View Comments One of the first things a person entering Pappas Dinner saw was the "friends and family wall" – a collection of over 40 photos that commemorate just some of the special relationships the Pappas family has cultivated inside their Apalachee Parkway restaurant over the past five years. On Sunday, the family said farewell to their beloved customers for the last time in the diner. "We're not saying goodbye, we're saying see you around town," Owner Kim Pappas said. Although the diner is closing, the Pappas family plans to stay in touch with those they've met along the way. Kim's husband Spiro, 80, moved to the United States from Cyprus and opened his first restaurant in New York City at age 15 and has owned many since, including multiple in South Florida where he met Kim. The two have been married for 22 years and have two sons – Peter and Spiro Jr. – who both worked in the restaurant with them along with Kim's mother Chris Brannin, and nephew Jordan Brannin.
