a survey by the charity mencap published today chimes with that and found 67% of the people questioned didn't know what a learning disability is. 42% said they had not seen anyone with a learning disability in the media over the past year. and 33% would feel more comfortable talking to someone with a learning disability if they were featured more often. apparently rarely heard, but that voice, tommy says, must be listened to. some people still do not believe that our lives are worth living. but they are absolutely wrong, because i really do love my life.
