The Sudbury and District Labour Council, OPSEU Local 619, and United Way Centraide North East Ontario are teaming up for a “Labour of Love” campaign that will see each plasma donation at the Canadian Blood Services new plasma donor Centre at 900 Lasalle Blvd. (in the Lasalle Court Mall) result in a donation of a women’s hygiene product to the local United Way in support of local initiatives. Members of local unions who want to participate in the campaign will be asked when they are making a plasma donation in February, to indicate which union/local they belong to and their employer. Canadian Blood Services will then notify the SDLC of the donation. Any union or employer interested in participating is asked to send an email to [email protected] or president [email protected].
