United in grief against the killing of Qasem Soleimani. What a difference a day makes. We might start off on a quite night but we have a storm on the way with heavy rain and disrupting vehicles as well, even severe gales. Expect disruption to your travel arrangement especially later on in the day, ferry crossings, take extra care. You know the drill by now. Blood pressure in the drill by now. Blood pressure in the atlantic, just one look at the isobars will tell you how windy it isobars will tell you how windy it is going to be. Ahead of it quite and breezy for some of us. Showers in parts of scotland, southern england, south wales first thing but through the morning we start to see the rain coming in from the west. Heavy rain and the winds touching severe gale force for some of us. Temperatures are fairly academic as a result. If we hone in on some of the wind strengths, along with the driving rain, 65 Miles Per Hour gusts in plymouth. We have the rain depositing hill snow in the scottish hills as it pushes through. 85 Miles Per Hour gust into the isle of skye, possibly up to 90. Northern ireland, 70 Miles Per Hour. It will rattle through quite quickly this rain and behind it a return to brighter, drier conditions but not for long because then we have this next system coming up from the south west. On tuesday, it will bring storms and tornadoes were brought to parts of america from this system. It will push northwards, taking its rain with it and also some hill snow. It will be windy across england and wales. This temperatures indicate it will be milder, do not be fooled by that because they will be tempered by the wind. Further north a bit colder. Into wednesday, with a good guide to our weather front connected to the low pressure and behind again something a wee bit quieter but not for long because we have the next system waiting in the wings. On wednesday, dry conditions following behind. More showery outbreaks of rain, some heavy. Snow on the hills. Still quite windy across the north of the country. 7 11 degrees the temperatures. Very excited at the prospect that they could be making canada their home but it has been a few days now and people have cooled off. It is no longerfront page news. Until there is a formal announcement that they are moving here, people are letting it go. What is that they would like about them living there . It is a young, glitzy couple. Once they are here, people will probably leave them alone. They may be proper artsy at the beginning but then they be just another canadian couple. How much press interest was there when they were there on this sabbatical . It was mainly british press, that came to British Columbia hanging around. I know the daily mail has been spotted, the son has been spotted around victoria trying to find meghan now that shes back. Local stations have put out a few veelers but, on the whole, no one is really going to go out looking for her here. Feelers. Going to go out looking for her here. Feelers. It is a concern in canada it may cost your country money to have them there . At this point there is no concern. Should it become more formal and we find out that taxpayers will have to put a security bill, for example, then people will become concerned that no one is getting ahead of themselves at this point. I have said they want to be financially independent and canadians are relying on them to stick to that. They would expect them to pay for their security, for example . Yes, absolutely. Even went past royals of come here on to us, there was complaints after we get the security bill. I think if you are to actually live here, no one would want to pay for harry and meghan to be had. They area for harry and meghan to be had. They are a great couple and people are excited about them being here but no one wants to foot the bill. Excited about them being here but noone wants to foot the bill. Any thoughts on where they might want to choose to live . This is purely speculation, i can see them in a major city, like toronto. Meghan has a lot of friends there. Or when vancouver. But it is not very eco friendly. The couple would have to ta ke friendly. The couple would have to take a plane of Vancouver Island to elsewhere so i just take a plane of Vancouver Island to elsewhere so ijust do not think them being here at this point. The fa ct them being here at this point. The fact that they have been on Vancouver Island for several weeks, what are people saying . A few stories wondering if it was prince harry they saw or another redheaded quy harry they saw or another redheaded guy. Victoria is enjoying the extra tourism attraction that they are getting now. Is this a bit of a pr coup if they go and live in canada . Apr coup if they go and live in canada . A pr company could not dream of theirs. Having harry and meghan saying going to live in canada. Maybe there was a bit of backlash when they were offered free coffee but it will bring a lot of attraction to canada. Thank you for chatting to us. That is one of the stories we have been focusing on. We will be like to sandringham where there will be a summit and arcing a palace as well, speaking to various royal commentators Buckingham Palace. Fascinated to see what the outcome of it all will be. And how quickly arrangements can be made. I do not suppose we can know exactly what is discussed. Until the crown comes out in about 20 years time. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Hello, im asad ahmad. The Oscar Nominations are out later today well take you through all the likely runners and riders. And with love island back on our screens, were talking to one of the biggest stars of the last series Megan Barton Hanson will be on the sofa. Good morning. Heres a summary of todays main stories from bbc news. Prince harry will meet the queen at sandringham later today for talks about his future. It follows last weeks announcement from the duke and duchess of sussex that they will step back from life as senior royals. Prince charles and Prince William are also expected to be involved in the meeting to work out a way forward. Sarah, what are we expecting to take place today . As you say, this is the first face to face meeting between the queen and prince harry since the couple dropped that Statement Last week, saying they wanted to step back as senior royals, that they wa nted back as senior royals, that they wanted to put forward a progressive new role, they talked about. What is happening here today . The queen has let it known that she wants a solution. She wants steps forward to be made and made quickly. This meeting today is between the queen, Prince Charles who flew back from oman, Prince William and prince harry, meghan who flew back from canada to be with baby archie and we understand she will be updated by phone. There is a lot to talk about because there is a lot of issues. How do you go about being a part royals and having a part private career . It hasnt been tried successfully in the past but clearly prince harry and meghan want to try and make it work. Key issues to be talked about is this financial aspect, british taxpayer obviously pays towards security costs and things like that. So how is that going to be resolved . Will they keep their titles . Will they remain his or her Royal Highness . All of these questions on the table. How are they going to leave . Where are they going to live . Where are they going to spend most of their time . A lot to be talked about. Also, we have to remember that this is a family. Family members, we are talking about. They have been lots in the pressed about the growing rifts between Prince William and harry which i think many people have seen with an element of sadness. Which i think many people have seen with an element of sadnesslj suppose with an element of sadness. suppose so. One of the other issues, lots of speculation in the newspapers this morning. I am sure people having this conversation at home other as they are watching, what mood. According to various accounts, it wasnt really discussed beforehand. Absolutely. When the statement was released on wednesday evening of last week, very quickly afterwards, it was made known that a there was hurt and disappointment within the palace. Within senior members of the royal family and that is extremely unusual for that to be made known. Clearly there has been bad feeling. At had been clear for a few months. The interview before christmas where harry was asked with a potential rift between Prince William and he didnt deny it. That was telling within itself. Clearly there have been issues between the royal couple as the royal family but moving on from that statement, there isa moving on from that statement, there is a real realisation within the royal family that they need to make this work at the royal family is much stronger with harry and meghan within it. I think they dontjust wa nt to within it. I think they dontjust want to see them go off to north america and not have anything to do with the royal family so there are personal issues that need to be sorted out but also the element of how are they going to work being royal, being not royal, how will that work . It is a really big question. Any indication that we might hear something today . Could the talks go on for a couple of days . Meeting again at some stage in the future . We havent had indications. What we have had, we understand from the queen that she wa nts understand from the queen that she wants progress to be made today. She wa nts wants progress to be made today. She wants progress to be made today. She wants progress within days, she said. Whether we will hear anything about what is going on behind closed doors in sandringham, wejust do know. We know that any decisions will take time to be implemented because of the complexities. There is all sorts of uk tax implications, canadian tax implications. All of