The Rare Book Collection at the Museum of Printing (A Virtual Event)

In the Museum of Printing in Haverhill, Massachusetts, more than 6,000 books and many thousands of ephemera samples are housed in a unique library. On November 21 at 3 p.m., Frank Romano, President of the Museum of Printing and a rare book collector for 60 years, will join the Princeton Bibliophiles & Collectors to introduce us to the Museum of Printing and discuss this rare book collection.
Frank Romano is President of the Museum of Printing in Haverhill, Massachusetts and Professor Emeritus, Rochester Institute of Technology. He has been a leader in the graphics industry for 60 years. At RIT, Romano was Melbert B. Cary, Jr. Distinguished Professor of Graphic Arts. He has written many books, including most recently a trilogy: “History of the Linotype Company” (2014), “History of the Phototypesetting Era” (2014), and “History of Desktop Publishing” (2019). He began his career at the Mergenthaler Linotype Company in Brooklyn, New York in 1959.
