Tetra Pak Moving To Tethered Caps

1st April 2021
Tetra Pak has announced that it is set to start rolling out tethered caps on its portfolio of cartons.
The company stated that the move over the next three years will bring numerous benefits to food and beverage manufacturers and consumers, including minimising litter as the cap will stay attached to the package. The carbon footprint can also be reduced because the company’s tethered caps are planned to become available as a plant-based option, therefore increasing the renewable content of the package.
Meanwhile, the company revealed that it will accelerating the expansion of its paper straws offering to ensure further renewable and low carbon materials across its range of packaging solutions to meet customer sustainability needs.