these things really do need to be ironed out. Certainly, there is a lot of talking to do. Like i say, whether we will hear what is going on behind closed doors today, we really dont know. I suspect maybe not. Royal commentators will be speaking later. Candidates for the labour leadership have until this afternoon to win enough support to stay in the contest. They need the backing of 22 mps or meps to qualify for the next round, and whilst most are expected to achieve that, both Emily Thornberry and clive lewis may struggle. Boris johnson will travel to belfast today, alongside irish Prime Minister leo varadkar, to meet ministers of the devolved government, which was restored on saturday after three years of deadlock. Mrjohnson is expected to to urge the Stormont Administration to tackle problems with nhs waiting times in Northern Ireland both the uk and ireland say they are prepared to put new money in to help. Firefighters in australia have finally had some respite as wet weather has helped bring a megablaze under control. Meanwhile the Australian Government has pledged 50 million australian dollars for wildlife relief after fires ravaged the nations countryside. This years Oscar Nominations will be announced later at a ceremony in los angeles. once upon a time in hollywood, and the war film 1917 are expected to be among the frontrunners. The nominations will no doubt be under scrutiny for diversity, given theres been criticism of a lack of it, in previous years. Oscars so white was a trending hashtag one year. Also bafta was criticised. A rift of irrelevance. And no host. Presenters but not a host which is odd. There are still hosts forced maybe america is different. Hosts. Films will be nominated, people will be nominated. Excellent. I quite like doing 15 minutes every half hour. Does that mean i can have 15 minutes in sport . We have lots Sergio Aguero is now the top overseas goalscorer in english football history. He scored a hat trick on a day of records against aston villa as his Manchester City side won 6 1 a result which leaves villa in the bottom three. Joe lynskey reports. Players like Sergio Aguero dont come along very often. He has now gone past siri onree is the top foreign goal scorer and he passes alan shearer at the top at trick scoring. City already led to 0 when Sergio Aguero scored his first. When aguero made it 5 0 in the second half, this one sided match had new significance. Commentator Sergio Aguero has scored in the premier league for the 176 time that figure talk aguero passed the record and with the argentina and the club third, he has rigid in nine years through relentless consistency. When these kinds of things happen, how many hat tricks and how many goals, it is not just many hat tricks and how many goals, it is notjust one season, two seasons, it is a long, long time. That is a real value, when you are consistent. Sergio has done that. am so consistent. Sergio has done that. am so happy, i want to say thanks because my teammates helped me these years. I because my teammates helped me these years. Lam because my teammates helped me these years. I am very proud of them. What comes next for Sergio Aguero rest on how long he stays was not there is 18 months left on his city contract but even as a club as rich as this one, landmarks, the volume of goals, are impossible to replace. Watfords resurgence under Nigel Pearson continues after they climbed out of the relegation zone with a 3 0 win at bournemouth. Cricket australia have announced plans for a special t20 Charity Match to raise money for victims of the australian bushfires. Stars such as shane warne and Ricky Ponting will come out of retirement to play in the match next month. I think everyone has come together. Everyone is trying to do their bit. The images we have all seen have touched people around the world and eve ryo ne touched people around the world and everyone is just trying to do their bit so it is great that cricket australia have got behind this. Hopefully a few big names will get involved as well, whether it be music, film, tv, sport from all different codes. We will talk to him about that. Thousands of People Living near a volcano in the philippines have been evacuated after it started spewing out lava, as well as plumes of smoke and ash. Its the second most active volcano in the country and experts are warning of a hazardous explosive eruption. Our philippines correspondent Howard Johnsonjoins us from manila howard, how worried are people there . You are using a mask, is that because of pollution and conditions . Yes, you can see a big fog of ash thatis yes, you can see a big fog of ash that is coming this way was up earlier today, there was a towering column of ash coming out of this volcano volcano but now it has dissipated and you can see the whole sky is ashen grey. Lots of Dust Settling here as well stop in some places, between two havent 60 centimetres thick. It is like a lunar landscape in some places. We saw a pineapple grove earlier today com pletely saw a pineapple grove earlier today completely covered in the stuff and peoples livelihoods being affected. This place tagaytay, usually where you can see a lovely, greenview but people are evacuating this area, maybe moving further away to manila, the capital city which is two hours from here. You talk to little bit about how it has affected people stop what are the thoughts . It is effectively a waiting game to see what will happen . Authorities say it is level four. There is a possibility of a maximum eruption in the coming hours or days. Earlier we went to an Evacuation Centre and spoke to people who witnessed the rumblings last night and saw the flashes of the lightning that was being conducted above this volcano. They said this was they said they we re they said this was they said they were terrified by this and moved to this Evacuation Centre was up some 100 people in the Evacuation Centre we went to. We also saw people panic buying petrol. Lots of motorcyclists lining up to get fuel, worrying that if does does erupt, it could be a difficult situation around here. There is a 1k kilometre exclusion zone and no one is allowed to go into that area. Lots of people coming out and moving away to go with families and be in a safe dose. Are a safer spot. With families and be in a safe dose. Are a safer spot. What will be concerns for the authorities . Always problems with difficulties in communications. Perhaps with mobile phone networks being down, people not having internet was top word of mouth is very important to help people get up. Also people say we will sit it out and see if it is going to be ok but let us not forget in 1991 there was a major volcanic explosion which caused 330 deaths, more than that at the time. If it is similarto more than that at the time. If it is similar to that volcanic eruption, it could be a big deal. Stay you really get a sense of what is going on from those pictures. Carol and tell us about the weather here and tell us about the weather here and the reason named storm . Thats right, storm brendan is coming to our shores and bringing heavy rain and even severe gales so expect some disruptions to your travel arrangements especially later on this morning and through the rest of the day. To start with fairly quiet. Sunshine with a few showers dotted around. But this Blood Pressure is storm brendan. Heavy rain, persistent and look at the isobars across the uk, the stronger winds in the west. Showers across scotland, Northern England and wales. A lot of dry weather. Heavy rain comes in, squally band with gales or severe gales out towards the west, at this stage. Temperatures are fairly academic they will feel cooler than the temperatures suggest because of the temperatures suggest because of the wind. To give you an idea of the kind of wind gusts, as indicated in the black circles, 70 Miles Per Hour in parts of gales and also through the isle of man. 85 90 Miles Per Hour across the outer hebrides. It was east gusts of wind 70 Miles Per Hour so windy across the uk and as we go through the evening and that band of cloud bushes away with thunder and lightning, the winds will pick up across eastern areas as well. Around 45 50 Miles Per Hour is here across the english channel. In the north, cold, with the risk of ice on untreated services. Not as cold as we push further south. Tomorrow, another deep area of low pressure coming in from the south west pushing northwards. Again look at the isobars. A windy day ahead with more heavy rain from the south west and pushing steadily northwards after a quiet and a dry start. It will still be windy across the north of the country s wealth and, as this area moves and engages with colder and further north, hill snow across parts of the lake mysteries, the pennines and the Southern Uplands for a time. As we move into through wednesday, we say goodbye to that weather front. Sinks down towards the south. Still a breezy day. In the north, we are also looking at further showers. There will be some hill snow to boot as well. Southwards, it will take milder conditions with it. Behind it, a lot of dry weather and sunshine so temperatures six ten or 11 sunshine so temperatures six ten or11 in the sunshine so temperatures six ten or 11 in the south. On a thursday, another area coming our way, bringing its front with it and more rain and hill snow. Again it is going to be a windy day. Perhaps not quite as windy as we are expecting today or tomorrow but a lot of dry weather the further east you are travelling. This is a rain and snow, temperatures, on thursday, once again widely at temperatures in single figures but some may squeeze out some double figures. Friday is looking dry. Thank you very much for that carol. Britains Biggest Regional Airline flybe has refused on comment on reports that it is in rescue talks to avoid collapse. Bens looking at this. This is