>> they had this all through the weekend. you particularly had vietnamese officials saying they had seen something from the air that they investigated. we did have the oil clicks and maybe they were looking for it. all through the days and hours, there have been these leads. there are more questions than answers here in asia and and they expanded the search area. more than 40 planes and dozens of ships out at sea trying to figure out what happened. the hopes are growing dimmer still. >> always that moment before they declare it just a search rather than a rescue. watching this with many of the family members there.
