Teen gives 16,000 valentines to people who might not otherwi

As part of his Valentines by Kids, Patrick Kaufmann, 14, recruited students at 62 schools in Washington, Maryland and Virginia, to make cards, which were delivered to about 60 organizations he coordinated with, including hospitals, hospices and nursing homes and as part of Washington nonprofit Food & Friends’ home-delivery meal packages.