worrying because one of the biggest regional allies connecting all sorts of Regional Airports, 75 aircraft flying, 200 roots, primarily from Regional Airports in the uk but also what they call near europe, places like amsterdam and paris. Reports from sky news suggesting they are now in last minute talks with the government to try and secure a lifeline. A bit of history that puts some of this into context. In march of la st some of this into context. In march of last year, they put themselves up for sale. They were bored by a consortium which included Virgin Atlantic, the big operator and virgin was trying to turn this into an airline that would connect all these Regional Airports to bring people into that big hubs and put them on that virgin flights. They have been struggling with that and we understand that there could be last minute talks to try and come up with some money because, in many of these epos, they are the biggest operator and without those services, it really affect not only the cities they fly to buy the airports themselves. About 2000 staff involved in so they will be keeping a close eye on any announcement. And they fly to apples other people dont. But thats not all youre talking about this morning, youve also been finding out how many new businesses got started last year . Become your own boss and now is the time to do it. These are stats out this morning from the centre for entrepreneurs. Theyve looked at Companies House data where all new businesses have to be registered no matter how small and they found that over 681,000 businesses were started in 2019. It sounds like a lot but this is in absolutely everything. It does. Thats a Record Number and an increase of 2. 8 . If youre looking at broad groupings, wholesale and retail were the most popular type of business to start thats everything from deliveries, logistics to coffee shops. Over 88,000 new construction firms. That includes builders, odd job man. And textile. And 45,229 Tech Startups were launched in 2019. Thats about 5. 16 new Tech Startups launched very hour in 2019. It gives you a sense of how many are being created. Another interesting nugget, there were a lot more new take away food shops and mobile food stands registered in 2019 over 14,000 than there were restaurants with a license, which shows what a moment food delivery start ups and street food are having. A really important time of the year. Lots of people coming up with ideas but i suppose taking the plunge is quite another thing. We spoke to one woman who hasnt done it. She quit herjob in the nhs saying it was stressful and she wanted to be her own boss and she is now running a llama farm. It was an established and insecure role in the nhs but it was just the endless frustration and bureaucracy i was facing about getting things done so i had an idea ofa getting things done so i had an idea of a business which i wanted to incorporate well being around the business. I came across llamas as a way of managing stress and well being. It is challenging, it was very, very difficult to start with and i made loads of mistakes but you learn from it and i now get up but you learn from it and i now get up in the morning, absolutely love myjob, totally up in the morning, absolutely love my job, totally transformed up in the morning, absolutely love myjob, totally transformed my life and if myjob, totally transformed my life and if i can do that, everybody good. You only one life that you have to make the most of it. Leave a stressfuljob and go and do that, teaching wellness on a llama farm. Lots of people start businesses and it is really tough. What other things you need to look out for . Paving the idea is one thing, putting it into practices staff and then keeping it going is very hard. You can have the excitement in the early days but then the mundane tasks are pretty tough. We spoke to a woman who is campaigning trying to get small independent businesses going. She works as people setting up going. She works as people setting up theirown going. She works as people setting up their own business. The biggest frustration i find when talking to businesses is that they do not reach out. All these amazing business organisations out there, the chamber of commerce, local communities that come together and support you. Whatever problem you are facing, somebody has been through that in the past. That idea of Community Spirit is really important. Speak to so spirit is really important. Speak to so many businesses on this programme and they are just worried about doing it alone but inevitably all the things that they are facing when setting up a new business, someone else would have done exactly the same thing. Build your network. Having a chat, with someone who has done it. You can share resources. 60 of new businesses fail within the first five years and that is the idea, you might have the initial excitement and motivation but keeping it going. What would you do if you left this stressfuljob, what would you do . I always wanted to be an architect. Maybe you can set up as a sole trader but at school i was told he needed to be good at maths and drawing but i have spoken to architects and they said did not need maps and you have computers. It is never too late. Never too late. But i love this job. What about you . Never too late. But i love this job. What about you . I love cutting the grass. I can see that would be quite satisfying. Also the best swell in the world. Tough in the winter. But you get the tremor out. There you go. Thank you very much. Lots to come on the programme, the nominations of the oscars out later today but we will be looking ahead at what might happen. And we will be joined by rob burrow at around 810 a. M. People interested in that story of waiting for him to come on. He was diagnosed with motor neuron disease and he had a testimonial yesterday and the emotion was incredible. We will talk with him later. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Hello, im asad ahmad. The winds will be really strengthening as we head through the day today, peeking through the early evening. Mostly dry during the Daylight Hours, with some rain again in the evening rush hour. A few showers around early on this morning towards southern home counties. Were starting off between around four and seven degrees celsius. Some morning brightness and then the winds will ramp up as we head through the afternoon. You can see the wind gusts here, in the black circles, so were looking at gusts of around 40 45mph by the end of the day. Top temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees celsius. Then the rain arrives as we head through the early evening and the wind gusts are likely to peak as well, so very wet, very windy through the evening rush hour. That rain clears its way eastwards as we head through the night, and the winds will start to lighten into tomorrow morning as well. Well start off the day tomorrow between four and 6 degrees celsius. The winds will strengthen again tomorrow and theres a met Office Warning in place. It is about trying to move on from the hurt and disappointment of last week and find the next step. Trying to find a solution, what is this progressive new role that the suffixes want. A big issue will be money was not sussexs. Harry and meghan look like they are determined to have a career and there is a clear determination within the royal family to try and accommodate that desire that it wont be easy. That is taking place later today. A volcano in the philippines has begun spewing lava, causing a warning that a hazardous eruption is possible within hours or days. The volcano has been emitting huge plumes of ash and smoke for the last few days, and 8,000 people have been evacuated from the area. Our philippines correspondent Howard Johnson has sent this report from manila. The volcano has now entered a magmatic phase, yesterday was steam top this is causing like smoke to billow out of the volcano and that is affecting air quality around here, lots of dust and ash in the airand that is here, lots of dust and ash in the air and that is affecting International Airports in this area. Manila International Airport has had lots of flights cancelled and suspended. There is ash on the runway. If we look to my left, we can see ash all over the floor, it has turned into mud in some places and on the road on the way up here, we saw people clearing that mud from the road. We also saw pineapple grove is completely covered in the dust and that is no doubt going to affect livelihoods in this area. The other major risk that the scientists are saying is that there could be a volcanic tsunami. If you look over here, you can see volcano is surrounded by a lake. If there is end if there is an eruption, because earth to move which would cause water. Low lying communities on the coast could be affected by a tidal wave if there is an eruption. Candidates for the labour leadership have until this afternoon to win enough support to stay in the contest. Our Political Correspondent Jonathan Blake is in westminster. Jonathan, a tense few hours ahead . A tense day. There are four candidates who are already home and dry with, as you say, the required 10 dry with, as you say, the required 10 22 meps dry with, as you say, the required 10 22 meps supporting them. Rebecca long bailey and so keir starmer other leads by some distance and then the two prominent benches, lisa nandy and s phillips. Those four have the required level of support and will go through. For two other candidates, it is looking touch and go. Shadow foreign secretary rebecca long bailey, sorry, Shara Affleck shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry and clive lewis. Emily thornberry on ten and five lewis on four. They will be on the phone, trying to get them over the phone, trying to get them over the line. Both seeming confident that at this stage