TAUNTON — Jen Fusco Hoye started walking to clear her mind, but little did she know that her walks would become a voice for millions worldwide. From April 19 to May 16, 2021, Hoye walked over 300 miles and raised $11,037 to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for the first ASFP Marathon in a Month event held virtually. Throughout the 28 days, she helped raise money to further AFSP’s research and prevention initiatives to reduce the loss of life from suicide. Hoye lost her brother back in 2017. She said her family was completely shocked when they heard the news. Hoye walked in honor of her brother and others across the world lost to suicide.
