The multi-agency Shawnee County Drug Enforcement Task Force recently arrested four people while seizing 22 pounds of methamphetamine and about $50,000 cash, Sheriff Brian C. Hill said in a news release Tuesday.
Further details, including the names of those taken into custody, weren't being made public because the investigation remained in progress, said Deputy Abigail Christian, public information officer for the sheriff's office.
Hill said in the news release that he appreciates the continued commitment and collaboration between multiple law enforcement agencies in order to combat illegal narcotics in our community.