they will be able to do so. At 230 this afternoon, it is the cut off stop the next stage of the race will be about winning support for train trade unions and winning support across the uk and winning support across the uk and those that get the required level of support will face the open postal ballot of all Labour Party Voters and registered supporters. The result of which will be known on aprilfour. Borisjohnson and his irish counterpart, leo va radkar, are to visit stormont today to meet ministers in the newly restored devolved government. Power sharing in Northern Ireland was re established on saturday, with a landmark deal, after three years of deadlock. Keith doyle is at stormont keith, how symbolic is mrjohnsons visit . Yes, absolutely. Another busy day here at stormont. For the past three yea rs, here at stormont. For the past three years, in terms of the assembly, nothing has been going on here. The last five days have been a frenzy of activity and as you said, on saturday, the former re establishment of the assembly and the executive happened, Arlene Foster and Michelle Oneill. It is back up and running. We will see later today is borisjohnson and the irish Prime Minister leo varadkar come here. The re establishment of the assembly is seen as a big success for both of those governments but it wontjust be a photocall. The deal that was signed on friday and to get somebody up and running, was expensive. Full of expensive promises on the health service, on education, on policing, on infrastructure ministers here are really going to want to make sure that Boris Johnson and really going to want to make sure that borisjohnson and leo varadkar come up with the cash to fulfil those promises that they are going to not want to make sure that really, borisjohnson to not want to make sure that really, Boris Johnson comes to not want to make sure that really, borisjohnson comes here, not just with smiles really, borisjohnson comes here, notjust with smiles and handshakes but also with his cheque book. Protests have been taking place in cities across iran for a second day after authorities admitted on saturday shooting down a ukrainian passenger plane. Or 170 passengers on board were killed. All 176 passengers. Crowds took to the streets and chanted slogans against the countrys supreme leader, ayatollah ali khamenei. Firefighters in australia have finally had some respite as wet weather has helped bring a megablaze under control. Meanwhile, the Australian Government has pledged 50 million australian dollars for wildlife relief after fires ravaged the nations countryside. Two months after it faced the worst flooding in more than 50 years, the canals of venice are now almost dry. The city is renowned for being built on water but low tides mean the water has virtually disappeared, and the canals look more like mud trenches. It contrasts with these scenes from late last year, when more than two thirds of the city was underwater. If you pick up a paper today, the front page is dominated ijust one story. Arent they . Lets bring you more on the meeting between prince harry, the queen, Prince Charles and Prince William at sandringham today. The royals will be hoping to thrash out the detail of how exactly the duke and duchess of sussex step back from their roles. So what could the couples future look like . Katie nicholl, the royal editor of vanity fair magazine and royal historian professor Kate Williams are outside Buckingham Palace for us now. I know you have written a book about prince harry as well. We know prince harry will be at sandringham today. Meghan markle will be joining them, we understand, on the phone. What do you think the perfect scenario is for the couple . What is their ultimate goal to get out of these discussions . Firstly, oh, to be a fly on the wall. It is the first meeting between all of the senior principles and clearly there has been high drama behind the scenes. The best outcome for meghan and harry is i guess they get to keep their royal titles. I dont think thatis their royal titles. I dont think that is really up for discussion. Nobody wants to see this unpleasant. To keep their royal titles, possibly to have a foot still in the commonwealth and carry out some royal duties on their terms but for the most part, king able to be overseas, in canada, and becoming financially independent of the royal family which i think was the real bombshell of that statement and is absolutely unprecedented. The reason these discussions are going to take a while and i know the ones snapped up a while and i know the ones snapped up in a while and i know the ones snapped upina a while and i know the ones snapped up in a few days, the reality is, it is incredibly complicated. Simply because it hasnt been done before. And it has happened with the duchess of york, for example, going out and trying to make an independent living, having that rollout independently of the royal family, well, i think it is better say it hasnt been successful. Kate, i see you nodding along. Talk about trying to find a quick solution but there is so much to sort out. The royal title is one issue but there are huge issues like security, future finances which all need to be debated within the family. Of course. There is a matter of security, where they will live, taxation, because of you because of the dual citizenship. Obvious leader queen is very keen to have an answer, as katie was saying is the queen always likes to have things wrapped up quickly and simply, the faster they get this wrapped up, the faster they get this wrapped up, the faster a workable solution is put forward which the queen has said she hopes will be a blueprint for other minor royals like charles and charlotte, kate and williams children. Busily there has been a lot of damaging speculation, all kinds of debate and speculation and it has been the big story this week. I think the quicker a workable solution is found, the happier everyone will be. I do think the desire in that room, everyone is on the same page. They all want to get an answer. The government is involved, we believe the canadian government, too. Everyone wants to come up with an answer about how this will work and i do think about european royalty in which most siblings in the european royalty, they have full time careers like princess madeline of sweden who lives in florida and works in the foundation so i think if they look in the european model for their ideas, it can be solved and i think the quicker the better, really, and i think it can be. Katie, to come back to you. Most of our viewers will be aware, even though they have been unhappy with some elements of the way that their life and what they have done is being covered in they have done is being covered in the press in this country, there is an agreement with the press in the uk which doesnt currently exist in the us and canada and that might be something that could affect them if they want to live there in terms of how they are represented in the media over there. Do you think that has come into their thinking as well . I dont know and i think you raised a good point. I know the couple has been unhappy with some of the peach treatment particularly in the british tabloids. A lot of this is wanting to escape the media scrutiny. Harry is a young boy has grown up scrutiny. Harry is a young boy has grown up with that incessant media spotlight on him and since becoming a father, he has wanted to protect his family even more so from that. But i would argue the british media have been incredibly respectful of them as a family. How many paparazzi picture pictures have you seen a baby archie going about their lives in windsor . Absolutely none and canada and america, there are different rules. I think if the real reason is to escape the spotlight, i dont think there is a place on the planet where they are not going to be photographed and where there is not going to be interest. They are the global superstars of the royal family and leaving here for canada isnt going to make that spotlight any isnt going to make that spotlight a ny less isnt going to make that spotlight any less intense. If you look at the papers, many papers are mentioning the potential hanging ofa papers are mentioning the potential hanging of a dagger of the royal family saying that if it does not work out a way, we might do a tell all interview in the us. Is there something that could be part of these negotiations . I know it is impossible for anyone to know exactly what would be discussed today. This is something written in the times yesterday, saying that meghan and harry were very unhappy and that the reason why was that there was no involvement for them in there was no involvement for them in the slim down monarchy. There was genuine conversation. From , bradbury saying that could be. Harry and meghan talking about racism and sexism but saying there was that in the household as well, in the royal household. That is a speculation we have seen. I do not think they will doa have seen. I do not think they will do a tell all interview. It would upset the queen but the possibility that they could generally talk more without doing a tell all interview is really important and of the royal family feel this. They want to keep them onside. The royal family feel strongly, briefly disappointment, the statement that came out on wednesday evening was that it was an early stage, that they would be working together and the royal family want to keep them onside because they see that perhaps half of harry and meghan is better than no meghan and harry. They really do attract so much support, particularly around young people, diverse audiences and that is what the royal family sometimes find difficult to keep onside. They want to keep them onside because they are so important to the royal family. Obviously harry and meghan have their desires and i think they can live julie as so many people do. Dual. A discussion happening in many households. It makes all the front pages and it will do it again so tomorrow. So many people would want tomorrow. So many people would want to know exactly what was discussed and the outcomes. Lets catch up with carol looking at a storm on the way. Good morning everybody. Taken a 36 million and not star was off the top of the box officem taken a 36 million and not star was off the top of the box office. It is a real contender. Lets talk about eltonjohn. A real contender. Lets talk about elton john. This is a really strange one. I think eltonjohn today could be nominated for an oscar himself at the same oscars that someone is nominated for playing him. Best song nomination and event, the welsh actor could be nominated for playing eltonjohn. We actor could be nominated for playing elton john. We hope, actor could be nominated for playing eltonjohn. We hope, we hope. Talking about him being as the fifth slop. He should be nervous this morning. We could be a great day for wales, Jonathan Price could be nominated, anthony hopkins, possibly Christian Bale who was born in wales as well. And he won the golden globe for that betrayal. Louise mentioned the introduction of the diversity issue. That is something that will be everything that is that an all nominations will be scrutinised. As soon as they come out, that is what they will be talking about. 