Candidates out there that can deliver the things i liked about Donald Trump but not the stuff i didnt like. Unfortunately for Ron Desantis and Nikki Haley, they have made it here close to the Finish Line in iowa staying in the Race But Havent demonstrated that they are those people. Frankly i think its because they have spent time attacking each other. As you saw in the ads there, there hasnt been an opportunity for voters in iowa and New Hampshire and say, heres why Nikki Haley and not trump. Didnt give something to vote for. And i think haley has tried. I think especially here in the last couple of weeks, her really strong performance is part of why shes had that momentum, but giving them something to vote for that is distinct in some way from Donald Trump in making that contrast clear, i think thats where these candidates really didnt do what they needed to do and why theyre likely to get second and third tonight. Maybe that explains the enthusiasm gap. It reminds me of joe biden, the idea that people are coming out to make a statement about trump, as opposed to having a belief in
