From Black Widow to Wanda Maximoff, Marvel’s few Phase One and Two heroines have been sidelined or killed. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is just the latest way MCU women have fallen so their male counterparts can rise — or at least fall more dramatically and heroically. Looking at the MCU ledger, there’s much too much red there.