91 years and only five years nominated for a directing oscar. The chance this year would be greta gerwig for little women. If she is nominated the first woman nominated twice. And also people who are not white nominated in the actor categories. 40 out of 40 nominations were white and the oscars ripped up the rules after that. Instead of being 100 new members, there are now 800 new members, there are now 800 new members and what they have done is bring down the percentage of white voters from 92 to 84 and this has been reflected in the results. Last year we saw the most back winners ever. Seven. They also reduce the amount of men voting to 68 from 75 and that resulted in more women winning oscars. The abundance could also be nominated in the documentary category. Obamas. Joe pesci 76, tom hanks, 63, the baby in the budget, brad pitt at 56, it would be the oldest ever along with al pacino and anthony hopkins. The nightcrawler is on the long wrist. We will be talking to people who have worked on it. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Hello, im asad ahmad. Sergio aguero is now the top overseas goalscorer in english football history. He scored a hat trick on a day of records against aston villa as his Manchester City side won 6 1 a result which leaves villa in the bottom three. Joe lynskey reports. Players like Sergio Aguero dont come along very often. He has now gone past Thierry Henry as the top foreign goal scorer in english football. And a 12th hat trick of his career surpasses alan shearers record. Agueros played a part in some of this leagues greatest moments, but the day he broke new ground was in a routine win. City already led 2 0 when aguero scored his first. The Aston Villa Supporters werent staying for the encore. When aguero made it 5 0 in the second half, this one sided match had new significance. Commentator Sergio Aguero has scored in the premier league for the 176th time that figure talk aguero past henrys record and with the argentines third and citys sixth of the day, he was looking further ahead. Only english players are now above him in the leagues top scorers. Hes reached it in nine years through relentless consistency. When these kinds of things happen, how many hat tricks and how many goals, it is because its not just one season, two seasons or a short moment, it is a long, long time. And that is a real value, when you are consistent for a long, long time and sergio has done that. Im so happy, i want to say thanks to my teammates because they helped me these nine years. So im very proud of them. What comes next for aguero rests on how long he stays. Theres 18 months left on his city contract but even as a club as rich as this one, the landmarks, the volume of goals, are impossible to replace. Joe lynskey, bbc news. We will ask him about it because he is here in on the sofa in the next half an hour or so. Its deadline day for nominations in the labour leadership contest. Four candidates sir keir starmer, rebecca long bailey, Jess Phillips and lisa nandy have already secured enough support. Shadow foreign secretary Emily Thornberry and clive lewis still need more votes to get to the required 22. Lets speak to james mills who was Jeremy Corbyns strategic advisor, and john grogan who lost his labour seat to the conservatives in the election. First of all, do you think all of them will get the nominations . The healing are that they wont. People will be frantically going around. We will be frantically going around. We will have four and maybe five at the end. Do you have favourites . Id keir starmer. I think he is the one that can take the fight to the tories. A lot of people are joining the labour party. Membership has gone up and that is because people are joining gone up and that is because people arejoining because they gone up and that is because people are joining because they want to vote for a candidate who can win next time. It will be interesting to see what they will all say about jeremy corbyn. Whoever you support and whoever you voted for, it appears one of the key reasons is the leadership of the labour party, in terms of what happened in the election, as a strategic advisor, what do you think went wrong . When i had to do this, like a 7000 word essay on my twitter page so it is not a short answer. In the nature of president ial style style elections, they will always be a factor and it is personal. It wasnt the only reason and people will think that if the only reason we lost is because ofjeremy, they probably wont have the answer as to why we win the next one. Going forward , why we win the next one. Going forward, what i would like to see out of the candidate is not rhetoric but also underneath it some policy positions, so right now you can be liked by the papers but three or four months from now, that contain quite fast. That is why i would like to see what their vision is for the party. It isnt eight signatory government. The likelihood is will be five years of whoever wins now, it will take them two or three years just to get heard people out in the country and also to pull the cards for the next three years. Going back to david cameron, he actually had fewer seats than the labour party had right now but it took about two or three years through a financial crisis before he even woke up to who he was. There was lots of infighting in the tory party for the first few years and no one was paying attention. Back then, people used to say the labour party was a Natural Party of government. A lot can change. Whoever is leading now needs to have a prospectus and a vision and the message to give to the country. John, you are now a former labourmp. Country. John, you are now a former labour mp. Let us not look too much on what happened before. But Going Forward , on what happened before. But Going Forward, what needs to be done . What kind of impact that they need to make, whoever wins this . Whatever it is, the tone of the election campaign, that it is good and civilised. I think we have to keep fire in our belly. We have to rate retaina fire in our belly. We have to rate retain a criticism of the inequality in our society and the fa ct inequality in our society and the fact that many people just dont get on in life and so on. We have got to do that from the political mainstream and we have got to remember aaron bevan who created the nhs when he said socialism was the language of priorities. You have got to set out clearly what we will do next time around but james is to set out clearly what we will do next time around butjames is right. It isa next time around butjames is right. It is a long game now. In opposition, we have to pick our fights. It was chose or who said being in opposition is like a land house. We have got to give in detail at this stage, you gotta be on the Prime Ministers case all the time and holding him to account. You have been involved in a leadership bid in the past. What is your experience. Of us an idea of what is going on in the various camps at the moment . Trying to position themselves within the party. Phase are you havejust seen at the moment. It will probably come to a combination today and that is when labour politicians will be given out giving out and it is likely it will be for candidates going through to the leadership section of it. Still some nominations, 40 still to nominate. Once that is out of the way, the second phase will go into seeing constituencies around the carty country, and affiliate like trade unions, they need to be able to get the pallet paper. That is when there is the debate over policy and where they are going to be in the party and that is where the dividing lines really open up. Then you get about six weeks into when the ballot is open and that is when you get to the phase. It sounds like a comp located process. Oh yes, it is the labour party, nothing is ever simple. Process. Oh yes, it is the labour party, nothing is eversimple. So much is about tone. When the spark came to jeremy, it much is about tone. When the spark came tojeremy, it was important for the trade union. It is when trade Union Members come together he still had to resonate with members. Right now, there are a lot to still play for. What i was saying before, it is notjust, you need substance. It is when the rhetoric will need to be replaced by policies to give solutions to people in the country. It is notjust simple to say, look at me,| it is notjust simple to say, look at me, lam the it is notjust simple to say, look at me, i am the leader, what is my vision. It is a big mountain we have to climb. We need to position you guys need to position yourselves. There has been a change was top a real hunger for power and a realisation that we need to make some changes to do that. There is not one in yorkshire where i am speaking from this morning and they will be a demand for more hustings. It willjoining the party now to be pa rt it willjoining the party now to be part of this and there is a realisation that there is a very big choice. We have got to get this choice. We have got to get this choice right, both leader and deputy leader, because our whole future depends on it. Interesting to talk to you both. Thank you both for your time. Absolutely time to catch up with the weather and carol, there is a storm heading our way . The reason and this is the come before the storm. Beautiful pictures sent to us this morning. Still brendan coming in from the atlantic. 