THA election candidate suffers stroke TAKEN ILL: THA election independent candidate Anthony Hector who suffered a stroke over the weekend. - WITH just over two weeks to go before the January 25 Tobago House of Assembly (THA) election, independent candidate for Black Rock/Whim/Spring Garden Anthony Hector has reportedly suffered a stroke. A source said Hector, 58, was taken to the Scarborough General Hospital on Saturday where he remains warded and is said to be resting comfortably. The source could not say if Hector will bow out of the election race or return to the campaign. On January 4, Hector filed his nomination papers along with several other candidates at Montessori Drive, Glen Road. He told reporters he felt nervous during the exercise as it was first time entering electoral politics. On that occasion, Hector said his main priority, if elected, will be to establish a community council for the electoral district.
