hello. just a few days left now of meteorological summer and the weather is looking a little bit mixed. we are going to see some late summer sunshine around, but there are also going to be some showers, particularly through the course of today. some of them could be heavy, potentially thundery in the east, but we are expecting a slightly drier and brighter day tomorrow as this area of high pressure in the atlantic starts to topple in. but what we've got today, we've got a front approaching here from the west and low pressure sitting out to the east of the uk. so heading through the day, then, we'll see heavy showers cropping up for parts of northern england through the east midlands, down towards the southeast. these could well be heavy, bringing some rumbles of thunder, lightning and some large hail. but things are looking a little bit drier for parts of central southern england into wales. we've got this frontal system bringing more cloud for the southwest of england, northern ireland and western scotland. patchy rain across this zone. but for the east of scotland,