50 Miles Per Hour gusts already. This is the tip of the iceberg. The wind is going to strengthen. Some starting off on a dry note with sunshine, breezy though. Storm brendan then comes away, introducing heavy rain and squally winds with gales and even severe chaos towards the west. It has not arrived yet. It is coming in as we go through the body. We start off with a few showers and dry weather but he comes the rain, moving across Northern Ireland, moving across Northern Ireland, moving across Northern Ireland, moving across mainland britain. This is driving, squally rain. Towards the west gales or severe gales. The gusts indicated in the black circles. 45 in an irish, 50 birmingham, 70 across North West Wales and the isle of man. 70 across Northern Ireland, up to 90 mile per hour gusts across the north east of scotland. These are disruptive and potentially damaging. If travelling, especially later this morning or afternoon, bear that in mind. Say goodbye to the rain from the South East End of the evening. Before it goes, it will still be squally. Hail and thunder and lightning. Still strong gusty winds. Temperatures are fairly academic as the result of the wind and the rain. Roughly from five in the north to seven in the south. Cold enough for a touch of frost overnight. Also ice on untreated surfaces. Tomorrow we do it all again but this time from the south west. Rain and windy conditions coming in. We start off ona dry conditions coming in. We start off on a dry and bright note. Then in comes the rain from the south west, moving across england, wales and Northern Ireland as it continues to push northwards with snow in the pennines, and the system is what has brought the to nato s in america over the weekend. Tornadoes. Thank you very much for all of those details. Its a new year, and many people might be thinking the time is right to start a new business. This start a new business. Is traditionally the time . M is this is traditionally the time . M isa this is traditionally the time . M is a combination of all the joy and expectation of new year. They are halfway through january and think i cannot do this for another nine months. Maybe you have a great idea but how would you turn that into a business . These are stats out this morning from the centre for entrepreneurs. Theyve looked at Companies House data where all new businesses have to be registered no matter how small and they found that over 681,000 businesses were started in 2019. Thats a Record Number and an increase of 2. 8 . We are we a re clearly we are clearly a nation of would be entrepreneurs. If youre looking at broad groupings, wholesale and retail were the most popular type of business to start thats everything from deliveries, logistics to coffee shops. Over 88,000 new building firms. And 45,229 Tech Startups were launched in 2019. Thats about 5 new Tech Startups launched very hour in 2019. It showsjust quite it shows just quite how quickly that is growing. If you look at where else, there are also other businesses. There were a lot more new take away food shops and mobile food stands registered in 2019 over 14,000 than there were restaurants with a license which shows what a moment food delivery start ups and street food are having. Its one thing to have the idea, but its another to take the plunge though isnt it . Well celia gaze has done it. She quit a job as an nhs director in 2010 to run a llama farm wellness venue near bolton. When i was in the nhs, it was a very established, very secure role, but it was just the endless, i suppose, frustration and bureaucracy that i was facing around getting things done so i had an idea of a business, which i wanted to incorporate well being around the business. I came across llamas as a great way of managing stress and helping well being. And thats how i ended up with llamas. It is challenging, it was very, very difficult to start off with and i made loads of mistakes but you learn from it and i now get up in the morning, absolutely love myjob, have totally transformed my life and if i could do that, anybody could. You only get one life and youve so got to make the most of it. She looks genuinely happy. I am not sure how you just come across llamas but she loves her new life. It is about turning passion into business and it is not always easy because you have the cost and stresses associated with it. How would you turn that into a viable business . We spoke to a woman who gives advice to businesses. There are these amazing help, local communities and whatever problem youre facing, somebody has been through that in the past. Talk about it and that work because chances are someone has faced the same problems you have gone too. I didnt want to put a you have gone too. I didnt want to puta dampener you have gone too. I didnt want to put a dampener but we should point out 60 of all new businesses fail within the first five years and that is probably an element of you go at it with gusto, very keen and determined, motivated but keeping it going for the longer term is quite tough. Maybe ideas come in and out of fashion stop nonetheless, some great figures suggest that, if you do not like what you are doing, there are opportunities to work for yourself. And good luck to everybody who is doing that. The royal family dominated headlines all over the weekend, with the sunday times reporting that the duke of cambridge has spoken to friends of his sadness at the broken bond with his brother describing each other as separate entities. We can speak now to the sunday times royal correspondent, roya nikkhah, who broke that story. Thank you forjoining us. From the duke of cambridge, he sounds like he is devastated . He generally is. At the heart of this, a really difficult crisis for the royal family, it is a personal story. You talk about brothers, grandmothers, pa rents talk about brothers, grandmothers, parents and it is an institution, it isafirm, parents and it is an institution, it is a firm, something with an enormous amount of history but there isafamily enormous amount of history but there is a family here that has been broken apart and you can see from what i wrote yesterday that william is feeling incredibly sad about it but he hopes that they can come to some sort of agreement and be team players and be reconciled down the line but it is difficult. There is also the line that he says he put his arm around his brother all the lies that he cannot do that anymore. We are separate entities. My reading is that he feels sad that he cannot do that anymore, sad at the broken bond but he did talk about wanting eve ryo ne bond but he did talk about wanting everyone to play on the team. He wa nts everyone to play on the team. He wants it to work and that is what we have heard from the palace about the queen as well. This came as an absolute shock but once it was digested, the queen wants to find a resolution and the reason no doubt that the duke and duchess of cambridge want the same. Senior royals involved at a meeting in sandringham. Do you know if meghan will be involved in a phone call . We had a briefing on the weekend at the palace and we were told by royal aides that meghan would do her best tojoin that aides that meghan would do her best to join that conversation, join that meeting at some point on the telephone. I think that is important because i think she wants to be involved, the queen would want her to be involved and here her views as well as harrys harry is on his own here, facing the music with the public and the royal family. We told she will dial in from canada. Will this meeting take place with advisers or is it a family meeting . It has been described as a family meeting to us. Hence not an enormous amount will be briefed out of it. It isa amount will be briefed out of it. It is a safe bet that the principal private secretary s will all attend to hear what is being said and we expect some kind of announcement at some point this week. So many issues to be discussed, what are the key ones that need to be sorted out . The key things they will want to hammer out our work, how much work will harry and meghan continued to do as members of the royal family, on behalf of the queen, on behalf of our government, overseas tours and funding will be absolutely crucial. They will need to discuss how harry and meghan will be funded. They want to become financially independent, does that mean the prince of wales and the queen will stop all funding . They will also discuss commercial areas. There will be lucrative deals offered to harry and meghan but there will be areas that will raise a huge numbers at the palace because money and royals, as we have seen recently and historically, has been a difficult thing so they will be the key things to reach an agreement on. The restock that they might do some interview with lots of detail. Is that a kind of threat, do you think . I think that would be