She landed in Delhi on December 18 and was given an exemption from institutional quarantine. She was asked to self-isolate at home for a week instead. On the December 20, she developed a mild fever and a slight cough. To rule out Covid, she underwent a second RT-PCR test on the afternoon of December 22 and received her results by 10.30 pm—she had tested positive. Her RWA was informed right away, who informed the relevant authorities. A doctor from the office of the Chief Medical Officer did a house visit and advised medication. She also started Covid treatment comprising of Ivermectin, Doxy and Vit C / Zinc supplements on the advice of the family doctor and maintained a log of her temperature and oxygen readings. On December 24, another doctor from the CMO’s office visited her and took down travel and passport details for contact tracing.
