Tasha Butts, the head coach of Georgetown University's women's basketball team, has passed away at the age of 41 after battling breast cancer. She had previously been a coach for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and had bravely shared her cancer diagnosis during the 2020-21 season. Butts was also a former WNBA player and had contributed to the success of the University of Tennessee's Lady Volunteers. She leaves behind her parents, brother, and nephew.
