Thousands of people were trapped in a massive traffic jam near Ishwar Farm crossroads in Surat due to water supply pipeline laying work by the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC). Senior government officials were also stranded for over half an hour. The work caused double trouble at another location near Jamna Nagar alongside Ghod Dod Road. Police were not alerted in advance, leading to prolonged traffic congestion.
