Three Amarillo College Board of Regents members sworn in during Monday's meeting The majority of the seats in the Palo Duro Room of the College Union Building on the Amarillo College Washington Street Campus were full of friends, family, elected officials and community members Monday evening, as the college's Board of Regents celebrated the election of three board members during its first regular meeting after the May 1 election. According to previous reports by the Amarillo Globe-News, the board certified the results from May's election during a special meeting earlier this month. In May’s election, incumbent Anette Carlisle and new members John Betancourt and Peggy Carter Thomas were elected to serve on the board for six-year terms.
