Between 4pm and 5.30pm on Thursday, a girl, aged 14, was walking on open land to the south of Westleigh Park when she was approached by a male. The male pulled her into some bushes before raping her. Yesterday, Greater Manchester Police said a 14-year-old boy had been arrested on suspicion of rape. And today the force said the boy had been bailed. A team of detectives continues to work on the investigation and an increased police presence will remain in the Westleigh Park area over the coming days.
