouts they have ever seen. So were watching that for impact. Germanys parliament approved a third bailout for greece on wednesday saying the country deserves a new start. Anyone who is thinking of having an affair can sign up and find someone who is interested. This site is controversial but at the end of the day it has millions of users. A lot of people are interested. About a month ago, hackers threatened to relose personal information. They say they were able to breach the servers and get user data and they gave a warning. If you dont shut down the site we are going to post all of this data. The hackers made good on the promise and released all the information on the dark web. We saw 15,000 dot gov, dot military emails. A lot of people make up their email addresses when they sign up for the site but its what they cant make up is Payment Information that reveals very, very telling things like your home address and phone number. They were able to get a bit of internal data from the company, Bank Account Information, internal memos. One researcher said that hackers owned the server. They did a ton of damage. Who is behind this . We dont know a lot about the group claiming to take credit, the impact group. They said people doing this are immoral and need to learn and Ashley Madison promises to keep their data safe. They put out a manifesto said find yourself in here and make amends. Whats next for Ashley Madison . The company is doing damage control and trying to find the people behind this hack. They havent been able to do that. Representatives from Ashley Madison have said hacking is a criminal act and this is personal information that has been put out there on the web ripe for identity threat and if you are at home there might be people trying to google and see if their significant other is on this site. When we look at the site they claim to have 40 million users. Thats a lot of users of a site devote to infidelity. It has unnerved a lot of people. A u. S. Mans ability to lose weight by eating lowfat sandwiches brought him a lucrative job in ads for the Subway Restaurant chain but its randy kaye reports it came to an end when allegations of child pornography surfaced. Reporter jared fogle. Jared fogle has been charged and has admitted to participating in a fiveyear criminal scheme to exploit children. Reporter children as young as six years old. 14 victims in all beginning around 2010, Authorities Say fogle traveled to new york city to pay minors for sex. The feds say he paid a 17yearold girl to have sex with him at the plaza hotel and offered her a finders fee to find another young girl stating the younger the girl the better. The indictment says fogle convinced that same girl to send three nude images of herself to his email account. Later paying her again to have sex at the ritz in manhattan. Authorities say the girl had told them she had had sex with fogle when she was 16. She is using wealth, status and secrecy to exploit children. Reporter Russell Taylor, the executive director of the Jared Foundation was arrested two months ago on federal child porn charges. Fogle received images and videos from taylor of partially clothed minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct. Investigating the case included search warrants for 16 smartphones, six hard drives, five cameras including hidden cameras, flash drives, memory cards, dvds and cds. Investigators looked at 160,000 text messages, more than 47,000 images and 3,300 videos. As part of the plea deal fogle will go to prison from 5 to 12. 5 years and promised to pay 100,000 to each victim to cover counseling. He cant undo the damage he has done but he will do all in his power to try to make it right. Reporter a stunning fall for someone the world came to love as the subway guy.