a real blast resort and i would be. I saw what was written, we know possibly a few things that could be said. I think harry and meghan would see that as a last resort. They are both very well connected and we know that harry is already working with Oprah Winfrey on an apple tv series, meghan has friends also. But what is much more important for them is to get some sort of deal and i do not feel they will need to after that. Thank you very much your insights. am sure that is a story many of you will be discussing not this morning but later on today as well. Do let us but later on today as well. Do let us not what you think about it. Carol has been talking about the weather and it looks like the rain is already under way. Time now to get the news, travel and weather where you are. Good morning, a quiet start, some of us even good morning, a quiet start, some of us even seeing sunshine, but storm brendan is on its way from the atla ntic brendan is on its way from the atlantic bringing heavy rain and also gales or severe gales putting eastwards through the day. More in 15 minutes. Its monday the 13th january. Our top story. Prince harry will meet the queen at sandringham for talks about his future as a senior royal. Prince charles and Prince William willjoin the discussions aimed at working out a way forward for the duke and the duchess of sussex. Were joined now by our royal correspondent Sarah Campbell whos at sandringham this morning. Sarah. What are we expecting to hear today . There are so many issues, arent there . So much interest, International Press tea ms so much interest, International Press teams are continuing to arrive here showing the global interest there is in this story. This is the first time that the senior royals, the queen, Prince Charles, Prince William and harry have met face to face since the couple announced their intention last week to step back from royal life. Those discussions will take place behind closed doors in sandringham. We understand meghan who flew back to canada last week will participate in discussions via the phone. What will be a good outcome for the wider role family and the couple . There has been much speculation this morning. The best outcome for meghan and harry is they get to keep their royal titles. I dont think that is up royal titles. I dont think that is up for discussion, no one wants to make this unpleasant. Possibly to have a foot still in the commonwealth and carry out some royal duties on their terms. For the most part, being overseas in canada, becoming financially independent of the royal family. The queen is keen to have an answer and the queen always likes things wrapped up quickly. The faster they get this wrapped up, the faster a working solution is put forward which the queen says hopes will be a blueprint for other minor royals. Meghan and harry have made it clear they want to take different paths, they want to take different paths, they want to combine some sort of Financial Independence with keeping their hand in with the royal family. That has proved tricky in the past. And the questions of security costs, will they keep their royal titles, all these questions to be answered, and this is a family summit. This announcement has caused hurt and disappointment within the royal family. These discussions will be difficult and will be lengthy. Thank you very much. Thank you for giving an update, we will continue to follow that story throughout the day on bbc. Candidates for the labour leadership have until this afternoon to win enough support to stay in the contest. They need the backing of 22 mps or meps to qualify for the next round, and whilst most are expected to achieve that, both Emily Thornberry and clive lewis may struggle. Our Political Correspondent Jonathan Blake is in westminster. Jonathan, a tense few hours ahead . Can you take us through the latest numbers. There are a couple for whom it will be touch and go. The deadline is drawing near for the labour mps be touch and go. The deadline is drawing nearfor the labour mps who wa nt to drawing nearfor the labour mps who want to be the next leader of the party to progress to the second round of the contest. There are four who are home and dry at this stage, the front burner sir keir starmer, way out in front with 68 nominations from his parliamentary colleagues. Behind him seen as a leading contender rebecca long bailey, the shadow business secretary, thenJess Phillips and lisa nandy also with enough support to go through. Those others are still in the race, for whom it is looking dodgy, Emily Thornberry, the shadow foreign secretary, ten nominations, clive lewis, the treasury, shadow treasury minister, hasjust four lewis, the treasury, shadow treasury minister, has just four mps backing him at this point, one of whom is himself. His team say it is all to play for but admit it will be hard for him to progress. Emily thornberry says she is confident she will get over the line. Those mps who do go to the next stage, there it is about winning support from trade unions and local constituency parties across the uk, but for those with the required level of support go through to the postal ballot of all Labour Party Members and registered supporters which closes on second april, the winner announced a couple of days later. Britains Biggest Regional Airline flybe has refused on comment on reports that it is in rescue talks to avoid collapse. Bens looking at this. I have spoken to flybe, the regional carrier, one of the biggest in europe, but they say they will not speculate on these reports. Reports from sky news they are in last ditch talks with the government to avoid a possible administration. And ey potentially being lined up as the administrators again refusing to comment. What is interesting is flybe was sold last year, put up for sale by its parent company, warning it was running out of cash, and bought by a consortium, including Virgin Atlantic. They were looking to use this given it has great regional connections across the uk and northern europe, to get people into the hubs for their virgin atla ntic into the hubs for their Virgin Atlantic flights. It is important for regional connectivity, one of the biggest operators out of aberdeen, belfast, birmingham, manchester, southampton, it employs about 2,000 staff. 200 routes around europe and the uk, 75 aircraft. But it isa europe and the uk, 75 aircraft. But it is a tough market, blaming uncertainty over brexit, consumer spending, competition from buses and trains eating into its profit. They will not comment but a lot of people will not comment but a lot of people will be looking closely to determine what happens next, and of course for the future of the staff involved in flybe, particularly the airports that rely on the services this brings in, passengers, they make money off the back of it, too. Borisjohnson and his irish counterpart leo va radkar are to visit stormont today to meet ministers in the newly restored devolved government. Power sharing in Northern Ireland was re established on saturday, with a landmark deal, after three years of deadlock. Keith doyle is at stormont. Keith, how symbolic is mrjohnsons visit . The sky looks amazing behind you. An important day today. Good morning from a very windy stormont. Another big day here, another busy day, which is amazing because for the past three years in terms of the assembly, this building has been empty, no politics going on. We have had a frenzy of activity in five days. On saturday, we saw the assembly formally starting up again with Arlene Foster, the leader of the dup, signed in as first minister, Michelle Oneill as deputy first ministerfrom sinn fein. What we will see today is the Prime Minister borisjohnson we will see today is the Prime Minister Boris Johnson and we will see today is the Prime Minister borisjohnson and iris Taoiseach Leo Varadkar irish. This is a success to have the assembly up and running. Mrjohnson released a statement saying this is an historic time for the people of Northern Ireland, stormont is now open for business again and the executive can move forward with improving peoples lives. There is lots of work. Politics hasnt been happening here for three years. Lots of expensive promises were made in that deal that the five parties part of this coalition have signed up to. Today will be more than just a photocall because the ministers will wa nt to photocall because the ministers will want to make sure borisjohnson and leo varadkar come up with the cash to back up those expensive promises, on hospitals, schools, policing, infrastructure, there is a lot of money that needs to be spent here to back up those promises and they will wa nt to back up those promises and they will want to see that cash today. Another story to keep an eye on, thank you. We will be talking to carol, we know there is a storm on the way. Protests have taken place across iran for a second day after authorities admitted shooting down an ukrainian passenger plane killing all 176 passengers on board. Demonstrators were reportedly heard chanting Anti Government slogans. Iran admitted unintentionally hitting the plane after initially denying it, amid rising tensions with the us. Two months after it faced the worst flooding in more than 50 years, the canals of venice are now almost dry. Have a look at these pictures. The city is renowned for being built on water but low tides mean the water has virtually disappeared, and the canals look more like mud trenches. It contrasts with these scenes from late last year, when more than two thirds of the city was underwater. What a change in a few weeks. Heres carol with a look at this mornings weather. You have been telling us about storm brendan. Good morning. The calm before the storm. Beautiful picture of sheffield. Some sunshine. But storm brendan is coming in from the atlantic. When it will come heavy rain and winds. These are already picking up. But it will get much stronger than the gusts you currently have. Quite where the first thing, a few showers. A weather front brings heavy rain. Strong winds, even severe gales in parts of the west through the morning. It hasnt arrived yet but is on its way. Ahead of it a few showers. A scrawny band of rain. If you are travelling could be disruption squally. If we ta ke could be disruption squally. If we take a look at the gusts, 65 miles an hour across plymouth, 50 across the south coast, 45 across east anglia and the midlands, 70 in west wales. 60 across Northern Ireland, 85 across the outer hebrides. 70 across north east scotland. Notjust disruptive but potentially damaging. These strong winds and rail will continue to push off the south east overnight. Along with it, some hail and thunder. Temperatures, up to seven, cold enough for pockets of frost in the north, and the risk of ice on untreated surfaces. Tomorrow, no pressure from the south west moved steadily northwards, windy across england and wales. Windy still across the north and west of scotland. After a quiet start here comes the rain and strengthening winds from the south west, moving across england, wales, Northern Ireland come into southern scotland. We will see some snow on the Lake District hills, pennines and Southern Uplands. Temperatures, although the chart tells you it will be mild, with the wind, it will feel cooler. On wednesday, this low pressure cooler. On wednesday, this low pressure system is here with a trailing weather front pushing away to the near continent. Still windy in the north with showers. There goes the rain from the south east. A lot of dry weather. Here come the showers. Temperatures in the high teens. Thank you, we will see you later. He was he was the Rugby League Star who defied his small stature to become one of the sports greats. Now, rob burrow is tackling his biggest challenge yet after being diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease. Fans and players showed their support yesterday with a special benefit match at his former home club leeds rhinos. Well speak to him in a moment, but first, lets take a look at what was an emotional day at headingley. There is rob burrow with his youngest, jackson, in his arms. Just come to show my support for rob, i think the whole game has shown why we are a family, as we are as a sport. Weve all been touched by robs story, i thought it were key that we come out and show we are here to support each other. Where have you travelled from today . From birmingham. Thats quite a trip. Why have you come . To support robert burrow. Rob burrow enters the field. Five minutes to go. Myler salutes him. Burrow, hero of headingley. Hero of the hour. What a man. You can see the emotion written large all over his face. Everybody in the stadium standing to applaud rob burrow. Well done, young man. It is hard to watch, what an incredible day that must have been, where you prepared for how emotional that would be for you and your family . Not really. You get the gist of what it would be like but when you are there, it is totally overwhelming. An amazing day. I have been lucky enough to enjoy many a day on background, but nothing like that. With everyone watching and you running on to the pitch. Emotional. When i came on, the emotionjust hit me. I am not an emotional person. But i was overwhelmed by it all. When i came home, unbelievable feeling. What have the last few weeks. We say months, it is weeks. You were diagnosed at the end of last year. I know. In all the interviews you have done, any time you speak about mnd, you are using your position, the fate you have to raise awareness for this disease, and you have done that incredibly the famous. Ididnt that incredibly the famous. I didnt know much about the disease. Hopefully, ican i didnt know much about the disease. Hopefully, i can work with doug we are weir. And hopefully they will find a cure. What happens with you . they will find a cure. What happens with you . I had been diagnosed, i arranged to meet him, a lovely guy, so inspiring. The way he is approaching it is the way i want to go. Live my normal life as much asi to go. Live my normal life as much as i can, be happy and positive, i wa nt to as i can, be happy and positive, i want to be like that. Stephen darby as well, many people know him from the football world. It took a while to get diagnosed, is that they challenge you had . No, iwas that they challenge you had . No, i was lucky. I was diagnosed within three weeks. A lot of people ta ke within three weeks. A lot of people take a year to find out. I found out in three weeks. I am lucky. The earliest they knew. Whatever i can do to raise awareness. They told you of your early stages. When did you start realising something was going on . My something was going on . My speech was slurred, my family telling me i am slurring my speech a bit. It got worse. I had an old injury. I went for a job in my shoulder. Jab. I injury. I went for a job in my shoulder. Jab. I mentioned to injury. I went for a job in my shoulder. Jab. I mentioned to the doctor about my speech. They got me checked. And i was diagnosed. What did you know about Motor Neurone Disease at that stage . Not much at all. I read up on the internet about the symptoms. I didnt believe it. But when i found out, it was a massive shock, yes. I suppose, nothing can prepare you for that either. No, that is it, nobody is telling you how to act when you tell them that. It really shocked my wife. That is it now. Move on. Was she with you at the time . Yes, she was. Presumably, doctors have to tell people this information, do you support do they support you through that . Yes. It is not easy. How do you tell people you have something where there is no cure . Linda was a great help. We move on now. And raise awareness. As parents as well, there is that heartbreaking decision of when you tell your children and how you tell your children, how did you as a family do that . We thought it would be a distraction at christmas. But i wanted them to know. So, they found out, they dont know. So, they found out, they dont know that much but they know now. So, move on. How old are they . We can see them here. Eight, four, and one. Children can be great levellers, what did they say to you . The middle one said, its boring that made us all laugh. Ifind it that made us all laugh. I find it fascinating, that made us all laugh. Ifind it fascinating, i that made us all laugh. I find it fascinating, i am sure many of our viewers, you are sat here and are so level headed about it, about telling your children you have a disease which is currently incurable. Is it part of your sporting background and the fact that you have had to fight, many people know rugby league, no you are only five feet and four inches, and many told you you couldnt have a career in rugby league and you had to fight to prove people wrong as a sportsman. Is that the same attitude you are taking . Absolutely. I dont intend on lying down. It has made me a smart person. Iam down. It has made me a smart person. I am ready to fight. We spoke to people after the testimonial, we wa nt to people after the testimonial, we want to play you a clip. Ijust think it is fantastic how the by ijust think it is fantastic how the rugby League Committee and Sports Community have come together. This area has pulled together, he is a special person. This is for him. I love him. He is one of my best pals, he is a champion bloke, you can meet a guy, he would do anything for you, you dont get many of them in your lifetime. The upmost respect for him, he is a champion, a battlerand everyone will be helping him along the way. He is wonderful. Rob is included in the band of brothers that have come on. Some things you cant control, but we will do our best to support him ata but we will do our best to support him at a time which is really difficult. So much support for you. It was jeremys testimonial and he said that as do it together. Thousands of fa ns that as do it together. Thousands of fans travelled from all over the country. It was broadcast live on sky sports. Everyone worked on the game forfree. What do you say to that . Totally overwhelmed and very humbled by it all. He is a realfriend. An emotional day, one i will never forget. The question for me is what are your priorities here now personally and from the diseases point of view because its little is known about it. I love for more research to go on. A lot of great things are being done. Iam lot of great things are being done. I am willing to do whatever to raise awareness. Doddie weir did a great job and awareness. Doddie weir did a great job and i want to do more. Iam sure job and i want to do more. I am sure you are getting medical opinions all the time, what have you been told about the next few years . Iam very been told about the next few years . I am very early stages, so, that is good. By being young, it helps me, my nerves are younger, so they should last longer. I am fit and well. Apart from my voice, ifeel great. Obviously, over time, well. Apart from my voice, ifeel great. Obviously, overtime, iwill get worse, but at the moment i feel great. If you have such a positive message. Do you at times feel frustrated or do you want to keep on fighting this . Fight frustrated about my voice. But i am fine. Iam but i am fine. I am here. But i am fine. Iam here. Also, i know lots but i am fine. I am here. Also, i know lots of people who get mnd, they tend to get it in their 50s. It is interesting you, doddie weir, stephen darby, there must be research into these young people getting this disease. Younger people seem. Whether there isa younger people seem. Whether there is a link, i am not sure. It is lovely to see you, thank you for coming in. I know you will get lots more support and messages.
